Chapter 4 ((officially))

"Oi dead last drop the henge and get your filthy hand off Hinata-chan!"

Looking up towards Kiba as he practically yells at him Naruto face goes from a sincere smile to an annoyed bored gaze, purposefully ignoring the dog nin he turns his gaze towards Shino his expression lightening up a bit and gaining a look of recognition.

"Ah Shino-san good to see you again also glad to see ya made it"

"Oi don't ignore me!"

Shino acknowledges him with a nod and continues the conversation in kind instead of opting to entertain Kiba. "Hai and it seems you're back you your 'normal' self it seems?"

Giving a grin Naruto shrugs and scratches behind his back as his other arms still wrapped around a crimson blushing Hinata*

"Yea you can say that again oh also apologies for calling your bugs weird when I wasn't…myself."

Shino just waves him off* "All's forgiven but could you release Hinata-san before she passes out?"

Looking down he notice a beaming red faced Hinata, eyes slightly glazed over from being in her own personal nirvana from being so close to Naruto and feeling his developed muscles underneath his ragged clothing, giving a chuckle he slowly releases her and she comes to lowly whining from the loss of contact but steadies herself.* "Sorry about that Hinata-chan got a bit carried away" Naruto says giving her a sheepish grin, blushing Hinata looks away but speaks in a low tone enough for him to hear. "I-I didn't mind at all.." she says looking back at him both her pointer fingers pressed to each other as she looks down at them finding them fascinating, Shino then begins to ask Naruto. "So what exactly ha-?",just before he could finish Naruto's stomach let out a loud growl, blushing a bit and laughing Naruto scratches behind his head again.

"Sorry Shino-san but is it alright I answer your questions after I get some food or at least after the exams?" Relenting Shino nods "Very well I'll hold you to that Uzumaki-san"

Grinning Naruto bids him and a still blushing Hinata fair well before departing leaving a steaming pissed off Kiba,Shino narrows his eyes a moment before turning and leading the direction Kurenai-sensei instructed them.

Time Skip

After stuffing his face and leaving astonished and disgusted looks by the amounts of food Naruto returned to his designated team rooms being met with questions and insults via his teammates Sasuke and Sakura, ignoring the both of them as well as dodging a punch from Sakura he goes to his bed and resumes meditation training making both Sakura and Sasuke to storm out leaving Naruto to meditate until the beginning of the next part of exams.

The Preliminary Arena

Standing amongst his peers Naruto stands arms folded with his eyes closed ignoring the gazes from the peers and other ninja alike, except for some that held curiosity one of adoration (Hinata) and two underneath cloaks that glare, up above a platform the third hokage scans the genin until they land on Naruto his eyes slightly widen and if one were to look close they would see a small bead of sweat drop down the side of his face, once everyone has enter he begins his usual speech and explanation, of them having too many participants so announcing a preliminary before the finals, leaving many to bow out instead of a few, The third leaves the rest to the proctor and Naruto tunes him out until he gets around to explaining the match ups.

Naruto as well as every other genin make their way to the platform as instructed and to wait for their names to be called, Naruto walks with his teammates only stopping near Team 8, Naruto places himself beside Hinata and gives her a smile before folding his arms and leaning against a wall leaving a blushing Hinata, a glaring Kiba and Sakura,Kurenai and Kakashi with a questioning gaze at not only their interaction but his new appearance, just as the preliminaries begun Naruto looked on at the screen seeing the first match being Sasuke and a sound ninja, Sasuke makes his way down to the bottom and in which Kakashi chose to begin to question Naruto.

"So….what's with the look?" Not even glancing at him Naruto responds "Let's just say I remember just who I am Hatake-san"

Hearing Naruto talk to him formally instead of by sensei Kakashi gives him a side glance before pulling out a orange book, in which Kurenai gave a glare, and seemingly buried his nose in it. "Well then I take it you'll be speaking with Lord third and I when this is over?" Naruto says nothing as he watches Sasuke's bout. After using a finishing move mostly taken from Lee Sasuke finishes the sound ninja with a heel to the spine, smirking Naruto gives a look of recognition. "Not too original….but not bad at all nice finish." Sakura glares at Naruto "What do you mean unoriginal Sasuke-kun kicked that sound ninjas ass flawlessly!!"

