so the title says it all. came up with this in October while watching Wild Force. this takes place during the show since I want Merrick and Princess Shayla to be a part of this. to be a little more percise, it takes place after "The Soul of Humanity", as you will soon see why

It was December in the Animarium. Princess Shayla and Merrick were singing their song to the Deer Zord, who happily swayed listening to the song. As they came to the end of the song, they heard a child's voice.

"Princess, Merrick, I am glad to see the Deer Zord enjoyed your song," a familiar voice said. They saw Kite, also known as Animus.

"Animus, it is good to see you," Shayla said.

"Please, refer to me as Kite when I am in this form. Also, while the Deer Zord enjoyed your song, I believe it would appreciate a little variety."

The Deer Zord nodded in agreement. While it enjoyed the song they played it every morning, it was not adverse to new songs every now and then.

"But I don't know any other songs. Merrick?"

"I have no idea."

"Perhaps a new idea will become inspired in the coming days. Deer Zord, I know we agreed they would play for you every morning, but would you be willing to wait a few days for them to write a new one for you?" He looked sad at not getting to hear their song and flute for a few days, but nodded, wishing to hear their new song. "Thank you for understanding, Deer."

With that, the green zord leaped off in eager anticipation.

"We have to come up with a new song?" Merrick asked. "How can we do that?"

"Well, as I said, inspiration may come in the coming days since it is close to Christmas," Kite said.

"Christmas?" Merrick asked.

"What's Christmas?" Cole asked Alyssa.

"Ordinarily, I'd be surprised you didn't know, but living in the amazon since you were a baby, I guess it's to be expected. What brought this on?"

"I was walking around Turtle Cove, noticing all the decorations, and was curious."

"Alright. Where to begin."

So Alyssa started explaining Christmas, the decorations, the foods, the legends, etc. Cole was amazed at all of it. One sore point was it being a time for family to come together. Since his parents were murdered by their friend Viktor Adler, he had no family to celebrate with.

"Hey, Cole, I know family is a sore subject, but you can still celebrate Christmas. It'll be fun. Maybe we can decorate the Animarium. Put up some eco-friendly lights, maybe some tinsel."

"Sounds awesome to me."

Little were the rangers aware, they'd have quite a bit to deal with this Christmas.

I was watching Wild Force and felt like doing this. also I checked and before Samurai, we don't have any Christmas specials since Zeo, which I find to not be good especially considering how many Halloween episodes we had. which is not much but there was one in Operation Overdrive.
