It was a rainy night in Bikini Bottom, and the Krusty Krab was packed with customers. It was late at night, and most of the customers were tired, but were still hungry for a Krabby Patty or anything else that the Krusty Krab had on the menu. The employees of the Krusty Krab, even Spongebob were also tired after a long day of work.
Squidward let out a yawn. "Man, am I glad that it's almost closing time...For some reason, today's workday took even more out of me than usual..." He muttered.
Spongebob then stuck his head out the kitchen window. "Tell me about it, Squidward...Usually, I have enough energy to get through a workday at the Krusty Krab from start to finish without getting tired, but for some reason, I'm really tired tonight..." The yellow sponge let out a yawn of his own.
Patrick nodded his agreement, struggling to keep his eyes open. "Yeah...I'm having a lot of trouble keeping my eyes open tonight..." He chimed in before letting out a huge yawn.
Squidlin stretched his arms as he leaned back in his swivel chair at the drive-thru window. "Just keep going a little longer, boys. It'll be closing time soon, and then we'll be able to head home and hit the hay." He told his colleagues in a tired yet optimistic tone of voice.
"You're right, Squidlin. We just need to bring up a bit more energy to make it to the end of this workday." Spongebob agreed with a tired smile before he noticed a customer making their way towards the cash register. "Oh, Squidward! There's a customer coming!" The yellow sponge pointed out before retreating into the kitchen.
It was me, Alexneushoorn himself who made his way up to the cash register! I was in my merman form, and my fishtail was covered in shiny blue scales. "Hey there. I'll have a large Krabby Patty with extra cheese and a large soda." I told Squidward before paying for my food.
"Alright, coming right up..." Squidward nodded as he wrote down my order and put it in the kitchen window. "One large Krabby Patty with extra cheese and a large soda!" Squidward called into the kitchen.
"On it, Squidward!" Spongebob replied before he proceeded to quickly get to work on my order, managing to get a rush of energy to get my order finished, which he did. "One large Krabby Patty with extra cheese and a large soda, just for our happy customer!" Spongebob called as he handed the order to Squidward.
Squidward took the order and turned to me as he handed me my order. "Here you go, sir..." Squidward told me before letting out another yawn.
"Thank you very much, Squidward. Enjoy the rest of your night." I told him with a smile before making my way towards a table and sitting down there to eat.
Later on, it was finally closing time at the Krusty Krab. "Alright, everyone! I hate ta say it, but it's closin' time! Head on home and get yerselves some shuteye so ye can earn me more money tomorrow, alright? 'Til tomorrow!" Mr. Krabs told his employees as they all proceeded to leave the Krusty Krab and went home. Spongebob and Patrick walked home together, Squidward and Squidlin drove home in their boat while Harold also drove home in his boat.
"Bye, Spongebob! See you tomorrow!" Patrick waved his best friend off before walking over to his rock house, lifting it up and going inside before the rock came down again.
"Bye, Patrick!" Spongebob called before he went inside his pineapple home. Soon after, Squidward and Squidlin pulled up to Squidward's house.
"Thanks for the ride, big brother...See you tomorrow morning..." Squidward told Squidlin before getting out of Squidlin's boat.
"Anytime, little brother. Good night." Squidlin replied before driving towards his own house. Squidward then went inside his house.
Patrick was sitting inside his chair made out of sand in his underwear, watching a bit of television before bedtime. "Hehehe, that show was pretty nice...I wonder...what's going to happen...in the next episode...?" Patrick muttered before he drifted off to sleep and began to snore.
Squidward was sitting in his bed, with his clarinet resting next to him in bed. Squidward was reading a good book before bed. "Aaaah, nothing like reading a good book before bed..." Squidward sighed before putting a bookmark on the page he left off at and putting his book on his nightstand before turning off the lights and turning over in bed before drifting off to sleep.
Spongebob and his pet snail Gary were sitting inside Spongebob's bedroom playing a game of cards before bed. Gary then proceeded to lay down a card, and Spongebob chuckled at the sight of which card it was.
"Hey, I knew you had an ace! Looks like you win again, Gary! Now time for me to get ready for bed and get up early in the morning to get ready for work!" Spongebob said before diving into bed. "Night, Gary." Spongebob said before drifting off to sleep.
"Meow." Gary replied before drifting off to sleep himself.
