The last six months have been amazing. Seth and Roman were inseparable. They did everything together and that included Addison, the light of both Seth and Roman's eye. She was their everything. Dean and Renee, Dean's long time girlfriend, and now fiance moved beside their old house and into a new one. That way they were never far from their family, he lived right beside them actually. Roman had this entire house now to himself and he knew just what to do. "Hey baby, how are you today? Hi my beautiful girl." Roman asked his boyfriend, who he loves very much, and to the little girl who was reaching out to him.
Smiling, Seth responded, "We're great, how are you?" Seth kissed his man, yeah he said it, his man. Seth then handed Roman his little girl.
"Waddy, Waddy!" The little girl was so happy to see Roman.
Both men stopped and looked at each other. It was the first time that Addie had called Roman daddy. "I'm sorry Seth. I promise I never told her to call me that." Roman was quickly mumbling out an apology.
"Roman, baby, it's okay. I just didn't think she would say it. I'm not mad, trust me, I am excited that she called you daddy, but there is only one problem with that." Seth reassured his boyfriend.
"You are? I'm happy she sees me like that. I call her my baby girl all the time. I just don't want to take away from you. What's your concern?" Roman asked.
"She already calls me daddy. So if she calls us both daddy, how will we know which one of us she is talking to?" Seth asked Roman. He never had to go through this before and he didn't know what to do.
"Oh, I see what you are saying. I don't know." Roman answered back. Just then he sees his mom walking towards her office. "Mom!' Roman called out to his mom. "Just the person we need." Roman said to her when he caught up to her.
"Roman baby, Seth honey, is everything okay?" Steph was looking at her boy and hopefully her soon to be son in law. Hey, a woman could hope.
"Yeah everything is good. We have a question for you is all." Seth said to his boss and mother of his boyfriend. Steph nodded for them to continue. "Addie here took Ro and I for a surprise and called Ro daddy. The only problem with that is, she calls me daddy. How will we know which of us she wants if she calls us both daddy?" Seth asked.
She smiled at the small family. She was so happy. "Well the next best thing to do is to come up with a name for her to call Roman. Like dada or Papa. She is still young enough to learn a new word and for it to stick. I personally like Papa." Stephanie said to the two young boys.
Both men smiled. They liked the name that Roman's mom came up with. "Thanks mom. You're the best." Roman said to his mom thanking her for the advice.
"Would you like me to watch Ms. Addie while you two go train? I hear that you two and Dean are moving up onto the main card on NXT." Stephanie said to the boys.
"Mrs. Helmsley if you want to hold Addie you only have to ask. It wouldn't be the first time you have helped me out." Seth smiled at the lady. He really liked Stephanie a lot. She was always looking out for him.
"No Mrs. Helmsley stuff, it's anything other than Mrs. Helmsley. It's too professional. We're family honey, and I would love to watch her any day you need me too." Stephanie said to Seth. She loved watching Addie. She played with her two year old daughter, and they were becoming friends.
That day, the three boys did their workout and then got in the ring. They were working on some things that they wanted to get down perfectly when Hunter came over. "Boys, come over here. I need to speak to you immediately."
"Dad, what is it?" Dean said as he and Seth and Roman went to the side of the ring to see what their dad wanted.
"You three are making your debut on NXT tomorrow. So I need you three to get ready. Dean, Seth, are you guys good?" They nodded. They have been doing the wrestling thing in front of crowds for years now. It wouldn't be that much different. Hunter then turned to his oldest boy. "Roman, I am more worried about you. Are you ready to go?" Roman really never did the indie scene. He was seen as a pretty boy that no one wanted to put on the card.
"Dad, I have been wrestling with you and uncle Shawn since I was four. For someone my size, I can do unthinkable things, and thanks to Dean and Seth I am learning new submission moves. I'm good to go, but thanks for being worried about me." Roman was thankful that his dad was worried about him. He could have just easily just thrown him out there.
"Roman, I'm not worried about your skills. They are just as perfect as anyone's. I am worried about the fans. You haven't really wrestled in front of fans before." Roman knew what his dad was saying. Fans can be great, but they can also be ruthless.
