OPENING THEME: KU ZEN ZETSU GO (Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters)
Kokoa and Sanji watched as Yami and Kiwi Magician Girl faced off. Kokoa scowled intensely at the preparing duelists.
"Why're we wasting time here!? Just let me bash her over the head and finish this!" she grumbled.
"No, Kokoa," Yami warned, "While a duel spirit can't technically be destroyed in our world, Kiwi Magician Girl's connection to Valeria has been corrupted. If she's destroyed now, there's no telling what it might do to not only Valeria's connection to her, but to the rest of her duel spirits as well!"
"Are you kidding me!?" Kokoa shouted angrily, "how do you even know that!?"
"Don't forget, Yugi has a connection to Duel Spirits of his own," Sanji reminded her, "he knows a lot more about this then we do." He lit a cigarette, drew in a long puff, and blew out a small cloud of smoke, "hate to say it, but I think we're better off in the cheering section for this one."
"If you're going to be cheering, Sanji, why not cheer little ole me?" Kiwi Magician Girl asked seductively, bending forward to further accentuate her already barely hidden curves. Sanji froze as the usually mature Magician Girl turned the seduction up to 11.
"How pathetic," Kokoa hissed, "letting yourself be manipulated like this, then acting like a damn skank on top of it. This is ridiculous."
"Hmmph, rude little brat," Kiwi Magician Girl snickered at Kokoa. "Sanji, you'll stick up for me right?"
"Enough!" Yami declared forcefully.
"Right," Sanji agreed, "Kokoa, stop being rude to Kiwi."
"Are you kidding me!? You can't be falling for this crap. She's under mind control, remember!?" Kokoa lectured angrily.
"I haven't forgotten, but that's no reason to be rude to a lady."
"Such a gallant gentleman," Kiwi Magician Girl cooed, "I hope you'll continue to be a dear and cheer your lady on." Sanji's composure broke, or rather his thin façade of such shattered like a pane of glass struck by a bowling ball thrown by Goku.
"You've got it, Kiwi-swan!" he stammered, moving like his bones had turned to slime. One would have almost sworn hearts were emerging over his head and floating upwards as he fawned over the seductive Magician Girl, "I know you can do it!"
Kokoa's club striking the back of Sanji's head was the only thing that brought the pathetic display to an end.
"Damn traitor," she growled at the dazed chef.
"Hmph. Little brute," Kiwi Magician Girl growled.
"Enough games, Kiwi Magician Girl," Yami hissed, "let's begin!"
"We can't begin yet, Pharaoh," Kiwi Magician Girl replied, wagging her finger at Yami, "we haven't even established the stakes yet."
"What stakes!?" Yami demanded.
"Hmm, the brute will do," came the reply as Kiwi Magician Girl pointed her hand at Kokoa. Without warning, a pyramid of the green crystal entombed Kokoa. Her fury was apparent through the semi-transparent crystal as she roared angrily and struck at the walls of her prison, but neither her enraged shrieks nor her powerful blows could pierce the shell!
"What have you done!?" Yami roared angrily at his foe.
"Just watch," Kiwi Magician Girl ordered. A glow filled the crystal prison, covering Kokoa up to her mid shins. When the light faded, Kokoa's expression had changed to one of panic. The prison had filled with solid crystal below where the glow had reached up, encasing Kokoa's legs as well!
"KOKOA!" Yami shouted in dismay.
"More of the prism will fill with every Life Point you lose, Pharaoh," Kiwi Magician Girl explained, "and when you lose, little Kokoa Shuzen will be preserved in crystal for the rest of eternity."
By now, Kokoa was angry again. It wasn't clear if she really grasped her situation since her enraged shrieking couldn't escape her prison, but she was angrily shrieking and lashing out, her blows utterly failing to even crack her prison. Whether the young vampire knew it or not, she was in very real danger. The stakes were high before, yet somehow, they had been raised.
KIWI MAGICIAN GIRL'S TURN (Hand: 5 LP: 4000)
YAMI( Hand: 5, LP: 4000)
"I'll be taking control of this duel right from the beginning!" Kiwi Magician Girl declared, pulling two cards from her hand, "I use scale 1 Dragon Pulse Magician and Scale 8 Harmonizing Magician to set the Pendulum Scale," she declared, placing the two monster cards at opposite ends of her spell and trap card zone!
