"Are you coming?" Miranda leaned back into the entertainment room smirking at her stunned assistant.
Andy smiled and stood up to follow her beautiful boss mumbling, "I wish" under her breath for no one to hear but her.
Andy stepped into the kitchen and gazed at the three Priestly women in awe, marveling at their routine.
"Let me scramble the eggs 'though you've already cracked them," Caroline said.
Cassidy handed the eggs over with a huff. "Alright, I'll get the pan." She said.
"Here, let me help you." Andy offered, taking the strawberries out of Miranda's hand and brushing her fingers lightly. She washed them while Miranda got out the juice and set the table.
Andy gasped when she suddenly and unexpectedly felt Miranda's hands on her hips.
"Excuse me," Miranda whispered as she pushed her assistant gently aside to reach for the plates. She looked softly at her and smirked.
Andy cut the strawberries and put one in her mouth.
"I saw that, Andy," Cassidy yelled. "Now we all get to have one." She said, stealing one for herself and her sister.
When Miranda approached her Andy picked one up and held it out for her. "Want one too?" She asked.
Miranda came closer to eat it right out of her hand and Andy shivered at the erotic sight before her.
"You're such a tease," Miranda stated after she swallowed her strawberry.
"Tease?" Andy queried, thinking about it. "Maybe, but it's your fault." She said and licked her fingers where Miranda had just had her mouth.
"Mine?" Miranda asked, acting all innocent.
"Well if you weren't so irresistible then I wouldn't be such a tease," Andy explained with a smile.
"Don't be ridiculous, Andrea. I haven't even brushed my hair or done my make up" Miranda said, frowning at her image in the reflection of the microwave.
"I know..." Andy said, pushing her famous forelock out of her face. She bit her lip as she looked Miranda over. "...irresistible "
"Mom, you're supposed to eat breakfast, not Andy," Caroline said as she witnessed the scene.
The women looked at each other and both burst into laughter.
"Yeah, Miranda. You really shouldn't." Andy said giggling as she moved over and helped the twins with the scrambled eggs.
They finished preparing their scrambled eggs while Miranda made two coffees and put them on the table.
"I love you, Andy," Caroline stated, totally out of the blue.
"Aw, I love you too, munchkin. Both of you." Andy added, pulling them both into a hug. "Where did that come from, Caro?" She asked.
"I don't know." Caroline shrugged. "It's just...you make us all so happy and everything is fun with you." She explained.
"Yes, and you make us smile, all of us," Cassidy added, giving her mom a meaningful look.
"That's very sweet, kiddos. You know what, you really make me happy too. I'm always alone at my apartment and being with you is so much more fun. It really means a lot to me that I can share these little moments with all of you. Especially since I don't have any family here." Andy said as they all sat down to finally enjoy their meal.
"We can definitely be your family. You fit right in with us." Cassidy said, her words unfiltered as she grabbed the strawberries.
"I'd love that, I wish it didn't have to end. To be honest, it would be great being with you all the time but sadly I will have to go back to my place at some point. I wouldn't want to crowd you and your mom." Andy said smiling softly.
"That's so dumb." Cassidy frowned when she saw the look on her mom's face at the language. "I'm sorry mom." She ducked her head a little. "But it really is. If we want you here and you don't want to live alone why don't we just live together?" She asked.
"Yeah, you should totally move in with us. I mean, we seem to be perfect for each other, you and mom like each other and we live together already anyway." Caroline declared. Miranda choked on her coffee. "Will you pass me the butter please, Cassi?" She asked
"You okay, Mommy?" Cassidy queried.
"I think you've shocked her," Andy said, not taking any of the twin's chatter seriously and giggling over Miranda's reaction.
They continued to have a pleasant breakfast and Andy enjoyed her life among the Priestly family.
"Mom we're going upstairs. Dad said he'd video call us in a minute." Caroline explained, taking her sister's hand and pulling her from the room in a hurry.
"It must be hard for them not to see their dad right now," Andy said as she helped Miranda clean the kitchen.
"Mm, they've said so. But I'm sure we won't be locked down for long. The numbers are going down slowly." Miranda said.
"Oh. Well, that's good for the girls. I...uh...gotta go take a shower. Do you need me later for work?" Andy asked.
"No, not for work," Miranda said with a smile.
Andy just nodded as she went upstairs. She took a nice hot shower and was in her room as she heard one of the girls scream. "Shit." She said, running from the room in just her robe to see what was happening.
"Caroline? Cassidy?" She found Cassidy holding her head crying in her room and Caroline had tears in her eyes holding a pillow.
"What happened girls?" She said checking out Cassidy's head.
"I didn't mean to...we were having a pillow fight and Cassy hit her head on the edge of the desk when I tried to hit her." Caroline started to cry.
"Shh, it's okay girls, accidents happen. Come on, let's get some ice for your head." Andy helped Cassidy up and took Caroline's hand and led them to the kitchen. "Okay, let's put these peas on your head." She said after she rummaged in the freezer.
"Andrea, what's going on here?" Miranda asked as she descended the stairs having taken a shower herself.
"The girls had a little accident. Cassidy hit her head." Andy explained. "I heard her scream so I took care of it. I hope that was okay."
"Of course, come here Bobbsey, let me see," Miranda said checking out her head. "It's just a little bump. You've had worse."
"I'm sorry, Mommy and Cassidy, I swear I didn't mean to hurt you," Caroline said crying once again and feeling guilty.
"It's okay Sis, it's not that bad," Cassidy said as she hugged her sister.
"Caroline, come here. I bet you were both in this so don't feel guilty, accidents happen. I just want you to be more careful. How did this happen anyway?" Miranda asked, comforting Caroline.
"Pillow fight." They both said looking down.
"And what did I tell you about pillow fights?" Miranda queried.
"We're not allowed to have them." They both said.
"That's right. I won't punish you because I think this is punishment enough, but if I see you doing so one more time there will be serious consequences, alright?" Miranda asked. They both agreed quickly. "I'm glad Andrea was here to take care of you I didn't even hear you."
"Thank you, Andy," Cassidy said and hugged her as did Caroline.
"Don't worry, munchkins," Andy said hugging them tightly kissing each of them on the head. "Alright, now if you don't mind I'll go get dressed." She said and went back upstairs.
"Alright my darlings, if your head is better put the peas back in the freezer, please. Why don't you girls take a little break and calm down before we all do something together? I have to work for an hour or so but after that, we can do something fun."
"Okay, mom." They agreed and went back upstairs.
When Andy was done with her hair and dressed she heard a light knock on her door. "Come in." She called out. When the door swung open, she saw the two redheads at the door. "Hey Girls, what's the matter?" She asked.
Mom's working for a bit and we are supposed to take a break but we are bored." Caroline told her.
"Bored? Now we can't have that." Andy thought for a minute. "Okay, how about this, I know you girls are old enough to read yourselves but how about we snuggle up on the couch and I read you something?" Their eyes glowed and they smiled. "Is that a yes?"
The twins nodded and Andy asked them to show her their books. They picked one and settled on the couch as Andy began to read.
After a while, Miranda passed the den but stalled when she heard Andy's voice. She watched the scene before her raptly, and her heart swelled at the sight of both girls snuggled up against Andy, listening carefully.
At that moment, Miranda realised she was in love.
