The morning sun shines all over Sakura New City, and people are beginning to start their day. A Bakery in the city was no exception.
"Okay the bread should be done." A woman said as she pulled the bread pans out, the breads being fully baked.
"They look great, Hana." Her husband said as he kissed her on the cheek.
"Thanks, but I need to get the shop ready for the day." Hana said as she places the bread on a rack as a young man walks down the stairs.
The young man is fair-skinned, has big dark-brown eyes and brown hair worn with three large spikes that resemble cowlicks, and a small amount of hair sticking down at his neck. he wears a high school uniform consisting of a white shirt, a pale yellow vest, a blue blazer, a blue tie, black pants, and shoes.
"Morning!" The young man greeted his parents with a smile.
"Morning, Keita." Hana greeted back as a girl walked into the store.
The girl has chocolate brown eyes and brown hair tied in a ponytail with a pink ribbon. She also wears a high school uniform consisting of a white shirt, a pale yellow vest, a blue blazer, a pink bow-tie, black skirt and knee-socks; and brown shoes.
"Good morning!" The girl greeted and then bowed to Keita's parents.
"Morning, Fumi!" Keita said as he went around the counter and walked towards Fumi.
"You're going to school now? What about breakfast?" As if in answer to Hana's question, Keita takes a piece of bread and leaves money on the counter.
"We're off!" Keita and Fumi then walk out of the bakery, making Hana sigh in exasperation.
"That boy…" Hana laments but then gets another kiss from her husband.
"He's a growing boy. Besides… He got that from his grandfather."
"I guess you're right. Then again, Daiki… you were like that back when you were his age back then too, if i remember right?" Hana said, giving her husband a mischievous smirk on her face.
"Fair point."
"So, how should we say goodbye to Senpai?" Keita asks, making Fumi smile a bit.
"Don't know? Maybe we can throw a party at the club room with everyone else?" Fumi said.
"Make way!" A voice calls out, causing Keita and Fumi to move away from each other as Keita grabs the person by the collar of the same uniform as Fumi.
The girl is light-skinned and has purple/violet short hair with a front bang. She wears big round glasses and has violet-blue eye color with black pupils.
"Why do you do this in the morning, Inaho?" Fumi said with a sigh.
"Sorry, I forgot to set my clock to the right time… again…" Inaho said with a sheepish smile.
"Seriously?!" Keita exclaims but then slightly turns to see a middle schooler littering "Hey!" The middle schooler turned to him as he walked up to them "You can't just litter like that!"
"What?" The middle schooler turned to the bottle on the ground and his eyes widened a bit "Crap! I thought I was putting it in the trash!" The middle schooler quickly picks the bottle up and puts it in the recycling bin "Sorry about that!" The middle schooler said as he bows to Keita respectively.
"You're good." Keita said as the Middle schooler walked away.
"The nice person Keita strikes again." Inaho comments before getting shut up by Fumi.
"Come on. We better get going before or we're gonna be late." Fumi said.
"Right. Let's get going." Before Keita and the others could leave, an old man walks up to them.
"My apologies for bothering you but…" the old man then pulls out a red box sealed by a small purple rope that was tied into a bow.
"I saw what you did and to reward you for your consideration, I want you to have this."
The old man gives the box to Keita, which confuses the young man and his friends as they stare at the box "I'm sorry, but i don't-" When Keita looks up to face the old man, the strange old man is gone.
"Where did he go?" Fumi asks.
"I don't know." Keita said as Inaho smiled.
"Maybe we just had an interaction with the supernatural…" When Inaho said that, Keita and Fumi rolled their eyes in disbelief, before Fumi looked at her watch and saw the time and faced the two with a panicked look.
"Guys, if we do make a run for it, we'll be completely late for school!" Keita quickly puts the box in his bag as he and the two girls quickly start running to the school.
Elsewhere, a student with brown eyes was walking to school with bags under his eyes and walked into an alleyway "How did it come to this…?" The student asks as he starts to remember why he was wandering the city.
"I can't believe you, Kumashima!" His father roared, with his wife having a worried look on her face "Do you have any idea what you lost?!"
