As fate would have it, Kara eventually chose to follow in the footsteps of her cousin, and become the hero that National City did not deserve, Supergirl. Together, she and her sister, along with the last Son of Mars; the three of them and their allies protected the city from all threats.
There were highs and lows in their lives. Specifically, Kara's aunt had come to the planet to take it over, and she was forced to kill her to protect her father figure. It had been a difficult time, but Kara eventually forgave her sister. There was another low in Kara's life, when she fell in love with the Daxamite prince, Mon-El, only to send him away when his mother and his people started a war on Earth.
