As soon as they were done with training, the girls changed into different clothes. With a smile on her face, Zara made sure to stick with her friends as they weaved their way in and out of the various groups of people. The night was just beginning and there was so much to do. Mack and Tatiana mentioned a group of stores that they should go to first.
The first shop was a basic clothing store, and the girls separated, heading to different areas. Zara headed over to the workout attire, selecting things that looked similar to her current clothes. She chose a better pair of shoes, before heading over to the girls.
A silver color watch caught her eye. Without even debating it, she placed it into her basket. Glancing at the sign that advertised it, she knew it would be a good choice. The initiates all started out with a little over one thousand points to last them through stage one. After stage one they would reset with one thousand. She moved through the rows of clothes, selecting her size. Luckily most of what she got was cheap.
Zara met back up with the rest of the girls, and they quickly moved to the checkout area. Her purchase cost a little over two hundred points. Placing the bags onto her arms, she moved onto the next store, which was the hair salon. Her hair by now was down to her back, she never really cut it back in Amity. There was never a real reason to cut it then. But now, she was dying for a change. Something more Dauntless, besides there had to be at least a few inches of dead ends.
A stylist named Ria took her back, her short hair split dyed blue and black and actually suited her well.
"What are you thinking about doing to your hair?" She asked Zara as she placed the thing around her neck.
"Just trim it up and maybe bleach and dye it black?" She spoke, moving to get her hair out of the updo that it was in.
"For all of those it should take a bit over two hours or so."
And then they started.
Zara's hair was clipped into sections, the dead ends quickly being trimmed off. Once her hair was shorter, the stylist grabbed the bleach and started to apply it. The two talked quietly to each other as the bleach set in her hair. After the bleach was washed out and dried the black hair dye was put on. She leaned her head back and let her eyes shut. She could see Tatiana from her side view, getting her own hair styled.
Her mind was on overdrive, mostly trying to absorb everything that has happened in the last day or so. Though they had only been training for not even a day, Zara knew that she would make it. Sure, it might not be easy at times, but she could do it.
Besides, how hard could it really be?
True to Ria's words, her hair was cut and styled to perfection and Zara even got a discount and only had to pay ten points for the haircut and dye. She walked out, bags on her arms, a smile on her face.
After a stop at the dorms to place all of her new belongings away, she made way to the tattoo shop that was there. What she didn't expect to see was her older sister, Adira with a wide grin on her face, as she walked in.
