Shirou Is Confused

He was supposed to be dead after they succeeded on killing that thing. Honestly, even with the manpower they possessed, it's a miracle they avoided human extinction...though most likely the Counter Force was doing the heavy lifting. Come to think of it, it's possible that Alaya is trying to recruit him right now but it is pretty unlikely seeing that it hasn't appeared yet.

Checking his surroundings, Shirou concluded that he must be in some sort of cave. Weirdly, Strange Plantlife surrounded him that didn't seem natural. Deciding to use Structural Analysis he turned on his magic circuits...only to switch them off just as quickly.

There is something wrong with the mana in the air, it's heavier than Fuyuki in a Holy Grail War which should be impossible since such rich Magical Energy was only present before the

Age of Man. Leading to the second anomaly, his atrophied low-quality magic circuits should have already exploded from the strain yet they feel more sturdy than usual.

'I wonder why' he thought briefly. He didn't expect to be informed immediately as unexpected situations are a recurring theme in his life.

{"Answer."} but apparently, the monotonous voice in his head did not agree on that.

{"The entity known as "Voice of The World" altered your body to be compatible with the element: magicule."}

Shirou POV

That Voice!

It's somehow familiar however I can't quite put my finger on it like the moment is missing from my memory. Not detecting any kind of mental tampering, I start to fish for information from this unknown being.

"What are you?" I questioned with as much calmness and authority I could muster.

{"Answer."}

{"I'm your Unique Skill: Great Sage"} the now dubbed "Great Sage" helpfully answered.

"Then Great Sage, what is a skill?" I inquired having no idea what the voice meant except the general meaning of the word which is not applicable here.

{"Answer."}

{"Skills are abilities that can be acquired in recognition of some form of personal growth. Its acquisition happens by having it inscribed onto the Soul by the Voice of the World or by other Skills."}

"Why do I have one and What is The Voice of the World?"

{"Answer."}

{"The Voice of The World is the system that governs and oversees all the laws on this planet. It has bestowed skills to you when you reincarnated in response to past deeds"}

"I see..." Realizing that I now have a second chance at life, I am left speechless. I don't know what to think, I was sure I would meet my end in that hill but it seems that time has not yet come.

Looking back at the herbs that I am standing on, I plucked one out of the ground and started to Structural Grasp it when suddenly-

Info: A Valuable herb that only grows in areas rich in magicules. (Note: Used best in healing potions)"}

"Magicules are the equivalent of Mana in this World, right?"

{"Correct"}

Okay, I better put some of that stuff in my pockets. It could prove helpful, I could also sell some of it to get some food and clothes wait...Looks like clothes don't survive reincarnation. Better cover myself up.

Judging the concept of creation.

Now that I'm fully clothed, the built-up tension from all the crazy events slowly fades away. Pulling my red hair...should have noticed that it would have given me my teen body instead of my old withered one. At least I don't look like Archer anymore.

Happy Shirou Day!

Yeah I know Rimuru's character is vital for the show and probably what made it great in the first place. The problem is that I feel if I add Rimuru It would limit my choices with Shirou and I'm not an experienced writer to go around that(plus if I attempted it, it would just be a repeat of the show with Shirou in some events and personally I would grow bored and stop writing altogether). I want to put my own spin on it no matter how bad it turns out or if it's just a rip-off from the original. (sorry if the chapter is short and badly written I just wanted to release the chapter today to celebrate) P.S: There is a plot-related reason why Shirou was given his teen body instead of the archer-like one it wasn't just to make him more Shirou-like.

P.S.S:I have a bit of a problem with when I'm adding some space between the paragraphs it deletes it. How can I fix that?

Skills (gained through the prologue)

Forgery: The ability to imitate skills that the bearer analyses (Great Sage, Structural Grasp). Skills that morph the body however can not be utilized because Shirou is not a slime-like Rimuru (if he tried the alteration would be permanent).

Mind Of Steel: All attacks that target the Mind are ineffective (like high-rank mental pollution). Gifts Battle Continuation equivalent to the resolve of the host (E, D, C, B, A and up), he can't do anything if his head is blown off though. Note: Long Periods of time with this skill active turn the user's thoughts machine-like, anything that isn't related to the battle will be dismissed.

Curse Resistance: It's self-explanatory

Note: like Projection, all skills copied are less effective than the originals in some form and obtain the subclass {Fake}.

Great Sage: It mostly functions the same except it isn't complemented by Predator but instead Structural Grasp.

Clairvoyance/Hawkeye: Same as Canon

Mind's Eye (True): Same as Canon

Magic Resistance: Same but Stronger

Cold Resistance&Heat Resistance: A little weaker than Canon as Shirou isn't a slime.

Before I forget, I took inspiration from MM007's Fate Recast on some things that I can't reveal because they are spoilers. It's a great fic, really enjoyed it 100% recommend it (Shirou x Artoria is the pairing if you are interested about that).