"I'm ready." Roman answered back. Hunter nodded at the three boys. He knew they were ready based on their skills, but it was more than that. He didn't want his boys to be chewed up and spit out by the fans. If they don't like you, they will let you know it.
The next night was the night that they had been waiting for. It was finally go time for the three boys, and they couldn't have been more excited. The three came out together in tactical gear and known as the Shield. The three guys really got into this and made it their own. Together they won their first match and the fans went crazy for all of them. It was a good night. They were riding high all night. Things couldn't be more perfect. Nothing could derail them, or so they thought.
The next day, Seth, Roman and Addie were hanging out with Dean and Renee. Roman and Seth loved spending time together with their little girl, yep, their little girl. It wasn't official. Roman hadn't adopted her, but Roman had taken to the little girl like she was his own. They were talking about how great their night was last night. Everything was great until the front door of the Performance Center opened and in walked one man. "Hi Seth."
Seth stood frozen and wrapped his arms tighter around his daughter. 'This can't be happening. Not now. He wasn't ready to face him, not even with Roman standing beside him.' Seth thought to himself. "Seth, look at me, he isn't going to hurt you or Addison. I promise." Roman said, looking at his boyfriend.
Seth was having trouble breathing. He was terrified. Why was he here? He can't just walk in here, unless he works here. Walking up to the small group, the man held out his hand for Roman to shake, "My name is Marek Brave." He introduced himself to the Samoan, and then turned to Dean and said "Dean." Then he went and looked at Seth, "I've missed you baby." He knew what he was doing, but he also knew that they couldn't do anything to him.
"I know who you are. It is in your best interest to walk the fuck away before anything happens." Roman said in Marek's face.
"I see what is going on here." Marek said to the group looking at Seth and Roman. "Seth found a new love interest. I hate to break it to ya kid, but he always comes back to me. You see we've played this game before and he always comes back. He just likes to make me jealous." Marek said back to Roman. "I'll be seeing you around Seth." Marek walked away and was greeted by some of the staff that works at the Performance Center.
"I um...I have to go. I can't do this today. I'm sorry Ro." Seth said as he grabbed his bag and left with their daughter. Seth needed to get away. Roman asked Seth and Addie to move in with him, and they had said yes. He had to pack up his apartment and so instead of hanging around and seeing Marek, he decided that he would go home and pack more to get ready to move.
The next day Roman and Seth walk into the Performance Center together. Ro didn't like the idea of Seth being alone now that Marek was around. "Thanks mom for watching Addie again." Roman said to his mom.
"It's a pleasure. Seth, I want to know if anything happens with Marek. My father hired him and never told Hunter or I about this. We are sorry and if anything happens, we want to know about it. He has instructions to stay away from you, Roman, Renee and Dean. If he doesn't then he will be fired.
We are not in the business of making life uncomfortable for you in any way." Stephanie said to Seth letting him know that he has their full support in this. That they are willing to do anything to make sure that he is okay.
"Thank you Steph. It means a lot to me that you and Hunter are helping me with this. I mean that. I don't know what I would do without you two." Seth said, giving the lady a hug.
"Anything Seth. I mean it. Hunter and I don't like him. We think he is cocky and that isn't what we want here. So please, anything. You come to us, day or night. You know where we live." Just as Steph was about to walk to her office, she turns around and says "Oh and I hear that you are moving in with my son. If you need help with packing or moving, we'll help." The motherly figure said to Seth.
"I can't wait to move in with Ro. Finally get to be together all the time, and closer to friends and family." Seth said in return with a smile on his face.
The boys then went and did a cross fit workout, and then got in the ring to work out what they wanted to do next week on NXT. Marek stayed away from them and it surprised Seth. He thought that Marek would make his life miserable, but maybe he got the message that Stephanie and Hunter told him. One can hope.
