Early the next day Ashlyn and Alain were abruptly woken up by a pained roar from Norman's Green House where most of their pokemon were staying for the night.

"What's going on?" May asked still sleepy but also fearful

"That sounded like Hestia," Ashlyn said before she ran towards the greenhouse with Pikachu and Wobble following her

"Ashlyn! Wait!" May exclaimed before she saw that Alain had also run after her

"May what's going on?" She heard Zoie ask before she saw that Dinah and Malcolm were also woken up by the ruckus

"I don't know" May answered before she also ran after her sister

"Should we go to?" Zoie asked

"You should sleep we'll go," Dinah said before she and Malcolm went after their friends

When they reached the greenhouse they were surprised to see Hestia with two eggs near her stomach, her head on Ashlyn's lap, Alain's Charizard nervously walking in circles as Alain tried to calm down his partner while Caroline and May were holding several towels a basin on what seemed to be boiling water, to Caroline's left side were a Blissey and an Audino

"Oh so that's what was happening," Malcolm said before another pained roar filled the air

"Anything we can do to help?"Dinah asked

"Oh no dears everything is just fine," Caroline said before she got her focus back to the Charizard giving birth

"Maybe we should just make them some coffee?" Malcolm suggested before he and his sister walked back to the house

The sun had just begun to rise above the horizon when Dinah and Malcolm along with Norman walked back into the greenhouse where they say Hestia and Charizard curled around five eggs and the four humans looking very happy and tired at the same time

"We have tea and coffee," Dinah said smiling as she gave a cup to Caroline then May

"Oh thank you dear" Caroline said before yawning

"Looks like we'll be staying for a couple of days," Ashlyn said as she unknowingly leaning onto Alain as she watched Hestia present May with one of her eggs which May hugged happily

After a week and saying goodbye to Caroline and Norman, the group along with Dinah, Malcolm, and Zoie started to head towards Little Root Town to see how Professor Birch was doing.

"I haven't been here in a while," May said as she carried her new Charmander Egg that Hestia gave her

"Nee-san do you think Professor Birch is going to be mad that I gave Marshtomp to Alain?" Max asked a little scared

"I don't think so, you did what was best for Marshtomp and you did it out of love besides you both agreed to it so I don't see any problems with it," Ashlyn said as she petted Pikachu

"It's actually a sign of. Being a good trainer, having the ability to think of your pokemon's happiness first before your own" Malcolm said smiling

"Oh, there it is!" May exclaims excitedly pointing towards the lab

"Well we're almost there," Ashlyn said smiling

Meanwhile in a dark and noisy pub far from Hoenn, a woman who has magenta long hair that she wears curled in a comet-tail behind her head. She typically wears a pair of green pearl earrings that are meant to complement her blue eyes wearing a white crop top style blouse, denim pants plus heeled boots, a man who has shoulder-length periwinkle hair with a single fringe sprouting from the center, and green eyes wearing a black button-down shirt, black ripped jeans plus blue sneakers and a Meowth was listening closely to several Team Rocket grunts who were drunkenly talking about a new mission to Hoenn

"So the boss wants his granddaughter back huh" a grunt who was more sonnet than his colleagues asked

"Yeah apparently he needs a successor since his kid Silver wants nothing to do with him"

"Hey what's the kid's name?"

"I don't know he didn't say but I heard that the mom nearly killed the kid cause she was a psychotic b*h" this statement made Meowth growl lowly

"Yeah I think I heard about that too, made the boss angry for months when he heard can't say I could blame him"

"What you going soft?" A junior grunt mocked

"Would you kill the young lady that would be our future boss?" A senior asked as she glared at them all

"We should go now," Meowth said to the two detectives with him

"Yeah"

Outside the pub was a red-haired man who was being accompanied by a bulky, bipedal, crocodilian Pokémon with blue scales. It has large, powerful jaws lined with several sharp fangs. Three teeth are visible when their jaws are closed: two in its lower jaw and one in its upper. Its eyes are red with black markings around them and ridges above them and its lower jaw is yellow. There are three red spines on its body, each with three points: one on top of its head, one between its shoulders, and one near the tip of its tail. There are also several groups of large, rectangular scales on its arms, knees, tail, and waist. Its back is slightly hunched with ridges behind the shoulders and hips. On its lower body is a yellow, V-shaped marking that extends up to its thighs; there is a thin line through the center of the marking. Its arms have five clawed fingers and its feet three clawed toes for the three detectives.