She said screeching at him ignoring her he replies. "Just because he won doesn't change what I said he used a technique from Lee when he handed him and me,although sealed, our collective asses so my statement remains the same." He says gaining a look of surprise from those who knew the 'him' before as being a idiot and a dead last and not now as he's returned, ignoring the next 3 fights as they went,Shino won his against the sound ninja from the forest via having his bugs stuffed the tubes in his arms and blowing holes in them,Kankuro winning with using his puppet to capture his opponent,a leaf ninja, in it body and the limbs impaling him with blades, and the third being a fight between Ino and Sakura as she arrives to the arena floor hearing Sakura proclaim how she'd win for the love of Sasuke as Ino stays silent but glances up at Naruto as he looks down at her with a blank expression, looking away she steels her nerves and focuses on Sakura and she blurts out. "Whatever forehead we'll see just who's worthy of Sasuke's love." hearing that Naruto raises a brow before his face goes back to an bored one, spotting this Hinata looks down saddened knowing just what's going on between the two, the match begins and Naruto opts to watch but with a bored expression, as the fight went on it would end in a double K.O., it could've went Ino's way but instead she'd be distracted glancing at Naruto's bored gaze and receiving a punch just as she lands hers on Sakura. Naruto shakes his head as the two were taken from the arena to be treated and the next match had been announced

Shikamaru Nara vs Kin Tsuchi

Looking too his left he spots a bored looking Shikamaru muttering "What a drag" Walking over to him Naruto pats him on the shoulder. "Cheer up Shika at least you get to fight with a good looking opponent" He says meaning good looking as in having a form fit for fighting but nonetheless it causes the female sound ninja across the way to blush hearing him and Hinata gives a small glare,followed by Kiba who glares at Naruto. Shrugging the lazy Nara looks at Naruto. "Damn troublesome blonde I guess you decided to drop the clown act huh?" Naruto gives a playful smirk "Who knows maybe win this match and I'll tell ya? Rolling his eyes Shikamaru makes his way down to the bottom but taking the stair instead.

Meanwhile Naruto looks over the sound ninja as she descends to the bottom looking her over knowing she was the one to capture Sakura back in the forest he nods before thinking aloud approving of her form. "Indeed not bad at all Impressive" he says before spotting a blonde locks in his peripheral turning he looks seeing a bandaged cheeked Ino followed by Sakura arrives from the opening where the steps lead to the bottom, stopping beside her teammate Choji she'd steal a glance at Naruto and he'd look to her before looking away making her look down,saying aloud "You went easy…we'll talk after the exams" She'd perk up just a bit at that, as her teammate Choji gives a small smile as he eats his chips and his sensei Asuma gives a knowing grin.

The battle of Shikamaru and Kin concludes with Shikamaru winning via shadow posssion making Kin quit, nodding Naruto makes a mental note to speak to her on a job well fought as she held a saddened look with a hint of terror shown in her eyes.

Naruto Uzumaki vs Kiba Inazuka

Naruto would smirk seeing the names and hearing Kiba yell out as both their names shown on the large screen of the arena "Yahoo we gotta easy one Akamaru let's put this bastard in his place and show em who's top dog." Kiba jumps from the platforms and lands at the bottoms before walking to the proctor with a grin on his face that says he's already won, smirk still on his face Naruto jumps with a somersault from the platform, only to stop mid-air a couple of inches from the ground hovering, making jounin and genin alike point,gasp,and whisper.

Arms folded Naruto drops to his feet just a few feet from Kiba as the proctor coughs into his hand and waves for the match to begin before jumping away. "I'm gonna make you pay for embarrassing me in front of Hinata" Hearing that Naruto gives a slight shrug followed by a devilish smirk "You'll try
