Callie sat on the floor of her office with her daughter on her lap and her boys sitting, and sometimes rolling, on the floor in front of her. The foursome had just finished their lunch and Callie was postponing getting back to work while she enjoyed the time with her kids.

"But Mommy, I want daddy to read to me tonight."

Callie sighed and nodded slowly. "I know you do, baby. But you're going to get to see him again next week and he'll read to you as much as you want, I know it."

"He doesn't do the voices when Aunt Megan is around." Allegra's bottom lip poked out in a pout and Callie hugged her tight.

"I'll talk to him, okay? I'll make sure he does the voices."

"I want to talk to him!"

Callie maneuvered the little girl so that they were facing each other, and she looked into her eyes. "You can. You know that, right? He's in the hospital every day. If you want to talk to him, just tell your Miss Melissa or Miss Julia and he'll come as soon as he can."

Allegra's face screwed up as she contemplated this new information. "Daddy can still come to the daycare?"

"Of course he can, honey. And I'm sure he will. He loves you three so much, and he misses you too."

This new piece of information seemed to settle the girl down and Callie was thrilled for a moment of peace. The implications of their parents split were finally sinking in and all three kids were being particularly difficult.

"Okay, kiddos. Mommy has to go back to work. Do you want to go back to the daycare or do you want Tia 'Ria to come pick you up?"

"Wia! Wia!" little Gus pipped up.

"Tia Ria got me a puzzle, mami! It's got the three bears!"

"I know! I can't wait to see it!" Callie pulled out her cellphone and quickly dialed her sister.

Aria picked up right before the call went to voicemail. "Mmph. 'llo?"

"Are you napping? In the middle of the day?"

"It's the only time to do it." Aria brushed her hair out of her face and sat up with a shrug. "I had a late night. What's up?"

"Do you still feel like playing babysitter?"

"Yes, please! Give me ten minutes and I'll be there."

"Okay. We're in my office."

Aria threw on some jeans, a sweatshirt, and her glasses and made her way to the hospital, traveling the hallways to Callie's office. She opened the door just as Callie finished getting the boys strapped into their stroller.

"Hey, pipsqueaks!"

"Tia 'Ria!" Allegra ran over to give her aunt a hug.

"Hey, Lil' Bear. Hey, gentlemen," she greeted the twins.

"Thanks for taking them. Like I said, it's been a long day and I think they need some fun."

"Well, fun I can do. Let's go troops! I've got a big bowl of popcorn waiting for us." Aria stepped behind the stroller as Allegra ran towards the door.

"Allegra Lee!" Callie's voice stopped the little girl cold before she could run into the hallway.

She sheepishly turned to her mother. "'Bye, Mami. I love you."

Callie leaned down and placed a kiss on her daughter's head. "I love you too. Don't eat too much popcorn and ruin your dinner, okay?"

"Promise."

Aria grinned at her sister and shrugged. "I'm the aunt. I'm supposed to ruin their dinners." She started out the door. "Come hang out with us after work. I can make you some popcorn too."

Callie rolled her eyes as she watched her sister wheel the stroller out of the room, Allegra bouncing up and down next to her, already talking a mile a minute about her day.

Aria turned towards the elevator and saw Cynthia at the end of the hall. Grimacing, Aria realized she hadn't even brushed her hair after her nap. She tried to run her fingers through it quickly before Cynthia turned and spotted her.

"Hey! What are you doing here?"

"Oh, just gathering up some of my best friends for a day of fun. Does everybody remember my friend, Cynthia? Allegra, can you say hi?"

"Hi Cynt'ia."

"Well, hello Ms. Allegra."

"Tia 'Ria got me a puzzle and popcorn!"

"That sounds amazing. Your Tia is pretty great, huh?"

Allegra smiled happily and buried her face in her aunt's side.

"Babysitting?" Cynthia asked Aria.

She nodded. "I'm pretty stoked about this puzzle. It looks tough, though. Thank goodness Allegra's coming over to help me with it."

Cynthia reached out and hit the elevator down button and turned back to Aria. "Are you…babysitting all night?"

Aria shrugged. "I'm not sure. Callie will come over after work to get them." The elevator dinged and Aria maneuvered the stroller into the small space with Allegra trailing behind her, a fist balled up in her aunt's sweatshirt. "You're more than welcome to join us when you get out. There's plenty of popcorn for everyone."

Cynthia laughed and Aria shot her a big smile as the elevator doors closed, cutting their conversation short.

Turning, Cynthia pulled out her phone as she walked towards the operating room.

I don't know how you do it, Torres. That disheveled, comfy sweatshirt, casual thing you've got going on is VERY HOT. Also, glasses? Have I mentioned my feelings on girls who wear glasses…?