"Honey, it's okay. Really. Kumashima didn't mean to lose the ring." Kumashima's mother said but it didn't quell her husband's anger.
"But he still lost it!"
"Dad, I really am sorry! Please let me make it up to you!"
"You want to make it up to me? Then go and find that ring and don't you dare come back without it!" This shocks the family to its core. This whole argument started because of a ring that Kumashima had lost and now… he was getting kicked out until he found that ring.
Kumashima had spent three days looking for the ring with no success, so he spent day and night looking for it, losing sleep in the process "What i'm gonna do…?" Kumashima mumbled before he felt someone's presence behind him.
"I can help you… for a price." A woman's voice said, causing Kumashima to turn to her.
The young woman had pink eyes and long pink hair styled in pigtails, two strands of hair hanging as frontal locks featuring a pair of red bows, and the back pigtails left bare. She wears a black leather high waisted skirt, thigh high fishnet stockings, ankle high black leather boots, and an off the shoulder crimson red blouse.
"W-Who are you?" Kumashima asks, making the girl smile.
"Just someone who wants to unlock the darkness of your true inner self."
"Huh?" The girl then pulls out a black key and a keyhole appears on Kumashima's chest.
"Let the darkness fulfill your desires…" The woman said as Kumashima was transformed into some sort of creature.
This monster form takes the form of a humanoid bull with large horns and glowing yellow eyes but has regular feet with sharp talons, its amrs having sharp claws, and has large eagle wings on its back.
"What did you do to me?" Kumashima asks with a gravelly voice.
"I set your inner demon free. In this form, you can finally find that ring… even if it means you need to level the whole city." The girl said as Kumashima looked at his new form and then used his eyes to find the ring under a bush next to the woman.
"The ring!" Kumashima goes to the bush and picks up the ring "Now i remember… I was having fun with my friends around here and I must've dropped it around here…" He then turns to the woman "Thank you… um…"
"Morgana… that is my name." Morgana said as she pulled out a staff and pointed it at Kumashima, smiling wickedly "And you will become my servant…"
Kumashima's yellow eyes glow brightly and he bows to the mysterious woman "I pledge my undying loyalty, Morgana-sama…" Morgana smiles even more after hearing this.
"Then let's go and destroy this city… Haagenti." She said, pleased that she will be using this to get one thing… revenge.
Once the school bell rings across the school, it signals the students that lunch begins now. Keita and the girls went up to the roof and saw another student up there before them.
The student in question was wearing the male school uniform, but had brown eyes and not-kept brown hair.
The student turns to Keita and the girls "Hey, Keita."
"Hey, Kanchi." Keita greeted Kanchi back as he and the others.
As the four teens eat their lunch, Keita pulls out the box from earlier, catching the eyes of Kanchi and the girls "What's that?" Kanchi asks.
"It's a box a strange man gave me this morning." Keita explained what had happened in the morning, making Kanchi a little excited.
"Well, what're you waiting for? Open it!" Kanchi said, making Keita scowl.
"I'm not gonna do it!" Keita protested.
"Well, the old man did say that the box is now yours." Inaho pointed out.
"I'm actually curious about it myself." Keita could feel the pressure on top of him and he then gave in.
"Fine! Alright! I'll open it!" Keita then unwraps the small rope and opens the box to reveal a strange looking belt. The belt was white in color all over, had a keyhole and had two hinges on each side.
The others looked at the item inside the box and tilted their heads in confusion "What is it? A belt?" Inaho asks as a white mist surrounds the group, scaring them and causing them to huddle together.
"What's going on?!" Kanchi asks as the mist clears revealing a strange being before them.
The being before the four teenagers is pale and ghost-like, purple hair on top of his head, which is in a wisp-like hairstyle. He also appears to have a hollow nose, similar to a skull, and two yellow eyes with white pupils. His ears are pointy, and his fully defined hands have long, sharp nails. He wears a black suit that melts seamlessly into his ghostly tail with a white undershirt, and a pink bowtie.
