A/N Hey, guys. Welcome back to the second chapter of the Bleach and Legacies crossover story When Ichigo Kurosaki Met Josie Saltzman. So first off, you guys are amazing and I'm really happy that you guys like the story so far since I'm still thinking of the ideas on how to make the crossover more realistic. And second, I hope you guys are getting the vaccine, being good, and not being stupid. Anyway, this is the second chapter of the Bleach and Legacies crossover and before I get started, I want to give a shoutout to Jakekenstein for reviewing so far. Here's more of When Ichigo Kurosaki Met Josie Saltzman story, and here we go.
Again, I'm just borrowing the characters and plot from both Bleach and Legacies.
After getting settled around the small town of Mystic Falls and not having found a way to return to the Karakura Town or the Soul Society, Ichigo decides to enroll to Mystic Falls High School and register as a student. But unike Karakura Town High School, this high school has jocks and cheerleaders. While he was walking to the office with a backpack slung over his shoulders, all of the students in the hallway gave him a weird look, mostly because of his orange hair color. Walking up to the receptionist desk, Ichigo decided to act normal and not trying to draw too much attention.
"I'm here for a student register." Ichigo stated.
"Name?" asked the receptionist.
"Ichigo Kurosaki." he replied, being extra careful and not wanting to give away his occupation as a Substitute Soul Reaper.
Just like with the students in the hallway, the receptionist gave him a strange look, not having heard the last name before. Going along, she processed his name on the student file and gave him some papers. Leaving the office, Ichigo double checked his pockets for his combat pass, but he touched something in his other pocket, and the Substitute Soul Reaper paused, wondering what he had just touched. He takes a cell phone out of his pocket, and it was no ordinary cell phone. Unlike the soul pagers that Rukia and Renji were given by head captain Yamamato in the Soul Society, the cell phone has a touch screen, volume buttons, and a power button.
'Weird, I have never seen this kind of cell phone before.' Ichigo thought to himself.
Deciding to go along with it for now, Ichigo walked to his locker and got his notebook out of his backpack and walked to history class. All of a sudden, a group of jocks bump into the Substitute Soul Reaper, making him drop his notebook. The leader of the jocks, Connor had started laughing.
"Oop, didn't mean to bump into you. My bad." Connor teased.
Not feeling fazed at all, recalling that he dealt with a group of skateboarders in Karakura Town before meeting Rukia, Ichigo kicks Connor, making the jock groan in pain.
"I do not take jokes from anyone like you. You remind me of the group of skateboarders I had beated up. And I taught them a lesson." Ichigo scowled.
"Who do you think you are?" one of the jocks asked Ichigo.
Not giving an answer, Ichigo began beating up the jocks, giving them minor injuries. All of the students in the hallway were shocked by how one guy can beat up a bunch of jocks.
"My name is Ichigo Kurosaki. And here's a first and final warning. If you ever come near me and do things on purpose like making me drop a notebook, I will make sure none of you get a scholarship!" Ichigo warned.
And just like that, Connor and his buddies got up and ran off. Ichigo drew his attention back to the students, who could only stare in shock. The Subsitute Soul Reaper scowled, and this was a signal for the students to get lost and get to class. While walking in the hallways, Ichigo is surprised to find Hope Mikaelson and her friends in the school, wondering what they were doing here.
"Hey! Hope Mikaelson!" he called.
The tribid looked over at the Substitute Soul Reaper, unexpecetedly surprsied, wondering what he was doing at a school that are filled with jocks and cheerleaders. Hope walks up to Ichigo, leaving some of her friends behind.
"Ichigo Kurosaki, I'm surprised to find you here." she said.
"Feeling's mutual. What are you doing here?" he asked.
"My school's headmaster assigned me and my friends to look for two girls, who had went missing last night." she replied.
"Hope, who's this?" asked the curly haired male.
"Ichigo, meet my friends Landon Kirby, Lizzie Saltzman, MG, and Kaleb." Hope replied.