That night, the whole family went out to dinner. They were all laughing and having fun. Renee and Dean were adorable and Seth couldn't believe that Dean had finally asked Renee to marry him. They had met at one of the indie shows that Seth and Dean were at and the two had hit it off quickly and now after three years, they were going to tie the knot. Looking over to his left, sitting beside him was his wonderful boyfriend and their daughter. Roman was feeding Addie mashed potatoes and chicken. She was wearing a lot of it and Roman had it all over his face. They were laughing, and in between bites, Roman would eat some of his meal. It made his heart fill with even more love.
After dinner, Seth and Roman decided to go back to Seth's apartment to pack up more stuff in Addison's room. After Seth gave her a bath and Roman taking out more boxes to his car, they put their baby girl down for bed. Once Seth read her a story, the two men found their way to Seth's room in their heavy makeout session. Roman laid Seth down on his bed and he spent the night fucking Seth into his bed.
Early the next morning, Roman left, but not before giving Seth a kiss. Addison wasn't up yet, but he would see her in a little at the Performance Center. Seth walked Roman out and kissed him again saying that he will see him in two hours at the Performance Center.
As Seth was gathering his bag and Addie's bag, there was a knock on the door. As he opened the door, he saw it was Marek. He quickly slammed the door closed and ran, but he wasn't quick enough. Marek caught him and threw him into the nearest wall, including his daughter. Addison was screaming/crying, and Seth was in a lot of pain, but he found it in him to crawl over to his little girl. He laid himself over her, protecting her from Marek's kicks. Marek then grabbed Seth, picking him up off the little girl. Addie was still crying, and Marek kicked the little girl and she fell silent. Seeing his little girl not moving and quiet, he fought back until Marek slammed Seth's face into the wall. Seth saw black spots, and there was nothing that he could do. His face was instantly covered in blood from his face being smashed into the wall. The older man then kept beating and kicking the shit out of Seth. Marek then drug the young man to his room by his hair and threw him onto the bed, the same bed that he and Roman made love on the night before. "You think I wouldn't find you, you slut? Huh, those fucking divorce papers I recieved in the mail, do you think I wouldn't find you and destroy your life? You couldn't be a good fucking whore, and do as you were told. No, you had to run away from me. Now you're dead Seth. I won't let anyone else have you if I can't have you."
Seth was in so much pain. His head was busted open and his nose was broken, both wounds spilling blood. His whole body hurt so bad. He wanted to die and end all the pain and suffering. "Please Marek, stop this. I need to help Addison." Seth tried to kick Marek away, but he was in no shape to defend himself, let alone take care of his baby girl.
Marek looked down at Seth from where he was, and was laughing. "Oh Seth, I'm not stopping. I will do what I want. You should know that. Now be my good little whore." Marek continued to rip Seth's clothes off of him. Once he was fully naked, Marek raped Seth for the first time that day.
"No more, pl...please. Please Marek, let me go." Seth was crying and trying to get away, but the older man kept pulling him back. Marek kept hitting Seth. Marek tied Seth to the bed and gagged him and proceeded to rape him twice more that day.
Back at the Performance Center, Roman and Dean waited for Seth to show up. "Ro, he will be here. He might have gotten side tracked or something with Addie may have come up. Please stop pacing. That's my thing." Dean tried to reassure his brother that everything was okay, and that his boyfriend was going to be there, but he also couldn't help but to think something bad had happened. He can't shake the feeling.
"Dean, he is never late. He usually beats us here and you know that. Before I left him this morning, he told me that he would see me in two hours. He wouldn't just not show up. If something came up, he would have called me, Dean. I keep calling him and no answer. I have a bad feeling." Roman said back to his brother.
Seeing their father walk over, he hugged his two sons. "What's wrong?" Hunter said, looking at his two boys. He knows when something is wrong. They can't hide anything. He can read them like a book.
"It's been two hours, dad, and Seth isn't here yet. Roman and I think something has happened to him." Dean said to their dad.
"Let's go and find him. Roman I'm guessing you have called him." Hunter asked his son. Roman nodded his head. As they were walking out of the building, Steph catches up with them. "Steph, stay here." Hunter told his wife.
