As the villagers struggle against their enemies, the arrival of Chaldea suddenly turns the tides of the fight.
The people of Ionia started to lose hope.
Even with the help of Yasuo, Kennen, Akali and Karma, their enemies outclassed them bu nearly 50 to 1 and their forces started to tire out.
Irelia fought with Sion, but even with Karma powering her up and Kennen electrocuting the giant, it was still not enough to stop it. As he raised his axe to land a killing blow on her, his attack was suddenly stopped by several swords flying against him.
"An undead? You're even more disgusting than those mongrels fighting at your side" - an unknown voice spoke from behind Irelia.
She turned around, seeing a blonde man she'd never seen before.
"Hey, excuse him for that" - a boy with black hair and blue eyes said - "Now, Chaldea, defeat those soldiers, do not allow them to kill or destroy anymore" -
And as such, Chaldea's assault on the enemy army started, and it quickly became a very one sided battle.
Joining forces with the fighters that helped the village, the different Servants started to wreck havoc with whatever they could, yet none of them actually deployed their Noble Phantasm.
As Sion looked at the newly arrived forces, his hunger for battle grew and charged at them, only to be met by Heracles, who pushed him back with his fists.
"Who are you?" - Irelia asked, still confused about the whole situation.
"My name is Ritsuka, and don't worry, we're here to help" - Fujimaru answered as he watched his Servants destroy nearly without effort their enemy before getting a transmission from the Storm Border - "Da Vinci?" -
"Good news Ritsuka Kun, we managed to alter the Border's mana core" -
"Alter it? But why?" -
"This place is filled to the brim with mana, it would be a shame not to use it, so we programmed the core to absorb the mana of the land and then distribute it to you and the Servants, you're welcome" - the Rider Servants said before cutting the call.
Immediatly, all Servants noticed an increase in their powers, but there was one in special that was going to use it very well.
"Oberon, by my Command Seal, deploy your Noble Phantasm and finish our enemies with it!" - Ritsuka yelled.
Oberon Vortigern turned to look at him before slightly smiling.
"The curtain of night, the lark of morning, the end… Of a rotten dream. Devour the twilight. 'Lie Like Vortigern'!" -
The giant abyssal insect emerged from the ground as created by Oberon, directing its attack against the enemy army and swallowing nearly all of them inside its hollow mouth. Those poor souls, now doomed to wander an endless abyss until the day of their death.
After the devastating attack, nothing but a few of them remained alive still, one of them being the giant undead, who remained fighting Heracles, but it was time to put an end to him.
While he was busy fighting the Berserker, Barghest managed to sneak up on him and landed a crucial hit with her sword, cutting the arm in which he hold his weapon and burning the right side of his body.
As he was trying to pick up his weapon, Melusine charged at him and impaled him with Innocence Arondight, leaving what remained of him being dragged away by the few surviving soldiers from the now destroyed army who were desesperate trying to escape.
"Is this why you called us Master? To fight weaklings who can't even defend themselves?" - Salter complained.
"We needed to help the villagers, we weren't going to leave them to be killed" - Fujimaru answered before someone caught his attention.
Irelia was now behind him, next to her, Yasuo and Karma.
"Thank you for the help kind strangers, mind telling us your names?" - Irelia said while extending her hand in sign of friendship.
The people of the village, helped by the Servants, started to rebuild what had been destroyed and burried the bodies of their fallen as they prayed for them.
"I'm sorry that we couldn't arrive sooner to help" - Ritsuka said.
"No need, you helped us fight the invaders, and after this, they're surely not coming back in a while" - Irelia answered before looking at the Servants - "Your friend are... Ceirtantly a colorful group" -
"Yeah, but they're the best one I could ever ask for, and we've been together for nearly two years at this point, so..." -
Before he could finish talking, Ritsuka was surprised when he heard something moving in their direction. When he turned to look, he saw the Storm Border heading their way, driving through the fields before landing safely next to the village.
"Seems like some things still work" - Ritsuka said before he saw Da Vinci, Holmes, Nemo and Sion abandon the vehicle.
"Good work out there Fujimaru Kun" - Da Vinci said with a proud voice, but she looked a bit nervous.
"Da Vinci? Is something wrong?" - the Master of Chaldea cuestioned.
"Well..." -
"If you don't feel like saying it, then I'll do it: Ritsuka, 1 Grail is missing, it dissapeared from the storage as we entered this world" - Holmes dropped the bomb immediatly.
...
"WHAT!?" -
After they managed to calm down Ritsuka, Holmes explained that they tried to track down its location, yet it was difficult to do so.
"Can I see the map of this world?" - Fujimaru asked, with Da Vinci using a device to display it.
Irelia, as a native, used her knowledge to help the Chaldeans with the different regions.
"We are currently in Ionia, the others are Demacia, Noxus, Shurima, Piltover, Zaun, Targon, Bilgewater and the Shadow Isles" -
"We'll need to mark them before we can do anything else" - Ritsuka said - "Thanks Irelia" -
"It's the least I can do to repay your kindness" - she answered.
"Well then, I suggest we start preparing the forces to look for the Grail" - Nemo said.
"Since we're alredy here, we'll start looking in Ionia, besides, we can help them rebuild what was destroyed, you said that the army that attacked destroyed several other villages right?" - Ritsuka said looking at Irelia.
"Yes, that army came from Noxus. I expected them to come back, but the attack being so soon surprised me..." -
"Well, with what Oberon did, I don't think they'll come back anytime soon" - Fujimaru joked with her - "So we alredy have a plan, Chaldea, come here!" -
Ritsuka called all of his Servants before informing them of what they would do.
They will stay in Ionia and help them rebuild what the Noxus army destroyed, all while searching for the Grail. If it wasn't in this land, then they'll have to split up and search for it on the different regions.
With that, Chaldea's mission in Runeterra started.
