Chapter 14: Missile Wrists Day Out

Dr. Eggman's fortress is seen in the middle of an island where waves crash against it. Eggman is at his main room looking at Station Square via the screen in front of him. He grins evilly. "Conquering this puny planet will be a picnic! As an appetizer, I'll finish off this city! Maybe even crush some heroes in the process!" Decoe, one of Eggman's robots, passes a pack of cards to Dr. Eggman. "Which robot will you use, doctor?" He asks, curious. "Hm, let's see. They all look so lethal... mm, I can't choose." Eggman laughs as he pushes all the cards into a selection machine, pulling a lever spinning it like a slots game. "And who said gambling was a bad thing!" Eggman jokes as the machine comes to a stop. "Ah, Missile Wrist! Perfect!"

Station Square

In Station Square, a bunch of small kids are seen playing basketball in a playground. Down below, however, in the sewers, Knuckles and Amy are seen walking. "This whole thing is Sonic's fault!" Knuckles states, obviously very angry. "All Sonic did was try and stop Eggman. He didn't mean for us to get sent here. I think?!" Amy stated back, trying to figure out if she should defend Sonic or not. "Even if Dr. Eggman is the one to blame, Sonic shouldn't have pushed the whack job so far!" Knuckles argues back.

"At least he's not afraid to fight back! I'm not going any further if you talk trash about Sonic!" Amy states, inner fangirl showing through. "I don't have time for this. See ya!" Knuckle says. '5, 4, 3, 2…' "This is gonna be impossible! Hey, c'mon Knuckles! Don't be mad! Wait up!" Amy screams chasing back after him.

The scene then changes to a crowded beach not too far away from Station Square. We see a small girl with rabbit features, running across the sand, a strange creature following close behind. "Come on Cheese! Momma said we can go get Ice cream!" She says to the creature, Cheese as its now called, as they run towards the ice cream van. Suddenly, from out of the water, a huge, towering robot appears, making the rabbit girl and Cheese cower in fear. Just then, a woman, looking very similar to the rabbit girl, jumps in front of her and Cheese. "Cream! Run! Run now, and don't look back!" She shouts, as Cream and Cheese (Now I want a Cracker) run for there lives, making it up to the road. Turning back, Cream cries, as she watches her mother get crushed by the robot. "MAMA!" She shouts, as she gets dragged away by a bunch of people.

"There's nothing more fun than making waves at the beach! Well, now that we've established a beachhead here, let's set our sights at the city! I want to play some Jenga!" Eggman announces, hovering in his Eggmobile, next to the robot.

Thorndyke Mansion

"I like to keep the Tornado nice and clean." Tails states, as he cleans the plane, Longclaw watching in the background. "Tails, I'd love to study this plane's mechanics someday." Longclaw states, catching Tails by surprise. "You're an inventor?" Tails asks, shock in his voice. Longclaw laughs. "Well, I had to do something while Izuku was off running around all day, didn't I." She states, Tails agreeing.

Suddenly, the annoyance… I mean Chris appears, dragging Jiro behind him. (I'm so sorry Jiro) "Hay, can you stop!" Jiro says, an annoyed look plastered on her face. "Sorry! Anyway, mom do you know where Sonic is?" Chris asks, sounding bored. "He left this morning. He was going somewhere to explore... downtown I think." Longclaw replies. "If the police spot Sonic, they'll try to catch him!" Tails states. Jiro just laughs. "Catch Izuku? I don't think so. If Robotnik couldn't, no one can." Jiro says smirking.

Tails looks up at her. "You, Sonic and this Robotnik guy must go way back huh, it sounds like you really hate the guy!" Tails says, the others thinking the same. "Robotnik… is Eggman. Their the same person. The first time I met him, he tried to kill me and Izuku with a drone!" Everyone but Longclaw and Jiro gasp! Longclaw just growls. "Remind me to give this Eggman a piece of my mind when we see him next." She says to Jiro. She just nods back.

"Is no one else worried about Sonic?" Chris asks. "Look kid, careful is not Izuku's style. But he is not stupid, he does not need to be watched 24/7." Jiro states, everyone but Chris agreeing with her.

Station Square

Meanwhile, Eggman and Missile Wrist have entered Station Square and are confronted by S.S.P.D. at a roadblock. "Hold it there! Take one more step and we'll open fire!" Says an officer, gun aimed at the robot. Missile Wrist continues to advance. "FIRE!" The officer shouts. All the Officers fire there weapons, only for the bullets to have no effect on the robot. Eggman is not amused by the resistance. "There's a word for this: boring!" Eggman states. Eggman floats down in his Eggmobile to gloat at the S.S.P.D. and their ineffective attempts to stop him. "You cannot win! I can clobber you klutzes at will! Now move over or get run over!" Eggman demands, the police force complying. "I can't stand quitters! Give them what they deserve!" Eggman states. Missile wrist complies and fires a bunch of missiles at the police, blowing them up!