Aria was exhausted. She wasn't kidding when she told Callie she had a late night…Cynthia had kept her up until all hours, and then with the ride home and showering she had only gotten about three hours of sleep the night before. She looked around her apartment and smiled at Allegra who was bouncing on the sofa while she pretended to read a story to her brothers, who were simultaneously enthralled and bored out of their minds. She'd always give up a few hours of sleep to spend time with her niece and nephews. She'd been entertaining them for the last few hours. The boys managed to get in a short nap, but Allegra was wired. She had told her aunt all about her weekend at Grandma Joan's and every exact detail of what happened at daycare that morning. They'd finished the puzzle and Allegra was thrilled to be the one to put the very last piece in. All the popcorn was gone, along with some candy Aria kept in her secret stash.

She was thrilled to hear someone in the hallway, hoping against hope that it was her sister but groaned softly as the door opened to reveal Mark Sloan. He stood in the open doorway with his mouth open, surveying the messy room and the three rambunctious children.

"Uh…hi?"

"Hey, Mark. Sorry about this, I'm watching Callie's kids." She called over to the brood. "Guys, do you remember meeting Mark at dinner when Abuela came over?"

Allegra nodded her head vigorously, although Aria could tell she was lying.

"There are children in this apartment."

"Good eye, Sloan."

"I don't know what to do with children," Mark said as Sam pulled himself up on unsteady legs and started tottering over to Mark, who took a step back.

"They're just little people."

Mark sidestepped Sam and inched along the wall until he got to his bedroom door. "Okay. Well, I'm going to hide in here until the little people are gone. Night, Little Torres."

"When my sister isn't around, you can just call me Torres!" Aria yelled as Mark disappeared behind his bedroom door. "Or Aria!"

"He's weird." Allegra's frank assessment made Aria laugh. Finally, there was a quick knock and Aria stood, scooping Sam up onto her hip on the way to the door, almost melting in gratitude when she opened it to reveal her sister.

"Mami!" Allegra launched herself past her aunt and wrapped around her mother's legs. "Mami, Tia 'Ria and me did a puzzle and it's so pretty!"

Callie lifted the small girl into her arms and squeezed her tight before putting her down. "I can't wait to see it, mija."

Aria peeked around her sister to see Cynthia standing behind her. "Hey."

Callie smirked and pointed her thumb at Cynthia. "I found this one standing in front of the hospital, looking indecisive. I convinced her to accompany me here."

Allegra chose that moment to drag her mother across the room, leaving Aria holding the door open while Cynthia remained loitering in the hallway.

Cynthia smiled and glanced at the boy on Aria's side, sucking on his fist. "You look good holding a kid."

Aria's eyebrows shot up and she opened her mouth to reply but realized she had no idea what to say, so she just closed her mouth and looked at her feet.

"Oh my god, I don't even know where that thought came from. I'm sorry—I'm sleep deprived."

Laughing, Aria shifted Sam to her other hip and gestured for Cynthia to enter the apartment. "Come on in."

"Cynt'ia!" Allegra was immediately at her side and grabbed Cynthia's hand, dragging her towards the coffee table. "Lookit the puzzle! That's me!" She pointed at the smallest bear.

Cynthia looked between the girl and the puzzle. "That doesn't look like you. You're way less fuzzy."

"No, that's me! There's Mama Bear and Daddy Bear and Baby Bear." She pointed to each bear in turn. "And I used to be the baby in the family, so Tia calls me Little Bear, cause it's the littlest bear."

Cynthia sat down on the couch, studying the puzzle. "But where are your brothers?"

Allegra shrugged.

"And who's this? Is this your Tia 'Ria?" Cynthia pointed at Goldilocks, standing in the doorway. Allegra took a step closer to the puzzle and looked at it closely, her tiny eyebrows furrowed in thought.

Callie had grabbed Gus and was standing at the kitchen counter next to her sister, the two women watching the scene unfolding on the couch.

"She's really good with her," Callie whispered to Aria.

"She's great."

Callie couldn't help noticing the big smile that spread across her sister's face and made a mental note that they needed to find some time to catch up and really talk.

Allegra looked around the room. "I dunno. Goldilocks doesn't look like any of us." Her face lit up. "I know! It's Mommy's friend! She has gold hair too!"

Cynthia smiled and shot a quick smirk at Callie. "Yeah, that must be Mommy's friend."

"Oh boy, okay. We should get out of your hair." Callie tried to cut the conversation short.

"Or maybe…" Allegra continued, "it's Tia 'Ria's boyfriend."

Cynthia's eyebrows shot up and she looked over at Aria.

"What boyfriend, Lil' Bear?" Aria asked.

"In the bedroom. He has light hair, right?"