"Hunter, if something is wrong, please tell me." Hunter's wife and mother of his children said to him.
"There is no sign of Seth. Roman hasn't heard from him. We are going to go see what's going on, and I don't want you to get hurt. So please baby stay here." Hunter tried to reason with her. She walked past them and into their car. Hunter knew trying to get her to stay here was never going to happen, but he needed to try.
Once they got to Seth's apartment, nothing looked out of place. His car was still parked in the usual parking space. Going up to the door, Roman knocked "Seth, baby is everything okay?" Roman said, but there was no answer. Roman then tried the door, and found it unlocked, and that wasn't something Seth did. Seth always locked the door, so no one could come in or Addie couldn't get out. "Something is wrong dad. Seth never keeps the door unlocked." Roman said. Opening the door, they went into the apartment only to find the place trashed and blood on the wall. Running over to the wall, Roman quickly yelled "Mom, call 911 now!" In doing so, they saw the Samoan holding a very still little two year old Addison. Roman was crying. "She's breathing, but it isn't strong. Mom, hold her until the EMTs show up. We have to find Seth." Roman said to his mom.
Stephanie heard what her son said all the while still on the phone with 911. She held the little girl in her arms and was talking low to her when not answering questions. The dispatch said that the EMTs would be there shortly and that the police were on their way. Once she hung up the phone, she sat there wiping the blood off the little girl as best as she could.
Following the blood trail, it led the other three men to Seth's room. There on the bed, they found Seth gagged and tied to the bed, covered in blood and naked. Roman quickly went over to his boyfriend and started to untie him. "Seth, Seth can you hear me? I need you to wake up, baby, please." Roman was in tears again. He should have been here. He promised Seth that no one would hurt them, and he failed on his promise. Finally after getting the ties off of him and the gag out, Roman pulled Seth into his arms. "Sethie, please baby wake up. I need you to wake up." Roman kept saying over and over.
"Dean, I want you to stay here with your brother. I am going to wait for the cops and ambulance to get here." Hunter said to his son. Dean nodded and sat with his brother. Hunter walked out to see his wife cleaning his little grand baby up. "How is she Steph?" Hunter asked his wife.
"She's really banged up Hunter. She has a nasty wound on her head. It finally stopped bleeding, and she has multiple bruises on her. Someone really didn't care what happened to this little girl. Did you find Seth?" She asked.
Nodding, Hunter said "Yeah we found him. He's not doing well Steph. If something happens to him, Roman will never let it go." Hunter replied back. Just then, there were cops and EMTs pulling up to the house. "Here is Seth's daughter. Her name is Addison Rollins and she is two years old. Her father is in the back bedroom in terrible condition as well. He needs help now." Hunter walked back to the bedroom when he heard the sound of something breaking. "Roman, Roman that is enough!" His father yelled. He saw Dean getting up from apparently being pushed away. Hunter stepped in and took his oldest boy and drug him out into the hallway. "It's over Roman. Let the EMTs help Seth. He needs to go to the hospital." Hunter pulled his boy into an embrace. He didn't want Roman to see them taking Seth away urgently.
"I should have been here. I promised him that I would never let anything happen to him again. This is all my fault. I broke my promise." Roman cried into his dad's arms. He didn't know what to do. His daughter and boyfriend were headed to the hospital after someone beat the living hell out of them.
"This was not your fault Roman. Nothing you did was going to prevent this from happening. If you had been here, you too could have ended up just like Seth. Seth and your daughter need you now more than ever. They need you to be strong. Can you do that for them Roman? Can you be strong for them?" Hunter asked his son. Hunter felt powerless to do anything. He didn't know what to do, except that they had to get to the hospital and be there for Seth and Addison.
"Yeah dad, I can be strong for them. I will find that fucker who did this." Roman said to his dad. To be honest, he and Dean were going to help him. Marek couldn't have gotten far.
Once they arrived at the hospital, Roman was allowed to go see his daughter and boyfriend. Addie was going to be okay. "You're Addison's father?" The doctor said to Roman.