Meanwhile, Tails and Jiro are out in the Tornado 2, flying around for fun. "So, you build this plane yourself." Blaze asks amazed. "Yeah, its my baby! Isn't she beautiful!" Tail says, clearly in love with his plane. "We really need to get you a girlfriend!" Jiro shouts as they dive towards the city. "You mean like you and Sonic!" Tails shouts back, causing Jiro to go red. "What?!"

Meanwhile…

Sonic runs along the edge of a mountain side and proceeds to jump off a cliff yelling in happiness as he does so. "I'm about to, Kermit suicide!" Sonic yells as he falls into the ravine.

Meanwhile, again…

Back in the Station Square sewers, Amy and Knuckles are still walking, but Amy is getting tired. "Knuckles, can't we take a break?" Amy says, almost out of breath. "You take one if you want, fat ass, but I'm not stopping." Knuckles states, continuing to move. Amy throws her hammer at the back of his head. "What the hell was that for!" He states, only to see an enraged Amy charging towards him, making him basically shit himself. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I take it back, please don't hurt me!" Knuckles cries out as Amy stops. "Good." Is all she says as she continues forward. "So, what do you think our chances are of getting back home, Knuckles?" She asks, continuing to walk, Knuckles close behind. "I don't know, but we will find a way. Somehow, we will! No matter what it takes, I have to get back. It's my mission to guard the Master Emerald. Nothing's gonna stop me from doing my job! You can count on it! Until I do find a way back, I am not going to rest or get side-tracked." Suddenly the ground shakes. "Huh? What's that?" Knuckles says, climbing up a ladder, opening a sewer hatch, only to see destruction in front of him.

Citizens scream and run for cover as Missile Wrist smashes through some buildings. Eventually coming to a stop at the bottom of a very tall one. "Go to the roof, we can do more damage from up there!" Eggman then heads for the roof in his Eggmobile. S.S.P.D. cruisers flood the intersection below, lights blazing and sirens wailing as Missile wrist launches his grapple hook arm through the floors until it reaches the roof and anchors there. It then makes its way to join Eggman on the roof. The S.S.P.D. Chief of Police can only watch in disbelief and shock at what he's seeing.

"It appears we're attracting a crowd!" Eggman cackles. "Let's get this show on the air!" He deploys a camera from the Eggmobile's dashboard, which then creates a large holographic screen with Eggman's picture on it as he speaks. "Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Dr. Ivo Robotnik or Eggman as I prefer, and I have some exciting news for you, exciting for me, that is and catastrophic for you! I have decided to take over your world and make it part of the new Eggman Empire! Resistance is futile. You will submit to my rule or be swept away like dust bodies!"

"So Eggman is here!" Tails says to Jiro, both watching from the plane above.

"Turn yourself in now, bub, or we'll haul you in." The Chief of police states down his megaphone. "You must be joking!" Eggman states, a look of shock on his face. "We're not playing around here, buddy! Pull over and let's see your license and registration!" Eggman just stares. "What the hell is wrong with this world?!" Eggman questions to himself. "I am the one giving the orders here!" The police just look at him. "Grr... oh yeah, what makes ya think so?!" "This makes me think so!" Eggman says, snapping his fingers as Missile Wrist fires a missile wrist down towards the amassed police and destroys a nearby S.S.P.D. cruiser. "Now will you surrender your city?" Eggman looks down to see all the police dead on the floor. "Huh, I think you put a bit too much power into that one Missile Wrist." He comments.

As Tails and Jiro watch from above, Tails decides he is done with watching. "Blaze, hang on tight!" She just nods, holding on for dear life. The plane dive bombs towards the robot, weapons powering up, ready to fire. "Missile Wrist, destroy this place before—" "Eggman!" Tails shouts, firing the Tornado's weapons straight at the robot. "Uggh! It's Tails! I'll teach that flying furball! And then, turn him into a rug! Attention, Missile Wrist, take aim at that plane. Blast it out of the sky!" Eggman commands, as the robot takes aim with its missiles, firing at the Tornado, trying to take it out of the sky. Before any missiles can hit though, they are all blown up by fire balls. "What's up, Professor Fruit Loop!" Jiro shouts, standing on the wing of the plane.

Eggman looks pissed. "YOU! Missile Wrist, new objective, kill the girl!" Eggman demands. "Acknowledged." The robot replies, firing one of its wrists at the Tornado 2, sending it falling out the sky. "Uaaah! This is what I call an emergency!" Tails shouts, pressing a button in the cockpit, transforming the plane into jet mode. Jiro, who was knocked off the Tornado with the hit, lands on the roof the robot is standing on, staring Eggman down.

On the ground, Amy and Knuckles spot the dogfight between the Tornado 2 and Missile Wrist. "Tails and that girl are in trouble! We've gotta find a way to help them!" Amy shouts. "I've got more important things to do." Knuckles replies, turning away. "Fine, who needs you?!" Amy says, running off into the building. "Don't go in there! She's only going to get herself hurt! Amy! Amy!" Knuckles shouts, running after her.

