Chapter 13 New Members

Machi's POV

During our lunch break, Naohito and I were in the student council room.

"It's so quiet in here without Kimi, Kakeru and Yuki", he said.

"Yeah", I agreed. "Alright! My duties as the new student council president begin now!"

"Alright Ms president", Naohito said. "Tell me, what is the first thing on the agenda."

"For starters", I began. "We need to find new members to fill in the other vacant roles."

"We need a new treasurer", Naohito said. "As well as two new secretaries."

"Yeah", I said.

"Do you know anybody suited for the jobs", Naohito asked

"If I'm not mistaken", I started. "Hatsuharu and Momiji Sohma both signed up for the secretary positions."

"Aren't those Yuki's cousins", Naohito asked. "Weren't they also your recommenders?"

"They were", I replied. "I don't know if they know anything about being secretaries for a student council, but they're the only ones who signed up for the positions, so I guess that we're going to have to give it them."

"Very well", Naohito replied. "Let's just hope that they know what they're doing. Now then, who will be filling out your old role?"

"Let's see", I started before looking at the sign up sheet. "The only person who sighed up for that role is someone named Takara Mono."

"Takara Mono", Naohito repeated. "Is that anybody you know?"

"No", I replied.

"Well then", Naohito started. "Shall we call our candidates to the student council room?"

With that, I nodded.

Then…I took a deep breath before turning on the intercom.

"May Hatsuharu Sohma, Momiji Sohma, and Takara Mono please report to the student council room?"

A few moments later, both Hatsuharu and Momiji had arrived in the student council room.

"Yo", the former greeted.

"Hi there", Momiji greeted.

"Hello Hatsuharu", I greeted. "Hello Momiji."

"There is no need to be so formal Machi", Momiji stated as he put my hands on his shoulders. "After all, we're family!"

"Family", Naohito asked in confusion.

"Well", Hatsuharu started. "We will be one day when Machi and Yuki get married."

"Anyway", I said, changing the subject as I blushed a bright red. "We called you guys in here because we saw that you two signed up to be the new secretaries for the student council."

"That's right", Momiji replied.

"So", Hatsuharu started. "Did we get the job?"

"That depends", Naohito started. "Do you guys even know what secretaries do?"

"They answer the phone right", Hatsuharu replied.

"No silly", Momiji corrected. "They take minutes in a meeting!"

"They take time", Hatsuharu asked.

"No silly", Momiji repeated. "It means that they take notes of what is said in meetings so that there won't be any 'but you said that' arguments."

"Oh", Haru said in realisation.

Before Naohito and I could loose it from his stupidity, another student walked in.

He had short, black hair styled into a bridge, pale skin, black eyes, and black rimmed glasses.

"Hello there", he greeted. "My name is Takara Mono."
