Whoooooo! It's SPOOKY TIME!

Chapter 3: Instincts

"A useless quirk", All Might quietly mumbled before flinching in pain and begun to clutch his side and emitted steam. "Oh no, holy shit, goddammit..."

"It might've been because I don't have a quirk that would give me some form of ability, but I've always made fun of... Maybe that's why... I don't know...", Izumi said as she looked at her hands while All Might got covered completely in steam. Somehow she didn't notice it. "But I think saving people is really cool! Saving people with a fearless smile. I want to be the greatest hero, like you...", Izumi said with a bright smile and a waving tail before looking up to see a skeletal man, covered in steam before screaming from fear. "Y-Y-You're deflating! W-Wait up until now... Huh?! Wait! Are you a fake?! You're so skinny!"

"Haaagh... I'm All Might...", the man said before coughing out blood and making Izumi scream once more.

Somewhere else in the city...

"Huh, where am I", said the bottled-up villain in a dark ally. "What happened?"

Texas! Smash..!

"Oh yeah, that bastard... If it weren't for him-"

"Hey Katsuki, aren't you childhood friends with Midoriya", said one of Bakugos friends as they walked in the alley.

"You went a little overboard today...", said the other friend as Bakugo drank a soda.

"It's her fault for getting dumb ideas...", Bakugo said as he kicked the bottled villain, breaking the bottle-cap.

"C'mon, don't let it get to you..."

"She's an idiot dreaming like a kid", Bakugo said as he scowled and exploded the can in his hands. "Just seeing her tail waving as she talks about it pisses me!"

His friends looked at each-other before sighing. "Then how about we go to the arcade for a change of pace? You'll come too, right Katsuki?"

"Sure."

"Then let's go to the one in-front of the station", one friend said as the mud slithered on the alley ground. "I heard here's lots of prey there..."

"You're terrible...", the other friend responded.

"What?! If we get caught, it'll end-up on my record", Bakugo shouted as his friends then saw something rising behind him.

"What the hell is that!"

"An invisible cloak with a great quirk", said the villain as he gathered behind Bakugo and opened his mouth.

Back at the roof...

"Well... You know how the guys at the pool are constantly flexing and posturing", All Might explained as Izumi took the image into her head and blushed slightly. "It's like that."

"N-No way...", Izumi shouted in disbelief. "It can't be... All Might's fearless... He saves everyone with a smile... He's the greatest...", she continued before All Might sighed.

"A fearless smile, huh", he said before sitting down. "Now that you've seen me like this, young lady, make sure you don't write about it online, even accidentally", he continued as he lifted his shirt revealing a giant wound around his ribs, making Izumi flinch and her tails and ears hairs stand up. "It was an injury I got from an enemy five years ago. Half of my respiratory system was completely destroyed, and I lost my stomach. I've been emancipated from repeated surgeries and the aftereffects. Right now, I can only work as a hero for about three hours a day."

"That can't be... Five years ago... Was that when you fought Toxic Chainsaw?"

"You're well informed. But a punk like that couldn't defeat me. The fight was not made public to the world. I didn't want it to be made public. I want to save people with a smile. The Symbol of Peace cannot be daunted by evil. I smile to show the pressure of heroes and to trick the fear inside me", he said as he clutched his hand before looking back at Izumi. "Pros are always risking their lives. I cannot simply tell you 'You can become a hero even without a practical power.'"

Izumi looked at him in shock, realizing what he was saying. "I-I see..."

"But if you want to help others, then you could become a police officer. They often get teased because they get villains delivered to their doorsteps, but it's a fine occupation", All Might explained as he walked to the roof exit. "It's not bad to dream. But you have to be realistic, young lady", he said before walking away, leaving Izumi standing on the roof.

"Now, I need to quickly get this guy...", All Might said as he walked down the stairs, trying to find the bottled villain before noticing an explosion in the distance. "Don't tell me..."

Back at the roof...

Izumi notices the same explosion. "A villain?! What hero will go to the scene?!"

I cannot simply say, "You can become a hero, even without a practical quirk..."

Those words rung in her head, making her dismiss her enthusiasm and she walks towards the exit.

Several minutes later...

All Might is running towards the smoke and fire as sirens and people wail in the wind. And in the Tatooin shopping center an explosion occurs, shattering the glass panes of the nearby area as people duck for cover, while escaping the collapsing building.

"It's a villain", a civilian shouts as a group of heroes arrive who stare in horror at the scene before them. A child within a mud-formed villain.

"A child was taken hostage", Death Arms shouts in confusion. "You coward", he shouts before charging at the villain, delivering a punch. But as it impacts the villain, his fist begins to sink into the villains body. "What is this", he continues as he tries to pull his hand out of the mud. "I can't grab a hold", he shouted before the villain slammed him into the wall.

"Death Arms", another hero shouts before dodging another attack. "Crap!"

"Don't come near me", the villain yells before the blond headed child frees his head from the mud.

"I won't let sewage like this swallow me", Bakugo yelled as he released an explosion that knocked back everyone, but also broke apart the surrounding area.

"Oh man, what power! I really hit the jackpot", the villain said as he tightened his grip on the boy. "With this power, I could take revenge on that guy!"

The heroes and civilians looked in horror as the villain exploded into a mass of tentacles.

"Whoa!"

"What is that?!"

"Is he a big-shot villain?"

"Look! It's Mt. Lady", a civilian shouted as the giant hero rushed to the scene. But as she was about to enter the shopping center, she stopped and looked down.

"Crap! I won't fit! I need at least two lanes!"

Just then, Kamui Woods arrived and rescued two of Bakugos friends who were trapped in between the flames.

"I don't do well in fires! I'll let someone else handle it!"

"Yeah, sure...", Backdraft shouted as he fired water at flames. "But I'm a bit busy! Is the fire truck here yet", he said before looking over at the other heroes. "How are things over there!"

"He's sticky and hard to grab", Death Arms shouted. "The child has a strong quirk and is struggling with him! But thanks to his quirk, it's a minefield out there! It's hard to anything with the flames around here! It's hard to fight this triple play!"

Just then the villain prepared an attack.

"Crap!"

And the villain slammed his tentacle at the heroes.

"It's no use! There's no-one who can handle this at the scene yet!"

"We just have to wait for someone with a more effective quirk to arrive!"

As another flame erupts, Backdraft fires another stream of water. "Let's hold back the damage until then!"

"Yes, I am sure someone will show-up", Kamui Woods said as he lifted more civilians from danger.

I feel bad for that child, but he'll have to bear it for a little longer, Death Arms thought as e clenched his fist at the sight.
