Soon after everyone was safely out of the cenote and flying across the cityscape. Hector was stuck holding onto the cat's tail for his dear exitance. Miguel and Dante were sitting on her back, Imelda sat on her neck piloting the cat...

Todd meanwhile?

"WOO HOO!" Todd was crouched down on the Big Catto's head, holding onto his horns having the time of his life. Todd very slowly let go and stood up to his full height and spread out his arms "I'M KING OF THE WORLD!". He grabbed his phone and attached it to his selfie stick and hit record, before facing Imelda.

"Hey, Dona Imelda?" Todd began

"Qué?" she responded coldly

"Do you hate me?"

Imelda just looked at him coldly providing him with the answer

"Well, you're about to hate me even more!" Todd said matter-of-factly. Todd tapped his phone again.

Todd threw his free arm in the air before spinning around. Imelda just let out a heavy, annoyed sigh.

Todd then saw Dante flying next to him, sporting a new look "Whoa!" Todd shouted "Mega Evolution Dante!"

The big cat was then closing in on a landing site where the rest of the Riveras were waiting anxiously

The cat then landed and bowed down her head so Todd could disembark, instead he did a backflip off the cat before laying on the ground "That is the coolest thing I've ever done!" Todd declared softly. Todd stood back up and took off his helmet and goggles, placing them on the ground before running a hand through his hair. The cat then walked up to him and nuzzled him, Todd smiled and rubbed her chin and cheeks. Todd wrapped his arm around the cat's neck and took a selfie with her, he looked at the picture on his phone and smiled "That's a keeper!" He said happily while showing it to Papita.

Meanwhile, Miguel ran over to his family and was engulfed in a large embrace. "Where's your friend?" Tía Rosita asked while looking down at Miguel. They turned to see Papita resting her forehead on Todd's, gently purring while he rubbed her cheeks. Todd noticed them staring and walked toward them.

"Hey everyone," Todd said in a friendly tone "You worry about me? if you do you shouldn't, I mean you shouldn't have to" he rubbed the back of his head.

Imelda then turned her attention to Hector, her gaze hardening. "How many times must I turn you away?!" She shouted at him "I have spent decades protecting my family from your mistakes! You spend five minutes with Miguel and I have to fish him and his friend out of a cenote!"

Miguel ran in between them "No! It was my fault! Hector and Todd tried to convince me but I wouldn't listen! Hector's right nothing is more important than family"

Imelda looked at Miguel then at Hector. Meanwhile, todd just stood there unsure of what to say.

Miguel continued "Mama Imelda I'm ready to accept your blessing, all of it. But first, we should retrieve his photo from De la Cruz"

Imelda's looked at Miguel as if he grew a second head "What?!"

"So he can see Coco again! Hector should be on our ofrenda! he's part of our fami-"

"He left this family!" Imelda interrupted

"He tried to come back! But De La Cruz Murdered him!" Miguel quickly explained

Hector then spoke up "It's true Imelda..."

Imelda was internally wrestling with her emotions, She turned to Todd "You! Is this true?"

Todd just nodded silently

She turned back to Hector "So what if it's true?! You left me alone with a child to raise and I'm just supposed to forgive you?!"

Hector took a step forward "Emelda I-"

Suddenly a golden flourish pulsed through Hector's bones, Todd quickly catches him and slowly sits him down, Miguel immediately runs up to him.

"I-" Hector said softly "I'm running out of time, she's forgetting me" Todd slowly helped him back onto his feet and stood beside him as well as Miguel.

Imelda put a hand over her mouth in shock, Miguel then spoke up "You don't have to forgive him, but we shouldn't forget him either"

Imelda seemed regretful as she spoke "I've tried everything to forget you... I wanted Coco to forget you..."

Hector then cut her off "This is my fault, not yours, I'm so sorry Imelda..."

She turned to Miguel "If we help him get his photo back and when we send you home, No more music?"

"Family comes first, always"

She turned to Todd "And you will help as well?"

Todd gave a firm nod. Suddenly he felt breathless and put his hand over his heart. Miguel and Hector quickly were at his side "Casco are you okay?"

Todd just brushed them off "Yeah I'm fine just-" Todd's eyes began to flutter "- just..." Todd then collapsed onto the ground.

Miguel's eyes went wide as he knelt down and shook him gently, he put his ear to his chest...

...there was no heartbeat.

Everyone just looked in shock, he wasn't breathing and he made no movement, not anymore.

Papita walked up to him and nudged him gently with her muzzle, she then laid beside him and rested her muzzle on his chest, purring softly.

Suddenly golden wisps of light appeared where his heart and eyes were and a third wisp entered his mouth that was opened slightly. The big cat moved away at the sudden event.

Todd's eyes suddenly snapped open and he sat up, clenching his chest with his hand. "Todd you're okay!" Miguel said with relief as he and Hector helped him up.

Todd then noticed everyone staring at him "What?"

Hector spoke up "Todd your eyes are glowing"

Todd pulled out his phone and put on the selfie camera and saw the whites his eyes were now glowing gold and his irises were pure white, without any pupil. Todd put his phone away and felt his heart, there was no heartbeat. he pulled down his shirt and saw a faint glow where his heart is.

"I think this... spark is keeping me alive," Todd said with determination in his voice, he quickly brushed it off and put his helmet and goggles back on "It doesn't matter as long as we get out before sunrise"

"Okay," Imelda said, getting back on track "How do we get to that awful man?"

Todd then felt something climb up his leg and back, before it plopped down on top of his helmet "Hey it's you!" Todd said recognizing it was Frida's monkey "What are you doing here?"

Everyone then turned to see a figure dressed in a long hooded gown, with large sunglasses "Oh it's you!" the figure spoke up while removing her disguise, everyone gasps when they saw who it was: the one and only Frida Kahlo.

The artist walked up to Todd and showed him some pictures "I needed to ask, which one looks the best"

Todd looked at the pictures "Oh! definitely this one!" he said as he pointed at a picture.

He then turned to Miguel and both exchanged a nod before turning back to the group "I think we have a way inside"
