This year we're doing crossovers for all seven days of Halloween, which means a couple of "repeats" for fandoms, but I think it will be a whole lot of fun. At the very least, I hope I can do something that I enjoy with each of these crossovers.
Day 1 (Oct. 25th)- Teen Titans and X-Men
Day 2 (Oct. 26th)- Ducktales and Big Hero 6
Day 3 (Oct. 27th)- The Good Place and Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist
Day 4 (Oct. 28th)- Teen Titans and The Owl House
Day 5 (Oct. 29th)- Gravity Falls and Lilo and Stitch
Day 6 (Oct. 30th)- Gravity Falls and The Owl House
Day 7 (Oct. 31st)- Gravity Falls and Over The Garden Wall
I do not remember how I came up with this idea but I had it lying around in my brain when I decided to write this fic. Gave me a great deadline to catch up on The Owl House. Since the rest of Season 2 isn't out yet I kind of had to leave this fic on a cliffhanger but I'll probably write a follow-up when we know more.
Optional Additional Reading: Avenging The Titans, Cheesy Halloween Stuff, An Almost Anniversary, The Halloween Crossover, those are all my other Teen Titans Halloween fics in order. The Halloween Crossover gets specifically mentioned.
Also, today is my birthday so review I guess?
Enjoy!
"It's finally starting to feel like a normal Halloween," Beast Boy said, as the group carved pumpkins to spruce up the place.
"What are you talking about?" Raven asked, leaning against him a little as she carved. She'd gotten a lot more comfortable with physical intimacy the almost two years they'd been dating.
"I had this weird dream that the guy I dressed up as for Halloween two years ago was celebrating Halloween with us like we were all part of some fanfiction or something. We didn't even dress up in a group costume. We always dress up in a group costume!"
"Weird," Rae commented.
"Yeah, weird," Starfire agreed, sticking a handful of pumpkin guts in her mouth. She'd kind of missed the point of jack-o'-lanterns, but at least she was having fun.
"Well, this isn't some fanfiction. I'm sure we're going to have a normal Halloween, though I still can't believe you agreed to be Scooby-Doo," Raven said.
"Someone had to be the dog, Velma," Beast Boy said with a shrug, getting distracted by her pumpkin and reaching toward it.
"Hey, Rae, that's a cool effect," Beast Boy said, nodding at her eerie glowing pumpkin.
"Huh? I didn't, wait, don't touch that!" Raven shouted, barely snatching at his arm before he was pulled into the pumpkin portal. She fell in afterward and Star dove after the pair, eyes glowing.
The door swung open as the portal began to die out, "We got the cider! Guys? Guys?!"
Robin dropped a mug of apple cider as he hastily looked around the balcony for their friends.
"Where'd they go?" He demanded, and Victor raised a hand to point at the pumpkin as the ominous glow winked out.
"We'd better call the Justice League," Robin said worriedly.
"We'd better make sure nothing comes out of that portal other than our friends," Cyborg said grimly.
Beast Boy, Raven, and Starfire tumbled through the pumpkin portal, like Alice falling down into wonderland. It might as well have been wonderland, the world they landed in was some fantastical distortion of reality.
"Where are we?" Beast Boy wondered, jumping to his feet and offering a hand to Raven. Raven ignored him.
"Wherever we are, we wouldn't be here if you'd listened to me and hadn't touched it."
"How was I supposed to know that it was a portal to another reality?! I thought we were having a normal Halloween!"
"Guys-" Starfire started.
"Not right now!" The couple snapped as they continued to argue.
"Guys!" Starfire said more insistently.
"What?" Raven asked.
"Someone is coming," Starfire said, her eyes and hands glowing, ready to defend them from any threat.
Raven held her breath and Beast Boy seemed to shrink away. They were not expecting what they saw next, a masked older man in an academic robe.
"Why aren't you in your uniforms?" He tutted at the three.
"Uh… We're new students?" Beast Boy offered hesitantly. He could feel Raven glowering at him.
"Hm, I see. What are your names?"
"Gar," Beast Boy offered.
"Starfire."
"Raven," Raven muttered.
"I'm Principle Bump, and I'm getting… Beast keeping vibes from you, green one, and you, um, let's just say Potions, and you, Miss Raven, clearly the Oracle track." Principle Bump waved his hand and suddenly the three were in school uniforms instead of their superhero outfits.
"Now, I will get someone from your tracks to take you to your first classes of the day."
"What are you doing?" Raven hissed, grabbing Gar and pulling him to the side.
"We don't know what's going on and we don't know what they could do to us if we don't comply so we should go with this until we figure things out. Until we figure out how to get home. Maybe this will help, someone here has to know what's going on," Gar said.