The two female magicians appeared, floating beside Kiwi Magician Girl, their Pendulum ranks appearing beneath them!
"Pendulum scale?" Yami questioned, "what does a Pendulum scale do?" He was so distracted by the idea of the Pendulum scale, it took him a moment to notice that the two monsters were wearing the same style of bikini as Kiwi Magician Girl. Looking into their eyes, he realized they were a dull, empty shade of green, similar to the Magician Girl's crystal. He quickly realized that whatever Debauchery had done to Kiwi Magician Girl, it had affected all of Valeria's Duel Spirits.
"By setting the Pendulum Scale, I can now summon any monster whose level falls between the ends of my pendulum!" Kiwi explained.
"I see. Your Magicians are scale one and scale eight," Yami reasoned, "so you can use it to summon monsters between level two and seven."
"You catch on fast, Pharaoh," Kiwi taunted, holding up her remaining three cards, "and you're right. I can summon as many monsters from my hand as I want so long as their levels fall between levels two and seven! Cards like level six Dark Magician Girl, level six Apprentice Illusion Magician, and level four Sky Striker Ace: Raye!" she shouted as her three monsters appeared before her, each clad in the same attire as Debauchery's other prisoners. "I suppose that will suffice for a first turn."
"Then it's my move!" Yami declared, drawing a card.
YAMI'S TURN (Hand: 6 LP: 4000)
KIWI MAGICIAN GIRL (Hand: 0 LP: 4000)
"I may not have your Pendulum Monsters, but I do have Apprentice Illusion Magician, who I can Special Summon directly from my hand by discarding a card!" Yami revealed, discarding a card from his hand to summon his own Apprentice Illusion Magician. She appeared in front of him, facing her counterpart.
"You've got to be kidding me," she growled at the sight of the enslaved Apprentice Illusion Magician, "what an embarrassment."
"Next, by sending a Level 6 or higher Spellcaster from my deck to the graveyard, I can trigger the effect of my Magician's Soul! By discarding it, I can summon back to very card I sent to the graveyard to activate it! Come forth, Dark Magician Girl!" Yami revealed, carrying out his play, resulting in Dark Magician Girl appearing alongside Apprentice Illusion Magician.
"Huh," she said upon seeing her counterpart, "this Dark Saiyan of Lust seems to really live up to his name."
"Is that all you have to say?" Apprentice Illusion Magician demanded, "don't know if you've noticed, but that's another version of you baring everything to the world."
"Huh? Why're you so mad? It's not like our favorite outfits don't show off a fair bit of skin."
"NOT TO THAT DEGREE!" Apprentice Illusion Magician shrieked angrily as Dark Magician Girl timidly cowered away from her, "and even if my outfit did show that much, there's a difference between the outfit I pick and being forced to wear one!"
"I guess that's a fair point."
"ACTIVATE SAGE'S STONE!" Yami shouted, playing a spell card.
"That's your cue!" Apprentice Illusion Magician ordered as a crystal appeared in front of Dark Magician Girl!
"Right!" she replied, channeling magic into the stone. It began to glow, and created a glowing portal on the ground below it. In a flash of golden light, a pillar of white energy engulfed the stone. When that energy faded, the stone was gone and Dark Magician stood in its place.
"Our situation is even worse then I'd feared," Yugi's ace monster cursed as he analyzed the situation. He glanced back at the trapped Kokoa, gritting his teeth, "we must approach this carefully."
"For now, we need to deal with the threat in front of us," Yami declared, "Sky Striker Ace: Raye only has 1500 attack points, so we'll start there! Go, Dark Magician Girl!"
"Right! Sorry about this, Raye," Dark Magician Girl declared, "DARK BURNING ATTACK!" she shouted, pointing her rod at Raye and firing a stream of magical flame at the Sky Striker, destroying her!
KIWI MAGICIAN GIRL (LP: 3500)
"Don't forget about Apprentice Illusion Magician's ability," Dark Magician cautioned.
"I hadn't," Yami admitted, "if we attack a Dark Spellcaster like Dark Magician Girl, Apprentice Magician Girl can sacrifice herself to transfer her power to the target. Our only choice for now is to target Apprentice Illusion Magician!"
Yami didn't even need to call out his order. His trusted companion knew what his Pharaoh required and acted without being told. "DARK MAGIC ATTACK!" he shouted, attacking and destroying Apprentice Illusion Magician.
