This will move pretty fast!. Don't like, don't read.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng sat at her desk, tongue poking through her lips as she sewed the final stitch on the dress she was making. It was sky blue, with teeny tiny flowers lining the collar, and swirling all around the sleeves. Tikki, her kwami, sat on her shoulder and watched her in fascination.
"It's very pretty, Marinette. Are you going to wear it tomorrow? I'm sure Adrien will like it."
Marinette looked up. "Thank you, Tikki. Yes, I will be wearing it. Do you really think so?
Tikki nodded enthusiastically. "For sure." She smiled. "Chat Noir will too."
Marinette gave her a look. " Chat's just a friend."
" A very good friend, at least." Tikki teased.
Marinette rolled her eyes. "You sound just like Alya."
Tikki flew off Marinette's shoulder, to the bed, making herself comfortable. "Whatever you say, Marinette." At that moment, the trap door opened and Chat Noir slipped in.
Marinette's whole face brightened. Tikki didn't miss it. "Chat! What are you up to?"
Chat closed the trap door behind him. "Visiting my Princess, of course." Marinette smiled, and sat on the floor, patting the spot next to her. Chat sat next to her, and laid his head on her lap. Marinette picked up the book next to hear, and started gently petting Chat. As she started to read, Chat snatched the book out of her hands. "Don't read. Talk to me." He begged.
Marinette laughed. "Ok, silly kitty. I'll talk to you."
Chat snuggled into her. "What can we talk about?"
Marinette snorted. "You mean, you don't have anything to talk about?"
Chat thought for a moment. "Maybe you should just read." Just then, he sat up straight. "Have you told the boy you like that you like him yet?"
Marinette sighed. " I will Monday. I'm going to write it in a note, and pass it to Nino-that's his best friend, so he can pass it to him.
Chat took a sharp breath. "Nino Lahiffe?"
Marinette nodded slowly. "Yes. How did you know?"
Chat gulped. "I've .. seen him around." He said nervously. Marinette looked at him suspiciously.
"Ok…" She said, She stood up and stretched. "You best get home, kitty. I need to sleep.
Chat sighed dramatically and dragged his feet to her trapdoor, opening it. He waved goodbye, as Marinette turned off the light and closed the door. He jumped out of the room, and Marinette watched as the trapdoor closed, before snuggling into her bed. Rolling over, she faced Tikki. "I can't believe I told him that." She whispered. Tikki didn't move. Mariner sighed. "Goodnight, Tikki."
OoOoOoOoOoo
Adrien's P.O.V
Adrien flopped down on his bed after climbing through his window. "Plagg, Claws in." He said.
Plagg appeared, clutching his stomach. "Feed me." He moaned pitifully.
Adrien rolled his eyes. "Feed yourself. The cupboards are right over there." He sighed softly. "Can you believe Marinnete is in love with me? Me! Of all people!"
Plagg brought a wheel of camembert over to the bed. "Yeah, Yeah. So Pigtails likes you. What's it to me?"
Adrien glared at him. "Why do I even ask you?"
Plagg stared lovingly at the Camembert in his hands. "Because I know all about love."
Adrien scoffed. (A.N. Ever the adorable oblivious dorkasuarus) "Who have you loved? Tikki?"
Plagg barely gave a glance. "No…. This lovely piece of Camembert that I've been aging for a while."
Adrien rolled his eyes. "I should have guessed." (A.N. Yes, you should have.) He looked up at the high ceiling. "Maybe…. Because I've been so focused on Ladybug, I've missed what was right in front of me."
Plagg clutched his heart. "Finally!" He cried. "The kitten sees sense!"
Adrien chuckled. "Thanks, Plagg." He rolled over, watching Plagg snarf down a wheel of cheese. The kwami then swooped up and curled into a little black ball on the pillow. Adrien continued to watch him.
The kwami opened a bright green eye. "Do you need something?" Plagg chuckled. "If not, please stare somewhere else."
Adrien rolled over once again. " I can't wait to talk to her again."
Plagg groaned. "How can you? You don't have school?"
Adrien pulled on a lock of hair. "I meant as Chat Noir "
"Oh, yay!" Plagg said sarcastically, with fake enthusiasm. "We figured it out, so shut your mouth, close your eyes, and GO TO SLEEP!!" He finished with a snap.
Adrien silently laughed. "You know you love me."
"Sleep!" Came Plagg's snarky reply.