"Yes Sir, I am. How is she doing?" Roman asked the doctor. He didn't want to correct the doctor and risk him not being allowed to see her, so he left the doctor to think that he was her father.
"She took several kicks to the body and head. All the tests are good, her brain activity is normal. She will be sore for a while. Since she is little, she won't heal as fast. Also she has a broken right arm. It is already set in place and casted. So all we do is wait for it to heal, and that should take three months, maybe four." The nice doctor said to Roman. Roman had tears in his eyes. It could have been worse for his baby girl. She had gotten lucky, but he was glad. Someone was watching over her.
"Now as for your husband. He took much more punishment. He has bruises all over his body, but that isn't the bad part. Your husband was slammed face first into something hard, and it busted his head open at his hairline and it busted his nose. He was beaten some more. The bruises that he received were ones that come from a beating so bad that people usually don't survive those types of beatings. We also found traces of semen. Your husband was brutally raped multiple times. As we were doing our testing, we also found out that your husband was pregnant, not long, three weeks pregnant and from the beatings, he miscarried. I am so sorry for your loss, and for your husband. His injuries are bad, I won't lie. His heart did stop on the way here, but they brought him back. The good thing is, he's fighting, and he needs to continue to fight." The doctor talked to Roman all about what Seth had endured. Roman was crying again. There was nothing he could do, but to pray his boyfriend would make it, and that he would wake up.
"Thank you Doctor for everything that you have done for my family, but I must tell you, Seth isn't my husband. He's my boyfriend. I planned on asking him to marry me." Roman gave a small smile.
"You'll get your chance I believe. Keep him fighting Mr. Reigns." The doctor said and then walked off to check on other people.
Walking back to where his brother, Renee who finally got there, his mom and dad, and his three young sisters were all waiting to hear what was going on. Roman gave them a run down of how Seth and Addison were. That's when Hunter got a call. When he came back, Roman was holding one of his sisters. "It was the police station. They have not yet found Marek, but they are not going to give up. They will keep me informed on everything that is going on." Hunter said to his family.
The small family went out for a bite to eat. Roman didn't want to eat, he wasn't hungry. "Roman, honey, you need to eat. Not eating won't make you feel any better." Stephanie said to her son. She was worried about him. He was quiet and wouldn't eat. Hell he wasn't even looking at any of his family.
"I'm not hungry mom." That was all he had said to his mom. He didn't even look at her.
"Roman, listen to your mother. You need to eat. So pick something or I will." Hunter said to his son. When the waitress came back to take their orders, everyone placed their orders, except Roman. Hunter, like he said, picked something for his son to eat.
When the food came, Roman just looked at his plate. His dad had ordered him chicken alfredo. He couldn't eat it, and got up and went to the bathroom. Hunter excused himself from the table, and followed his son. There he heard him in one of the stalls throwing up. Hunter went in and rubbed his son's back. "Roman, you can't make yourself sick. This isn't healthy for you or for Seth and Addison who need you to be healthy and strong." Hunter kept rubbing his son's back until he was finished. "Now let's go out there and finish dinner." Hunter said to Roman, and his son nodded back.
Once back at the table, Roman picked at his food. He didn't eat it all, but he ate half and that was enough for his parents. Roman ended up taking the other half with him back to the hospital. There he was told that his daughter was awake. He had a smile on his face when he went to see her. "Wapa! Wapa!" Addison called out for him when she saw him. He smiled even wider. His little girl was happy to see him.
"Hi baby! Are you hungry?" Roman asked his baby girl. She nodded her little head that had a bandage on it. "Well I brought you chicken alfredo. I know you like it." He said back to his baby. She had a smile on her face. Roman sat there feeding his baby what was left of his meal. She enjoyed it more than he did, but she loved to eat, just like her daddy, and so it didn't surprise him that she ended up eating what was left. Roman stayed with her and read her a story, while the others went to see Seth so he wasn't alone.