KIWI MAGICIAN GIRL (LP: 3000)
Kiwi Magician Girl had only her Dark Magician Girl to stand against Yami's magicians. Apprentice Illusion Magician tensed, ready to attack.
"Pharaoh, give the order. Let me clear her field!" she begged.
"You'll be destroyed as well," Dark Magician warned, "let's be cautious for now. We aren't without options."
"I agree," Yami declared, holding up his final two cards, "I place two cards face down and end my turn."
"Grrr, I suppose I should have expected a strong opening move from the King of Games," Kiwi growled angrily, "I DRAW!" She took one look at her card and smiled, "I activate Card of Sanctity!"
"Damn it," Apprentice Illusion Magician swore, "she's refilling her hand!"
"Yes, but she's refilling ours as well," Yami declared, drawing the top six cards from his deck, "Don't forget, Card of Sanctity allows both players to draw until they hold six cards in their hand.
KIWI MAGICIAN GIRL'S TURN (Hand: 6 LP: 3000)
YAMI (Hand: 6 LP: 4000)
"Perhaps, but you forget, I still have an advantage you don't," Kiwi declared.
"I haven't forgotten your Pendulum Scales," Yami declared firmly.
"And I'll be making use of them now! PENDULUM SUMMON!" she shouted, pulling 3 cards from her hand, "I summon Chocolate, Apple, and Lemon Magician Girl!" She called as she summoned the three Magician Girls, all in the same state as her other creatures.
"Not good," Dark Magician Girl cried out.
"Three of her Magician Girls at once. That complicates things," Yami admitted.
If we attack one of those Magician Girls, he heard Yugi inside his head, they'll half our monster's attack points and summon a new Spellcaster to force us to attack!
"Any of the three can be trouble alone. Together, they'll be very difficult to deal with," Yami admitted, "but I've got a bad feeling all three of them won't be sticking around long."
"You're not wrong, Pharaoh. I need my Magician Girls' sacrifice to crush you, beginning with Dark Magician Girl! By tributing her, I activate the effect of Lemon Magician Girl, allowing me to add a Spellcaster from my deck to my hand!" she revealed as her Dark Magician Girl vanished and her Duel Disc ejected a card from her deck into her hand. "This Spellcaster won't be staying in my hand long, though," she admitted, "since the Spellcaster I've selected is Blizzard Princess," she revealed showing Yami a card featuring a blue haired young woman.
That card's level is to high for her Pendulum Scales! Yugi realized, she'll have to sacrifice two of her Magician Girls to summon it!
"No, she won't," Yami revealed, gritting his teeth, "Blizzard Princess' ability allows her to be tribute summoned with only one tribute, so long as she sacrifices a Spellcaster!"
"And as luck would have it, that's exactly what I intend to do!" Kiwi admitted, "I tribute Apple Magician Girl to summon Blizzard Princess!" she shouted, tributing Apple Magician Girl and summoning the blue haired young woman to the field to stand between her Chocolate and Lemon Magician Girl.
BLIZZARD PRINCESS (Level: 8, Spellcaster/Effect, Attack: 2800, Defense: 2100)
Twenty-eight hundred attack points!?
"And it gets worse," Yami cursed, "thanks to her special ability, we can't activate our spells and traps for the rest of our turn."
"I would love the chance to get rid of your favorite monster, Pharaoh," Kiwi Magician Girl admitted, glaring at Dark Magician before her glare shifted to Apprentice Illusion Magician, "however…"
"If you try, all you'll do is trigger my effect and get your Princess destroyed instead," Apprentice Illusion Magician admitted calmly, knowing what was coming. With Blizzard Princess blocking Yami's trap cards, there was nothing he could do to stop it.
"BLIZZARD PRINCESS, ATTACK APPRENTICE ILLUSION MAGICIAN!" Kiwi Magician Girl directed her monster!
BLIZZARD PRINCESS: 2800 ATK
APPRENTICE ILLUSION MAGICIAN: 2000 ATK
There was nothing to be done as Blizzard Princess created a magic blizzard. Apprentice Illusion Magician was encased in ice before shattering and vanishing.
YAMI YUGI: 3200 LP
To make matters worse, the trouble was far from over as more of Kokoa's crystal prison began to glow, encasing the vampire up to just below the hem of her skirt. Kokoa's panic was visible, even if her cries couldn't pierce her crystal prison.