OoOoOoOoOoO
Chat Noir slipped through the trapdoor of Marinette's room, lightly landing on his feet. Marinette looked up from a drawing in her lap. "Hey, Chat." She said,
Chat nodded, floundering across the room to her desk. He picked up the finished dress laying there. "Very nice." He observed. "Can I see it? On you?"
Marinette looked surprised, a faint dusting of pink across her cheeks."Sure. I'll be right back." Scooping up the dress, she disappeared through the bottom trapdoor, leaving Chat alone. He took a seat on the chaise, crossing his legs and stuffing the croissant that had been laying on a tray there in his mouth. Marinette came back, and twirled on her heel, the dress floating around her quite prettily.
Chat couldn't tear his eyes away. "You look… Stunning." He breathed.
A crimson blush spread across Marinette's face. "Thank you." She reached towards her bag hanging on the wall. "I have to go, Chat. I'm meeting with some friends."
Chat jumped up. "Oh, shoot. I forgot about that!" He cried.
Marinette eyed him. "Forgot about what?"
Chat stopped in his tracks. "Something-Something I have to do!" He jumped into her bed and practically flew out of her bedroom, making his way over to the bridge where Adres' Ice Cream cart was. He detransformed in an alley near the bridge, slipping Plagg a price of cheese, before darting towards where Alya and Nino were waiting. As he reached them, he collapsed on the bench, breathing hard. "Hey, guys." He puffed.
Alya laughed. "What's you do? Sprint here?"
Adrien glared at her. "As a matter of fact, I did."
She shut up.
A few minutes later, Marinette arrived, in the striking blue dress of hers. She smiled at each in turn. "Hello. Are you ready?" She approached Andre. Andre dished out a pale pink and green ice cream for her, and turned to Adrien, handing to him his usual red, black and blue ice cream. Marinette and Adrien stepped back and started to eat as Nino and Alya got their ice cream.
Adrien opened his mouth to speak, but when she shifted to look at him, he shut it. "Pretty colors." She remarked, pointing to his ice cream.
Adrien blushed. "Thank you." He said softly. Marinette turned again, looking at Alya and Nino laughing, holding each other up.
"They were made for each other." She smiled.
Adrien studied her face, drinking in every curve, and the way her eyes sparkled when she smiled like that. Just then, his phone beeped. He turned it on, his face darkening. Clicking it off, he stood up. "Akuma." He said gravely.
Marinette stood up so fast, she almost fell over. "We need to get to safety." She said quickly.
Adrien nodded, beckoning for Alya and Nino. "Akuma alert." He stated. Alya gasped and whipped out her phone, turning on her heel and heading to the Eiffel Tower, where the Akuma was first spotted.
Nino shrugged. "See you guys soon." He turned and darted after Alya, leaving Marinette and Adrien alone.
"I need to get to the bakery." Marinette lied.
"I'll come with you." Adrien offered. Ladybug can fare without me for a few minutes. He thought.
Marinette waved her hands. "That won't be necessary."
Adrien shook his head. "I insist."
Marinette bit her lip. This was not good. "Adrien-" She began, but was cut off by screams. As Adrien turned, momentarily distracted, Marinette took the opportunity to bolt, darting towards an alley. She felt bad for leaving him, but she needed to transform.
Tikki flew out of her bag, looking worried. "Hurry, Marinette!" She urged.
Marinette nodded. "Right. Tikki, spots on!" She cried. As the transformation took place, she swung up, looking for the Akuma.
Chat Noir appeared next to her, a scowl on his face. "She just abandoned me." He growled.
Ladybug turned to him. "Who? Nevermind. Where is the Akuma?"
"There." Chat huffed, pointing down. Ladybug followed his finger.
A lady wearing a button up shirt, and tinted blue skin was holding a pen, which she pointed at random people. Once the people were hit, they seemed to have the minds of children.
"I am the Educator!" She cried, her lips twisting into a malicious grin. "Come out, Ladybug and Chat Noir, so I may teach you!
Ladybug snorted. "I'll bet you anything the akumas in her pen."
Chat Noir nodded his agreement. Ladybug leaned over and whispered her plaon I to his ear. "Lucky Charm!" She cried, and at the same time Chat yelled, "Cataclysm!"
A staff identical to Chat Noirs, fell into her open palm. She smiled. "Perfect. She gave the staff to Chat, before swinging down and moving from building to building as the Educator vainly tried to hit her. She growled, and didn't notice as Chat Noir stuck up behind her, pressed the fake staff to her neck, and used his to swipe her feet out from underneath her. She fell on her stomach, and Ladybug wrapped her up with her yo-yo. Chat Noir snatched the pen from her hand, and broke it, the butterfly flying out. Using her yo-yo, Ladybug cleaned the butterfly.