Elsewhere in Station Square, Sonic races past, but comes back when he notices a crowd gathered around an electronics store display. Investigating, he sees the TVs showing the fight between the Tornado 2 and Missile Wrist. "What's going on up there? That's a robot on the roof! This could be an interplanetary invasion!" Shouts someone in the crowd. Suddenly Eggman appears on the screen laughing. "Robotnik! So that asshole got sent here too! Time for me to join the party!" Izuku says, launching off into the distance.

Back at the battle, Knuckles has made it to the roof, but is uncertain of his next move. "Alright, I need a strategy." Suddenly, Amy arrives via the elevator. "What took ya so long? Ugh!" Knuckles says, just moving out the way in time as Amy pulls out the Piko Piko Hammer! "Hiyaaah! Leave Tails alone, you tin bully!" Amy shouts charging at the robot, only for the hammer to bounce off it. She gets picked up by Missile Wrist and screams. "Great, now there's a girl in danger to." Jiro comments, dodging all the missiles that her sent her way. "Wait! You're the girl Eggman captured." Knuckles states catching Jiro's attention. "Names Blaze, you?" She says, continuing to dodge. "Knuckles, now if we work together, we can take this thing down!" Knuckles states, Jiro nods in agreement. Then, they charge, only to stop just before attacking. "Hold it, heroes! One more step and the girl's a goner!" Eggman snaps his fingers as Missile Wrist tightens its grip on Amy. "Leave Amy alone, or you'll be sorry!" Knuckles shouts. "Sorry?! I'm already sorry that you and your friends have survived; by consolation is that it seems Izuku didn't. Or did he? Perhaps this is all a trap!" Eggman states looking around.

"It's okay, help is on the way!" Tails shouts, pointing the Tornado towards the ground, diving towards Sonic. "Get him, Sonic! Huh-hah!" Tails shouts, throwing Sonic the red Chaos Emerald. "Thanks!" Sonic shouts, drawing energy from the emerald, going supercharged. "All right egghead! I've had enough!" Sonic shouts, launching off the ground at super sonic speed. "There he is! Get ready to fire!" Eggman commands, as Missile Wrist tosses Amy away. "Hurry, fire! Fire away!" Eggman shouts, Missile Wrist fires his missile wrists at Sonic only for the boy to bust through them, leaving the robot armless. Sonic zooms past Eggman launching straight into the sky. "Fire!" Eggman demands. Missile Wrist sends out a volley of missiles from its chest launchers. They hit Sonic dead-on. "Hah-hah!" Sonic emerges from the smoke, more lightning than ever sparking from him. Sonic smirks as he delivers a final punch to Missile Wrist blowing the robot to pieces in a cloud of smoke. (Think Izuku's final blow to overhaul in cannon, it looked like that!)

"Alright, Sonic!" Tails shouts, the others cheering along with him. Dr. Eggman coughs. The smoke clears to show him now being the one charred and burnt. "You lose, Eggy!" Sonic says, smirking as usual, the lightning around him fading. "This isn't over, Blue Boy! You haven't heard the last of Eggman. Soon I'll rule this world, this universe and the Chaos Emeralds will be mine!" Eggman shouts, flying away. Izuku and the others just laugh.

The celebrations are cut short when S.S.P.D. SWAT and G.U.N. soldiers arrive to confront the heroes. "Alright, nobody move!" One of the G.U.N soldiers shouts. "Woah, hay! Take it easy! We just saved everybody's asses." Sonic shouts, trying to defuse the situation. "You are using your quirks without a licence, that is good enough reason to arrest you!" The soldier says back. Izuku and Jiro just groan. The others look confused. "Don't try running away!" The soldier demands. "Everybody, grab a hold of me and don't let go, got it!" Jiro and Amy look confused, but Knuckles just smirks. "Listen to him!" Knuckles says to them, doing as Sonic instructed. Jiro and Amy do the same. "So, Longclaw taught me a new trick, wanna see?" Sonic says to everyone present. "Take them down." The soldier shouts, just before Sonic shouts, holding the emerald up high, "CHAOS CONTROL!" As Sonic and his friends disappear.

Thorndyke Mansion

Longclaw is sitting on a bench in the back garden of the Mansion, just as Sonic and his friends appear out of fin air. "Huh, you actually listened when I taught you something, what a surprise!" She said, smiling at Izuku. "Wait, if you can do that, why not just go home now!" Jiro states, looking confused. "Because he needs all 7 Chaos Emeralds to travel across dimensions." Knuckles states, staring at Longclaw in shock. Longclaw turns to him. "Knuckles, I don't blame you for your people's wrong doings." Longclaw says, smiling at him. Knuckles lets out a sigh in relief. Just then Tails lands the Tornado 2. "You guys beat me back here, how!" Tails shouts as Izuku laughs.

And that's Chapter 14. It's done in a bit of a different style to the others, but I think it makes it easier to follow the story this way. Anyway, as of writing this the Fic has just hit 1800 views, more than I ever expected to get in a year, let alone 4 days!
