It was December and Addie was turning three. Roman and Seth were having a little birthday party for her, only the family were invited. Dean and Renee were there with their newest addition to their family, a baby boy named Thomas. He was so adorable, and Seth just ate him up. Addie liked the new baby as well. "I think she will do just fine when our baby comes." Roman said to Seth as he saw Addie sitting on Renee's lap looking fascinated at the little boy in Dean's arms. Seth couldn't help but smile and rub his bump. He didn't have a big bump for being almost nine months pregnant, but that's what happens when your ex husband beats and starves you, he thought to himself. He was healthy though, adding more weight on and muscle. He had a lot to be thankful for.
Roman, Dean and their father all cooked supper and got it ready, while Seth set the table and got everything they needed for the dinner. It was a wonderful family gathering for their little girl. She was happy, but she was always happy to see her family. She finally got her cast off her arm. It took longer than they thought it would to heal, but it did. Everyone ate until their stomachs were full, and then it was time for gifts. Roman and Dean's siblings were all in playing with Addison when they thought it was best to do gifts before it got to be too late.
Each one of Roman's siblings came over at a time and gave Addie a gift. Addie was happy to rip open the paper. When she was done, she saw that it was a dollie. "Waddy, Wapa, wook." She held up the doll for her parents to look at. They both loved it. It was a soft fabric doll so she couldn't hurt herself if she smacked herself with it. She opened several more gifts until they were done. She got clothes, shoes and toys. Everything that she likes. She was beyond happy. Roman and Seth couldn't wait for Christmas. This would be the first real Christmas that Addie has had. Yeah Seth got a gift or two for her in the past, but he could really never afford anything good.
Once everything quieted down and everyone went home, Seth gave Addie a bath and then put her to bed with her new doll. "Waddy, waby?" She was looking around.
Looking at his daughter, "Your baby doll is right here sweetie." Seth held up her dollie.
Shaking her head, Addie said "No Waddy, waby." Again she was looking around.
Finally knowing what she was saying, "Baby Thomas had to go home baby girl. He was sleeping. We will see him again tomorrow." She said okay and cuddled down with her daddy. Seth read her a Christmas story while his little girl was falling asleep. When he saw that she was asleep, Seth kissed her head and went back downstairs to find Roman.
Roman decided to start wrapping a few gifts that they had. Going down, Seth went up behind him. "Hey love, what are you doing?" Seth kissed Rome's cheek.
"I thought I would start wrapping some gifts we have a while so we don't have to do them all at once. Plus I don't want you down on the floor. I know you are a bit uncomfortable. So I thought while our princess is asleep I would just wrap a while." Roman said and then kissed Seth.
"I can help. I'm not unable to sit on the floor." Seth said as he slowly slid down to sit on the floor. He grabbed some wrapping paper and then some gifts and started to wrap.
"Seth, you shouldn't be down here on the floor like this. I know your back is already sore. You shouldn't be down here like this and leaning over." Roman said, looking at Seth.
Seth just looked at him and continued wrapping gifts. He wasn't doing anything that would hurt him. "This just means that you will have to rub my back." Seth said back to the man sitting beside him.
Roman smiled. He could definitely do that for Seth since he was on the floor while being eight months pregnant helping him. Once they were done, Roman picked Seth up off the floor, and took him to their room. "I think I owe you a back rub, pretty boy." Roman said, then kissing the love of his life, and father of their children.
"Mmm I like the sound of that. My back has been killing me. I think the baby likes kicking my back." Seth said to Roman as Roman starts to work on his back.
"Baby, I don't think that baby can kick your back." Roman said, still working the knots out. Damn his back is all kinked up.
"Shh, just go with it Ro." Seth said back to the Samoan man massaging the kinks out of his sore back. Roman was so good at working his back out. Roman couldn't help but to laugh at his fiance.
Roman was the first to wake the next day, and decided to make breakfast for Seth and their daughter. He was just finishing up, when he saw Seth walking into the kitchen and he saw him rubbing his bump. Roman saw the look on Seth's face. "Baby, are you okay?"
Seth looked up at Roman. He was having sharp pain in his stomach, but he figured he just needed to use the bathroom eventually, and so he wasn't too worried about it. Why should he be, he has a whole month yet before he is to have his baby. "Yeah Ro, I'm okay." Roman looked at him, but decided not to push. He went up and got Addie instead for breakfast. He was very worried, but it could be anything he thought, and maybe he is worrying over nothing.