KIWI MAGICIAN GIRL: HAND: 3, LIFE POINTS: 3000, FIELD: Blizzard Princess, Lemon Magician Girl, Chocolate Magician Girl
YAMI YUGI: HAND: 6, LIFE POINTS: 3200, FIELD: Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl
"Hang on, Kokoa! I will get you out!" Yami promised, though he doubted she could hear him any more then he could hear her.
"Don't make promises you can't keep, Pharaoh," Kiwi taunted, placing two cards face down, "this can only end one way. That girl will be encased in crystal for all eternity, I'll be taking any of your duel spirits my master desires into his service, and you and the rest of your spirits will receive a one way trip to the Shadow Realm!"
"Don't get ahead of yourself! It's my move!" Yami declared, drawing.
YAMI YUGI'S TURN (HAND: 7, LP: 3200)
KIWI MAGICIAN GIRL (HAND: 1, LP: 3000)
We still have the lead for now, Yugi optimistically reminded Yami, we just have to get rid of her princess!
"That may be true for now, but Valeria's deck is full of tricks that even Yusei has never seen before. We can't afford to drop our guard. Not with everything at stake," Yami warned him.
I know, but still, we have just the card to begin our counter attack!
"I agree! I activate the Equip Spell, Magic Formula!" Yami declared playing the card he had drawn. A large book appeared in front of Dark Magician, who grabbed it, raising his power. "This spell grants Dark Magician 700 additional attack points," Yami revealed, "raising his power to 3200. More then enough to bring down your Princess!"
Her Magician Girls can only use their effects if they're the targets! Yugi boasted, she can't protect her Blizzard Princess!
"DARK MAGIC ATTACK!" Yami ordered as the newly powered up Dark Magician attacked Blizzard Princess.
"I activate the trap card Threatening Roar!" Kiwi Magician Girl revealed as one of her face down cards revealed itself. A shockwave emanated from the card, dissipating Dark Magician's attack! "Not only is your attack negated, but this card ends the Battle Phase so you can't attack again!"
No! She blocked our attack! Yugi exclaimed in dismay.
"It can't be helped," Yami cursed, "I switch Dark Magician Girl to defense mode. Then, I summon Big Shield Gardna in defense mode. I end my turn," Yami cursed as his Big Shield Gardna appeared behind Dark Magician. "Take your best shot, Kiwi Magician Girl!"
KIWI MAGICIAN GIRL'S TURN (Hand: 2, LP: 3000)
YAMI YUGI (Hand: 5, LP: 3200)
"Oh, I intend to, Pharaoh," she taunted, smiling wickedly as she drew her next card, "I activate Mystical Space Typhoon!" she declared, playing the card she had just drawn. The Magic Formula book was blown from Dark Magician's hand by a tempest before shattering to pieces!
"When Magic Formula is destroyed, I gain 1000 Life Points!" Yami revealed as his life points rose to 4200.
"That changes nothing!" Kiwi Magician Girl declared firmly, holding up her last card, "I activate the Spell Card, Change of Heart!"
"Oh no!" Yami exclaimed in dismay.
That card will let her take control of one of our monsters for one turn! Yugi realized, his dismay equaling his partner's.
"Blizzard Princess has higher attack then Big Shield Gardna's defense! If she controls Dark Magician, she'll be able to clear our field and heavily damage our Life Points with her Magician Girls!"
"I have no need of your Dark Magician," Kiwi Magician Girl revealed as the spirit of the Change of Heart appeared on the field and entered Dark Magician Girl! Without a word, Yami's Dark Magician Girl stood and jumped to Kiwi Magician Girl's field, her outfit magically changing as she did, "besides, your Big Shield Gardna is essential to my plan."
"What is that supposed to mean?" Yami demanded, clearly confused by Kiwi Magician Girl's play.
"Why don't I show you!" Kiwi Magician Girl threatened, "I need five effect monsters for my next move!"
"What? But you don't have five effect monsters in play!"
"You're right. With your Dark Magician Girl added to my field, I only have four," she admitted, clearly enjoying herself, "however, you also have one."
"No, don't tell me…" Yami cursed.
"I can use one of my opponent's effect monsters for my play. Only one, mind you, but with your Dark Magician Girl under my control now, one is all I need."
"What are you plotting!?"
