Awakening to their first day on the island, the trio awakens thirsty, so they decide to venture deep into the island to find any source of water they can.
After eating the moose and falling asleep, Ritsuka woke up first, seeing the other two girls fast asleep next to him. As he opened his mouth to wake them up, he noticed he had his throat sore. He was thirsty, and very.
He wanted to go and look for water, but the girls were still asleep and he didn't wanted to leave them alone, so he waited 'til they waked up before telling them.
"Yes, I'm thirsty as well, let's try and get some water" - Mash said.
As the 3 left the cave, they decided to once again, go to the forest and search for a lake for water.
"I have to say, this is a pretty nice island, the weather isn't too hot nor cold, perfect if you ask me" - Ritsuka said as he was walking in front of the two girls.
"Senpai, wait, let me lead the road" - Mash said as she put herself on the front - "Your shield needs to be ready to fight at a moment's notice after all" -
"Then I'll defend your back, we can't have enemies landing surprise attacks on Master" - Castoria said as she got closer to him.
"Girls, calm down, we're just going to get water" -
"Sorry senpai, but now that I got my powers back, I have the intention to fully protect you during this journey. With me here, no harm will come your way" - Mash announced proudly.
Meanwhile, Castoria looked at her, angry.
"Who does she think she is? I took this journey along with Fujimaru just so I could confess, and she just decided to tag along at the last possible second! Calm down me, calm down... This is fine, I can still be alone with him and confess" - the blonde Caster thought to herself.
As they passed through the forest, they saw the mountain located on the east side of the island.
"Imagine if we could build a house on the side, would make for a great place to live while we search for the Grail" - Ritsuka noted.
"With windows to see the morning sun, that sounds great" - Mash said, excited about the idea.
"I think that we should first focus on finding stable water and food, then we can think about building. Besides, the cavern is fine for the moment" - Castoria said.
After a while walking, they finally reached a small lake and the water seemed clean enough, but when they got close, a demonic boar showed up and noticed them.
"Artoria, join me, we'll have to protect senpai" - Mash said as she summoned her shield.
"Very well, let's team up" - Castoria summoned her staff.
The boar charged at them, but both girls and Ritsuka dodged.
"Castoria, Mash, use this!" -
Using the Chaldea Combat Mystic Code, he buffed both of them, so Mash used this, hitting the boar in the head using her shield while Castoria shot with several rings of magic energy, making the boar pull back a few steps.
Castoria jumped in the air and hit the boar several times with her staff and Mash dived him against the animal, knocking it out with one good hit.
"That worked well enough" - the pink haired kouhai said - "Thanks, we make a good team" -
"Yes, we work good together" -
While the girls smiled at each other, Ritsuka decided to take a small zip at the water to test if it was safe. Luckily for him, it seemed to be.
"Mash, it's safe to drink" - the boy said as his kouhai got close and started to grab water with her hands and drink it.
As they finished, the two girls grabbed the boar and carried it back to their cave so they could eat later, all while Ritsuka was thinking about possible locations as to where the Grail could be located.
"Maybe there is an underground system and the Grail is down there" - the boy said to himself - "Or there could be a temple hiding deep within the island, or something in the mountains" -
"Senpai, we can search for the Grail later, for now let's try to rest, we're all alone in this island after all" - Mash said smiling.
"Don't forget I'm still here, don't do anything weird" - Castoria got their attention.
"Sorry, I'll find something we can do together" - Ritsuka said to both girls - "How about a little swim on the beach?" -
"That sounds nice, but we didn't brought any clothes for Master, so if he gets wet..." -
"Don't worry, I'll swim on my underwear" - Fujimaru interrupted Castoria.
Both girls stopped advancing for a moment, but resumed their travel, albeit flustered about their Master's comment.
After they got back to the cave, they dropped the boar inside and went to prepare for swimming.
Ritsuka got behind a rock and took off his Mystic Code while Mash shifted to her swimsuit and Castoria made one for herself.
After which, their Master came in his underwear, letting his muscles show, proving that all the training with Servants like Scáthatch and Leonidas gave good results. This caused the girls to blush a bit when they saw it.
As they all got inside the water and started to swim, Ritsuka lamented not having a beachball or something to play, but he was happy being able to enjoy this peaceful time with both of his Servants.
Mash and Castoria started to splash water at each other and Fujimaru all while laughing, they also started to dive as deep as they could, but none went too far as the darkness of the sea at night was scary to them.
After that small bit of fun, they returned to the cave, put on their clothes back and started a fire to cook the boar, eat it and then sleep.
During the night, Castoria, half asleep, noticed how Ritsuka was hugging Mash and holding her closer to him, which made the girl hurt a bit, but she kept it to herself. After all, all she needed was a single chance to confess.
She knew how he felt, all she needed was to take the big step...
