Chapter 15 Throw a Goodbye Party Thing!
CJ: After school I couldn't hang out with Crispo and Fen because I was going out with my family. This turned out to be great for Crispo because he had an idea. An idea that he couldn't discuss in front of me.
Crispo and Fenwick were walking home from school.
"Boy", Crispo started. "We really lucked out on CJ not being able to hang out with us this afternoon since she's going out with her family. I was worried that I was going to have to come up with some made up story as to why I didn't want to hang out with her today."
"Wait", Fenwick started. "You do not want to hang out with CJ today? Why? Did you two get into a couple's fight or something?"
"A couple's fight", Crispo asked. "Are CJ and I even a couple?"
"Well", Fenwick started. "What are you two?"
Crispo thought for a moment, before ultimately shrugging.
"I don't know", he replied. "But I don't have time to worry about that now. Right now I got to work on my surprise for CJ."
"Surprise", Fenwick asked in confusion. "What surprise?"
"Well", Crispo started. "The end of the school year is coming up, which means that CJ isn't going to be a student at Pootatuck for much longer."
"Okay", Fenwick started, still confused. "Where are you going with this?"
"Well", Crispo started. "I was thinking about asking Mr Roberts if we could throw a surprise goodbye party for CJ at the end of the school year?"
"I see", Fenwick started. "Well, I guess that it wouldn't hurt to ask."
CJ: So the next day, Crispo and Fenwick went to school without me to ask Mr Roberts about throwing me a surprise goodbye party."
Crispy and Fenwick knocked on the door of Mr Roberts' office.
"Come in", he called out before the former two did just that. "Good morning Crispo and Fenwick. Where's CJ?"
"We came to school without her since we wanted to talk to you about throwing her a goodbye party", Fenwick revealed.
"A goodbye party", Mr Roberts asked in confusion.
"Yeah", Crispo replied. "Since she's not going to be a student at Pootatuck next year."
"Oh", Mr Roberts said is realization. "I see. Well, I think that that's a great idea. However, there is one problem."
"A problem", Crispo asked in confusion. "What problem?"
"If you want the hold the party at the school, you'll need to get permission from Principal Hader."
"Oh", Fenwick started. "Yeah, that is a problem. I doubt that she'll agree to let students throw an event for one student."
"We have to at least try", Crispo started. "After all, this is CJ we're talking about. We should do something special for her."
"Look at you Crispo", Mr Roberts started. "Being a good boyfriend."
"Boyfriend", Crispo asked in confusion.
"You are CJ's boyfriend, aren't you", Mr Roberts asked.
"I don't know", Crispo replied. "Anyway, let's go talk to Hader."
