Uraraka's stomach was tied in a knot as she walked to school the next morning. She wasn't sure how she was supposed to face Bakugou. She had barely gotten any sleep that night, thinking about the previous days and no matter what she did, she saw those piercing red eyes under her eyelids whenever she closed her eyes.

She stopped in her tracks and smacked her hands on either side of her cheeks to calm herself. Don't worry about it. Don't even think about it. Uraraka took a deep breath and let her body relax slowly before she continued down the path to the school. Besides, it's not even like you have to worry about it. You sit in opposite directions in class and normally don't even talk together. It'll be fine. Just fine.

"Uraraka," the voice calling her name from behind made Uraraka's body stop immediately, she had almost forgotten about him. Her heart started to pump ever so slightly faster against her chest and she turned around with a smile on her lips as she always did, with a small yet visible blush on her cheeks.

"Good morning, Deku."

"Good morning," he nodded with a smile as he walked up beside her so they could walk together for the rest of the way to school. It wasn't a usual occurrence for them to walk together, mostly because Midoriya always met earlier than Uraraka did. "You're up awfully early, Uraraka."

"Yeah I," she looked down at her feet as they continued to walk, "I couldn't really sleep," she didn't feel like telling Midoriya the real truth as to why she woke up early.

"Hey, Uraraka," Midoriya started, looking timidly to the side towards Uraraka.

"Yeah?" Her smile was big as she had slowly started to relax again through the short walk, they were almost at the school.

"Do you think … I mean … Can we probably," Midoriya inhaled deeply and steadied his breath, they were almost at the entrance of the school, and a few of the early students walked past them mumbling soft murmurs of good mornings to each other, "can we talk after classes today?" A small blush was dusted on his cheeks and his hands were starting to fidget.

Uraraka could feel her face heat up, but she tried to fight it off. "Sure."

"Then," Midoriya let out a small sigh, "I'll meet you here at the end of the day."

Uraraka wasn't really sure as to why they wouldn't just walk together instead of meeting up, yet she brushed it off and just agreed. This would be good, both nervous and excited, Uraraka gave Midoriya her brightest smile as they walked together into class. All the time she could almost feel the heat of Midoriya next to her and she felt like they were almost close enough for her to brush her fingers against his. It could be so easy, yet she didn't dare to.

"Move," a deep voice growled from behind them and Uraraka could recognize it right away. It was the same voice that had confronted her not more than half a day ago. Her entire body stiffened as soon as she heard it.

Midoriya moved closer to Uraraka, giving Bakugou more space to pass them, "Good morning Kacchan."

Bakugou huffed as he practically ignored his childhood friend, his eyes only staying on Uraraka as he walked into the classroom not too far away from where they currently stood. He never uttered a word and it somehow made Uraraka more nervous than she had planned to be.

Uraraka did not expect Bakugou to meet so early in the morning. Didn't he usually come into the classroom at the very last minute? Why was he this early today? Just don't think about it! She tried to get her mind off the thought as she came into the classroom and ignored the piercing red eyes that were looking at her every movement as she walked to the back of the classroom and sat down on her seat.

Not really knowing what to do with herself as there was still around twenty minutes until class started, and most of their classmates came only around five minutes before the bell would ring - much to Iida's dismay, Uraraka thought she would look through her phone for once, maybe play one of the simple games that she had, like the classic, Snake. Although when Uraraka started to ruffle through her bag, her hands were not met with the familiar small flip phone. She looked into the small pockets of her bag, but nothing. As panic started to build up in her chest she shoved her hands into the pockets of her uniform, only to be met with nothing. She frantically looked through her bag one more time, ignoring the glares she was starting to get from the few of her classmates that were in the room at this point.

"Uraraka, what's wrong?" Midoriya asked, his eyebrows scrunched together in slight worry as he stood up from his seat and walked over to her.

"My, my phone, I cannot find my phone," her voice was shaking and went up a note higher than normal.

"Did you drop it somewhere?"

"I must have, I know I had it on me before I left my apartment this morning," Uraraka tried her best to keep her voice steady.

"We'll go look for it once the class is over," Midoriya tried his best to reassure her, placing his hand softly on Uraraka's small shoulder. She flinched slightly at the sudden contact as it got her out of her thoughts. That flip phone was the only way she could contact her parents and she couldn't afford to buy a new one. The thought made her stomach turn uncomfortably.

"Yeah," she nodded softly, sitting down on her seat once again, placing her face against the table, suddenly all the energy she had, had left her body.

Midoriya looked at her worried, yet thought it would be best to leave her alone and slowly went back to his own seat. His eyes never left her slouched form, not even when the rest of the class came in through the door or when one of the teachers started the lecture.

Uraraka had no idea what kind of class was going on, all she could think about was where she could have dropped her phone and what she could do if she never found it again. Maybe I can get a part-time job to save up for a phone. But I guess we're not allowed to work on the side of our hero studies. I guess I have to write them letters instead. The response will be significantly slower then, but at least I'm able to hear from them.

"Uraraka?" A soft voice ripped her out of her thoughts and she blinked to see Midoriya stand in front of her desk, next to him were Iida and Tsuyu. All three of them were looking at her with those soft expressions only worried friends could have.

"Huh? Why aren't you on your seats?" She looked around her and saw that most of their classmates were already leaving the classroom. "Is the class already over?" Uraraka looked at the clock that hung on the wall and saw that surely, it was already lunch break. Several hours had passed without her even noticing it. How was that even possible?

"We thought that we would help you look for your phone during the break," Midoriya said with a smile, followed by the other two.

As Uraraka looked at her friends she couldn't help but smile, "you guys."

