A/N Hey, guys. Welcome back to the fourteenth chapter of the Degrassi Welcome Back Home series. So first off, happy November, I hope you guys are doing well and taking care of your physical and mental health, continuing to follow the public health guidelines, and making time to check in with your friends and your family. And second, I know I was supposed to update last month, but I didn't get the time to do it because I was preoccupied with my studies and doing tests. And I can't believe it's almost been one year since I first published this project. But anyway, this is the fourteenth chapter and this takes place after the thirteenth chapter. I hope you guys will like this chapter, and let's get to it. I will also update the characters' biography at the end of the chapter. So, this is chapter fourteen, and here we go.

Adam

On Sunday morning, Adam opened and rubbed his dark brown eyes at the sight of the sunrise outside of his window. He slowly moved his head and looked at Melody, who is still sleeping peacefully beside him.

"Good morning, sleepyhead." he said as he played with her hair.

"I don't want to wake up yet." she moaned as she stirred.

"You have to be home in a couple of hours because we have school tomorrow morning." he reminded.

"Do you really need to remind me that we have school tomorrow?" she asked.

"Unless if you want to get into trouble." he replied.

"You're no fun, babe." she muttered as she turned away.

"What was that?" he asked.

He then started tickling his girlfriend, as she squirmed and giggled, before she finally opened her blue eyes. She turned back and looked at her boyfriend in his eyes.

"Are you gonna wake up now?" he questioned as he stopped.

"Fine. I'm gonna wake up now. Happy?" she replied.

"Very. Now, I'm gonna go clean myself up for a little bit. And when I get back, you better stay awake." said Adam as he got up and left his bedroom.

A few minutes later, he returns to his bedroom and Melody falls back asleep. Walking over to his girlfriend, he tickles her again, causing her to squirm and laugh.

"This is what happens when you go back to sleep." he said.

"Okay, fine. I'm getting up now." she said as she sat up.

"You had a good dream last night?" asked Adam.

"Yep. Still dreamt about our first date yesterday." Melody replied.

"And we're officially high school sweethearts." he agreed.

"Did you send me the in a relationship request on Facebook?" she questioned.

"I did while you were still asleep. And I'm still waiting on your response." he replied.

Melody opened her Facebook and went to her page and saw that she had received the request from Adam. Smiling like an angel, she accepts the request. And this changes from her single status to In A Relationship w/ Adam Hawthorne.

"I love you so much." he said.

"I love you too." she said as she sat and cuddled closer to him.

"So, where do you want to go for today?" he asked her.

"Anywhere." she replied.

James

Waking up on a beautiful Sunday morning, James rubbed his eyes, as he still remained laying on his bed, thinking about his date with Janie. He couldn't really help but think that he and Janie are now a high school couple. Unlocking his phone, he quickly sent a good morning text message to his girflriend before he gets up and getting ready for the day.

Fifteen minutes later after cleaning up, he returns to his bedroom and checked the text message from Janie. Grinning, he quickly replied back.

James - Good morning, beautiful.

Janie - Good morning. I'm still thinking about our first date last night. :D

James - Yeah, me too. Do you want to go out again today? Because we have school tomorrow.

Janie - Sure thing. My dad's gonna be at work for the whole day anyway.

James - See you later.

Changing into his normal clothes, James left his household to meet up with Janie so they can spend their Sunday before Monday comes around the corner. A few minutes later, Janie comes out of her household, wearing a pair of a denim jeans and a pair of running shoes. She grinned upon seeing him, and he grinned back at her.

"So, you ready to go?" he asked as he approached her at her doorstep and offered his hand.

The red headed teen nodded and took his hand. Together, they left and went to explore around Toronto for the rest of the day.

"The weekend is going by pretty fast, I swear." she said.

"I know. I don't like Mondays because they're not usually my days." he agreed.

"I think Fridays are a much more better days for me." said Janie.

"That I can agree with." said James.

"Hey, I've been meaning to ask you. Have you thought about what clubs you're going to join this year in school?" she asked.

"I'm interested in anything relating to music, and also making movies as well." he replied.

"I didn't know you were into music and making movies." she said.

"Well, there are a few things you don't know about me yet since we were on our first date yesterday." he said.

Janie

"What about you? Have you thought about what clubs you're going to join?" he asked her.

"I did think about joining the debate club and the quiz team this year. Although I did play lacrosse in my old school, and I was pretty good at it." she replied.

"But as long as I don't join any sports teams." he said.

"I really enjoyed the time of my life on our date yesterday, I'm not gonna lie." she said.

James could only stare at her as Janie gets lost in his gleamy eyes.

"James, please stop staring at me before I push you." she said playfully.

