Ritsuka Fujimaru lives a sad life. He's about to start his last year of high school, yet has no friends nor anyone to rely on, yet a new girl will soon change his views on life.

Fujimaru layed in bed, unable to fall asleep, counting the hours left until his last school year started. He was alredy sick of this life, and just wanted it to end.

Another year without friends nor a couple, another year having to keep up with his parents fighting all the time, at least now he wouldn't have to listen to them all the time since they got separated during the summer.

He was currently living with his mom, and they didn't had a good relationship, which ment Fujimaru couldn't rely on her. Even with his family, the boy was all alone.

He was sick of the life in Kioto, and wanted to live. He was a pretty good student and had eyes on a prestigious university in Tokyo, a new beggining. His plan was to pass this year with good grades, not get any attention on himself, save money by getting a part time job and when the time came, leave everything behind.

When he finally was able to fall asleep, he thought of one last thing before everything went black.

"I just want this year to be over" -

/ Next Day /

The boy was walking towards the school, ready to pass this year as fast as he could. The voices of the students surrounded him, each greeting their friends and telling what they did on the summer.

He didn't do much, only stayed at home all the time, except to walk his dogs and go to see movies.

His phone vibrated, distracting him. It was a message from his mother.

"I won't get home today, there's a lot of work. There's money on the table, order food after you arrive and clean the house. Mom" -

As he was reading, he didn't noticed how a girl came running to the school. With both being distracted, they crashed and fell to the ground.

"Oh god, are you alright?" - Ritsuka asked, as he helped the girl get her stuff back.

"Yes, I'm fine, thanks" - she said in a hurry, clearly she wanted to get to classes as fast as she could.

"You're going way too fast, you know the first class haven't started right? They start in half an hour" -

The girl simply opened her backpack and started to look at the time of each class before hitting herself in the head.

"I'm so stupid!" - she said about herself.

"Hey, don't put yourself down like that. You made a first day mistake, everyone does it, I did it in my first year" -

"First year?" -

"Yeah, I'm on my last year" -

"Last year... That means you're my Senpai" -

"What!?" -

Ritsuka got surprised, this was the first time anyone called him like that.

"Thanks for your help Senpai, my name is Mash Kyrielight, what is your name?" -

"I am Ritsuka Fujimaru, hello" -

Mash got up from the ground and she and Ritsuka locked eyes for a moment. Her bring pink eyes with his deep blue eyes.

They didn't knew it yet, but this moment would be the start of the year that would change their lifes forever...
