Asami is Aang's older sister and the Avatar's Protector. She was proud and honored to be the Protector, but being the Protector meant making a few sacrifices. Refusing to make them, Asami run away with Aang and got frozen with him in the ice. After waking up, Asami knew her duty as Protector was beginning, especially when a banished prince showed up.

When another impossible mission takes Zuko away from home, Azula sends him off with a single promise: to keep Ozai from learning the truth about what happened in Ba Sing Se.
