Chapter 15: Chaos Emerald Chaos!
Station Square
Longclaw and Chris are seen walking throughout the city streets, shopping. "Mom, can we get Ice cream after this! Please!" The child wines. "Maybe, it depends on how long it takes us to—" Suddenly, Longclaw is cut off by the sound of a child crying. Turning round a corner, Chris and Longclaw come face to face with a small girl with rabbit features, a strange creature floating next to her, one Longclaw recognises quickly. 'A Chao, what is one of them doing here?' Longclaw bends down to reach the girl's level. "Hay, are you ok? Why are you crying, little one?" She asks concern in her voice. The girl looks up, seeing Longclaw, and speaks. "My—My mother was killed by the robot, when it attacked!" She cries out, making Longclaw feel really bad for her. Longclaw picks her up. "Hay, why don't we get you somewhere safe, and then we figure out what to do, ok?" She says, as the girl nods. "What's your name?" Longclaw asks. "I'm—I'm Cream and that's Cheese." She states, pointing to the Chao.
Time Skip 1 day later
Thorndyke Mansion
"So, this "Chaos Control" created a warp in time and space, and that's how we ended up here. Hmmm, I think I understand that much, but I still don't understand these "Chaos Emeralds" you guys are talking about 100%." Jiro states, still looking confused by the concept. "You've never heard of the Chaos Emeralds? Boy, you really do have a lot to learn, don't ya!" Tails states, making Jiro just growl. "Each Chaos Emerald is filled with a magical power. So, you could imagine what would happen if you found all seven of 'em." Amy says, trying to explain it a bit more nicely, much to the joy of Kyoka. "But no-one but Eggman has ever found all seven emeralds and now it's highly improbable that anyone ever will find them." She finishes.
"Why is that?" Cream asks, sitting in the corner. After she was brought back by Longclaw, Izuku and Jiro refused to let her go to an orphanage. So, Longclaw ended up adopting her. "Well, you see, Cream, every one of the precious Chaos Emeralds, except the one Sonic has, disappeared!" States Knuckles, sitting on a bean back, reading a book.
"That doesn't mean they're gone for good! Anytime the seven Chaos Emeralds come together in one place, they scatter and disappear all over again!" Longclaw states, entering the room. "Then that means they're still out there someplace." Jiro states, looking determined. "Only we don't have any way of knowing where. If they're on this planet, that's good, but if they're still on the planet we came from, we may never get home." Tails says, ruining the mood. "Listen, if the emeralds ARE somewhere on this planet, and if we can find some way to locate them all, maybe we'll be able to reverse that time warp. We will be back to our home planet before you know it!" Knuckles states, confident as ever.
Construction site, Station Square
The scene shifts to a construction yard, revealing the green Chaos Emerald partially buried in the dirt. Just then, an excavator hits the green Chaos Emerald. "Hey! What's happening?! Help! Somebody help me! I'm losing control!" A worker shouts, as the excavator moves uncontrollably around the construction worksite. After a minute, it just stops. "Hey, are you all right?!" Another worker asks. "I... don't know. All of a sudden, the thing has a mind of its own." He says back, only now noticing the green, glowing gem.
President's Office, Washington, D.C.
"And, where are they?" The President, Michael R., asks impatiently. "It seems the hedgehog boy and his friends are staying with a family in Station Square, and our agents have traced Eggman to an island somewhere in the Western Pacific, close to Japan, sir." One of the agents' states. "Well, get going! I want them captured!" Michael demands, only to be interrupted by the Director of Central Intelligence. "With all due respect sir, it might be best to keep them under surveillance so we can observe their behaviour." "Grr, that's all well and good, but you'd better pay special attention to that dangerous Eggman character!" The President states, not liking it one bit. "We've already sent out a reconnaissance team, Mr. President. We'll be sure to report back any suspicious activities. As for the boy, we've had our operatives watching them too, sir. If there's any unusual activity, we'll know about it." The agent from before states.
