Chapter 2 Lunch
Mina and Kirishima sat down on either side of Izuku.
Izuku looked surprised. "Y-you shouldn't be here."
"We're curious. What have you done to get 63 detentions?"
"Uh a mixture between letting others blame things on me and not turning in my homework because Kacchan blew it up."
They gaped.
"Who's Kacchan?"
Suddenly a yell followed by an explosion sounded throughout the cafeteria. Izuku flinched, but didn't look surprised..
"The guy who just made that explosion. He's the guy in class with the spiky hair and red eyes."
Kirishima and Mina frowned.
"What makes them do that?" Mina asked.
"I-I'm quirkless." Izuku waited for some kind of insult, or for them to at least leave.
"So?" Asked Kirishima.
Izuku looked up, surprised they hadn't left. "S-so... what?"
"What does being quirkless have to do with being bullied?" Asked Mina.
"W-well when you're q-quirkless, you don't have a q-quirk, so those w-with quirks especially strong quirks p-pick on the quirkless because w-we are d-different and aren't powerful. W-we aren't seen as h-human." Izuku explained.
"T-that's so not manly!" Gasped Kirishima.
"I'm sorry you have to go through that!" Mina cried.
"We'll be your friends though!" Kirishima smiled, bashing his fists together with a shark toothed grin.
"Yeah!" Mina squealed.
"R-really? Y-you're forfeiting any opportunity to make any other f-friends here though." Izuku gasped.
"You're so selfless, Midoria!" Cried Mina.
"We don't mind! Plus, who wants to be friends with someone who is like that anyway?" Kirishima grinned wider.
"Hey! After school, if you want to, we can introduce you to our friends Sero and Kaminari!" Mine cheered.
"Yeah!" Kirishima cheered with Mina.
"O-ok!" Izuku gave the cutest smile ever.
"Aww! You're so cute, Midoria!" Mina and Kirishima cried together.
"I-if we're friends, you can call me Izuku o-or if you have a n-nickname in m-mind."
"Ok! I'm going to call you Izu! You can call me Mina! Or a nickname! I love nicknames!" Mina cheered again.
"Yeah same here Izu-bro! Ejiro or a nickname!"
"O-ok." Izuku gave another smile.
The bell decided to ring then.
"Oh! We need to go!" Izuku gasped.
The tree got up and ran from the cafeteria and got to the classroom about 30 seconds before the teacher came in.
"Izuku! Detention! We got a report that you tried to attack a student during lunch!" The teacher yelled.
"What" cried Mina and Kirishima. "He was with us in the cafeteria the whole time! Several kids and teachers saw us!"
"Quiet or you both will have detention, too." The teacher frowned.
The two looked at each other, and Izuku got a bad feeling. What are they planning on doing?
Suddenly they both stood up and yelled at the same time;
"You are a degenerate(an immoral or corrupt person) jerk, disgrace of a teacher, and-!"
"DETENTION!" The teacher yelled.
Izuku groaned. He hadn't thought they'd do that. What even was that? It sounded as if the author was trying, and failing, at making a cool scene but keeping it pg. He shook his head. What was he doing? Breaking the fourth wall? No way. This was really happening. He let a small smile claim his face. He finally had some real friends for the first time since he was 4. Today was a good day after all.