"So?" He asked

"You were right the big man wants her," the blue-haired man said

"From what we heard he plans to make her take over the operation" the woman added before Meowth growled

"Well they ain't gettin' her and there's no way she'd ever do what they say," Meowth said unable to stop his anger "Ashlyn ain't like that she'll never be like that"

Back in Little Root town the group had just arrived at the lab and showing prof. Birch Blaziken, Sceptile, and Marshtomp explaining why Marshtomp was Alain's pokemon now and introducing Dinah, Malcolm, and Zoie, a voice in the distance made Alain turn around, and to his shock, he saw his father Augustine and little sister Mairin in a Camerupt pulled wagon along with Prof. Oak.

"Alain!" Mairin called out again smiling as she waved at her big brother as soon as the wagon stopped

"So that's Mairin," Ashlyn said smiling brightly as she saw her grandfather who was just as happy to see her

"Hello again Ashlyn" Prof. Oak greeted smiling as his granddaughter hugged him

"What are you doing here pére?" Alain asked as he caught Mairin just as she tackle hugged him

"Well Prof. Oak invited us and your petite soeur convinced me to take a break from my research," Augustine said before he hugged his son after Mairin went over to talk to Ashlyn and May

"Well it's wonderful to see you again," Alain said smiling

"Grandpa these are our friends Dinah, Malcolm, and Zoie" Ashlyn introduced smiling before the three bowed at the two professors

"It's nice to meet you" Dinah greeted smiling

"Professor Sycamore do you think we can see the Kalos starter please," Max asked politely which got Blaziken, Sceptile, and Marshtomp's interest

"Of course Max," Augustine said smiling before Mailing interrupted him

"Pére can I do it please?" Mairin begged before Augustine chuckled before giving her three pokeballs "Come on out!"

After Mairin threw all three pokeballs into the air, a small, quadrupedal fox-like Pokémon. It is covered in pale yellow fur that is longer on its haunches. It has a white muzzle with longer fur on its cheeks, large, dark orange eyes, and a pointed, black nose. When its mouth is open, two pointed teeth can be seen in its upper jaw. Tufts of dark orange fur cover the interior of its large ears. Fennekin also has small paws with no visible toes and slim legs. Its tail is fluffy with a dark orange tip was the first to appear followed by a bipedal, mammalian Pokémon. It is primarily light brown with darker arms and three triangular markings around its face. It has oval, brown eyes; a triangular, red nose; and rodent-like incisors. Its arms have three fingers, while its feet have two long claws. Covering its back is a tough, green shell, which extends from its head to halfway down its tail. The tip of its tapered tail is orange. There is a small, off-center hole in the shell on the back of Chespin's head and, around the face, the shell has four leaf-like spikes. Another spike is split into three parts on the back of its head and finally a quadrupedal, frog-like Pokémon. It has light-blue skin, white hands, and a dark blue stripe from the center of its oval head to its nose. It has three fingers and two toes on its hands and feet. Its eyes, which have yellow sclerae, black irises, and white pupils, protrude vertically from its head due to their size. Froakie produces a large mane of bubbles from its chest and back and has two small bubbles on its nose

"Introducing Fennekin, Chespin, and Froakie," Mairin said proudly

"Wow, perhaps we should show you all the Sinnoh starters?" Dinah said smiling especially when Max, Zoie, and Mairin nodded excitedly

"Shall we as well Madam?" Alain said making Ashlyn giggle

"You too May"

"Alright"

"Everyone out!" All five trainers said before all starters from Kanto, Sinnoh, Alola, and Galar appeared perking the interest and excitement of all three professors

"Wow look at all the starters" Mairin exclaimed happily

"I spy with my little eyes several perfect cash bags," a male voice said smirking

"And a little girl that needs to be caught" a woman added before they both smirked

"Hey Dinah why haven't you evolved your Piplup yet she looks strong" Max asked as he watched the little penguin pokemon play with his sister's Primarina