The being begins to stretch, as if he had woken up from a nap and yawns before spotting the creeped out teens "Ah! My apologies! My sudden appearance must have frightened you!" The being said as the teens ease up somewhat.
"Who are you?" Keita asks.
"My name is Whisper! I am a Yokai! Pleased to make your acquaintance." Whisper said as he bows to the four.
"A Yokai!?" Kanchi reiterated.
"You mean those creatures that have been in our world for a long time?" Fumi asks as Inaho smiles while pushing up her glasses.
"This is so cool!" Inaho squealed.
"So you know about the Yokai then?" Whisper asks.
"Yeah. A lot of Yokai have been living in this city for a good couple of years now. Some of them have some businesses here." Keita asks before remembering the belt "Oh yeah! Why were you in the belt?"
"Oh, well I was-" Before Whisper could explain what happened, the group felt a tremor underneath their feet, despite the fact that they were on the rooftop.
"What's going on?" Keita goes to the railing to see what was happening and sees some strange creatures led by both Morgana and Haagenti.
These creatures looked like black demons with glowing blue eyes with white bones acting as the armors of these monsters.
"Yes, my darling Schemers! Don't stop until this place is completely destroyed! Don't let a single human live!" Morgana ordered with a creepy smile forming on her face.
Keita then quickly grabs the belt and puts it in his blazer and runs down the stairs to try and help as many people as he can "Keita!" Fumi called out to him but was already far down for him to hear.
Keita makes it to the third floor and sees two girls about to be attacked by a Schemer before he kicks it square in the face "Are you two okay?" Keita asks the girls as they nod, Keita leaves the two and fights some more Schemers.
Meanwhile, Whisper watches Keita's fighting prowess and smiles and pulls out a small white key "Could he be the one…?" Whisper asks himself as Keita was able to get down to the first floor.
"Hey!" Morgana and Haagenti turned to Keita's voice, seeing the teen run up to them with an angry look on his face.
"Are you talking to us, worm?" Morgana asks, dropping her smile.
"I am! Who are you?! Why are you doing this?!" Keita asks as Morgana smiles a bit.
"Why? It's because you humans need to be exterminated." Haagenti was walking towards Keita until he stopped, clutching his head in pain and reverted back into Kumashima, who fell to his knees.
"Kuma?!" Keita exclaimed.
"Keita! Run! Morgana is going to use me to hurt people… AHHH!" Kuma screams in pain as he reverts back into Haagenti, thanks to Morgana by using her scepter.
"Hmph. Who said you could come out?" Morgana said as Haagenti got up and began to approach Keita again and swung his right arm at him, with Keita barely dodging at the last moment.
"Keita!" Whisper called out as Morgana turned to him.
"Another yokai?" Morgana was simply disgusted that a yokai was friends with a human.
"Whisper!" Keita called out as all of the students and teachers saw him fighting against Haagenti, or rather, him dodging the bull monster.
"Is that Keita?" One of the male students asked.
"Yeah! What is he and that yokai thinking?!" A female student asks.
"Keita! Get out of there!" One of the teachers yelled, making Morgana smirk.
"You should listen to them… surrender and I'll leave your school alone." Haagenti grabbed Keita by the collar but couldn't move him and saw the young man's face completely consumed by rage.
"I won't…"
"I'm sorry… what was that, human?" Morgana asks as Keita grabs Haagenti by his arm and twists his whole body and then kicks him into the pavement.
"I said I won't let you hurt anyone else!" Keita declares as the belt gets out of his blazer and floats before him when Whisper floats over to Keita's side.
"Hurry! Put the Yokai Driver on your waist!" Whisper said as he gives Keita a small white key with a picture of a white masked warrior.
"Yokai Driver?" Keita looks at the Yokai Driver before him and then back at Haagenti, who was struggling to get up "But what about Kuma?"
"He'll be fine! Once you defeat the monster in combat, your friend will turn back to normal!" Whisper explained as Keita closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
"This is pathetic… he is one human. Stop screwing around and finish this, Haagenti!" Morgana shouted as Keita opened his eyes and grabbed the Yokai Driver and put it around his waist, which it attaches itself to.