Once the little girl was asleep, Roman went to see his boyfriend. "Hi baby boy. I miss you. I wish you would wake up. I know you are tired and in a lot of pain, but I need you to wake up, for me. I miss seeing your eyes, and I miss talking to you. You are my everything Seth, you and our baby girl." Roman was crying again. He just wanted his family back. He would do anything for his family to be back with him.
Later that night, Roman's family all left, telling him to call them if anything changes. Roman decided to stay with Seth. They told him that they would check in on Mrs. Hershey since Seth wouldn't be there to do it. Roman thanked them. Going back into the room, he talked to Seth more that night, and cried. Roman's life before he met his mom and dad was rough. It was hard to get through day to day. This feels like that all over again. Roman laid his head on his arm and was crying.
It had been a week since the incident. Marek was still running free. Roman was always seeing Seth, hoping that he would wake up. He had cried so much, but he couldn't help it. Addie was released and was spending quality time with her aunt Renee and uncle Dean. Roman was again talking to Seth about what trouble their little girl had gotten into when he started crying. He laid his head on his arm and cried, when he heard a voice he didn't think he would hear ever again. "Ro, don't cry."
Picking up his head, Roman was looking right into Seth's eyes. "Don't cry baby. I'm here. No more crying." Seth said with a hoarse voice. Roman kissed his boyfriend's lips. He was so happy to have his boyfriend awake.
"I have missed you so much Seth. Addie wanted to come with more drawings, but I don't want her to see me upset. She doesn't understand why you were sleeping and not waking up." Roman said to Seth.
"It's okay Roman, I trust you with her. I do. Did the cops catch Marek?" Seth asked. He wanted that fucker out of his life. He couldn't keep this up. The next time, Marek will be successful in killing him, and his daughter. Roman shook his head no. "How is Addison? Is she okay? Tell me, Roman, is our daughter okay?" Seth was worried about his baby girl and rightfully so.
"She's okay. Some bruises, a good knot on her head, she has four stitches in her head from being busted open, and a broken right arm." Roman told Seth.
Seth was crying. "I tried to protect her, I did. He threw us into the wall and she was crying. I crawled over to her and put myself on top of her, protecting her from Marek's kicks. I'd rather take them than her. He then pulled me off of her, and slammed my face back into the wall again. Then he dragged me to my room and raped me several times. He beat the hell out of me too. I didn't think I was going to live, that's how bad it was. He then tied me to the bed and gagged me and raped me again and I blacked out. I was hurting so bad. I wanted it all to stop. I am so sorry Roman. I tried to fight him, but he just wouldn't stop." Seth was crying now. He didn't want Roman to hate him.
"I know, baby. I know you did what you could. I am not angry with you, but I do need to tell you something." Roman said to Seth.
"What is it Ro?" Seth asked.
"Um...when Marek was beating the crap out of you, he did something." Roman said to Seth. This was harder than he thought. It was their baby that died because of a man that couldn't let things go.
"What happened Ro." Seth asked again.
"You were pregnant at the time, Seth. Him beating you within an inch of your life, you miscarried our baby." Roman had tears again in his eyes.
Rubbing his stomach, Seth also had tears in his eyes. "I didn't know Ro. I swear I had no idea I was pregnant. I had no signs. I...how far along was I?" He was so upset. How could he have not known he was pregnant. He had a precious life growing inside of him, a life that he and Roman created together from their love. It was gone before he even knew it existed.
"Only three weeks." Roman responded.
"I...I am so freaking sorry. I never thought... I killed our baby. I did that. I'm sorry…." Seth was interrupted by his boyfriend.
Roman kissed Seth. He didn't blame Seth for the loss of their baby. He talked more to the doctor about Seth being pregnant. Roman would never blame him for their loss. "Seth, I do not blame you. Look at me baby boy, you did not kill our baby. Marek killed our baby. I talked to the doctor and he said with only being three weeks, some may experience morning sickness and some may not. Seth every pregnancy is different. Mom's pregnancies were all different with my sisters. You did nothing wrong baby. Please stop crying love. I've cried enough for the both of us lately." Roman said as he consoles his lover.
