AN: A couple people asked about Arizona's reference to her accident in the last chapter. In this story, Arizona lost her leg in a car accident before she came to Seattle. She mentioned it to Callie back in chapter 5 and I promise it will come up again in later chapters. Thanks again for all the follows, favorites, and especially reviews!

"How you can make me so mad and then make me melt." Callie stepped forward and leaned over the island to take Arizona's hand in her own. "I think we need to admit that we're both scared and agree that we're going to do this together, while scared. I'm in if you are."

Arizona smiled, dimples popping and eyes sparkling. "I'm in."

"Good." Callie leaned forward, capturing the blonde woman's lips in a slow kiss.

The two women were too distracted to hear the little footsteps coming towards the kitchen. They both froze as they heard a little voice ask, "Mommy?"

Callie abruptly pulled back from Arizona and stood up. "Hey, mija." She walked over to her daughter, scooping her up into her arms.

The little girl looked between the two flushed adults who were looking at her apprehensively. "I'm hungry."

Letting out a sigh of relief, Callie sat Allegra on the counter. "Well, dinner is almost ready. Do you want to help me put some cucumbers in the salad?" The girl nodded and Callie put her back on the floor. "Then wash your hands, please." She grabbed a cucumber from the fridge and chopped it up while her daughter dutifully washed her hands. Callie and Arizona locked eyes and Callie shrugged, unsure of how much her daughter had seen or understood about what she walked in on.

Once Allegra's hands were clean and the cucumber was chopped, Callie hiked her up onto the counter again. Piece by piece, Allegra picked up the cucumber slices and put them into the waiting salad bowl.

Allegra glanced up at Arizona. "Did you get hurt?"

"What, sweetie?"

"When I get an ouchie, mommy always kisses it better. Did you get an ouchie on your face?"

Arizona's eyes got wide and she glanced at Callie who had the nerve to be silently laughing at her. Her mouth opened, but she realized she had no idea what to say.

Luckily, Callie spoke up. "Yeah, kiddo." She stepped up next to her daughter and ran her hand over the little girl's hair. "She had an ouchie on her face."

Allegra's mouth screwed up in thought as she surveyed Arizona's face. "Mommy made it feel better?"

"Ah, yep. Much better."

Allegra nodded and brought her hand up to her mouth, kissing her fingers and then putting her hand on Arizona's face. "I fix it too."

Arizona couldn't help but smile widely at the girl and her antics. "Thank you so much, sweetheart. Now it's all better."

Callie picked Allegra up and put her down on the floor. "That was very sweet of you, Allegra. Dinner's just about ready. Let's go get your brothers, okay?"

Allegra nodded and ran out of the kitchen.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry about her."

"Thank god for kids making sense of things in their own way." Arizona sent the other woman a flirtatious smile. "Thanks for fixing my ouchie, Calliope."

Callie smiled at the blonde woman and let out a big laugh before following her daughter out of the room.

Cynthia turned slightly as she heard a door open behind her, careful not to wake the woman sleeping curled against her side. Mark Sloan came into view and Cynthia couldn't help but roll her eyes just a little.

"Hey, Rogers."

"Hi, Sloan."

"She's sleeping?" he gestured to Aria, who had stirred slightly at the disruption but had settled back in, pulling Cynthia's arm tighter around her as she did.

"Yeah, she barely made it past the opening of the movie."

"And now you're just…here? Watching the credits?"

"The movie just ended. I didn't want to wake her up by moving for the remote."

Mark looked around and spotted the remote on the coffee table. He grabbed it and turned off the TV. "So what's the plan?"

Glancing down at Aria's peaceful face, Cynthia shrugged. "I guess I'll have to wake her up before I go."

"No, I meant with her. What's your plan with her? Are you two, like, girlfriends?"

"We've technically only had one date."

Mark shrugged. "Okay."

"Why are you asking?"

"Just taking an interest in my roommate's life." He turned to the kitchen and opened the fridge, looking inside but not selecting anything.

After a moment, Cynthia sighed and asked, "Can I ask you a question, Sloan?"

He closed the fridge, walked back into the living room and sat on the opposite couch. "Sure."

Cynthia glanced at Aria, making sure she was still sleeping before continuing. "Why are you here?"

Mark leaned back and looked confused. "I thought the gossip had already made its way through the hospital. I slept with Addison, accidentally made a baby, and now I'm here because my kid is here."

"No, I heard all that. Why are you living with Aria?"

"She needed a roommate and I needed a place to sleep."

Cynthia blew out a breath and looked around the apartment. "This doesn't look like an apartment for roommates. This looks like her apartment." She gestured to the shelves that had photos of Aria, Callie, the kids, and some other photos that looked like Aria with friends that Cynthia didn't know. "This isn't a shared living space. Who was her roommate before you?"