"Yokai Driver!" The belt announced as Keita looked at the key and then back at the enemies before him.
"Henshin!" Keita places the key into the slot and turns it, making the watch's face plates pop open to reveal the insides, which shows that it has a working mechanical detail with a single red hand stuck at 12 o' clock.
"Shiro no Hero! Seimei no Senshin! Kamen Rider Yokai!" The belt announced as Keita's body is consumed by white light.
Golden armor appears on his arms, knees and legs, with golden rings on both upper arms and gains a silver chest armor with shoulder pads with red stars on each of them. The white light dissipates and reveals a white spandex like material with some gold hip parts attached to it and his face becomes covered by a helmet that has red eyes, golden multi-bladed horns, gold lining on each side of the helmet, and a flat silver mouthpiece.
Keita looked at himself and then touched his helmet "What in the world?!" Keita screams, Inaho looking at the now transformed Keita.
"H-He's… HE'S BECOME A KAMEN RIDER!" Inaho cheered at the top of her lungs, the student body and the teachers just as baffled as Fumi and Kanchi.
"Me…? A Kamen Rider?" Keita asks himself as Haagenti gets up and charges right at the new Kamen Rider.
Keita quickly dodged and kicked him back into the ground "Kuma… I will save you!" Keita declares as Haagenti quickly gets up and charges at the Kamen Rider, but is quickly grabbed by the horns.
"What are you doing?!" Keita doesn't respond, only raising his right arm into the air and karate chopped the demon's horns and kicked him away.
"Whoa! Is Keita manhandling this monster?" One of the male student's asks.
"Go, Keita!" Fumi cheered.
"Kick that demon back into the netherworld!" Kanchi cheered as well, Keita nodding to them all.
"My thoughts exactly." Keita turns the key again, feeling power going through his legs.
"Spirit up! Soultimate Finish!" The belt announced as Keita jumped in the air high enough to do a flying dive kick, kicking Haagenti, overloading him with positive energy, and causing him to explode.
When the explosion cleared, Kuma was somehow unscathed and the key landed next to him, shattering into pieces "No! My revenge was so close! I'll get you for this, Human!" Morgana said, her voice seething with rage as she fades away in a black smoke.
"Kuma!" Keita then quickly helps his friend up and puts his arm over his shoulders to help him walk "You okay?"
"Yeah… thanks to you." Kuma said as the teachers came with a paramedic, helping Kuma onto a stretcher.
"You're gonna be just fine!" Keita shouted as Kuma quickly gave him a thumbs up.
"You were so cool, Keita!" Inaho said as Keita turned the key and removed it.
"You think so?"
"We know so! You showed that lady never to underestimate you!" Kanchi exclaimed as Whisper floated before the four teens.
"I'm glad the Driver chose someone who was pure at heart! So from today forward, I shall become your butler, Keita-sama!" Whisper declares, causing the teen's face to turn from a smile to a shocked expression.
"Eh?!" Keita didn't know what to think.
Keita crashed on his bed, with Kanchi and the girls sitting on the floor at his small table "I can't believe you became a Kamen Rider, Keita!" Inaho exclaimed as Hana walked into her son's room with a first aid box and placed a bandage on his cheek.
"I can't believe it either… I never thought I would see the day…" Hana said as she placed a bandage above Keita's forehead.
"So… are you and Dad okay with this, Mom?" Hana was caught off guard by this sort of question. She's heard of the Kamen Riders before, and even saw some articles about one called Drive, who was working with the police.
Hana was completely on the fence about it. On the one hand, she was a little angry at her son for doing something dangerous but on the other hand, she was proud of what he did. Hana takes a deep breath and looks at her son with a smile "...I think me and your father will be okay with it. Just promise me you'll keep yourself safe, okay?"
Keita quickly nods and smiles "Of course." Keita said, hugging his mother as to not concern her.
Fumi and the other two left an hour later and headed home and Keita was left alone in his room "I still can't believe it… I'm a Kamen Rider…" Keita said as he now realized that his life might never be the same.