"Be silent and bare witness!" Kiwi ordered as five arrows appeared between the two duelists. Blizzard Princess, Lemon, Chocolate, and Dark Magician Girl leapt forward, each standing on one of the arrows. As Yami watched powerlessly, Big Shield Gardna walked forward and stood on the final arrow! "I LINK SUMMON!" Kiwi Magician Girl roared as flames engulfed the five monsters, lighting up the arrows, "ARISE, UNDERWORLD GODDESS OF THE CLOSED WORLD!"
Yami and Dark Magician watched as a young woman with black hair began to emerge from a portal that appeared when the arrows vanished. To Yami's surprise, this woman was clad in a black and violet dress and a black shawl over her hair. Instead of the empty, green eyes of the other captive Duel Spirits, this woman looked at Yami with beautiful but sad, dark brown eyes.
"She isn't being controlled!" Yami realized.
"She is a very powerful spirit," Dark Magician revealed, "I doubt she would be so easily controlled, at least indirectly."
UNDERWORLD GODDESS OF THE CLOSED WORLD (Link: 5, Fiend/Link/Effect, Attack: 3000)
"What even is she?" Yami asked, "she has no defense point value!"
"Link Monsters don't need defense points. They can only be played in attack mode," Kiwi Magician Girl revealed, "and they're immune to any effect switching them to defense mode!"
"Link Monsters?" Yami repeated, "so Valeria has access to another summoning type I wasn't even aware existed!"
"And I'm not done!" Kiwi Magician Girl declared firmly, "REVEAL FACE DOWN! MONSTER REBORN!" she shouted revealing her Monster Reborn spell card, "RETURN TO ME, SKY STRIKER ACE: RAYE!"
"Why that card!?" Yami wondered as the bikini clad Raye returned to the field.
"So I can perform another Link Summon!" Kiwi Magician revealed as another arrow appeared on the field which Raye leapt onto.
"Another one!?" Yami exclaimed in shock and horror.
"Answer my call, SKY STRIKER ACE: KAGARI!" Kiwi Magician Girl ordered. Rather then be engulfed in flame as the other Link Materials had been, Raye held out her arms as light from the arrow engulfed her, forming into red colored power armor over her body as her eyes turned from green to black and the light seemed to return to them.
SKY STRIKER ACE KAGARI (Link: 1, Machine/Link/Effect, Attack: 1500)
"She's free!" Yami realized.
"It's true that these two monsters have proven resilient to my masters control, but they won't resist forever," Kiwi Magician Girl admitted as the two Link Monsters glared back at her, a mixture of disgust, anger, and sadness in their eyes. "Either way, it won't help you!"
She's right, Yugi lamented, this is still a duel. They may not be under Debauchery's control, but they still have to take Kiwi Magician Girl's orders!
"Oh, and one more thing. Kagari's effect now activates, granting her 100 extra attack points for each spell card in my graveyard.
KIWI MAGICIAN GIRL'S GRAVEYARD: Card of Sanctity, Mystical Space Typhoon, Monster Reborn
SKY STRIKER ACE: KAGARI: Attack: 1500 — 1800
"Now, let the end begin for you, Pharaoh!" Kiwi Magician Girl cackled, "Now, my goddess, DESTROY DARK MAGICIAN!"
Underworld Goddess of the Closed World had no power to resist her command, nor did Yami have any means to stop his trusted companion's destruction. As 500 of his Life Points fell away, Yami looked back in dismay at Kokoa, but to both their relief, nothing happened.
YAMI YUGI: LP: 3700
We gained Life Points! Yugi realized, Kokoa must be safe until our Life Points drop back below their lowest point!
"Which they'll do soon if we don't act!" Yami realized, "reveal Trap Card! ETERNAL SOUL!" Yami shouted, revealing his Trap Card.
"It won't work, Pharaoh," Yami was surprised as Underworld Goddess spoke to him, her youthful sounding voice full of despair, "you intend to use Eternal Soul to return Dark Magician from the graveyard to block the next attack, but with my ability, any card you try to use to summon from the graveyard will be negated. It cannot work."
"We're locked out of summoning from the graveyard!?" Yami repeated in disbelief.
"You realize now how hopeless your situation is?" Kiwi Magician Girl taunted, "ATTACK, KAGARI! STRIKE HIS LIFE POINTS DIRECTLY!" Yami couldn't prevent the attack as Sky Striker Ace: Kagari attacked him with her blade.
YAMI YUGI: LP: 1900
"I suppose that's enough suffering for one turn. I'll finish you on my next turn."
