Chapter 11 Student Council President?

Machi's POV

Yuki and I were currently at a restaurant eating dinner together.

"So", he started. "How was your first week of school?"

"It was…weird, to say the least", I replied.

"What do you mean weird", Yuki asked in confusion.

"Well", I started. "You know your fan club?"

"Oh no", Yuki started in dismay. "They aren't giving you any trouble are they?"

"No", I replied. "Actually, it's quite the opposite."

"What do you mean", Yuki asked in confusion.

"Well", I started. "They say that, since I managed to win over the heart of the prince…that makes me a princess."

Saying this left Yuki dumbfounded.

"Wait", he started in realisation. "What?"

"Yep", I said. "So basically, the Prince Yuki Fan Club is now the Prince Yuki and Princess Machi Fan Club."

After I said this, Yuki burst out laughing.

"It's not funny", I stated sternly.

"Sorry", Yuki apologised. "I just find it funny that my fan club now sees you as a princess. But you know what? Maybe they're not wrong?"

Hearing Yuki say this made my face turn bright red.

"Shut up", I commanded bashfully.

"Okay", Yuki said in defeat before changing the subject. "So, anything else eventful happen at school?"

"Well", I started. "Elections for a new student council president are being held, and I was actually thinking about running for it."

"Wait", Yuki started. "You're thinking about running for student council president?"

"Yeah", I replied.

"Huh", Yuki started. "I have to admit, I'm surprised."

"You are", I asked.

"Yes", Yuki replied. "After all, you've never mentioned wanting to run for student council president before."

"Yeah", I started. "Well, I realised that it will help my chances of getting into the same college as you."

"Oh", Yuki said in realisation. "I guess that makes sense."

"Plus", I started nervously. "I feel like, if I become student council president like you were, I can…I can feel closer to you, Yuki."

After I said this, Yuki looked at me in shock.

But then…he smiled…before putting his hand over mine from across the table.

"Well then", he started. "I hope that you get it."

Yuki saying this, plus holding my hand, made my face turn bright red again.

"Anyway", I said quickly changing the subject. "Do you have any tips to help me get the position of student council president?"

"Tips to help you get the position of student council president", Yuki repeated before he started thinking to himself. "Let's see. The first tip I can give you is to find students that can recommend you for the position. Thankfully, you have your fan club, so that shouldn't be an issue."

"Ah huh", I started. "Very funny. Anybody else I can ask to recommend me?"

"Let's see", Yuki started before he started thinking. "Oh! How about Haru and Momiji?"

"That could work", I replied. "After all, I'm pretty sure they have their own fan clubs."
