After causing major problems in the forest near the Monastery, Artoria is forced to confront Seteth, the principal of the Academy.
"Do you know the problems that you just caused with your little magic practice?" - Seteth asked me, looking very angry.
"I'm sorry, I didn't thought that doing this would cause that much trouble" - I said, trying to excuse myself.
After accidently setting the forest on fire with Caliburn, I was quickly taken to the Academy by the Knights. As I knew what they would do if they found out I had Caliburn, I decided to hide it with a spell before going with them.
"What spell were you trying to do? A little Fire wouldn't be capable of causing such a mess" -
"I was practicing Ragnarok. I thought that learning a high ranking spell would be useful for me" -
"You should've thought better" -
After saying that, Seteth sat down in his desk and looked me directly in the eyes.
"At least for the week until classes start, you will no longer be allowed to leave the Monastery. I'll notify the Knights to not let you out of Garreg Mach" -
"Alright..." -
I was annoyed by that, but I knew that saying anything else could make my punishment even worse, I didn't felt like testing my luck right now.
After that, Seteth let me go and I went to my room, meeting with Edelgard on the way there.
"Arty, I heard they took you to Seteth, what happened?" -
"I... Let's just say I did something that I don't really feel proud of" -
"I hope you didn't hurt anyone" -
"I didn't, I promise, it just burned down a couple trees by accident while practicing with Caliburn" -
"Please tell me they didn't took your sword" -
"No, I managed to hide it with a spell, but now I can't leave the Monastery to recover it or I'll get punished, can you do it for me?" -
"Of course, just let em do something with Hubert and I'll do it" -
"Thanks Edel!" -
After talking with her, I left to my room and stayed reading all day since I didn't felt like doing anything else, didn't had the motivation.
Edel brought Caliburn in the afternoon and I stored it again under my bed. I'm not going to risk anything happening to my family's Relic, so not more using it, at least not for the moment.
The next day was really boring. My initial plans was leaving the Monastery and practicing outside while exploring and getting to know the towns below, but because of my little mistake I wasn't capable of doing that. Thankfully, Edel and Hubert kept me company, and Hubert and I started to practice Dark Magic together.
He taught me to control Miasma more, and to shoot more of them at the same time. He and I talked for a bit and we got close.
At night, I kept practicing with my sword at the training grounds until someone entered them.
"Oh, my bad, I thought there was no one here" -
A boy with blonde hair and blue eyes, he's Dimitri, the leader of the Blue Lions.
"Nice to meet you your Majesty, my name is Artoria Pendragon, heir to the Pendragon house in the Adrestrian Empire" - I introduced myself as soon as I could. My mother and father taught me that I need to cause a good first impresion, especially if I'm talking to royalty.
"No need for formalities like that Artoria, just call me Dimitri" - he said as he extended his hand to me.
I took it with no hesitation and smiled at him. He looks like a nice boy.
"What are you doing training this late?" - he asked me curious.
"I can't sleep, and this will help me get tired" -
"If getting tired is what you want, do you mind if we spar together?" -
"Sparing with the future King of Faerghus? Yes please, let's start" -
He prepared his lance, I my sword and we started a little fight. While we spared, he made some small talk, most of which was good, until...
"What do you think about the Church?" -
"The Church? I don't care about them, they could dissapear for all I care" -
"Why the hostile attitude? Someone at the Church did something at you?" -
"It's private Dimitri, and right now I don't have the intention of telling it" -
We continued to fight for a little bit until we both grew tired and decided to go to bed. I apologized for getting angry at his question about the Church and then left for my room.
I arrived and tried to sleep, but every time I closed my eyes I could see a silouette charging at me that I didn't knew what it was, it look vaguely humanoid before becoming like a monster when he got close to me. Because of that, I couldn't sleep so I stayed all night reading a spell book.
After that, the days were a mix of me studying with Edelgard and practicing with Hubert or Dimitri at the training grounds. If I wasn't stupid enough to do my little Caliburn practice at the forest, I could have spent those days outside, but what's done it's done.
I didn't felt really that bad about not being able to leave the Monastery, but two days before the week would end...
"You're going on an expedition!?" -
"Yes, we're going to have a whole day to explore a few areas far from the Monastery, the Knights will be going with us to make sure nothing happens" - Edel explained to me what was going to happen.
As soon as I heard that, I rushed to Seteth's office and begged him to let me go with them, but he refused, as the punishment was that I couldn't leave until the classes started normally. Alright, now I'm oficially mad.
The last day, I saw Edel leave with the rest of the 3 houses and the Knights, I wished her luck before she left and said goodbye. After that, I returned to my room and awaited for them to get back.
I just hope nothing happens to them...