Cynthia pursed her lips. "Does he, Aria? Does the boyfriend in your bedroom have light hair?"

Allegra turned to Cynthia and shook her head. "Not in Tia's bedroom. In that bedroom." She pointed her tiny fingers at Mark's bedroom door.

Aria let out a sigh and walked over to the couch, plopping Sam down before scooping Allegra up in her arms and tickling her sides. "That's not my boyfriend, you silly girl!"

"Tia! Stop!" Allegra gasped out through her laughter.

Aria didn't let up her assault on the little girl's sensitive sides as the girl squirmed in her grasp. She finally stopped and blew a raspberry on the girl's cheek. "Mark's just my friend, kiddo."

Shrugging, Allegra ran over to her mother once her aunt put her down and Callie smiled, putting a hand on her daughter's head. "Okay, now we should probably go."

The next ten minutes were a whirl of cleaning up, getting the boys strapped into their stroller, and lots of hugs and kisses before Callie and her kids were out the door.

Aria turned to her guest. "Hey. You came over."

"I wasn't sure if I should. But Callie talked me into it."

Faking a pout, Aria asked, "You had to be talked into spending time with me?" Just then, an unbidden yawn overtook her face and she brought her hands up to try and cover it. "Sorry about that."

"That's why I needed some convincing. I'm tired enough; I was sure you were too. I thought maybe you'd need some recovery time."

Aria glanced around the apartment and shrugged. "I was planning on an early night. But since you're already here, please stay. At least for a little bit."

Cynthia tried to fight the smile that was tugging at her lips. "I don't think I'm ever going to be able to say no to you."

"Good." Aria stepped up to Cynthia and kissed her softly. "Wanna watch a movie?"

"Sure."

Aria led her over to the couch and they settled down next to each other. Cynthia placed her arm along the back of the sofa and Aria leaned into her side. After finally choosing a movie neither of them had seen on Netflix, Aria snuggled in even more and Cynthia let her arm drop down to the other woman's shoulders, holding her against her body. Not even ten minutes into the movie, Cynthia looked over and realized that Aria had fallen asleep while snuggled against her. She smiled softly and placed a kiss on her head before turning her attention back to the movie.

Callie had finally gotten all three kids wrangled into the car, driven home, and had just pulled into her driveway when she realized there was a car sitting in front of her house with a blonde woman sitting in the driver's seat. As she started unloading the kids, the other car's door opened and Arizona popped out and waved.

"Hey. This is weird. I shouldn't have just been here."

"Um…it is a little weird. Have you been waiting for us?"

Allegra peeked out from behind her mother and offered a shy wave that Arizona returned.

"No! Sorry—I texted Cynthia and she mentioned that you had just left. I was out anyway, running some errands, so…I don't know, really. My car brought me here. I wanted to talk to you."

Callie's brows furrowed in confusion. "Okay. Well, let me get everybody inside and we can chat."

"I can help you." Arizona stepped forward and took Sam from his mother's arms after she removed him from his car seat.

"You're Goldilocks." Allegra was standing next to Arizona and staring up at her.

"What?"

"I'm Little Bear and Mommy is Mama Bear and you're Goldilocks."

Arizona looked confused, so Callie clarified as she got Gus out of the car. "Aria got her a Three Bears puzzle. She realized you and Goldilocks have the same color hair."

"We do! I like Goldilocks. She knows exactly what she likes, right? Not too hot, not too cold…"

Allegra nodded. Callie laughed and led the group to the door, letting them inside. "Give me a minute to get this crew settled and I'll be right back." She took Sam from Arizona and followed Allegra deeper into the house as Arizona stood in the foyer and took a deep breath. She couldn't believe that she had just showed up at the woman's house unannounced.

Her talk with her brother had rattled her a bit. It was true, what she told Tim—she was excited about Callie and the potential of what could happen. But she was also just plain scared and wanted to run fast and far in the opposite direction. She was hoping to meet up with Cynthia for some drinks to clear her mind, but the other woman had begged off, explaining that she was with Aria. She told Arizona to call Callie, since she had just left her sister's apartment. She may have also included a rather adult suggestion followed by a winking face. After rolling her eyes, Arizona had started her car to head home but found herself in front of Callie's house not long after. She had turned off the car and had just about convinced herself to drive away when Callie's car had pulled into the driveway. At her first glimpse of the other woman as she got out of the car, Arizona knew she was a goner. She was just plain drawn to Callie. There was no way she could run away from this or from her.

Hearing Callie's footsteps returning, Arizona realized she had just been standing in the woman's foyer for god knows how long like a creep. She shook her head and started shrugging off her jacket as Callie rounded the corner.

"What are you doing standing in the doorway? Come in! Make yourself at home."

