For a month Seth and Roman have been going out on dates. They have been enjoying each other's company in and out of the Performance Center. The hand holding and the kisses. It was amazing. The two went out that night for a bite to eat. "Ro, I love going out with you. This past month has been amazing and I never want it to end. There is something I want to tell you. I'll understand if you never want to see me again, but I don't feel right not telling you." Seth said to Roman. He was terrified to tell Roman about his past, but he needed to take a leap of faith.
"Okay…. Seth, you are scaring me. Nothing you tell me can change how I feel for you. I really like you Seth. You can tell me anything." Roman said to Seth. Roman wanted Seth to be able to tell him anything, good or bad. He wanted to be there for the young man that he has grown to love.
"Remember how I told you that my indie career turned out to be the worst time of my life?" Seth asked Roman.
"I do." Roman responded.
"In the beginning I loved working the indie circuit. I met some really great people, people who taught me a lot. Then I met a young guy, he was four years older than me. His name was Marek Brave. He took me under his wing when I was eighteen. Marek had helped me and then we became tag partners. It became more than just tag partners and when I was eighteen, we got married. We hadn't really dated much, and I guess that was my fault. In the time that we were married, Marek changed. He became abusive, and didn't like that I wrestled individual matches because he thought I was flirting with other guys. Hell, he didn't like it when I talked to other people. It all started when Hunter, your dad, was at one of the matches. We ended up talking most of the night. He was my favorite wrestler growing up. The next day, Marek was pissed at me. That was the first time that he raped me. He dragged me up the stairs to our room and he had his way with me. I tried to stop it, but there was nothing I could do to get him to stop. It then happened almost every day from there on out. He told me I was only his whore, and I started to believe him. Everyone loved Marek. He put on a face that made everyone swoon over him and I knew that no one would believe a word I would say if I tried to tell anyone what he was doing to me. Then everything changed. It wasn't just me I had to worry about anymore. After a few weeks of being sick I found out I was pregnant. I knew if I stayed with Marek we both would be dead. So I left. I ran away from the only home I ever knew and came down here to Florida. I sent Marek divorce papers without him knowing where I was, and had my daughter nine months later. The only people who knew anything were Dean and Hunter. Dean and I met several times at different shows we were both wrestling at. He helped me leave. Hunter of course knew. He found out what Dean was doing for me, and he helped me as well. I had nothing since Marek took everything and left me with nothing so I could never leave." Seth finally told Roman everything. He had to if he wanted to continue on with this new relationship with Roman. Roman deserved to know that he went home to someone every night and they depended on him. Seth was just hoping that he didn't scare him away. He knew Roman said that he couldn't be scared away, but he didn't know everything until now.
Roman didn't say anything, instead he gave Seth a hug. A hug that meant more than words themselves. "Seth, I want you to listen to me, I am happy you told me about you, all of you. I can't believe that someone who said they loved you would ever hurt you in that way. I'm telling you right now I will never hurt you, and would never do anything to harm you in such a way. I know your trust in men is low and I can't blame you. Mine would be too. I wish I had known you before so I could have saved you from this heartache you didn't deserve, no one does. I would like to be the man that shows you that there are better people in the world, and can love you the way that you deserve to be loved." Roman said, looking Seth in his eyes. He truly meant every word.
Seth smiled and said "But I have a daughter to an abusive rapist." He was afraid that Roman wouldn't love her because she was someone else's.
Roman nodded. "A daughter, and I would be more than happy to love her too if you gave me a chance."
"How can you be so sure?" Seth asked.
"Because three people took a chance with a four year old boy who they had only met one night, and loved me from that moment on. It doesn't matter if she is my blood or not Seth. My family isn't my blood, but it doesn't make me love them any less. I saw for a brief second that one day you brought your daughter into the Performance Center. She looked just like you. I know what it is like to have a two year old running around, I do. My youngest sister just turned two. If she is anything like her, we will get along just great." Roman said to Seth.
Taking Roman's hand, Seth said "Come with me. I want to take you somewhere." Roman followed Seth, and Seth drove to his place. It was an apartment building. Getting out of the car, Roman followed Seth in doing so. Taking his hand again, Seth told Roman to follow him. When they got to his apartment, Seth told Roman to wait inside and that he would be right back. About five minutes later, Seth came in with a little girl wrapped up in his arms. "Ro, I would like you to meet Addison Lee Rollins. She's my heart and soul. Addie, this is Roman. Can you please say hi?" Seth introduced them.
