As Izuku's unconscious body began to plummet, people noticed. And like people normally did, they began to panic, they didn't know what to do. But someone did. A blur of brown dashed past, running off a rubble ramp, and gave a mighty leap. With a single hand, the 8'5" young lady leapt into the air as if she was weightless. She caught the rabbit boy with a single hand, tucking him to her chest. He had saved her earlier; it was only right she return the favor. She carefully began to float down, and as her feet touched the ground, and the boy opened his eyes.
She began to smile; glad she had managed to catch him. But when he opened his eyes to look back at her, they filled with panic. He jolted back and fell out of her hands. He bounced against the floor before quickly scrambling back. He was breathing heavily, eyes darting around.
He began to make panicked squeaking noises, letting out a higher pitched one than before when he had tried to lean on his broken arm.
"Don'ttouchmedon'ttouchmedon'ttouchme" Was what was replaying throughout his head as he squeezed his eyes shut, as he began taking breaths to calm himself. His arm hurt like crazy, and he could feel blood starting to drip off of it.
"Oh dear, what've you done to yourself." Said an elderly female voice. It reminded him of the doctor's voice. But it seemed…kinder. There was a kiss planted on his forehead, his eyes flung open and he flipped himself back over. Taking a flaming swipe at whatever dared. Then there was a hard hit to his head. He squeaked and flung his arms up to grasp the spot where he was hit.
"Now you need to calm down!" Spoke a short old lady. Izuku looked at her. He's pretty sure he's heard of her, Recovery Girl. His captor used to say that she could be a problem with her…
He looked at his previously broken arm.
Healing. He flexed his fingers as someone dropped some exposition about recovery girl. His captor was right, her quirk was strong.
"Young one, would you mind coming with me for a while?" Asked recovery girl.
UA, ???
As Izuku walked through the halls, he couldn't help but feel anxious. He walked alongside Recovery Girl on all fours, looking at all the walls, and the doors he passed. He began to think some things over. First, the fact that he was a walking right next to a hero, who had come to help him back in that place with all the robots and buildings. He must be in UA! He should be safe now! That lady probably knew better than to just come into a place full of heroes. His walk came to an end in front of a door. Recovery Girl gestured for him to go in. He stood up, glancing back at her nervously. He pushed the door open, entered, and closed it behind him. There was a desk, to its side was a cart with some things on it. There was a chair in front of the desk too, but that was boring.
"Please! Take a seat!" A voice from behind the desk. He complied, he was surprised by how friendly the voice was, and how at ease it made him feel. He climbed on to chair, coming face to face with…
"You might be wondering, am I a bear? A mouse? A rabbit like yourself? Well the truth is that I am-"
Rabbit squeak
Nozomi looked down at the boy.
"H-How did you know I was a- never mind. You see, I want to talk about your current situation, and it's future." Nozomi said. Izuku tilted his head confused. Nozomi giggled to herself.
"I'm sure your aware of your location right now, yes?"
"Yu-UA." Nozomi nodded, mainly at the verification that he was capable of speech.
"So you know this is a hero school? Where young women go to train to become heroes? Right?" Izuku's face went blank. Surprisingly, he hadn't known that. The only words he ever heard associated with the place were 'damn heroes.' He shook his head no, his ears flopping against his chest. Nozomi analyzed how uneducated All for One had left the boy about the world for who knows how long. Most likely having fed him lies that he refused to swallow. Which just left him further in the dark about the world.
"Can I be a hero?" Nozomi's gaze sharpened on to him. She didn't notice earlier, but despite how fiercely he could fight, his voice was soft, quiet, like it wanted nothing to do with the troubles of the world. Yet it was asking to help deal with them.
"Excuse me?" Nozomi said, just making sure that this is what the boy wanted.
"Can I be a hero?" He repeated again.
"I wanna help people. I don't want them to be like me." He had explained. As Nozomi looked at his eyes, she could see how worn the skin/fur around them was. Years of sleepless nights and constant exhaustion laid there.
"Of course! We just need to get you properly settled here first. Can I have your name?" Izuku nodded avidly. It never occurred to him that HE could be a hero! He could beat his captor himself!
"Izuku!"
3 Days Later
Izuku walked through the now busy hallways of UA. He was holding a box over his head, making his way to the teacher's lounge. He was supposed to meet a 'Shoki Aizawa' there, and she would be able to help him with his new belongings. He was glad Nozomi got him a box of things he liked. He also liked that the gifts weren't surprise swimming lessons with Nomus. He came across another door and set his box of this to the ground in front of him. He leapt up, kicking the door three times with the little air time he had. He landed, and picked his box back up. The door slid open, revealing a shaggy looking woman with a white scarf around her neck, and eyes more tired than Izuku's. Izuku looked down at his box, and opened it. He found a card with her picture and her name.
"Sh-Sshoki Aizawa?"
"Shiko, but yeah, that's me. Come on in." She said, beckoning him in. He walked in, letting Shiko lead him to the single couch in the room. He opened his box, containing a tooth brush, some tooth paste, a phone, and a notebook. He was glad Nozomi was so nice. He took out the notebook, asking a blonde lady for a pencil. She handed him one with a wide but friendly smile.
"There ya' go little listener!" He nodded, opening to the first page, and began writing. On the book's cover, was:
Free