Mark chuckled. "I have no idea. There's a bunch of kids' stuff shoved in the back of my closet. I'm assuming there wasn't a roommate, just the occasional family sleepover with Torres' kids."

"Then why did she all of a sudden need a roommate when you came to town?"

He raised his hands, palms out. "That's her story."

"But you know it?"

"No, I don't. I asked, she didn't want to talk about it, and I dropped it."

Cynthia bit the inside of her lip and chewed on it thoughtfully.

He watched her for a moment before asking, "You want some humble advice?"

She debated. "…What?"

"Don't sabotage it. If you want to know something, ask her. You're overthinking." Mark stood and walked over to the couch, slapping Aria's knee and startling her awake. She blinked up at him. "Hey, LT. I'm hungry. Can I have the rest of that chicken stuff you made the other day?"

"Uh…yeah, sure." She took off her glasses and rubbed her eyes, groaning as Mark went into the kitchen to heat up his leftovers. She looked up at Cynthia. "I fell asleep. I'm so sorry."

Cynthia smiled as Aria adjusted and turned to look at her. "You don't have to apologize. The movie wasn't very good anyway. You were snoring though."

"I was not!" Aria playfully hit her shoulder.

"Okay, okay. You weren't. You are a surprisingly quiet sleeper."

Aria shrugged. "Yeah. It used to freak my dad out all the time."

Laughing, Cynthia leaned in for a kiss and smiled as Aria brought her hand up to tangle in her hair, deepening it. Cynthia broke away and glanced into the kitchen, where Mark was leaning against the counter with his arms crossed, watching them. "Mark is still here."

Aria looked over and shrugged, leaning in to kiss Cynthia's neck. "So let's make his night." She pulled the other woman in for another fierce kiss and maneuvered so she was straddling Cynthia's lap.

As she felt Aria grind her hips down against her Cynthia called out, "Mark, leave now!"

Aria laughed as Mark grabbed his plate from the microwave and escaped into his bedroom, closing his door loudly.

The next day, Callie tracked down her sister in the ortho lab. She knocked on the door and held up the sandwich and soda she had gotten from the cafeteria and waited for Aria to gesture for her to come in.

"Hey, Cal!"

"Hey! I got you food. I heard you were stuck in the lab all day and figured you needed sustenance."

"Thank you." Aria took off her gloves and threw them in the trash, ripping open the sandwich and taking a big bite. "We're all taking turns with the cartilage stuff and today is my day. Do you have a minute to stay?"

"I was hoping to. I feel like we haven't had a chance to catch up in a while. How are…things?"

Aria smirked. "Trying to ask about my love life, Cit?"

"If you want to tell me." Callie shrugged. "I feel bad that I don't know anything about this part of your life. I should have asked more."

"Hey. You were busy with marriage, three kids, and becoming a kickass cardio god."

"Still. Do you want to talk about it?"

She shrugged. "There's not a lot to tell. I meant it when I said that if I met someone special, I would tell you. I dated around a bit, but I hadn't found the one."

"Hadn't found? Is there a reason that's in the past tense?"

Aria tried to fight off the smile that was pulling at her mouth. "I don't know yet."

"That's fair. Was it okay that I talked Cynthia into coming over last night?"

"Yeah." Aria finally let the smile come through. "I wound up falling asleep, but I made it up to her." She winked at her sister who chuckled uncomfortably.

"So…you guys are sleeping together? You've done that?"

"Um…" Aria nodded. "Yeah."

"When did…I know you said that your first time with a woman was a when you were drunk, but how did you…how…"

"Spit it out, Cal."

"How did you know what to do? With a woman?"

"How did you know what to do your first time with a man?"

"I didn't! That's why I'm asking!"

Aria laughed at her sister's distress. "Callie…all the parts that Arizona has? You have them too. Do what you would like to have done and then just listen to her. I promise you it's not as scary as you're making it out to be."

Callie sighed deeply.

"So if you're asking about this, I assume things are going well with Arizona?"

"We've only kissed!"

"Okay."

"But I've really enjoyed that. The kissing."

"Alright. That's a good sign."

"Allegra walked in on one."

"What?! What did she say? What did you say?"

Callie shrugged. "She asked if Arizona had an ouchie on her face. She thought I was kissing a boo-boo."

"God, I love that kid." Aria laughed.

"I need to be more careful when the kids are around. They're having a hard enough time with the split; I don't need to start bringing around some woman to confuse them. Oh god, Aria, how am I going to explain it to the kids?"

"Okay, well, like you said, now is not the time. You'll figure it out. Those are some smart kids you made; they'll get it."

Cynthia was sitting in Arizona's office with her elbows on the desk and her head in her hands. "I just don't understand why he's living there."

Arizona rolled her eyes at her friend and poked at her arm with a pencil. "Why do you care so much?"