After breakfast was over the family was headed out for a bit to go to the gym and then lunch with the whole family. When they got to Steph's office, they saw that Dean and Renee were already there and dropped off Thomas. "Mom, are you running the shows or a daycare?" Roman asked his mom.
Laughing, Steph replied "I used to take you and Dean everywhere with me, now I do it to your sisters and my grandchildren." She loved having her children with her at work. When she was little, she was always with her father at shows, and so she wants to keep the tradition.
"Well Steph, I think you are doing a heck of a job. Do you still want Addie here?" Seth asked his very soon to be mother in law.
"You better leave her here." Steph replied. She loved her granddaughter.
Seth laughed. Roman kissed his mom and thanked her. "Come on ass kisser." Roman said, leading his soon to be husband out of his mom's office.
Turning around and hitting Roman, "I am not an ass kisser, unless it's you. Then all bets are off." Roman laughed and took Seth's hand and led them over to the locker room.
"Hey Dean, how is parenthood treating you since we last saw you?" Seth asked when he saw his best friend waiting for them.
"I love it. I let Renee sleep and I attend to Thomas when he wakes up. He's the best, and sleeps most of the night. Mom said it's a blessing considering I used to have her and dad up all hours of the night." Dean said back. He loves being a father. He told Renee he can't wait to have more.
Seth and Roman were happy for the couple. They were meant for each other. Seth, when he first met Dean, didn't think that he would ever find the one to settle down with. Dean always reminded Seth of someone that couldn't sit still long enough, but people surprise you.
The three men went and did a workout, but Seth was struggling through it today. Roman saw Seth sitting on a bench rubbing his stomach. "Hey you okay?" Roman asked the young man, sitting beside him.
"I don't think I can do anymore. I am having some cramping and I am a bit uncomfortable." Seth replied. Roman watched Seth. He was getting more worried.
Walking over to the boys, Hunter saw Seth and Roman sitting on the bench. It wasn't like either of them to do so. "Hey, everything okay?"
"Dad, Seth isn't feeling so good. He is having cramps." Roman said to his dad as he held the young man.
"Seth, are your cramps coming and going?" Hunter asked. He could see that he was breathing harder and he was in pain.
"They come and go, not often, but it hurts all the time. I don't know what's wrong. I only felt like this when I was having Addie." Seth started to cry because he didn't know what was wrong.
"We are going to the hospital." Roman said, picking Seth up and carrying him. "Dad, tell mom and Dean please." He took Seth out and put him in the car. Roman never drove so fast in his life, trying to get his fiance to the hospital.
"Ro, it hurts so bad." Seth cried out. He was in so much pain. When his cramps shoot into his stomach, he feels like he is being ripped in two.
Roman keeps looking over at Seth. "Hang in there Seth. Please baby, we are almost there." Roman was freaking out. He didn't know what to do, and he didn't know how to care for Seth at this moment. Once they got to the hospital, Roman took Seth in and immediately called for help.
"Sir, what is the emergency?" A nurse asked the Samoan. She can tell that he didn't know what to do and that he was freaking out.
"My fiance is eight months pregnant and he is having really bad cramps. Please you have to help him." Roman was begging the old lady to help him.
"Follow me." The nurse said. Roman did just that. Other nurses and a doctor came in and tried to take Seth from him, but Roman wouldn' let them take him. "Please put him on the bed. We have to get him comfortable. I do have questions for you about your fiance that you can answer." Roman nodded and stepped out to answer questions.
When he was done, he went back in and to see Seth. "Hey baby. How are you feeling?" Roman sat down beside Seth. He held his hand and rubbed his stomach.
"Ro I'm scared They are going to run a test to see what is going on with the baby. What...what if something happened to our baby? What if...what if I did something to our baby again?" Seth said to Roman. He was so scared.
Roman went and sat behind Seth, holding him in his arms. "You did not do anything to harm our baby the first time, and you did nothing to our baby this time. Let them run their test. I will be here with you through it all." He continued to hold his baby boy.
Coming into the room, the nurse and Seth's doctor came in. "Okay Seth. We are going to do an ultrasound and see what is going on." His doctor put gel on Seth's stomach and started to move the wand around. "Well...I see your baby, and she wants out. She is in the right position, and doing her part. Now it is time to do your part Seth."
