A/N Hey, guys. Welcome back to more of the Degrassi Welcome Back Home series. So before I get started, I hope everyone is getting vaccinated, continuing to follow public health guidelines, and continuing to maintain social distancing. First, you guys have been really amazing so far. Showing your love and support. Second, my wi-fi's been acting really weird this past week. And third, I know it's already been a few weeks since I published the tenth chapter, and I thought about publishing another chapter. But anyway, this is the eleventh chapter and I'm gonna break it down on the characters' narration as well as the song choices for their narration. I might have a bad taste in picking song choices for each of them, but please bare with me. So, this is the eleventh chapter, and here we go.

1. Adam's Narration - Beside You by Marianas Trench

2. Aisha's Narration - 7 Rings by Ariana Grande

3. Carter's Narration - Here by Alessia Cara

4. Colt's Narration - Perfect by Simple Plan

5. Ethan's Narration - Tears Don't Fall by Bullet For My Valentine

6. James' Narration - The Suburbs by Arcade Fire

7. Janie's Narration - Good For You by Selena Gomez & A$AP Rocky

8. Melody's Narration - What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction

9. Peyton's Narration - Roses by The Chainsmokers

10. Serenity's Narration - Don't Stop The Music by Rihanna

So this is the playlist I had come up with for each of the characters based on their narration and their taste of music. Since James is a fan of indie music, I might as well add Arcade Fire to it.

Adam

Flashback:

During the final days of summer, Adam decided to hang out with his girlfriend Monica, so they could spend their days together as a couple. Going to her home, Adam walked to the front door, and knocked on the door. Frowning, he put his hand on the doorknob and somehow it was unlocked. He opened the door and walked in as he took his shoes off.

"Monica?" he called.

Walking upstairs, Adam heard some giggling and talking. Slowly walking over to Monica's bedroom, he opened the door and is shocked to see his girlfriend kissing another guy that was not Adam. Monica stopped kissing the guy and Adam's expression says it all.

"Adam, this is not what it looks like." she started.

"Who the hell is he?" asked Adam.

"I should probably go." the guy, Ryan stated as he got up and tried to leave, but Adam shoved him forward.

"I'm gonna ask you again, Monica. Who the hell is this dude?" Adam repeated.

"His name's Ryan. I kind of met him." said Monica.

"And how long have you been seeing him?" asked Adam.

"I've been seeing him for almost a month." she replied.

"So you've been seeing him behind my back? Without telling me?" Adam demanded.

"I've ended up developing my feelings for him. I was gonna tell him that I have a boyfriend and I sort of forgot." said Monica.

"Do you think I'm stupid? You ended up getting together with another guy while we were in a relationship, Monica. How could you do this to me?" said Adam.

"Look, we can talk about this." she said.

"No, you know what? We're done. Forever." said Adam as he turned away.

"What are you saying, Adam?" asked Monica.

The dark brown haired teenager turned around and his eyes were glassy.

"Adam, just let me explain." she said.

"I hate you, Monica! We're through!" Adam snapped.

And just like that, Adam took off running, not waiting for Monica to say anything. He ran all the way home, ignoring the concerned looks from the bystanders as he avoided them. As he got home, he laid down on his bed and cried in his pillow. Unlocking his phone, Adam goes to his Facebook page and changed from his in a relationship status to single.

Now:

Adam shook off the painful memory he had in his mind. Ever since changing his Facebook relationship status, some of his friends had reached out to him and asked if he was okay. He then told them Monica had cheated on him. Refusing to think of Monica ever again, he had to focus on high school. While he was getting his homework from his locker, someone tapped him on the shoulder and he drew his attention to Melody, leaning against the lockers.

"Hey you." she greeted.

"Hey." he replied.

Deciding it would be a good time to tell her about his ex-girlfriend, Adam closed the locker and started walking as Melody walked beside him, wondering what was troubling him.

"Do you remember when I told you about my ex-girlfriend last week?" he asked.

Tying her auburn hair in a ponytail, Melody nodded, recalling that he promised he would tell her another time during lunch break.

"In the summer, I went over to her house so we could hang out, but when I got there, I caught her making out with another dude. I just kind of lost it, I snapped, and I told her we're through. And I didn't want to think about her ever again. After I got home, I went to my Facebook page and changed my relationship status to single." Adam explained.

"What happened after that?" asked Melody.

"Some of my friends reached out to me and asked what was going on and why did I change my relationship status. And I told them my ex-girlfriend cheated on me." he replied.

Aisha

Getting ready for biology class, Aisha was walking beside Colt, who was heading to history class. Playing some music in her earphones, she was trying to bury all of the trauma she endured while she was young before Carter was born. While trying not to think about it, she doesn't hear Colt calling her name.

"Aisha. Aisha!" Colt repeated as he tapped on her shoulder before she removed her earphones and drew her attention to him.

"What?" she asked.

"You just walked past your biology class." he replied.

Aisha rolled her eyes as she turned back around and walked back to her biology class. Sitting at a nearby desk close to the bookshelf, Aisha quickly put away her earphones and placed her school stuff on the desk. Waiting for the biology teacher, Aisha glanced up and saw Adam sitting at one of the desks in the middle row.

"Good morning, Adam." she said.

"Morning Aisha." he replied.

Just then, a teacher walked into the classroom and a few students were shocked and surprised that their biology teacher is Liberty Van Zandt, another one of the school's alums who had graduated with the other staff who all teach at Degrassi.

"Good morning, students. I hope all of you did your homework assignment. Today we're gonna be covering chapter nine of the textbook. And there will be a test. If anyone didn't get perfect marks, there will be a makeup test. And the future of colleges and universities is gonna be calling you when you graduate." said Liberty.

'I just want to get this day over with.' Aisha thought to herself.