YAMI YUGI'S TURN (Hand: 6, LP: 1900)
KIWI MAGICIAN GIRL (Hand: 0, LP: 3000)
What do we do now!? Yugi wondered. Yami glanced back to Kokoa. The young vampire's composure was beginning to crack. Her arms were still raised just above the crystal encasement, but her body was encased, all the way up to just below her breasts. If she was saying anything, it couldn't be heard through her crystal prison, but the fear in her eyes pierced Yami to his core.
"We have to protect our life points to protect Kokoa," Yami admitted, playing a spell card, "if I can't summon from my graveyard, then my Eternal Soul is useless to me, so instead, I play Pot of Greed!" Yami declared, drawing two cards. He winced when he looked at the first card.
Slifer the Sky Dragon! If we could summon that, it could really turn the tide!
"But we have no way of summoning the tributes we'd need," Yami quietly cursed, looking at the second card. A slight smile crossed his lips as he took ahold of the card.
"I've drawn Wattapon!" Yami declared, summoning a spall pink puffball in defense mode, "allowing me to Special Summon it to my field. "Next, I summon Magician's Valkyria in defense mode!" he declared, summoning his sorceress in defense mode as well.
WATAPON (Level: 1, Fairy/Effect, Attack: 200, Defense: 300)
MAGICIAN'S VALKYRIA (Level: 4, Spellcaster/Effect, Attack: 1600, Defense: 1800)
"That's it? I'm disappointed, Pharaoh. I didn't expect you to go out with such a whimper!" Kiwi Magician Girl taunted her foe.
KIWI MAGICIAN GIRL'S TURN (Hand: 1, LP: 3000)
YAMI YUGI (Hand: 6, LP: 1900)
"Clearing your field would be a simple task," she admitted as an arrow appeared under Sky Striker Ace: Kagari, "but I have a better idea."
"Another Link Summon!?" Yami cursed.
"That's right, Pharaoh!" Kiwi Magician Girl replied as Raye's power armor vanished. The Sky Striker Ace seemed to blush as she was left momentarily in the bikini she had worn before. Fortunately, her new armor quickly began to form over her body. "I LINK SUMMON SKY STRIKER ACE: HAYATE!"
SKY STRIKER ACE: HAYATE (Link: 1, Machine/Link/Effect, Attack: 1500)
"Why switch out your monster for one with fewer attack points!?" Yami wondered, dreading the answer.
"Because Hayate's effect makes it a worthwhile trade off!" Kiwi Magician Girl admitted as Hayate lined up her sniper rifle, "HAYATE, ATTACK!"
Hayate fired a green energy beam from her rifle at Yami's creature, but instead of striking either of them, the blast passed right between them. Yami was powerless to stop the attack from slamming into his chest, knocking him flat onto his back!
"And we near the end," Kiwi Magician Girl taunted as Yami's Life Points plummeted.
YAMI YUGI: LP: 400
Yami rose slowly back to his knees, glancing fearfully back to Kokoa. Like a trickling liquid, the light indicating how much of Kokoa was about to be encased in crystal slowly crawled up her, overtaking Kokoa's breasts, shoulders, and arms, and it wasn't finished filling as it began crawling up Kokoa's neck and chin.
"STOP!" Yami ordered, "THIS ISN'T OVER YET!"
"It will be soon enough. I'd say it's merciful, sparing the girl the pain of watching you fail her," spurned Kiwi Magician Girl. By now, only Kokoa's frightened eyes were visible over the light as Yami tried to regain his feet.
The sound of shattering crystal shook everyone in the room.
The light dissipated, leaving Kokoa only encased up to the same level she had been as the still hollow crystal near the top had shattered completely, dissipating the magic and freeing Kokoa's head and upper body!
"What the hell!?" Kokoa screamed, her voice finally audible with her crystal prison shattered.
"Sorry to keep you waiting," Sanji declared, landing behind Kokoa, the leg he had used to shatter the prison slowly lowering back to the ground as he stood and relit his cigarette, "I was a bit dazed after someone hit me in the head earlier."
"You jerk! You were just waiting until the last second!" Kokoa shouted angrily, "don't just stand there! Get the rest of me out!"
"If I could, I would," Sanji admitted, "but I can't shatter that solid crystal. Only way you're getting out of that is if Yugi beats our brainwashed Magician Girl here."
