"Do you ever wonder where Chuck is now, Dean?"

The question came out of nowhere just as Dean was drawing into the parking lot adjacent to the grocery store.

"Should I care?" Dean snorted. "And why did you even bring that up?"

Sam shrugged. "Simple curiosity. What does God do when he loses his power and has to fend for himself?"

"The guy was a creep, "Dean sentenced. "He created and destroyed universes on a whim."

"Yeah, but he created such beauty too. Everything around us came from Chuck's mind and someone who can conjure that up can't be all bad."

Dean glared at his brother. "Seriously Sam. After everything he put us, and countless others through, you're feeling sorry for him?"

"That's not what I'm saying…"

"That's exactly what you're saying, " Dean scowled. "How the Hell did I end up with such a bleeding-heart brother."

"Well, actually, " Sam teased. "Chuck's to blame for that. Or would you rather he'd left you an only child."

Dean rolled his eyes. "Fine. I'll let him have that win, Samantha! Even a girlie Disney princess brother is better than none!"