Thorndyke Mansion
"An unusual gemstone was discovered today at a department store construction site. Eyewitnesses at the site report that construction machinery seemed to malfunction whenever it came within close contact of this strange jewel. The stone does appear to be radiating an invisible, highly charged energy. Now, some of you watching at home, may be experiencing some static. This is a direct result of the gem's magnetic power. This is an artist's rendering." Cream and Cheese jump up during the report only to dash off to find Sonic at the sight of the Emerald's picture. "We've gotta tell Sonic! Hurry!" She shouts, running out of the room.
"Mr Sonic, you won't believe it. They've found one! They've found one!" Creams shouts, scaring Sonic from his nap. "What's up?" He asks, yawning. "They've found one! A Chaos Emerald!" Sonic darts out of the room.
Eggman Island
"Well, what do you know?! A Chaos Emerald right under my nose!" Eggman states, watching the news report. "Doctor, Your cards." Decoe says, passing Eggman his cards. "Hmm, let's see. Ah, which one? Hmm, I can't choose." Doctor Eggman places the pack of cards into the Selection Machine and pulls the handle down. "Beacon! Ah HA HA! Perfect!" Beacon prepares to take off into the skies while Dr. Eggman flies' side-by-side with it on his Eggmobile.
"Enemy aircraft spotted!" States one of the members of the recon unit, stationed on Eggman's Island. "Roger." Another responds. "Once I get my hands on that Chaos Emerald, I'll create an even more powerful robot, and getting rid of that pesky blue hedgehog boy will be a breeze!" Eggman laughs flying off, only to feel like he is being watched. "Hmm? Well, I do believe that someone is following me. This could be fun! What do you say, Beacon? Let's sink the vinks!" he states to Beacon, causing the robot to intercept the missiles, destroying them. "How do you like them apples? You foolish flyboys thought you could pull one over on the good doctor, didn't you?! Well, I guess the bad doctor proved you wrong!" He laughs, flying towards Station Square.
Thorndyke Mansion
"Be careful! Don't get hurt, Tails! Or you Blaze!" Cream shouts, watching the Tornado 2 take-off, Tails flying and Jiro on the wing. "I hope Izuku knows where he's going. If he gets lost, we won't know where to look for him." Jiro states, looking off into the distance, as they fly higher into the sky.
Station Square
In the streets of Station Square, Sonic jumps from one building to another before running down on to the streets below. "The place is around here somewhere. Bet I can see it easier with a bird's eye-view! I'll just chill out here and wait for Tails and Kyoka!" Izuku states, sitting on a bench.
Time Skip 5 mins later
"It's about time! You'd think they can fly that thing a little faster." Sonic shouts, chasing after the Tornado. "Sorry, we stopped for Ice cream on the way!" Tails shouts back. "Hey, Izu, it's over there!" Jiro states, pointing off into the distance. "Chaos Emerald, here I come!" Sonic shouts, launching off, leaving a sonic boom in his wake.
Construction site, Station Square
The crowd gasps as Doctor Eggman flies closer. Meanwhile Sonic dashes towards the emerald's direction, as the crowd turns to flee. "What's going on here?!" Sonic shouts, looking up to see Eggman and his machine heading straight for the emerald. "So, Dr. Yoke brain thinks he can nab that Chaos Emerald before me!" Sonic states, taking off at Mach speed.
"Heh, we're closing in!" Eggman says, suddenly hearing a massive boom! "It's that blasted rodent! Change of plans, we'll come back for our little treasure later on. First, we'll get rid of that meddling Sonic!" He says, directing Beacon to attack Izuku. Beacon starts repeatedly ramming into Sonic while Dr. Eggman laughs in amusement.
As Tails and Blaze watch in the air, Jiro gets an idea. "Tails! Dive straight at that thing!" Tails looks at her confused. "Trust me!" She says, Tails just nodding. As the Tornado dives straight towards the robot, Kyoka jumps off, igniting her fists with burning red flames, striking it straight in the neck, cutting the head off.