"How can I be in labor? I am only eight months? Oh god…." Seth dubbed over in pain.
"Roman, I don't care if you stay there, but I need you to keep him calm and breathing." The doctor told Roman. He also moved down to inspect Seth, he saw that he was indeed making room to bring his baby into the world. "Seth, everything looks good. You are opening up nicely, but I have to ask, how long have you been feeling these contractions?"
"Um since yesterday or the following night." Seth replied.
"You are almost ready to start pushing. I'd say within the next hour or two. So stay calm and keep taking deep breaths. I will send in family since they have been waiting for a long while." Seth's doctor told them. Both boys nodded and thanked him.
Coming into the room, Hunter, Stephanie, their three girls that Seth has come to love, Dean and Renee along with their little boy Thomas and finally their daughter Addison. "Wapa, waddy!" Addie yelled and Hunter lifted his granddaughter up and put her on the bed to see her parents. Seth hugged her and cried. He didn't know why he was crying, but he was, and Roman hugged the two of them. It made the rest of the family smile to see the small family interact. "How are you feeling sweetie?" Steph asked the young man.
"Sore and contractions are close together. It hurts so bad, and I wasn't this way with Addie. I feel like I am being ripped in half." Seth said back. Steph could see the pain in the young man's face.
"All pregnancies are different. I was in so much pain with two of mine, and one of them was a lot of pressure. I know it doesn't make you feel better, but know that it's all worth it sweetie. We are all here for you." She said. Steph knew once the baby was out, that he would feel relief instantly.
Two and a half hours later, Seth was ready to get this baby out. "Alright Seth, I need you to push." His doctor told him. Seth was pushing with everything that he had. "Alright, on three, push again. 1,2,3 push. That's it Seth, you are doing great." His doctor was praising his patient.
"I can't, I can't do this anymore. Ro, help me." Seth was crying. He is exhausted, and he just wants to sleep.
"You're doing great, baby boy. Keep breathing. Breath with me Seth, that's it, slow deep breaths." Roman kept saying to Seth.
When the doctor told him to push, Seth found it in him to do just that, push. He wanted to see his baby girl. He wanted to hold her and love her as much as he loves Addie. He wanted his family with Roman, the man that he loves and to be happy with his children.
"Congratulations Seth and Roman on your newest addition to your family. A little girl born Dec. 22nd at 5:55am. She weighs 6lbs 9oz. She is beautiful." His doctor told Seth and Roman. They could hear her crying, but couldn't see her.
Roman got out from behind Seth, so Seth could rest. Roman was asked to cut the cord and he did so. Once they cleaned the little girl off well and wrapped her up and put a small pink hat on her, Roman then took his tiny little baby girl over and handed her to Seth.
Seth looked up at Roman as he placed their little girl in his arms. "She is so beautiful Ro. We made this perfect little girl together." Seth was crying. He was so happy and relieved that nothing was wrong with their daughter. Roman kissed his head. He never thought in a million years that he would ever experience this, but here he was with the love of his life and two beautiful daughters.
A nurse came over and interrupted the family moment. "Seth, I am sorry to spoil this moment, but we have to see if she takes to feeding from you." Seth held his daughter and moved his gown so his daughter could access his chest. Once she was in line with his nipple, she started sucking. "Very good. Now you have to make sure that you eat enough throughout the day that you can keep up milk production for her." The nurse told him. He nodded.
The rest of the family was left and able to come in. Everyone was so happy to see the baby, and Addie was in love with her baby sister. Both girls were laying with Seth, and Addie held her sister's hand. With Seth becoming more and more tired, the nurse came in with a little bed and put the baby in it and she was resting right beside her father. They decided to keep her in the room with Seth, because of Seth breastfeeding her, and he was in no shape to get up and walk. He was still under some weight, and this made him weak and he needed his rest.
Roman stepped out of the room, and Hunter followed. "Roman?" Was all Hunter had to say to his son.
"She's beautiful isn't she?" Was all the Samoan boy said.
"She is a perfect combination of her parents." Hunter answered. He went up to his son and hugged him. "You did so well, Roman. You and Seth made a beautiful daughter, and you were there for him every step of the way. I'm proud of you." Hunter said to his son. He was so proud of him, and everything that he has accomplished so far in his young life.