"You look amazing. That's why I can't stop staring at you." he said.

"So, what do you think is going to happen at school tomorrow morning?" asked Janie.

"I don't know. Maybe the school will announce the sign-ups for the clubs. Or maybe some after school activities. Who knows?" James replied.

"Speaking of school, I need to get some more coloured pencils because I have art class tomorrow morning." she said.

"I need to review my notes for the biology test tomorrow." he said.

"Well, what do you say we get to shopping for school supplies?" she offered.

"That I can agree with you." he accepted.

The high school sweethearts quickly went to pick up some school supplies for their classes tomorrow morning in school. Making a stop at the Riverdale Park, they sat at a nearby hill and watches as the others ran around and went on with their weekend activities.

"Do you have any other relatives that lives here in Toronto?" James questioned.

"Well, I have an aunt who works at a local radio station, and my grandparents. I always enjoy spending time with them, and making my presence known around them." Janie replied.

"Wow, that sounds like you have a loving family of your own." he commented.

"Well, I try." she said.

'Oh, how I wished I tell James about my secret. But I don't want to tell him yet.' she thought.

Melody

After spending Saturday night at Adam's home, Melody and her boyfriend walked around the Eaton Centre, having changed her clothes from their date. For the first time in two years, she felt really happy to be with someone like Adam Hawthorne. Making a stop at the Indigo bookstore, Adam went to get some Starbucks while Melodt browsed around for some new books.

"Hey, babe." said Adam as he gave her the coffee.

"Hey." Melody replied.

"Did you find anything interesting you want to buy and read?" he questioned.

"I wished. But I haven't found nothing good yet." she said.

"Take all the time you need. We still have a few hours before I have to get you home because we have school tomorrow morning." he reminded.

Just then, a popular girl from another high school ends up bumping on Melody's shoulder, as she almost dropped her cup of coffee.

"Hey! Rude much?" asked Melody as she gave her coffee to Adam and brushed her shoulder.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't see you there." the popular girl scoffed.

"You should apologize to my girlfriend." said Adam as he stepped forward.

"This has nothing to do with you, pretty boy." the popular girl told him.

Not letting a popular person get away with that kind of comment, Melody took the cup of coffee from her boyfriend and threw it at the popular girl.

"How's that?" asked Melody.

"Hey! What's going on here?" the security asked, having heard the commotion.

"Sir, this popular girl here bumped into my girlfriend on purpose, I told her to apologize, but she refused to apologize. And then she insulted me." Adam replied.

"She threw her cup of coffee at me!" the popular girl cried.

"I don't care who started first. Everyone else, back to doing your business, you two enjoy the rest of your day. You troublemaker come with me right now." the security ordered.

Letting out a loud groan, the popular girl left with the security guard.

"Who does she think she is?" asked Adam.

"Some, snobby rich and spoiled. That's who she is. And this is the reason I don't hang out with the popular people." Melody replied.

"You okay, babe?" he asked her.

"Fine. Just fine." she grumbled, still not getting over the fuss.

"Come on, let's get out of here before more popular students from different high schools show up out of nowhere." Adam suggested.

Leaving the Eaton Centre, the high school sweethearts walk to the Art Gallery of Ontario and explored around, admiring the history and the art behind the artists. After taking selfies with the art, they leave the AGO, getting ready to call it a day.

"So, you want to call it a day and head home?" he questioned her.

"Honestly, yeah. That would be great." she answered.

Returning to the Taylor household, they step outside of the front door, as Melody got ready to take out her house keys and walk inside.

"This is me." she said.

"I'll see you in school tomorrow morning, then." he said.

"Bye, Adam." she called.

"See you tomorrow, Melody." he replied.

Before Adam can leave, Melody grabbed his hand, turned him around, and kissed him. Even though she wants to tell him to stay, it was Sunday, and this could wait another time.

"I love you, babe." said Adam as he pulled away.

"I love you, too." said Melody as she opened the front door and stepped inside.

Going to the window in her living room, she watched as her boyfriend walked down the street back to his household. Walking upstairs to her bedroom, she changes into her usual pajamas, as she checked the time on her phone. She smiled upon seeing the best selfie she took with her boyfriend on her lock screen. Melody quickly texted him.

Melody - Hey, babe. I miss your face already.

Adam - Yeah, me too. Even though I just left a few minutes ago and went home.

Melody - I'm really happy that we got to spend our day together. Let's hope for the better day for the rest of the week.

Adam - We'll never know, though. Unless if one of us gets into another conflict.

Melody - I gotta head to bed. I'll see you tomorrow in school.

Adam - For sure. Sweet dreams, my beautiful and pretty girlfriend.

Melody - Sweet dreams, my amazing boyfriend. :)