Eggman just looks on in shock. "Nice one, Kyoka!" Sonic shouts, taking off after the emerald again, Eggman following close behind. Jiro just blows her fist, like she's blowing out a candle.
As Eggman and Sonic race towards the emerald, Eggman fires a blast from his Eggmobile straight into the ground below Izuku. "Ha!" He states coming to a stop just in front of the emerald. Getting out his Eggmobile, Eggman goes to grab the emerald, but it gets snatched. "UGGH! GIVE THAT BACK TO ME!"
"I can't believe it. I found the Chaos Emerald!" States Chris. Just then, Eggman pokes him and slaps Chris' palm, snatching the Emerald in the process. "Hey, that's mine!" Chris wines. "Sorry. Not anymore. Besides, my dear boy, you'd hardly know what to do with such a thing!" Eggman replies. "I found it first!" "Buzz off, kid!" "But it's mine!" Chris shouts, jumping and grabbing onto Eggman's mustache. "Let go of me, you pipsqueak! You grubby, little beast, let go of my moustache!" Dr. Eggman and Chris fight before the doctor proceeds to take off into the skies in his Eggmobile.
"Uh, my head hurts!" Sonic says, getting up off the floor, only to see Chris dangling from the side of Eggman's Eggmobile. "Oh for! Come on!" Sonic says, taking off towards the screaming child.
Dr. Eggman looks at the Chaos Emerald in his hand and laughs while Chris tries to climb aboard the Egg Mobile. Eggman notices and tries to tilt the vehicle to throw him off, but Chris hangs on. Another attempt results in Chris grabbing onto the emerald, taking out of Eggman's hands, before falling from the Eggmobile. "Ahhhhh!" He screams, plummeting towards the ground. Just then, Tails swoops in, grabbing him with the Tornado 2. "That caterwauling brat certainly was a handful! ARRGH! My emerald! Fine you win this time Sonic—" Eggman states, only to be cut off. "You mean like always." Izuku states, just staring at Eggman. "But next time, I will have the last laugh!" He shouts, flying away.
Thorndyke Mansion
Time skip 20 mins later
"That was stupid, irresponsible and you could have died! What were you thinking!" Izuku shouts, staring down at Chris, who is sitting on a chair in the main room of the Mansion. Chris just looks down. "I don't care if you got the emerald or not! I don't want to see you, anywhere! Near a battle area again, got it!" Sonic all but demands, scaring everyone present. "Yes sir, I'm sorry." Chris says tears in his eyes. Sonic sighs. "Look, I know you are just trying to help, but leave it to the people who know what they are doing ok?" Izuku says, trying to cheer Chris up a bit. "Ok, I will." He says, starting to wipe his eyes. "Off you go then." Izuku states, as Chris walks out of the room.
"You know, you would make a good father one day." Jiro states, smiling in the background. "W—What!" Izuku stutters out, making Kyoka laugh. "Get a room already!" Tails can be heard shouting in the background, causing Jiro and Izuku to blush. Just then, Cream comes running into the room, a look of excitement on her face. "Can we go?!" She shouts, getting everyone's attention. "Go where exactly?" Jiro asks. "Here!" Cream shouts, pointing to the tablet screen. "The UA Cultural Festival?" Jiro asks in surprise. "Why do you want to go there?" "Because it looks so cool! Please can we go?!" Cream asks giving her best puppy dog eyes. Jiro looks at Izuku, he just shrugs. "As long as we are careful, I don't see why not." Jiro sighs. "Fine." "Yay!" Cream screams hugging both Izuku and Jiro at the same time. They both just smile.
So, didn't expect that, did ya! Yes the next chapter will show some of the more MHA part of the story, something I have not done much of since I started the Sonic X part of the story. So, stay tuned for more, as Team Sonic travel to UA, and maybe, we may be able to recreate the spiderman meme where all the spidermen are pointing at each other, but with Jiro and Izuku.
