Here is the next chapter. I hope you like it. Please read and review thanks love Hermione xxx
Neville had spent ages in the back of the broom shop testing out and choosing the perfect broom for him. Initially he had lost total control of his broom but he was stunned when the shop owner was not mad and just laughed at him. Apparently this happened to everyone. Neville was then further stunned when he was sent next door to the magical ear, eye, nose and throat specialist. It turned out he had some undiagnosed fluid in his middle ear making him highly unsteady something the goblin cleansing ritual hadn't been looking for. As it was so far inside his ear canal it had been missed but it was nothing that one painful potion later couldn't fix. The wizarding solution was to give him a potion which essentially boiled the fluid instantly so it immediately turned into steam and escaped the ears that way. It was designed to be fast and efficient so pain wasn't really considered. He was given a pepper up potion after wards and felt much better. He didn't feel so dizzy often now. The goblin ritual had changed everything about him this was just the cherry on top.
The broom he'd chosen was the brand new Nimbus Eclipse. It fit him perfectly. When he'd gone out to the quidditch pitch to meet Harry and Draco he really did feel better than he ever had. In fact Augusta had been stunned by how much he'd changed. He'd even gotten himself a girlfriend in Luna Lovegood a gorgeous forth year he really adored. He thought he'd have to force her into getting her own goblin ritual but she was more than willing to go through with it needing little to no encouragement. If it would make him feel better she would do it. When she emerged her eyes looked clearer and she was taller. She had informed Neville someone she didn't know had discovered she was a true seer earlier on in her life and had cursed her to spout nonsense every time she'd had a vision. She'd even given a few prophecies to the goblins which they were entirely stunned to receive.
She had claimed to not understand what she was telling them about as she was suggesting they invest money in something she didn't understand. She had no way of knowing they themselves did understand it and instantly followed her advice. Because the used spell on her could not ever be reapplied using secret goblin methods they wouldn't share with her, when she had a vision she spoke clearly. They had initially thought it was coincidence that she had mentioned the Microsoft Company they'd been looking into but they had taken a risk on her and boy had that paid off. She was offered a job as a seer for the goblin nation and its clientele after school which she gladly accepted. Neville and her father were very proud of her. Augusta was stunned completely by the changes in Neville and in the man he was becoming. If he didn't like something he was doing or indeed something someone else was doing he now spoke up loud and proud. She had been stunned the first time he'd done it but was thankfully used to it by now. Those in Hufflepuff who had often seen him acting weak in Gryffindor had thankfully assumed it was only because that house didn't suit him well. He was fast becoming his own man and loving every moment of it.
He entered the pitch a little late to find Harry and Draco arriving at the same time from the other side which made him chuckle. Harry looked amazing though and made Neville pause momentarily in awe. "Harry mate you look incredible. It was about time for you to get some new clothes. I was afraid to say it before but as we know I'm not afraid to say anything anymore. You looked like shit good for you!" he said high fiving the stunned boy who was still adjusting to the new confident and outspoken Neville. Draco hadn't known Neville any other way so this wasn't surprising to him. Harry took out his firebolt and mounted it, Draco mounting his own Nimbus two thousand and four. He just loved that brand of broomstick so much but he would sometimes use Harry's broom when he allowed it. Neville took a deep breath and climbed onto the broomstick unaware of Rolanda Hooch who was walking through the grounds and had stopped to watch them with interest. She would never forget how scary and useless Neville had been on a broom. He'd nearly killed someone with his clumsiness on a broom. She stood a distance away waiting to intervene should anything go south.
Neville rose to meet them unsteadily at first but within minutes he'd gotten his bearings and was doing loops around the quidditch pitch. Harry and Draco where stunned when he did a loop the loop and a dive whilst pulling up only being brought back to reality by his laughing at their stunned expressions.
"Yes I was crap in first year but then again so were the cursed brooms…" he was about to continue but was interrupted by clapping which had him looking down in awe.
"Twenty points to Hufflepuff Mr Longbottom for some rather epic flying. It's some of the best flying I've seen in a long time. This just goes to show that a little encouragement and good brooms can help someone improve immensely. Personally I think you'd make a fine beater but this is just an opinion. Obviously you don't have to join your house quidditch team if it's not for you. Five points to Ravenclaw Mr Potter for helping your friend out when he needed it. Have a nice afternoon!" she said with a smile strolling away as they all gasped at the point gain, something they'd not seen coming. Neville was bursting at the seams with pride when she'd mentioned quidditch. His father had played quidditch as a chaser back in the day so maybe he should consider it.
Dumbledore watched from his window utterly stunned at how far Neville Longbottom had truly come. He was utterly astounded at how much better the boy now was and frowned deeply. Was Gryffindor truly not as good as he'd been thinking it was this whole time? No he reasoned it definitely wasn't. Harry and Neville were just weird and not suited to that house unfortunately. It did pain him to admit that to himself but he really did have no choice. Now everything was slowly going to hell with the order. Although no one had said anything to him he could tell no one trusted him much anymore after he'd claimed Harry would only be safe in their care and he'd been so much safer on his own. The fact that he'd been in a fidelioused house of his own with some mysterious secret keeper he would not give up under any circumstances was so annoying. Draco himself had been questioned and claimed that not only did he not know who it was but that if he did he wouldn't tell Dumbledore anyway. Since when were teenagers better then him? He knew best always even if he'd need to get them to see that. He absentmindedly eyed Harry in his new clothes with a scowl. He was never meant to look that good so he would be seen as weak by Voldemort. Now he'd never be seen as weak and Draco was making a laughing stock of Slytherin or at least that's what he assumed. It wasn't true at all of course.
He'd need to do something to reign the order back in again and gain control over them. Some members were starting to become independent with their own thoughts and ideas something he couldn't have if he was to regain control again. He was more than stunned when they'd all agreed that using the unforgiveables was out but they didn't need to do that to seriously harm the dark side. Molly had proven that when she'd been involved in an unprovoked attack and used a diffindo to the death eaters neck and sliced his jugular clean open killing him. That spell wasn't even a dark one. He found that most hard to swallow and more so that everyone in his fucking order was actually proud of her for not only not using a dark spell but using a light one which was not a stunner either. He'd need to plan a way to get back control and he'd be starting first thing tomorrow morning.