"Mr. Hawthorne, well done on getting your assignment finished from yesterday." Liberty continued.

"Thank you, ma'am." said Adam.

"And Ms. Crane, well done on getting your homework finished." said Liberty.

"Thanks, Ms. Zandt." said Aisha.

Carter

Meanwhile with Carter, he was in music class and his music teacher is Gavin Spinner Mason, the older brother of Ethan Roberts Mason. Spinner was teaching Carter and his classmates on playing musical instruments. Carter was having a tough time playing the flute, and he had to keep trying until he hit the notes right.

"Mr. Crane, I think you should stop playing the flute for now." Spinner instructed.

Carter stopped playing the flute, as the thought of him being bisexual continued taking over hid mind. He was uncertain if he wanted to come out as bisexual. Remembering that he would fear that Aisha and the rest of his family would reject him because of sexuality, Carter shook the thoughts out of his mind.

"Adam Hawthorne, you're up." Spinner called.

Carter watched as Adam raised his clarinet and started blowing into it as he hit the notes perfectly. And Carter was almost jealous that Adam knows how to play with musical instruments without any problems.

"Good job, Adam. You can stop anytime now." Spinner ordered.

Adam stopped playing the clarinet as Spinner called out the rest of the students to play their musical instruments they chose. The bell rang, ending the music class.

"Everyone, before you leave, wipe clean the instruments you played with today. Next week, we're going over some guitar lessons." said Spinner.

As Carter put away the flute in the case and got ready to leave the class, Spinner calls him.

"Carter, have a seat." Spinner instructed.

Carter turned back around and sat down on one of the chairs.

"Carter, is there something you want to share with me? You got distracted when you were playing the flute today." said Spinner.

The young freshman hesitated, whether if he was comfortable revealing his secret.

"The reason why I got distracted while I was playing the flute today is because I'm bisexual, and that thought still takes over my mind." said Carter.

"You know, one of my friends who came to this high school came out as gay. He denided his own sexuality at first, but he struggled to come out because he lived in fear that his family would disown him, and he worked it out with his mother at the end." Spinner explained.

"And would that help me come out as bisexual?" asked Carter.

"That's something you have to ask for yourself. If you have the heart to come out and tell your family about your sexuality, they can accept it or not." Spinner replied.

Colt

During the lacrosse practice, Colt was having a hard time letting go of the past. Whether if it was his parents separating or the car accident that put him in the hospital for four months before his freshman year. He thought his life was perfect, but he was wrong.

'If it wasn't the car accident that placed me in the hospital for four months, I would still be good at playing lacrosse.' he thought.

He continued to practice in an effort to release his anger and resentment that he built for himself. While practicing, he hissed as he nearly sprained his ankle.

"I have to keep going. I can't let the injury prevent me from pursuing my dreams. Or let myself keep thinking about the car accident." he told himself.

Just then, Ethan joined Colt, as the two popular jocks looked at each other in silence.

"You okay there?" asked Ethan.

"I'm fine. Just letting go out of the anger and resentment that's inside of me." Colt replied.

"Let me guess, your life isn't perfect as you thought it would be." Ethan pointed out.

"Thanks for pointing that out, captain obvious." Colt said sarcastically.

"Cut the sarcasm." said Ethan as he picked up a lacross stick and practiced with Colt.

While they were practicing, Colt is uncertain if he wants to patch things up with his father despite the on and off father and son relationship. And this made Ethan notice.

"Something in your mind?" asked Ethan.

"It's just family issues. Nothing to be concerned about." Colt replied.

Ethan raised his eyebrows. He knows it're more just a family issue with his new friend.

Ethan

"I think it's more than just a family issue." said Ethan.

"I don't exactly have the best relationship with my father right now." said Colt.

"Do you want to talk about it?" asked Ethan.

"Not right now, though." Colt replied.

"Attention, students. Just a reminder, this Friday is the back to school dance. Make sure you dress formally for the occasion. And this is the last call to get your tickets. Ask someone to go to the dance with you. Get a date, and let's make this memorable. That will be all." Mr. Simpson announced on the PA system.

"Have you asked anyone to the dance yet?" asked Colt.

"I did plan to ask one of the ninth graders." Ethan simply replied.

"You're a little too late for that, my friend. Someone already beat you to it." said Colt.

"Great. The last thing I need is to ask a ninth grader who happens to be a smoker." said Ethan.

"You mean Peyton Reid? I doubt she'll go to the dance with you." Colt commented.

"Oh, cut the sarcasm. I was going to ask a ninth grader with a wavy auburn hair and blue eyes who's in gym class with me last week." said Ethan.

"Melody June Taylor? Adam Hawthorne already asked her." Colt pointed out.

"He what? I was gonna ask her. Now I'm stuck with asking Peyton to go with me." said Ethan.

Archie Simpson's Confidental Student Files #4

Student Name: Carter Crane

Family: Denise Crane (Mother), Aaron Crane (Father), Aisha Crane (Older Sister), Tony Crane (Older Brother)

Medical Conditions: N/A

Notes: Carter is another one of those students who's afraid to come out as bisexual. Like with my former student Riley Stravos, Carter is afraid that his family would disown him if he revealed his sexuality. More on that later. Although one secret that nobody knows is that Carter has anxiety, and I feel uncertain if he'll be able to overcome his anxiety without the help of his parents Aaron and Denise. Will he be able confront his own sexuality? But like my student Aisha, Carter also comes from a wealthy family. But for now, I need Carter to focus on his life in high school.

And that is it for chapter eleven. So what do you guys think so far? Love it? Hate it? It took me a while to write this since I need to bring in some of the original Degrassi characters as I pictured them in their teaching careers. More chapters will come. In the next chapter, the back to school semi-formal dance.