Wondering how the last name Saltzman sounds familiar to him, Ichigo recalled meeting Josie yesterday when he first made landfall in Mystic Falls, he observed Lizzie carefully. Unlike Josie, Lizzie has blonde hair and blue eyes, and she's also a year younger than Ichigo. Then there's Milton Greasley, or as everyone calls him MG, is African-American, and Kaleb has dreadlocks.
"And guys, this is Ichigo Kurosaki. Josie and I met him while we were in the town cleaning up yesterday." the tribid continued.
The Substitute Soul Reaper nodded, as the others nodded back as well. He had to be careful of revealing himself as a Substitute Soul Reaper, because they don't know what a Soul Reaper is since he comes from another world.
"So you guys are here because two girls are missing?" asked Ichigo.
"More likely, the town's sheriff is accusing us for their disappearance, and my father is doing his best to ensure none of us get punished." Lizzie replied.
Over the next few hours, Dana, one of the missing girls, is dead, and Landon is suspected to be responsible, but it turned out that the monster responsible is an arachnid. Unable to deal with more stress today, Ichigo decides to find a place to stay for a while since he hasn't found a solution on how to open a portal and return to Karakura Town, but luckily, one of his classmates was nice enough to let him move in. Ichigo then hears from MG, having broke the news on finding Sasha and compelling her to forget what has happened to Dana. Lying down in his makeshift bed, Ichigo's cell phone buzzes, he grabs it from the table and checked the message with a phone number on it.
Josie - Ichigo, it's Josie. We met at the town yesterday while I was cleaning up.
Ichigo - I remember you. What's up?
Josie - Have you heard about what happened today with the two missing girls?
Ichigo - Your friend MG broke the news to me. Everything okay with you?
Josie - I'm fine. I had to clean myself up after helping Hope & Lizzie deal with the arachnid.
'It's strange to see how monsters exist in this small town. I've dealt with Hollows before, but I've never seen any mysterious monsters that are not related to the Hollows.' he thought.
Josie - You want to meet up tomorrow? I really want to get the weight off my shoulders for the upcoming honor council election.
Ichigo - Sure. I was gonna go out tomorrow after school to ease some stress away.
The next day after school, wearing a jacket and a pair of boots, Ichigo stood outside of the Mystic Falls Grill, waiting for Josie. The siphoner noticed the Substitute Soul Reaper was waiting for her.
"Ichigo!" Josie called as she waved.
"Hey." Ichigo replied.
The Substitute Soul Reaper and the Siphoner walked inside as they found a table close to the window. Sitting in silence, Ichigo drank his milkshake while Josie looked at her cup of coffee, and he noticed something was troubling her.
"Everything okay?" he asked.
"I'm fine, but feeling peachy. It's just, Lizzie has been stressing me out today about the outfit choices for her victory rally, and my girlfriend Penelope is planning to run the election." she replied.
"Sounds peachy. Luckily nobody in this town knows anything about a Soul Reaper." he said.
"What about your friends? Do they possess any unique power like you?" she asked.
"There's my friend Uryu Ishida, and he's a Quincy, Orihime Inoue, she can use her power to create a shield and heal others, and then there's Chad, who can cover his entire right arm with an armor and he can fire a powerful blast at will." he replied.
The siphoner nodded, allowing the Substitute Soul Reaper to continue.
"And there's my Soul Reaper allies from the Soul Society too. And they possess different powers like me." he finished.
Josie was stunned after hearing Ichigo mentioning his close friends and allies, who all possess their own power. She then observed the trouble look in his face, revealing that he only wanted to return to his real home. Josie wanted to hold his hand, but she refrained herself from doing so because she's dating Penelope.
Josie then realizes she was in love with Ichigo Kurosaki, the Substitute Soul Reaper.
And that will be the end of the second chapter today. So what you guys think so far? Love it or hate it? This second chapter took place in between episode four and five of Legacies' first season.
