A/N Hey, guys. Welcome back to more of Degrassi Welcome Back Home Series Season One series. So first off, I hope you guys are doing well, staying safe out there on wherever you are in the world, getting vaccinated, and continuing to social distance. Second, I want to thank some of you guys for supporting this series so far as I try to come up with more ideas. And third, this is chapter thirteen of the series. So instead of the usual high school stuff, it will focus on the love stories. The main characters' point of view in this chapter is Adam, James, Janie, and Melody. So sit back, and let's get to it.

Adam

On Saturday morning, Adam was getting ready for his date with Melody, having got the courage to ask her out before the semi-formal. Putting on a dressed shirt and a pair of jeans, he puts on his jacket and left his bedroom as Chewie the cat followed him, wondering what got his owner so excited. Adam puts on his shoes as he bent down and petted Chewie briefly before he leaves the household.

"I can do this. All I have to do is tell Melody my feelings and hopefully she'll return her feelings." he muttered to himself.

Going over to the Taylor household, Adam pressed the doorbell and waited for someone to answer it. After a few minutes, a door was opened and Melody stood at the doorway and he studied her thoughtfully. She was wearing a pink dress with a blue jacket, a bracelet on her right wrist, and a pair of flats. And her dark brown hair was curled. She gave him her sweetest smile and he smiled back. She definitely looks beautiful to him.

"Hi." she greeted him in a sweet voice.

"Hey. You look really beautiful today." he replied.

"Thanks. You look nice too." she said.

"Should we get going?" he asked as he offered his hand to her.

She nodded as she happily took his hand. Walking to the bus stop, the two soon to be high school sweethearts gazed at each other lovingly.

"I'm really glad that we got to do this today since it's our first date." said Adam.

"Me too. I wanted to get out of my house for once today." Melody agreed.

"Have you thought about what clubs you're gonna join this year in school?" he asked.

"I haven't yet." she replied before she asked him, "How about you?"

"I don't know yet. Whatever is best fit for me." he replied.

Making a stop at the movie theatre, holding hands, Adam and Melody walked to the box office lineup. They looked at the showtimes and the movie that still is playing is the anime movie A Silent Voice, and Adam recalled his friends telling him how good the movie was and the emotional weight of the movie.

"Hey, you want to watch A Silent Voice? It looks really good." he offered.

"Sure. There's nothing else good for me to watch right now." she said.

"Next in line!" the cast member called.

"Hey, there. May I get two pair of tickets for A Silent Voice?" asked Adam.

"You two are lucky because these are the last pair of tickets." the cast member told them.

"We'll take it, then." said Adam.

After paying for the movie tickets, they walked to the concession stand and lined up to get some popcorn. And for the first time since the summer, Adam had finally felt happy to be with someone and that person is his soon to be girlfriend Melody June Taylor.

"Adam, please stop staring at me before I push you." Melody said jokingly.

"You're beautiful, that's why I can't stop staring at you." said Adam.

After getting some popcorn, the couple went to watch the movie. Before they can step in the audotorium, a familiar voice called out to Adam.

"Adam?" a familiar female voice questioned.

Adam's happy expression changed, haven't heard the voice since that summer. He promised himself that he wouldn't run into her. Slowly turning around, Adam's dark brown eyes met with Monica's light brown eyes and his expression says it all.

"What are you doing here?" he asked coldly.

"I'm here on a date." she replied.

"Adam, who's this?" Melody questioned him, concerned.

"Monica. My ex-girlfriend who cheated on me." Adam replied.

Melody has the same expression as Adam, and she wasn't about to let her date with Adam get ruined by his ex-girlfriend.

"If you're here to apologize to him for breaking his heart, you're too late. He had already found someone. And that someone is me." said Melody as she grasped Adam's hand.

"If you'll excuse us." said Adam as he walked away with Melody.

James

Meanwhile with James, he was having a good time on his first date with Janie, despite the fact it's been awkward since Janie had to keep adjusting her glasses.

"Janie, you don't need to keep adjusting your glasses every time." he reminded her.

"I'm sorry. If I take off my glasses, I might have to stand closer to you." she said.

James placed his hands on Janie's shoulders and made eye contact with her.

"Listen to me, Janie. Whether you have your glasses on or not, you still look beautiful inside and out to me, all right?" he said.

She nodded, as she stopped adjusting her pair of glasses. Making a stop at Eaton Centre, the two friends took an escalator to the food court level as they sat down on a table and started eating their take-out.

"So, where do you want to go after this?" asked James.

"Let's go to Ripley's Aquarium. I've been wanting to go there for a while." Janie replied.

After eating, the two teenagers took a subway train and got off at the Union station and made their way to the Ripley's Aquarium. James paid for the admission as he and Janie explored around the aquarium. Holding hands, they took selfies with the wildlife animals swimming in the tank behind them.

"I think this has been the best first date we have so far." she said.

"Yeah, me too. I'm glad that we're doing something like this. Exploring around the city and going to places like the aquarium." he agreed.