Arizona smiled and shrugged. "Sorry, I got lost in thought." She hung her jacket on the hook near the door and toed off her shoes, like she had seen Callie and Allegra do.

"Alright. Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, yeah. Everything is good."

"Okay. I need to start cooking dinner, do you want to come hang out in the kitchen?"

With a small grimace, Arizona answered, "As long as you don't expect me to do any heavy lifting with the cooking. I don't want to be the one who burns the chicken nuggets."

Callie laughed and led the way into the kitchen. "I can do the cooking. You just need to keep me company."

"Now that I can handle."

"I can't promise any fancy food tonight. I was just planning on English muffin pizzas."

"You don't need to feed me. I showed up completely unannounced."

Callie shrugged. "The more the merrier."

Smiling, Arizona agreed. "English muffin pizza sounds fun."

"Excellent." Callie started gathering ingredients and turned on the oven. "You said you wanted to talk?"

Arizona took a deep breath and nodded. "I talked to my brother today."

Winking at the other woman, Callie asked, "Did you tell him about me now?"

"I did, yeah."

Callie could feel the other woman's energy dip and put down the English muffins that she had been splitting. "And? Is something wrong?"

"No! No, he'd like to meet you." She paused. "He's visiting my parents this week. He'll be back in Seattle on Monday."

"I feel like there's something you're not telling me."

Arizona sighed. "I told him all the things that scare me about you."

Callie smiled but it didn't reach her eyes. "All the things? That makes it sound like a long list."

"No, it's…God, I'm not saying this right."

"What are you saying? Did you change your mind about seeing what happens? With us?"

"No!"

Callie went back to assembling their dinner and looked to the other woman helplessly. "I don't know what you're trying to tell me."

"I…I haven't done this in a long time. I've had a reputation as Hit-It-And-Quit-It Robbins since…well, since my accident. I don't get invested and I don't get involved."

Callie furrowed her brow and shook her head. "That doesn't sound like you."

"It isn't! I mean, it was. For a long time. But I don't want to be that person anymore." She looked at the other woman shyly. "You make me not want to be that person anymore, but I'm petrified."

Callie popped the baking tray in the oven and walked around the kitchen island to stand next to Arizona. "I'm that scary?"

"No." Arizona smiled softly, looking into Callie's eyes. "You're not."

"Arizona, I haven't been a part of the dating scene for ten years. I have no idea what I'm doing and I'm scared too."

"Have you ever been with a woman before?"

"Oh." Callie stood up straight and went to the fridge, getting out the ingredients for a quick salad. "Is that what this is about?"

"It's…a concern."

Callie dropped her head. "It shouldn't be."

"What if you don't like it?"

"Arizona, I haven't stopped thinking about you for weeks." At Arizona's confused look, she continued, "Yeah, weeks. Since we were first working on the kid with the lung. Since before you offered friendship and became a part of my life. I like you. And I really like kissing you."

"Calliope…"

"I had a brief thing with a woman in college that I never got to explore. I was raised Catholic and it wasn't an option that ever really occurred to me. Then I got married and that was that. But then you came into my life and, yeah, I was confused at first and freaked out by the feelings that were happening, but I'm over that. I can't guarantee that I'm not going to have some struggles, but I'm done freaking out. It's not a concern."

"Calliope…"

"No. It's not a concern. What's next on your list?"

"Never mind. My list is dumb."

"I want to know. What else did you tell your brother is so scary about me?"

"You're upset."

Callie leaned against the counter behind her and crossed her arms. "I just don't understand. You're the one who kissed me first. We had a great time last night. Where is this coming from?"

"I don't know." Arizona sighed. "I'm sorry. My brother got in my head a little bit and then I just wanted to see you, because I always feel better when I see you. And, of course, I put my foot in my mouth because beautiful women scramble my brain."

Callie sighed. "I don't get it."

"Get what?"

"How you can make me so mad and then make me melt." Callie stepped forward and leaned over the island to take Arizona's hand in her own. "I think we need to admit that we're both scared and agree that we're going to do this together, while scared. I'm in if you are."

Arizona smiled, dimples popping and eyes sparkling. "I'm in."

"Good." Callie leaned forward, capturing the blonde woman's lips in a slow kiss.

The two women were too distracted to hear the little footsteps coming towards the kitchen. They both froze as they heard a little voice ask, "Mommy?"

A.N: Thanks again to every single person who has followed, favorited, and especially reviewed! I love hearing what you think of this story. Also, I wanted to mention that on my last re-read of the story, I realized that I've scrambled some names on accident. Callie's son has been called both Andy and Gus (I'll explain that one away in a future chapter), and Drew's last name has changed. That one was a mistake, so I will state from here on out, he is Drew Mitchell. Sorry for not catching either one sooner!