"I understand needing roommates. She's a resident; it makes sense in Seattle. But her apartment doesn't look like she's ever had to share it. So why is he there?"

"You could always ask her."

"And make her think I don't trust her?"

"Do you trust her?"

Cynthia dropped her head to the desk. "I want to."

"You can't let what happened with Katrina affect this relationship."

"Zona, we don't say that name."

"You've gotta let it go, Cynthia. Katrina was a terrible person who slept with her roommate because she was selfish and awful."

"Her male roommate."

"Does that matter?"

Cynthia sat back in her chair and huffed out a breath. "Of course not. I'm just…drawing the parallel."

"Does Aria remind you of her at all?"

"No…"

"Obviously not. Because I wouldn't let you date her in the first place if she did. I never liked Katrina."

"I know you didn't."

"You didn't either, really. You said the sex was bad."

"The sex was bad."

"How's the sex with Little Torres?"

"Oh my god," Cynthia breathed out with a huge smile. "So good. She's…well, let's just say we're very compatible."

"Okay, then focus on that. Forget about Mark."

"Easier said than done." Cynthia shook her head. "Now it's your turn. What's going on? Are you and California getting a Uhaul soon?"

Arizona chuckled. "No, we're…I don't really know what we are, I guess."

"What do you mean?"

"We agreed to see what happens, but we don't have a concrete plan."

"You guys haven't even officially been on a date, have you?"

Arizona put her hand to her forehead. "Oh my god, we haven't even officially been on a date."

"That's easy enough to fix, Zone. Just ask her out."

Looking down at her hands, Arizona admitted, "I told Tim about her."

"And?"

"He's worried."

"He's your big brother, he's always going to worry. But what could he possibly have to worry about?"

Arizona's eyes got big and she looked at her friend like she was crazy. "The woman is straight, married, and a mom."

"Uh, no." Cynthia held up one finger. "She's definitely not straight." She held up a second finger. "She's getting divorced, and from what we know, it hasn't been much of a relationship for a while now." She held up a third finger. "Well, the mom thing is true. That's the only thing you can be worried about, but honestly, Zone, that's on you. You need to make the call if you're okay with it or not."

"I know I do."

"I haven't spent a ton of time with them, but they seem like pretty great kids."

Arizona sighed. "They are. Gus fell asleep on me the other night and it was…"

"It was what?"

"Really sweet." She couldn't help but smile at the memory. "He was all cuddled into my chest and sleepy and…"

"And what?"

"And I suddenly saw a life with kids that didn't petrify me. But then that thought is what scares me. Am I willing to give up what I want my life to be for this woman?"

"Are you giving it up or are you growing and changing?"

"When did you get so smart?"

"So have you dated anyone that I know?" Callie was happy that her sister was opening up to her and stayed in the lab longer than she was planning to, enjoying the conversation.

"Um…I wouldn't really call it dating, but do you remember Dad's friend Jimmy? His son and I hooked up a few times."

"Allan?"

"Mmm…wasn't it Adam?"

"You don't remember? How many people have you slept with?"

Aria shrugged. "I honestly have no idea. I didn't keep track. I had a…colorful track record for a while. I've calmed down over the years. Why? What's your number?

"There were only a couple of people before Owen."

"Since we're talking about sex…can I ask how it was with Owen?" Aria laughed when Callie's eyebrows rose. "He just seems kind of tightly wound. I imagine that translates either into some crazy stuff or being totally boring in the bedroom."

Callie's nose wrinkled and she laughed. "It was pretty boring, honestly."

"Oh no," Aria laughed. "I was afraid of that."

"How…how is it with Cynthia?"

"Honestly?" Aria waited for her sister to nod before continuing. "Really, really hot. So, after our date we went back to her place, right? We're on the couch, making out, hands are wandering, and the couch is kind of next to the sliding glass door by her balcony. Lights are on in the apartment, so technically, anyone looking in can see inside. She pulls away and pretty much growls, 'I want to get you where my neighbors can't see you,' and leads me into the bedroom. So simple, but it was so hot, Cal. And the rest of the evening didn't disappoint."

"Is it different? Sleeping with men versus with women?"

Aria thought about it. "I think the bottom line is that it's always going to depend on the person. But, yes, it's different. Not in a scary way."

The two sisters looked up when they heard a knock on the door. Surprised to see Owen standing outside of the lab with a scowl on his face, Aria gestured for him to come in.

Owen opened the door slightly and poked his head in the opening. "Callie. Can I talk to you?"

"Of course. What's up?"

Owen glanced at Aria and looked back to his soon-to-be ex-wife. "In private?"

"Oh, come on, Owen," Aria said. "We're all family."

Callie shrugged. "We can talk in front of Aria."

Owen stepped into the room, making sure the door was closed behind him and stepped towards Callie with a dark look on his face. "Why were you kissing Arizona Robbins in our kitchen last night?"