"Bye-bye little butterfly!" She called. She stuck her fist out to Chat Noir, and they pounded it. Ladybug threw the staff in the air and cried, "Miraculous LadyBug!" Her earings beeped dangerously. She waved to Chat Noir, and took off to the alley she had transformed in.
"Tikki, spots off!" Her transformation faded, and Tikki landed in her palm. Marinette gave her a cookie, and gently put her in her purse. Ducking out of the alley, she made her way to Adrien, Nino and Alya. Adrien looked hurt. As soon as she got over to them, she took a deep breath and burst. "I'm so sorry, Adrien. I really had to go, and I was just fine. I'm sorry I left you."
Adrien shrugged, and turned away. "It's fine." He looked at his phone. "I've got to go." Without another word, he turned and got I to the sleek silver car that Natalie was waiting in.
Marinette watched as he went, before hugging Alya good bye and waving to Nino. She'd have to give Adrien a hug the next time she saw him.
OoOoOoOoOoO
3 Months Later.
Adrien laughed as Marinettet pulled a face at him. Over the last couple of months, Adrien had pulled himself closer to her, and Marinette had begun to see a side she'd never seen before. Adrien had forgiven her, and now he had decided to try to move on from Ladybug. Find someone else, or something. Adrien's face turned serious.
"Marinette." He began.
She looked up at him through her lashes. "Yes?"
"I have something very important to tell you." He continued.
Marinette nodded, and he rubbed the back of his neck, nervously. "I think I'm in love with you." He blurted. She opened her mouth, but he beat her to it. "You don't have to say something, and it's ok if you don't feel the-" He broke off as Marinette pressed her lips to his. His eyes widened, but after a second, closed them, and wrapped his arms around her waist. It was at that moment, he realized he was Chat Noir. Chat broke off the kiss, and stepped back.
Marinette looked worried. "Is everything alright?"
He gulped. "Yes. Just fine." But inside, he was screaming. He had just kissed Marinette, something he'd been dying to do, as Chat Noir!
"I-uh. Have to get to patrol!" He felt bad, seeing the hurt in her eyes, but he really needed to talk to Ladybug. He swung away from her balcony, to his and Ladybugs meeting spot. A few seconds later, she swung next to him.
"Hi." She said,
Chat faced her. " I want to tell somebody my identity." To his complete surprise, she nodded.
"Ok. Are you sure you can trust them?" She asked.
He nodded. "Absolute. They're my best friend."
He extended his staff, ready to go, but turned back. "Can I go?"
She nodded. "I have something to do too. We'll both get off early." She jumped off the Eiffel tower, and Chat Noir watched her swing away, before catapulting over to Marinette's house. She was sitting on her bed.
"Marinette?" He called softly. She met his gaze. "Sorry for running away." She smiled. Chat looked up at her." Can I tell you my identity?"
Her eyes widened, and her mouth dropped open. "Me?" She squeaked. Chat nodded. Marinette composed herself quickly. "Ok." She said so quietly he almost missed it.
CHat took a deep breath. "Plagg, Claws in." A flash of green signified that his suit was gone, but the the strangled noise that came out of Marinette was enough clarification. Plagg settled in his hair, munching on a price of cheese, watching Marinette curiously.
"Adrien?" Marinette whispered hoarsely.
Adrien smiled slightly. "Surprise?"
Marinette burst out laughing.
OoOoOoOoOoO
When Marinette finally got her breath back, Adrien bombarded her with questions.
"Why were you laughing?" He demanded.
Marinette chuckled." It's ironic." She sashayed away from him. "Can I show you something?" Adrien nodded. "Tikki, Spots on!"
Adrien's mouth dropped. "You're- You-" He spluttered.
"I'm Ladybug?" She finished. He nodded, dumbfounded. "Now I'll tell you what's so funny. You see, you were in love with ladybug, but I was in love with Adrien. I finally moved on, but fell in love with Chat Noir, and you got over Ladybug, but fell in love with me! It was a love square!" She cried.
She dropped her transformation, and Adrien stepped over to her. He gently kissed her. He stepped back, smiling as her face broke into a grin. He couldn't wait to see Alya's face when they told her.
Skitty, out!
"
