Chapter 5 Mr Watson

Peter's POV

"I know", I started. "Why don't we go see your dad?"

When I suggested this to MJ, she looked at me in surprise.

"Go see my dad", she asked in shock.

"Yeah", I replied. "He may know what we can do about this situation."

"I don't know", MJ started. "When him and my mom got divorced, she got full custody of me. I'm only allowed to visit my dad on her terms."

"I know", I started. "But that was when you were much younger, and I remember Aunt May once telling me that, when kids get older, they can say if they would like for their current custody arrangement to be changed."

"Hmm", MJ started. "I guess that you have a point there. But do you really think that that's going to work?"

"Only one way to find out", I stated.

Then…I took MJ's hand in mine.

"Come on", I started. "Let's go see your dad."

One Hour Later

MJ and I had arrived at her father's apartment, which we were currently standing in front of.

"You sure that this is the right address", I asked.

"It is", MJ replied. "My dad sent it to me in case there was ever an emergency."

"Alright then", I started. "Are you ready for this?"

"Yeah", MJ replied.

Then…she took a deep breath before knocking on her father's front door.

"Coming", I hear a familiar voice call from inside the apartment.

Then..the front door was opened, and standing behind it…was MJ's father, and he was surprised to see his daughter in front of the door of his apartment.

"MJ", he said in shock when he saw her.

"Dad", MJ said happily when she saw her father.

Then…she gave him a big hug.

"I missed you so much dad", she revealed.

"I missed you too sweetie", Mr Watson said before breaking the hug. "But what are you doing here? Is everything okay?"

"Everything is fine dad", MJ reassured her dad. "I just wanted to talk to you about something."

After MJ said this, her dad turned his head and spotted me.

"Peter", he said in shock. "You're here too?"

"Hi Mr Watson", I greeted. "It's been a long time since we last saw each other."

"Indeed it has", Mr Watson replied as his tone suddenly got a lot more sadder. "I heard about what happened to Ben."

"Yeah", I said sadly.

"Oh Peter", Mr Watson started as he pulled me into a hug. "I am so sorry son. Your Uncle Ben did not deserve what happened to him. Neither do you or your Aunt May."

"Thank you so much Mr Watson", I said.

I was getting choked up, but I stopped myself from crying.

We were here for MJ. Not for me.

"We'll worry about me later", I stated as I broke the hug. "Right now we need to talk about MJ."