He looked between Raven and Starfire, "I think we need to split up, gang."
Raven wanted to argue, she was terrified and she very much didn't want to be separated from her friends. That was the worst-case scenario in an unfamiliar world, but Gar seemed certain that going with the flow was their best option, and Starfire seemed ultimately unafraid.
Mere moments later, Beast Boy was being pulled away by a girl with a fishhook as an earring and Raven was being waved away by a girl whose head was a crescent moon. This place was strange...
A pink-haired girl with three eyes stopped in front of Starfire.
"Let's go, loser, I have places to be."
"My name's Starfire."
"I don't care," the girl said, adding, "I'm Boscha."
The next time Raven was able to locate her friends again was lunch. She still didn't know exactly what was going on but this was some kind of magic school for witches and demons, and it was pretty easy to see why the principal had thought that they were students.
She spotted Beast Boy and the girl he had left with, who was running her hands through his hair and talking with two green-haired twins and a dog-like student Raven half recognized from the oracle track.
"Get your hands off of him," Raven said, barging over and yanking him away.
"Whoa, chill, witch," The girl said, rolling her eyes in a way Raven did not appreciate.
"Ah, Viney, this is my girlfriend, Raven. Raven, this is Viney, her girlfriend Emira, Emira's brother Edric, and Barcus."
Viney's eyes widened, "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, if someone was getting touchy with Em I'd freak out too. But don't worry, I was not flirting with your boyfriend."
"He's just so fluffy," Em said, "And he's got such a cool party trick. Can you do it again?"
"I don't know if I should… The beast-keeping teacher was a little weirded out by it."
"Aw come on, please? For us? We're your friends, dude," Edric said, Barcus barking in agreement.
"Gar," Raven said, "We have got to get out of here, back to our real friends. We don't have time for this, we need to find Starfire."
"Yeah, I know we have to get home, but these people could help us, you know that, right?"
"If you do the thing we'll tell you where we last saw your Star friend," Em said. Raven's blood was boiling but Beast Boy didn't seem to mind the extortion.
"Cover me," Beast Boy mumbled, and Edric and Emira twirled their fingers and caused a distraction on the other side of the cafeteria with their illusion magic. Of course, Raven didn't know it was illusion magic, she just knew that these witches were using her boyfriend as free entertainment, oohing and ahhing as he turned into a mouse and then a falcon and then himself.
"Gar, can we please try to find Starfire and get out of here?"
"Yeah, of course, uh, you said you knew where Starfire was?" He clearly trusted these strangers for whatever reason.
"Oh yeah, she's over there with our little sister and the human." That caught her attention.
"There's a human here?!"
"Yeah, over there, with your friend."
Raven grabbed his hand and together they rushed over towards Starfire.
"Oh, my friends! Luz, Gus, Willow, Amity, these are my friends Gar and Raven. My besties."
Raven stared at Luz, "You're a human."
Luz laughed, "Guilty as charged."
"We're from the human world too- how do we get back?"
Luz's smile disappeared then, "Forget that, how did you get here?!"
"We fell through a portal in a jack-o-lantern," Gar said.
"...I've heard weirder things," Luz admitted, after processing that.
"So how do we get home?" Raven asked.
"I can take you to Eda in the Owl House, but… To be honest, that's kind of something I'm trying to figure out myself. But I can help- I'll help!"
"Starfire mentioned something about an owl house in my dream the other day," Gar murmured to himself before turning his attention to his girlfriend.
Darkness seemed to emanate from Raven as she fell to her knees.
"Rae, Raven? What's wrong? Rae!" Beast Boy crouched next to her as she began to sob.
"We're stuck here! We're stuck here and there's no way out and I can't save us. Why aren't you freaking out? Why aren't you losing it? We're trapped in another world without our friends and we have no way of getting home. It's only a matter of time before everything goes to hell."
"I am scared," Gar said, "But what isn't scary? At least we're together, we have each other, and we have new friends, too. We're going to get home together. We're going to figure this out like we always do."
"Why aren't you freaking out? Raven demanded again, sniffling.
"I'm freaking out," Gar said, slowly rubbing her back, "But our lives have been weird for a long time, Rae. At least here… I feel kind of normal. We're not the only freaks here. And we're gonna get back to our world, back to our weirdos. I'm sure they're trying to find us from their end, we just can't give up doing the same on this side. Okay?" He offered her a hand, helping her up, and when she was on two feet she flung her arms around him and buried her face into his neck.
"Why couldn't this be a normal Halloween?" She demanded.
"Unfortunately, weird is our normal."
