Jay had a hard time keeping Jordan calm, he had to keep her calm due to her pregnancy. This pregnancy had been rough on Jordan, Theo had been deployed on another tour. She'd been on edge whenever her phone rang, whenever someone knocked on her door thinking she had lost her husband. Now her son was missing which had her more on edge.
He had Adam and Kevin out looking, he had all of patrol just about tearing apart the city looking for the little boy he considered a nephew. He knew if Jordan lost her son, she would never be the same again. She was still crying, her breathing had picked up as he started to hyperventilate moving fast on his feet Jay went to her.
"Jordy" He started off softly. "Breathe. I need you to breathe"
"I...I can't breathe...Ja-Jay...I can't" She cried, gasping for air.
"Yes you can, I know you can. In and out. In and out"
He showed her instructing her, she started to take slow deep breaths as she began trying to calm down. Soon she began letting out sobs.
"Jay...please. You've gotta find him. I..I can't lose him"
"I've got everyone looking everywhere. Would you have any ideas who could have done this?"
"You know that's gonna be a long list. It could be anyone I put away. That my dad put away. My dad, I want my dad, Jay. Please"
"I'm pretty sure he's on his way"
"If I lose him, it'll be like losing Justin all over again"
"Don't think that way, we will find him and whoever took him they will get what's coming to them"
"They're dead. Nobody messes with my son and walks away alive"
Oddly enough when Jordan had that tone of voice it always sent shivers through Jay's body and chills down his spine. She sounded so much like her father. Hank had been the same way when someone messed with Jordan, nobody walked away fully intact, a few walked away and never came back.
"Jo, don't. You can be better than that. Not to mention you have another baby on the way, don't do anything to put Anna in harm's way"
"My son is in harm's way!"
"Jo you've gotta relax, you can't get stressed out. It's not good for the baby"
If it was one thing Jay knew to never do, never to a Voight to calm down when they're angry. The last time someone did that, they got one hell of a backlash from it. Adam and Kevin returned, Eva and Diego were working effortlessly trying to find the missing Voight boy.
When Jordan had seen them she quickly rushed over to them grabbing a hold of them, they had felt her shaking, her eyes held fear and worry.
"Anything?" Her voice held a pleading and desperate tone.
"All we got was someone signing him out of school using a CPD badge" Adam told her.
"Description"
"A tall, African-American male, some facial hair," Kevin went on.
Jordan's head and brain went into overdrive trying to think of all the possibilities. They tried to guide her to sit down but she pushed their hands away.
"I'm trying to think here," She snapped.
"Kiddo, you've gotta relax, being angry and stressed it's not good for you or the baby" Adam tells her.
"My little boy is missing! I can't relax. He's out there scared and alone. He needs me" She turned looking at Jay. "If he used a CPD badge then we look at all possible cops within the department. I could have had an old run in. Maybe someone my dad had a beef with"
If Jordan had to take a guess, she had a gut feeling she knew who took her son. She was hoping to play one of her father's old moves and hoped Jay or the others wouldn't figure it out.
"Jo, that's a lot of officers to look into," Jay advised her.
"It's better than sitting around on our asses"
"Jo, go home and let us handle this. We will find Justin"
"No way in hell am I getting benched"
"I'm benching you. You're not supposed to be doing field work anyway"
"No way in hell. I'm staying on and I'm finding my son. If this had been your kid you'd fight like hell to stay on and I'm staying on"
"I'm not carrying the life of an innocent baby Jordan. You are. I told you from the moment you said you were pregnant, you wanna work fine. But you're staying on desk duty. If anything were to happen to you and that baby, your father and Theo would have my head"
"That's my son, Jay. My little boy he needs me to be out there looking for him"
"He needs you to stay behind and be safe. He needs you to protect that baby you're carrying"
Jordan went out needing some air, she went to her car and got in. Starting the car she drove to her house she went inside and went to her home office where she kept some case files. She pulled out an old set from years ago. Back from when her father had the intelligence unit.
She started reading it and pulled out a picture. She held it in her fingers, glaring at it. "You're mine, you son of a bitch"
