Chapter 14 Models?!
Machi's POV
After school, I was in the locker room to put my outdoor shoes on.
"Machi", Momiji said excitedly as he and Hatsuharu walked up to me. "Ayame just called and said that he wants me, you and Haru to go to his dress shop immediately!"
"Huh", I asked. "Go to his dress shop? But why? Is everything okay?"
"He didn't say", Hatsuharu replied. "But we shouldn't keep our dear Yuki's older brother waiting."
…
Hatsuharu, Momiji and I had arrived at Ayame's dress shop.
"Machi", he exclaimed when he saw me before pulling into a bone crushing hug. "Hello my dear sister-in-law! It has been far too long since I have last since you! Yes, far too long!"
Hearing Ayame call me 'sister-in-law' again made my face turn bright red.
The last time he had called me that was at the dinner party he had invited me to about a couple of weeks ago.
"Ayame", I said in embarrassment before pulling out of said person's bone crushing hug. "I'm not your sister-in-law!"
"Ah", Ayame started. "But mark my words my dear Machi. Someday you will be!"
"Yeah", Momiji agreed.
"Of course", Hatsuharu also agreed.
Hearing all of this just made my face turn even more bright red.
"C…can you please just tell us why you told us to come here", I asked Ayame, desperately trying to change the subject.
"Of course dear sister-in-law", Ayame replied. "Come this way! My dear Mine has prepared a lovely tea party for all of you!"
"Yay", Momiji exclaimed happily. "Tea party!"
With that, Ayame led the three us to another room.
When we got there, Mine was waiting…with two children and a baby.
"Haru", the female child said excitedly before running up and hugging said person. "What are you doing here?"
"Ayame called us over here for something", Hatsuharu replied. "What are you and Hiro doing here?"
"Ayame called us over here too", the boy child (who was named Hiro) replied.
"Oh", the girl said when she noticed me. "Who's this?"
"This is Machi Kuragi", Haru replied. "She is Yuki's current love."
"Oh", the girl started excitedly. "So you're Machi! I've heard so much about you!"
"You have", I asked in shock.
"Yuki talks about you a lot", Hiro replied before walking up to me with the baby in his arms, "anyway, my name is Hiro. This is Kisa, and this is my baby sister Hinata. We're Yuki's cousins."
"Oh", I said in realisation. "Well then, it's very nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too", Kisa replied.
"So Ayame", Hiro started changing the subject. "You gonna tell us why you called us over here?"
"Yes", Ayame replied. "You see, I need people to model clothing for my shop!"
"Models", we all exclaimed.
"Yes", Ayame replied. "Machi and Momiji will model my range of cutesy clothes!"
"We'll what", I exclaimed.
"That sounds amazing", Momiji stated.
"Haru will model my more edgy clothes", Ayame revealed. "Tohru's friend Hanajima has agreed to be the female model for that range."
"I can make accessories", Haru added.
"Excellent", Ayame exclaimed. "Lastly, the adorable Hiro, Kisa and Hinata will model for my children's range!"
"We will", Kisa asked nervously.
"I'm not sure if my mom would approve of that", Hiro stated.
"Actually", Ayame started. "I've already called your mother, and she agreed!"
"She what", Hiro exclaimed.
"Yes", Ayame replied. "The first photoshoot will be this weekend!"
That Night
I was in my room and on the phone with Yuki, who was currently laughing.
"It's not funny", I stated.
"Sorry", he apologised. "But if you don't want to model, why did you agree to it?"
"Because Ayame offered to pay", I replied. "And I need the money."
"Why", Yuki asked.
"I have no doubt that my parents will probably stop financially supporting me once I turn eighteen", I revealed. "Besides, I need money for college."
"Well", Yuki started. "I'm sure that you'll look cute."
"Shut up!"