"Hmph, don't get comfortable. Yugi will be finished on my next turn, and then I'll finish the little Vampire's crystal prison. As for you, Sanji, I'll leave what I'm going to do to you to your imagination."
"Ominous," Sanji replied, "it's almost a shame I'm not going to find out what you mean by that, but hey, after that Dark Saiyan bastard's control over you breaks, I'll make sure to whip up a great celebration dinner."
"Hmph, you're as delusional as you are pathetic," Kiwi Magician Girl snorted in response.
"She's not wrong," Kokoa growled quietly.
"Fine. I guess we'll see soon enough how wrong you are. Before I end my turn, however, GODDESS OF THE CLOSED WORLD, DESTROY HIS MAGICIAN!" Kiwi roared out her order. Her Goddess complied, utterly obliterating Magician's Valkyria!
That was close. Sanji saved Kokoa, but now, how do we save Kiwi Magician Girl? Yugi wondered, if we could summon Slifer, we could turn this around, but how do we do that?
"We can't," Yami admitted, "with the Underworld Goddess locking us out of our graveyard, we don't have any card in our deck that would allow us to summon the needed tributes first. Our Egyptian Gods can't help us this time."
Then how do we win!?
"Draw your last card, Pharaoh! Your fate is already sealed!" Kiwi Magician Girl demanded.
"It isn't over until the last card is played, Kiwi Magician Girl," Yami replied, taking ahold of the top card of his deck, "and a duel spirit like you should know well that only the Heart of the Cards can determine my fate. I DRAW!"
YAMI YUGI'S TURN (Hand: 7, LP: 400)
KIWI MAGICIAN GIRL (Hand: 1, LP: 3000)
Yami gave a side-eyed glance at his new card and added it to his hand, grabbing another card from said hand.
"I summon the Mystical Elf!" he revealed, summoning the gentle, blue skinned elf to his field.
MYSTICAL ELF (Level: 4, Spellcaster, Attack: 800, Defense: 2000
"Hah, that's your last play!?" Kiwi mocked, "so much for the Heart of the Cards!"
"On the contrary, the Heart of the Cards have given me exactly what I need to win this duel," Yami revealed, shocking his foe as he took the card he'd just drawn and showed it, "the spell card, Magicalized Fusion!"
Dark Magician Girl, Apprentice Illusion Magician, Magician's Valkyria, and Magician's Soul all reappeared on the field around Mystical Elf when Yami played his card.
"Magicalized Fusion allows me to banish monsters from both my field and my graveyard to Fusion Summon a Spellcaster from my Extra Deck!"
"A Fusion Summon!? You think that will help you against my Link Summons!?"
"Your Link Summons are powerful," Yami acknowledged, "but a monsters power is not dictated by its Summoning type, and I'll prove it now!" A Magic Circle encompassed Yami's five Spellcasters and a pillar of light engulfed them! "COME FORTH, QUINTET MAGICIAN!"
The light faded and a Magician floated in the air above the magic circle, slowly descending to face his foes.
QUINTET MAGICIAN (Level: 12, Spellcaster/Fusion/Effect, Attack: 4500, Defense: 4500)
"What… is that!?" Kiwi Magician Girl stuttered in disbelief, "it's power is… incredible!"
"And it only grows more with Quintet Magician's effect! Since I used five different Spellcasters to Fusion Summon it, all cards on my opponent's field are now destroyed!"
"What!?" Kiwi Magician cried as her Sky Striker and her Pendulum monsters all exploded! "Grr, good try, Yugi, but my Goddess has another ability of her own. She can't be destroyed by any effect that does not specifically target her!"
"But can she survive battle with my Magician!?" Yami questioned as Quintet Magician put that question to the test. She could not.
KIWI MAGICIAN GIRL: LP: 1500
"That's not enough to defeat me!?" Kiwi Magician Girl declared confidently.
"No, it wasn't, but it did clear your Goddess from the field, meaning her effect is no longer stopping my Eternal Soul!"
"No… you can't…" Kiwi Magician Girl stuttered.
"I can and I am!" Yami declared firmly, "I summon from my graveyard, DARK MAGICIAN!"
A magic circle appeared beside Quintet Magician and Yami's faithful Dark Magician emerged, facing the terrified Magician Girl.
"Well, I'd hate to say I told you so, but…" Sanji admitted.
"DARK MAGICIAN!" was the only command Yami had to give.