A little more clear in the head, Uraraka rose to her feet and the four of them slowly walked back towards her apartment, to see if she had dropped it on her way to school.

"So, what kind of phone is it?" Iida asked as they all had exited the UA building, looking on the ground as they all walked slowly.

Uraraka immediately could feel the blush on her cheeks, "A pink … Flip … phone," she mumbled the last words, embarrassed by the thought that she must be the only person in their generation with a flip phone. Even ten-year-olds have smartphones these days.

None of her friends really reacted to the new piece of information, instead, they just kept looking on the ground, inspecting the area for anything pink.

The farther they went, the more panic Uraraka could feel in her heart, she needed her phone. How else was she going to call her parents? How else was she going to make sure they were alright?

A large and warm hand wrapped gently around her small trembling hands and when she looked up, her heart started to calm down just a bit. Tsuyu looked at her with those eyes that always told the truth and a smile worked its way on her flat lips. "We'll find it, hun," She reassured her and for some reason, Uraraka couldn't help but agree with her friend, so she nodded and squeezed her hand.

After almost half an hour of searching, none of them had found Uraraka's phone and they had searched almost everywhere they possibly could.

"The break is about to be over in five minutes, we have to go back," Iida announced, his hands gesturing in his usual robotic movements.

It wasn't like Uraraka really wanted to get back to class, but she figured they could maybe look again once the last class was over for the day. Only, it would start to get dark soon after that, so they had to hurry.

With not much enthusiasm, they went back to their school, none of them said much, although Tsuyu's hand never let go of Uraraka until they reached their classroom. Most of their classmates were already sitting in their seats, waiting for the teacher to come in.

Suddenly when Uraraka got to her desk, she almost let go of a shriek and a smile fell over her lips because there it was. On her desk, her pink flip phone was placed as if it had been there all the time, even though Uraraka knew that was far from the truth.

"My phone, it's here," she whispered under her breath as she grabbed it softly in her hands and placed it against her chest quickly before she looked at it, not really daring to believe it was hers.

"You found it!" Midoriya said with a grin as he had followed Uraraka over to her seat, she turned around quickly.

"Someone must have found it," she looked at her friends with a small smile, "thank you for looking for it together with me, though, I'm sorry you missed your lunch break," her smile faltered slightly.

"Don't worry about it," Iida said, his smile was soft yet stiff at the same time, the only smile Iida could pull off.

"We're friends after all," Tsuyu said with a smile and Midoriya nodded, a small blush was dusted on his cheeks that wasn't noticed by Uraraka.

"Thank you," she said with a fragile voice right before their teacher came into the room, letting the class start after everyone was seated again.

Uraraka could hardly concentrate again, although this time it was not because of sorrow or worry, it was because of happiness and relief. She was practically beaming the last couple of hours before the school day was over.

"Oi, Cheeks," Bakugou called out to her as they were one of the only people left in the class as most had already left the building.

Uraraka instantly flinched and she slowly turned around from packing her bag to look at the blond who stood at the other side of the room, his hands were shoved in his pockets and a scowl on his face. Trademark Bakugou.

"Ba-Bakugou," she practically whimpered, her voice shaking slightly. As she had packed up her bag she slowly put it on her shoulder and slowly sneaked over towards the door, hoping that she could just sneak away from Bakugou and never have to look directly into those piercing red eyes that felt like he could look at your soul. Focus, Uraraka!

"Why did you run off yesterday?" His voice was gruffy and deep and it almost sent shivers down Uraraka's spine.

"Uhm.." Uraraka looked for the exit and as soon as Bakugou's eyes looked anywhere other than at her, she dashed out of the room as fast as she could. She wasn't really sure why she was avoiding him. She was embarrassed and wasn't sure how to face him. He looked angry. Intense, at least, and Bakugou wasn't known to be a softie.

Bakugou stood alone in the classroom as he saw the curvy girl dash off through the door. Her eyes had been huge and it almost looked like her face got white when she heard him call out to her.

"Fucking shit," Bakugou almost mumbled to himself as he ran his hands frustratingly through his hair and sat on his desk.

When Uraraka walked out of the building, she saw that Midoriya was standing at the gate, she had almost forgotten about their agreement to meet up after school, slightly guilty she walked up to him, a knot was forming in her stomach together with a bunch of butterflies and a blush was starting to colour her cheeks. "Hey, Deku," she said softly.

"Hey," his smile was almost blinding and his green eyes shining.

"So, what did you want to talk about?" She held her hands behind her back and tried her hardest not to look into those shiny green eyes.

"You see, uhm," Midoriya started to fumble with his hands and for a short moment, Uraraka started to dread that he was going to mumble endlessly.

Instead, Uraraka took a small breath and smiled, she could feel the nervousness Midoriya emitted, her hands were already starting to sweat, and for some reason, Bakugou's face flashed before her eyes before she shook the image away.

"Tomorrow!" Midoriya's voice grew an octave before he cleared his throat and looked determined at Uraraka with a small smile, "Do you have some free time? I thought we could meet up and..." he started to slowly trail off.

"You mean like a date?" Uraraka could feel her heart beat strongly against her chest and her cheeks started to heat up. Was this really happening?

Out of the crook of her eye she saw someone walk past them and out of the UA gate, but didn't pay them much attention, she couldn't look away from Midoriya's blushing smile.

"Yeah, if you don't mind that is."

"I don't!" Her eyes widened in embarrassment and she looked at the ground, "I don't mind … At all," her voice was soft now and only the soft sounds of birds chirping could be heard in the background along with the steps of the person from before, maybe if Midoriya tried hard enough, he would be able to listen to Uraraka's pounding heart.
