Nervous. That's what Juna felt throughout her entire body as she hid around the corner, spying on her instructor. The pink-haired student wanted nothing more than to actually talk to him, wanting to say something to him for the longest time. Now would be the best chance she got.
Hesitantly, she removed herself from her hiding spot and made her way over to her instructor.
"P-Professor Rean?" she said, getting his attention.
"Ah, Juna. What can I do for you?" asked the man with a gentle smile as he noticed her nervousness.
"Um, I was wondering if I could speak with you about something," stated the Crawford, unable to look him in the eye.
She heard him let out a chuckle. "I believe you are already speaking with me, but what exactly did you wish to speak of."
His little quip caused her to blush slightly. "W-Well, I j-just wanted to say th-thank you."
"Thank me?" questioned Rean, wondering what he had done to be given thanks.
"Y-Yes!" squeaked out Juna, now looking him in the eye. "You're the one who stopped Erebonia's invasion of my home, of Crossbell. If it weren't for you I might not even be here right now."
"You don't need to thank me for that, Juna," replied Rean with a slight shake of the head. "I couldn't just sit back and let something like that happen."
"But it did happen and you were the one to stop it," stated the girl. "So again, thank you for saving us, Professor!"
She then felt a hand atop of her head. Looking up, she saw that same gentle smile Rean had earlier.
"If you truly wish to thank me, keep up with your training and become strong. In doing so, you can assure that something like the Erebonia Invasion will never happen again. Okay?"
Her emerald eyes shined with determination at her hero's words.
"I won't let you down, Professor!"

Was originally going to write for Emma Millstein for today, but she apparently officially has purple hair, despite how some official art makes it look pink. Luckily, the Trails of Cold Steel series DID have an actual pink-haired girl in Juna.
