With time to spare while the Storm Border is repaired, Ritsuka wanders off with the Rouge Assassin, Akali.
While the peaceful and tranquil life in the Ionian village was enjoyable, Ritsuka found himself missing action really quick.
The Servants so far seemed to be enjoying themselves, even Gilgamesh was having fun, but Ritsuka wasn't, until...
In a stroll he took to a nearby forest, he found someone there. There was a woman, one he met during the battle at the village, she was sitting in a log, visibly sweaty and tired, probably from training. Luckily, the boy had a bottle of water that he took from the Border.
"Hey, you need some water?" -
The woman looked at him, smiling before grabbing the bottle.
"Thanks, I've been scouting the surroundings in case there might be more Noxian soldiers and it gets tired after a while" - she said before taking a big drink - "You're one of those that came during the invasion, Chaldea right?" -
"Yes, I'm Ritsuka, you?" -
"Akali, nice to meet you" -
They both shook hands before Akali got up.
"I still have a little bit more tracking to do, better return to the village with the others" -
"I can help if you want, I know a bit of ninjutsu"-
"You do? Not so sure though, you really think you'll be able to fend off Noxian soldiers in case we find any?"
"Not my first time dealing with soldiers like those, trust me. I know how to handle myself" -
"You seem confident in your skills. Fine, join me, try not to get too injured" -
"Same goes for you" -
As the two advanced through the trees in the forest, Akali started to question Ritsuka over his life before he arrived in Runeterra with the Border.
"Before joining Chaldea, not much really, I just went to school, had a summer job, the usual stuff. After joining however... Uf, things got weird pretty fast" -
"Really? What did you did for your first mission?" -
"Well, I got send to a burning city and had to fight a dark king called Artoria, which after that I managed to summon and we somehow hit it off, so we ended up dating" -
Akali simply said nothing, she just stared at Ritsuka with a face of distrust.
"You have to be joking" -
"We can talk with her after we get back if you don't believe me" -
"No, I mean, you're cute and all but, I've seen how she acts with others, and I can't believe someone would get together with her" -
"Trust me, gaining her affection wasn't easy, she's very demanding and has a pretty tough exterior, but she's rather cute once you actually get to meet her" -
"Is that so? Then I'm glad you managed to find someone you can share your life with" -
"And what about you Akali? Do you have any interest in someone?" -
"There's one guy, his name is Shieda Kayn, but he's... Crazy" -
"Crazy huh? Been there done that, many times actually" -
"He's a member of the Brotherhood of Shadows and uses a scythe that seems to be alive, he even talks to it" -
"Talking to his own weapon? At least none of mine did something like that" -
"Really? What did yours did?" -
"Let's just say mine were... Weirder" - Ritsuka said, remembering his first meeting with people such as Kiara and BB.
"You look like you remembered something that- Wait, look at that!" -
Together, Akali and Ritsuka managed to find a small Noxian group, composed of 5 soldiers. They were camping, studying a map of Ionia.
"Just what we were looking for, ready to test your skill against them?" - said Akali as she prepared her weapons.
"Always ready" - even with no weapons, he was confidant he could take on this soldiers. After all, he defeated roman and babylonian soldiers.
Jumping from the shadows of the tree's top, the two managed a surprise attack on the distracted soldiers. With the element of surprise on their hand, the battle was a short one.
The soldiers tried to reach their weapons in time, but it was for naught. The agility of both attackers managed to make quick work of them.
One of the soldiers managed to grab his weapon, yet Ritsuka was quick in knocking it out of his hand before slashing him across the face with it, ending the Noxian's life.
Akali, using her smoke circle and her assassin techniques was able to quickly take down 3 soldiers, leaving but one of them alive.
"Any last words?" - said Akali as she pointed a kunai at his throat." -
"W-Wait! I have important information! Please don't kill me!" - the man yelled.
"Important? How so?" - asked the assassin.
"There are 2 more patrols, they're planning on leaving tomorrow and get more supplies from Noxus. They're at the west shore!" -
The information was valuable. With it, they had a chance of preventing, or at least slowing down, a third invasion.
"We need to tell the others about this" -
"Of course. Let's make haste to the village" -
As Akali and Ritsuka tried to leave, the Noxian soldier stood up and tried to run away, yet without looking, Akali threw a kunai at his neck, quickly ending his life.
"The Noxians really want to control Ionia, any guess as to why?" -
"Couldn't tell, maybe they're just that desesperate to expand to other places in Runeterra, I certantly wouldn't put it past them" -
"Whatever the case, I'll contact some of my friends that can fly, they can surely take us there fast" -
"Huh, your group is one of the strangest I've ever seen" -
"You have no idea " -
