After finding the piece of the Dark Stone, Marth, Flora and Yurkeh follow professor Ilma to his laboratory, where the rest of their friends await them, ready to choose their starter Pokémon.
"So, do you guys know what you're going to chose?" - Marth asked his sister and friend.
"I don't know, but I'm sure I want a Fire type, they're the coolest there are" - Flora said as they walked to the laboratory.
"I should've known... Well, I'm going to do the same so I can't talk" - Marth agreed with his sister - "And you Yurkeh?" -
"Probably a Water type, or an Ice type" - the boy said, as his Pokémon election wasn't so important to him as to the siblings.
"I'd like to see what big brother would chose" - Flora said smiling as they arrived to the laboratory and entered, met my professor Ilma.
"Ah, kids, good to see you" - the professor said while he was sitting on a table with another man. This man had bright silver hair that fell on his shoulders and yellow eyes, dressed in a fancy suit and was a lot taller than the 3, at 196 cm.
"Hello professor, are we interrupting something?" - Marth asked as he saw the guest.
"Don't mind me, I was alredy leaving. Nice to meet you 3, my name is Alexander Umar" - the man with silver hair said.
"Alexander... Umar? Feel like I heard that name somewhere but can't put my finger on where exactly" - Yurkeh said as he started to think.
"Alexander is the CEO of the Energex Company which supplies the Shinto region with energy" - Ilma explained - "He came here because he wants me to help him find a more stable model for his new generators" -
"Well professor, it was a pleasure meeting you, we'll talk later. I must take my leave, goodbye everyone" - Alexander said as he left the laboratory.
"He's kind of weird" - Marth said.
"Now now kids, don't be disrespectful" - Ilma said - "Now, I told you that today, you would chose your starters, and I shall keep my word" -
"And where are the rest? Should we go look for them?" - Yurkeh said.
"No need, they arrived a lot sooner than you. Follow me please" -
Ilma took them to a place they knew well, the underground laboratory where the professor had artificial enviroments for different Pokémons, which he used to study them in their natural habitat. As they arrived, they found their friends watching the Pokémon, waiting to pick one.
A girl with long blue hair all the way to her lower back and blue eyes. Standing at 176 cm, her name is Sting Xiang.
A girl with green hair tied into two ponytails and green eyes. With a height of 167 cm, her name is Mohrir.
A boy with black pointy hair and dark green eyes with a red streek that passed through his face at his eye's height. Standing at 182 cm, his name is Venom Braggard.
A girl with medium length peach colored hair with part of it braided across her head. With a height of 172 cm, her name is Katya Felis.
A boy with waist-length golden-blonde hair. and deep red eyes. At 176 cm, his name is Byron Love.
As soon as they saw them, Flora jumped at Byron and threw him to the ground while laughing.
"Poor Byron, he alredy got caught..." - Mohrir said while looking down, faking sadness.
"Marth, Yurkeh, good to see you" - Sting said as she smiled at the two boys.
"Good to see you too" - Marth answered as he hugged her.
"You alredy know what Pokémon are you going to pick?" - Venom asked.
"Still thinking about it, though I know I want a Fire type" - Marth answered while searching for where those were.
"Were are the rest? I thought we all agreed to meet here" - Flora said as she and Byron got up from the ground.
"They came while you and your brother were in the Ancient Forest, they alredy got their Pokémon and might be training with them" - Ilma said as he approached the boys - "Have you made your..." -
"THIS ONE! I WANT THIS ONE!" - Marth's scream echoed in the whole laboratory, scaring Flora and Percy while confusing the rest.
They went with the boy, finding him watching a small Scorbunny behind the glass.
"Scorbunny? A fine choice indeed Marth. Give me a second and I'll put him in a Pokéball for you to grab" - Ilma said as he left the boys alone.
One by one, the rest also started to pick their Pokémons:
Flora got herself a Fennekin, Sting a Froakie, Yurkeh a Sobble, Mohrir a Phantup, Venom a Dreepy, Katya a Houndoor and Byron a Mudkip.
After all of them recieved their Pokémon from Ilma's hands, he congratulated them but, as Flora attempted to leave to start her journey, he promptly stopped her.
"Going without your friends is quite disrespectful girl, you should wait for them" - the old man said while hitting her head with his cane - "First of all, I have a gift for all of you, so I need all to be reunited. Please, go look for them" -
"Alright then, but where are they?" - Marth asked. He wasn't going to search if there were no clues.
"Some of them said that they were going to play with their Pokémon in the Ancient Forest, others stayed in the town" - Ilma explained the kids.
"So we'll divide, easy. Marth, Sting and Byron, you with me, we'll search the forest. The rest will search here in Drake Town" - Flora started to act as the main leader of the group.
"Sounds like a good plan. We'll search for them, get the gift from professor Ilma, spend our last night here, and tomorrow we'll start our Pokémon journey!" - Katya loudly proclaimed as she raised her hand to the air.
The rest followed her, screaming "YEAH!" before happily leaving to search for the rest of their friends.
