Ritsuka's first day starts. Everything seems to be normal until he's called to help a certain girl from first grade.
"Hello students, I hope you're ready for your last year in this school. Before we start with our lesson, we'd like everyone to meet our new exchange student" - the teacher said as a girl entered the classroom.
"Pleasure to meet you everyone, my name is Morgan Le Fay, me and my sister come from England. I hope you may treat us well" - the girl with shining white hair said. Her eyes met Ritsuka's for a few seconds, with her simply smiling a little bit before going to sit down.
"Alright then. Now, before we start..." -
"Professor Hanamura, there's a problem" - a student from a lower grade entered the room - "Can we borrow one of your students to help us grab some chairs?" - it was Mash.
"Of course, no problem. Let's see... Fujimaru, mind helping her?" -
Ritsuka didn't thought much of it, he simply got up and followed Mash.
"Thanks for your help Senpai" - the girl said happily.
"Yeah, can we get this done fast? I need to get back to class" -
"Oh, you're invested in your studies?" -
"Been top student for a while now, I just want to get to a good college in Tokyo, alredy have one on my sight" -
"You don't want to stay here in Kioto? But it's such a cute place to live, especially in this season" -
"I have my reasons, now let's just hurry up" -
Mash was a little sad about the attitude of her Senpai, but she believed he was simply troubled, no, he knew it, and she decided to help him, even if he didn't wanted to.
After helping Mash with the chairs, Ritsuka returned to his classroom, just wanting to get this few lessons over with so he could eat his lunch. Due to not being able to sleep properly and thus waking up at a later hour, Ritsuka didn't had a chance to eat breakfast.
Despite his hunger, he still managed to keep up fairly easily with the class, although the new student, Morgan, distracted him for a second, she seemed to be just as intelligent as he was, considering they both finished their excercies at about the same time.
During lunch, he got ready to eat his meal, but just when he got ready to eat, someone else sat next to him.
"Hello Senpai" - Mash said with a smile.
"Am, hi?" - he said, as he wasn't used to someone sitting by his side during lunch time.
"I just wanted to sit next to you, and ask you something" -
"Yeah?" -
"Well, I haven't really been good with my studies, not that I'm bad mind you, but I never was like my parents wanted, and if what you told me about being a top student is true... Can you teach me?" -
"Wait... You want me to be your tutor?" -
"Yeah, it would really help me and..." -
"Sorry, not interested" -
"What!?" -
"Right now I'm too busy with getting good grades this year, I can't afford getting distracted by teaching someone else, search for another tutor" -
Mash was a little bit sad by how uninterested Ritsuka acted, but a small setback like this wouldn't stop her. Fortunatly, she had a perfect way to get him to accept.
"If you accept, my dad will pay you 6000 yen for the hour, 3 hours every saturday and sunday" -
Ritsuka suddenly started to reconsider. He still didn't liked the idea, but a little bit of extra money would work just fine for him, especially for his Tokyo funds.
"Fine, I'll do it" - he said, he'll have to work around his homework for the weekend for each session.
"Great! Now, if you don't mind I'll sit here with you and enjoy my lunch" -
"Do as you please" -
For the duration of the recess, Mash bombarded Ritsuka with questions in hope of getting to know him better, but the boy wasn't interested and answered in a rather coldly way. While Mash was a bit saddened, she at least managed to talk to him.
"Oh hey Senpai, are you in any club?" -
"I've been in Judo for the past 2 years, I guess I'll do the same for the third one, why the question?" -
"Nothing, I was interested. I would get in but I'm not too good with physical activities, you see" -
"I definitly do" -
After their lunch time was over, Mash started to prepare her things yet was stopped by Ritsuka, who handed her a small paper note.
"My phone number, in case you need help with something. Keep in mind that mondays, wednesday and friday from 16:30 to 17:30 I won't be available due to Judo, alright?" -
"H-Hai!" -
"Good, bye" - and with those words, he started to make his way back to his classroom, with Mash doing the same for hers.
The last 3 hours went by rather quickly for the boys, after which Ritsuka wanted to get home as fast as possible, he needed to clean the house, but as he was leaving...
"Senpai! Hello!" - there she was again, Mash showed up out of nowhere and ran straight for him.
"Mash? What are you..?" -
"Well, now that school is over and clubs don't start until 2 weeks after and yes, I did checked, I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go for some ice cream" -
"Ice cream? Sorry but I need to..." -
"Oh don't worry, it won't take long! A half an hour at most, trust your Kouhai!" -
"Since when are you my..?" -
"If you're my Senpai, I'm your Kouhai. Now come on, we gotta get there before a big line forms!" - with that, Mash grabbed Fujimaru by the arm and dragged him towards the ice cream place, with the boy having only 1 thought in his head.
"What did I got myself into with her..." -