"Oh she doesn't want to evolve even back in Sinnoh she and I got into an argument about it," Dinah said smiling as she was reminded of when she first started her journey

"You can do that?" Mairin asked as she was holding her pokemon Chespin

"Yes with an Everstone," Ashlyn said smiling at her little brother's curiosity

"Is that what's around her neck?" Mairin asked

"Um-hm I- " before Dinah finished a net surrounded the Pokemon while a metal hand from a giant robot wrapped around Ashlyn's waist

"Ashlyn!/Nee-san!" Everyone exclaimed in shock while Ashlyn's pokemon all started to struggle to try to get to their trainer

"Not a smart idea," a feminine voice said before electricity erupted from the hand and net electrocuting the Pokemon underneath and Ashlyn knocking her out

"Grrrr...Who are you!?" May demanded while Alain and Professor Oak glared darkly at where the voice came from inside the robot

"Glad you asked, Prepare for trouble..." The woman said

"And make it double!" the man continued

"Here's our mission, so you better listen!"

"To infect the world with devastation!"

"To blight all people in every nation!"

"To denounce the goodness of truth and love!"

"To extend our wrath to the stars above!"

"Cassidy!"

"And Butch, of course!"

"We're Team Rocket, circling Earth all day and night."

"Surrender to us now or you will surely lose the fight!"

"She asked for your name, not a whole dialogue" Malcolm deadpanned as he readied himself to release a pokemon along with Alain and Professor Oak who both looked just about ready to kill them

"Oh, how lover boy and grampa are angry ohhh scary" a woman with purple eyes andgold hair worn in pigtails. She also wears a pair of triangular pink earrings. Her uniform takes the form of a black short-sleeved minidress with the team's red R logo on the front, plus white gloves that reach the sleeves and have a red stripe near that area and white thigh-high boots with the same stripe near the tops and a small heel.

"Like a few twerps could handle two of Team Rocket's elites" a man with brown eyes and short green hair. He wears a black long-sleeve shirt with a large red R, a white belt, black pants, white boots, and gloves with red trim.

"Oh shut it you! Eevee Shadow Ball!" May said angrily that these idiots hurt her big sister

"Let Ashlyn go!" Eevee said before she launched a shadow ball attack towards the two distracting them

"Pikachu use Iron Tail to get Ashlyn out!" Prof. Oak commanded before Pikachu did just as he was told breaking the metal hand releasing Ashlyn who was caught by Alain

"Spiritomb! Hypnosis!" Dinah exclaimed before releasing the Forbidden Pokemon who appeared in front of the two strangers and hypnotized them "Release the Pokemon now"

"Release the Pokemon," both people said in a monotone before the woman Cassidy pressed a few buttons and with that, the net moved up allowing the Pokemon to run towards their trainer

"Ashlyn? Ashlyn, please wake up" Sobble said shaking her trainer as much as she could but nothing which made her cry and the other Pokemon to be furious

"Sceptile Leaf blade! Marshtomp Mud Shot!" Alain commanded his voice still being the primary evidence of his anger

"Blaziken follow that up with overheat" May commanded before all three Hoenn starters launched their attacks

"Piplup Whirlpool, Infernape Overheat too/Torterra Leaf Storm!" Dinah and Malcolm commanded before their Pokemon attacked prompting the other Pokemon present sending the two into the sky

Back in Kanto, Meowth was feeling horrible like something bad happened to his trainer which his current partners hadn't missed along with the red-haired man

"Yes sir we understand sir," James said after he placed down his Pokegear "Bad news they've struck"

"What?!" Meowth said in surprise and worry

"Two team Rocket cadets called Butch and Cassidy attacked Ashlyn and attempted to steal their Pokemon while they were at professor Birch's laboratory luckily they were able to handle everything just fine but... " James said looking down " She got injured"

" WHAT! " Meowth exclaimed feeling like he failed his promise to Red

"They electrocuted her along with the Pokemon, Lance says that she'll be just fine after a night of rest and a cherry-berry salad but it would be better if you'd be at her side Meowth," James said as he looked at the Scratch Cat Pokemon

"I can take you there right now" the man said

"Are you sure about that Silver?" Jessie asked

"Yes I am," Silver said as he walked outside