The little girl was intrigued. She wanted to see Roman, and so Seth put her down. He walked her over to the couch to sit beside Roman. She put her hand on his face. She smiled and ran her hand over his beard. "Hi Wowan." Addie then softly said to Roman.
"Hi Ms. Addison. I think you like my beard huh." Roman said to the little girl who wouldn't let it go.
She nodded and then climbed up into Roman's lap and then touched his hair. Soft, she said. Roman couldn't help but to laugh. She then pulled on Roman's hair for it to come out of the bun he was wearing. "Addie!..." Seth began to say before Roman told him that it was okay.
They sat there and talked and Roman held Addison like she was indeed his own. Never minding that the little girl went and brought him all her dolls to show him, and told him each one of their names, even if they were all named dollie. As the two men talked, Addison fell asleep and was drooling on Roman. "I am so sorry. I can take her. She is drooling on you." Seth was nervous, he didn't want anything to happen to make Roman uncomfortable.
"Seth, it's okay. It's just drool. She's two. I have had way worse on me than drool. Plus she is out like a light. I'm not worried about anything. She can sleep here. That's if you don't mind?" Roman said to Seth. The little girl was attached to him, and not just because she was holding his hair in her tiny fist. Addison really took a liking to the Samoan.
"How are you even real?" Seth said to the Samoan man sitting beside him.
"I'm just me Seth. This is who I am. Dean describes me as a nerd, loyal, honorable and I love with my whole heart. He describes perfectly minus being a nerd." Roman answered. He is all those things, and he is proud of who he is. His mom and dad raised him and Dean to be that way.
"She likes you. She never goes to sleep that quickly." Seth said to Roman all the while looking at his baby girl. Roman knew that something was going through Seth's head though. He could tell by the look on his face.
"Seth, what is going through that head of yours? I can see that you are thinking something from the expression on your face." Roman was concerned.
"I'm afraid, Ro." Seth said in a softer voice.
"Talk to me baby boy. I can't help you if you don't tell me what is going on." Roman has never seen Seth like this.
"He'll come for her. I don't care what happens to me, since I got myself into this situation, but I can't let him take her. Trust me he will try. He will find out sooner or later, and he will know she is my weakness." Seth said to Roman. He had tears in his eyes. Seth knew that he could only run so far and at some point his past will come to haunt him. He just has to protect his only good thing that he ever did right.
"Seth, look at me. If he comes back, he will not take Addison away from you. Dean will not allow it, Hunter, dad won't allow it, and I sure as hell will not give her up. I will fight for you and this beautiful little girl." Roman said to Seth. He was telling him the truth. He will fight for Seth and Addison.
"You will do that for us? For her?" Seth couldn't believe what he was hearing.
"Yes Seth I would. I don't even have to think about it." Roman answered.
Seth hugged Roman the best he could with Roman holding his daughter. "How did I get so lucky to have caught your eye?" He asked the man sitting beside him.
Laughing Roman said "I ask myself the same question about you." Seth smiled and kissed the Samoan he was proud to call his own.
"I know it has been only a month, but I think I am falling in love with you Roman. I know it's early, and probably too soon. I probably just scared you. I'm sorry." Seth said to the man beside him. He really needs to learn to shut his damn mouth.
"Seth, I have loved you from our first date. I am so glad to hear you say that. I was too afraid to voice how I felt. I didn't want to scare you away." Roman was relieved to know that Seth felt the same way he did.
Later that night Roman and Seth together gave Addie a bath and put her to bed. She started crying. "Hey baby girl what's wrong?" Roman crouched down to the little girl.
"No wo. No wo." Addie was reaching out for him and Seth.
Crawling into the little bed fitting for a little girl, Roman and Seth sat together holding the two year old. She quickly snuggled up to her daddy and Roman. "We'll leave when she falls asleep." Roman quietly said to Seth, and Seth nodded. Seth couldn't believe that Roman was willing to spend his night with his little girl until she was asleep. He couldn't have been more happy with the sight before him.