"You know, you have everything planned for our first date." she commented.

"I think we should do more stuff like this often." he offered.

'Gosh, I hope I tell Janie about my feelings soon. But not right now since we're in a public place with everyone around us.' he thought.

What James doesn't know is that Janie is also sharing the same thought as him. Deciding that he wants to come back to the aquarium another time, he thought about bringing Newt and Pamela so they can admire the wildlife animals.

"Hey, you want to get out of here?" she asked him.

"Didn't need to ask." he simply replied.

Janie

After leaving the Ripley's Aquarium, James and Janie went to the Royal Ontario Museum to explore different art and history that took place during the early ages of the dinosaurs before humanity came around. And Janie hoped that she would tell James about her feelings soon before Monday comes around the corner.

"I'm having a good time so far." she said.

"Me too. It's actually been a while since I've been to the Royal Ontario Museum. I'm glad that nothing has changed throughout the years." he said.

"So, where do you want to go next?" asked Janie.

"The Art Gallery of Ontario. They have more art over there." James replied.

Leaving the museum, they went over to the Art Gallery of Ontario and paid for their admissions as they started exploring around, admiring some art. Janie definitely wants to come back here again so she can learn more about the history behind the artists who had crafted the arts and having it on display.

"Hey, you want to get out of here soon?" he asked her.

"Sure. It's almost night time anyway." she replied.

After taking more selfies with James and the arts on display, they leave the AGO, getting ready to end their first date. Making a stop at a convience store, James buys some ice cream cone for himself and Janie as they walk to the Trinity Bellwoods Park.

"Hey, James. There's something I've been wanting to tell you." she started.

"What is it?" he asked.

"I know this is our first date, and I don't want to end it. What I mean is our dates shouldn't end it. And I want to continue arranging activities with you." she replied.

"There is something I want to tell you as well." said James.

"What do you mean?" asked Janie, not feeling ready for what is about to come next.

"I like you, Janie Thompson. Ever since you live close to my household, I didn't have the courage to be friends with you. And I want to be more than just friends." he replied.

Without a second thought, James closed his eyes and kissed Janie on her lips. Her eyes widened, as color flooded on her face. Did that just happen?

"Janie Thompson, will you be my girlfriend?" he asked as he pulled away.

The red headed teen nodded numbly. James McKay had just kissed her and she was really speechless at the moment.

Melody

After running into Adam's ex-girlfriend, Melody wasn't happy that Monica would just show up out of nowhere in an attempt to apologize for breaking Adam's heart. Still holding hands, they make a stop at the Riverdale Park and sat at a nearby hill as they admired the sunset in the horizon. Adam wrapped his arm around Melody's shoulder as she rested her head on his shoulder.

"The sunset is so beautiful tonight." she murmured.

"One of the best." he agreed.

'I need to tell Adam how I feel about him. But as long as his so called ex-girlfriend isn't around to bother us again.' she thought.

"Listen, Melody. I'm so sorry that we had a run-in with my ex-girlfriend today. I wanted our first date to be perfect without our exes popping out of nowhere." he started.

"Adam, it's fine. I'm not really used to running into any exes who would just show up out of nowhere." she said.

"Melody, there is something I need to tell you." said Adam.

"You do?" asked Melody, not feeling ready for what he is about to tell her.

"I like you, Melody June Taylor. You're beautiful and you're pretty inside out. And what I like about you is that you're smart, your smile helps me get through my stressful day, and whenever you need some help, I'm there for you. And I don't want to have our next date to end after our first one." he replied.

"What are you trying to say, Adam?" she questioned.

Adam then pressed his lips against Melody's lips as her blue eyes widened. Her best friend and secret crush Adam Hawthorne had just kissed her. She then closed her eyes and titled her head and kissed him more.

"Melody June Taylor, will you be my girlfriend?" he asked.

"Yes, I will be your girlfriend, Adam Hawthorne." she replied as she smiled.

He kissed her again as he ran his hand through her dark brown hair. Melody couldn't help but think that Adam Hawthorne has now become her boyfriend.

"You want to call it a day?" he questioned.

She nodded as he stood up and helped her up on her feet. Holding hands, they take a bus and went to Adam's household for the rest of the night. Laying down in Adam's bed, he wrapped his arms around her shoulder and her waist as she wrapped her arms around his neck and rested beside him.

"Promise me you'll be here when I wake up in the morning?" she asked.

"Always." he replied as he kissed on her forehead.

And that was all Melody needed to know. And she doesn't want Adam to leave her side when she wakes up in the morning. A few minutes later, Adam slept quietly as Melody cuddled closer to him, as she tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. Tomorrow is sure going to be a good day for her and her boyfriend.

And that will be it for the first date chapter. The boys had finally confessed their feelings to their girl crushes. Also, there are no student files for today. But there will be more in the next few chapters. But I will update the student files as I go along with the story. What did you guys think of the thirteenth chapter? Love it? Hate it? Let me know what you think in the reviews section. Chapter fourteen coming up and there will be more drama involved.