When they were finally able to leave, and Addie was asleep, they walked out of the room. "Thank you for staying with her until she was asleep. She really likes you. The only men she likes are Dean and Hunter." Seth said to Roman.
"I'm glad she likes me. I like her. I always wanted kids, but I started to give up on the idea when I didn't find the right person." Roman said to Seth.
"I'm sure there are loads of guys you could have chosen from." Seth said back.
"No one that liked me for me. It's hard to find someone who wants to be with you for who you are, and not because of your family and your looks. I love to read. I like to go to bed and read a good book. I am dedicated to the person in a relationship. Most people think I am too clingy and that reading is stupid. All the people that wanted to go out with me wanted me for my family connections and because I looked good standing beside them. They never wanted my love or anything that I was into." Roman said in a sad tone. It was true. That's why he never dated anyone.
"Well if it makes you feel better, I love to read. I have books that are my absolute favorite and I have read them more than once. I love reading to Addison. Most importantly I love you for you. I would never dream of taking advantage of you. I love all your qualities, and everything that makes you who you are. I wish I would have met you when I was eighteen." Seth replied to Roman. He never knew that people would hurt this beautiful man in front of him to better themselves.
Roman then kissed Seth, and Seth was taken aback, but then quickly kissed Roman back with the same amount of love. Breaking the kiss, Seth grabbed Roman's hand and led them to the room right up from the little girl's room. Once inside, Seth kissed Roman again. "Seth, we don't have to do this. I don't want to rush into anything and I don't want to rush you or anything." Roman wanted this, but he wasn't the kind of guy to push anyone into sex. He respected the other person too much.
"Ro I know you would never do anything to hurt me, or do anything I didn't want, but I'm ready if you are. If you don't want to, I understand." Seth said to Roman. He didn't want to push the other man into anything.
With that being said Roman kissed the young man again, and this time he didn't stop. He gently laid Seth on his bed and looked down at him. The two men were making out, when Seth initiated more, and Roman was okay with that. Roman slowly peeled Seth's shirt off of him and went back to kissing the younger man. He was kissing his neck and any bare skin that he could.
Seth was liking it. He couldn't control the moans that he was emitting. The two men were in a heated makeout session and grinding on one another. Both men were now shirtless and wanting more. "Ro, please. I...I need more." Seth said, looking up at the most beautiful man leaning over him. Roman was undoing his pants, when he looked up at Seth. The younger man gave him a nod and Roman took off Seth's pants and laid them on the floor. Roman then went to work on Seth, making the smaller man moan even louder. Roman could tell that Seth was enjoying himself. Seth then got up and switched places with the Samoan. It was his turn to make Roman moan loud, and that is exactly what he did. Once their playing was over, and both men were heaping, moaning mess, Roman got what he needed from Seth and together they made their love known to each other. "I...I never knew it could feel that good before." Seth said to Roman when they were done making love to each other.
"It should always feel that good baby boy. I wouldn't know though since you were my first, but from what I am always told, you shouldn't hurt the ones you love." Roman said back to Seth. He just admitted that Seth was the first man that he has ever been with. He was afraid to just give it to anyone, he wanted it to mean something, and god was he happy he waited for the right person.
Realizing what Roman had said to him, Seth braced himself on his one arm and looked at Roman. "Wait, did you just tell me that I was your first?" Seth couldn't believe it.
Blushing again, Roman nodded. He was embarrassed now. It's not like he never touched himself or anything, but it was his first time with anyone.
"Are you sure you're real?" Seth asked the question again from earlier. He couldn't believe that he had found the perfect man in his world of hurt.
"Mom told Dean and I that it was a special thing, and that you should never just give it up to anyone, the whole sex talk thing when you are a teenager. I have lived by that. I never wanted to just be with anyone. I know what sex is and I have experimented with myself, but never with anybody. Tonight proved that I was right and waited until I found the right person, because it was amazing and I love you Seth." Roman told Seth his belief in waiting. It made him feel good knowing that Seth didn't make fun of him, but was looking at him with such love.
"I didn't think it was possible, but I love you even more Roman Reigns." Seth said and kissed his boyfriend again.
"You keep kissing me like this, we are going to go for round two." Roman said back to Seth. That is exactly what happened, the young couple went for round two, and then blissfully fell asleep together that night.
