The episode opened with Chris on the Dock of Shame. "Last time, on Total Drama Island...The 14 remaining campers were put through a series of life threatening and disgusting boot camp challenges by none other than Master Chief Hatchet. He was especially hard on Valerie due to his personal vendetta against her because of history he has with her father. With challenges such as holding a canoe above their heads for as long as possible, eating trash, running for extended periods of time behind a military jeep, writing a 500 word essay about why they love Master Chief Hatchet so much, doing push ups and hanging upside down in a tree for as long as possible, it was a long and harsh battle between the teams for victory. But in the end, it was the Screaming Gophers who won the challenge thanks to Valerie's determination to beat Chef at his own game. At the campfire ceremony, the vote went between Mason and Kennedy after they had gone a bit too far in pranking poor little Lester. But only one of the two could be sent home, and it ended up being Kennedy. Footage from the confessional revealed that Lester had cried bloody murder to get the Killer Bass to side with him and vote Kennedy out of the game as a way to get back at Mason and Kennedy for the infinite amount of pranks they pulled on him during the challenge." Chris explained as he gave a recap of last episode's events before the scene cut back to him on the Dock of Shame, where he was lying on a tanning bed.

"Hey, I know it wasn't a nice thing of Lester to do, but you gotta admit: It makes for some great drama, am I right?" Chris asked the viewers before taking a sip of a juice he was holding in his right hand. "The second phase of the competition draws closer, and we have a few more challenges to take care of before we initiate that second phase. Which team will be taking the win in today's challenge? Which team will be taking the loss in today's challenge? Which team will get to enjoy another sweet reward? And just who will be taking their leave from Camp Wawanakwa at the campfire tonight? Find out in the most extreme episode yet, on Total...Drama...Island!" Chris finished as the intro began to play.

Two spotlights rose into the air and were turned on. A camera rose from the ground where a groundhog was lying on while another camera came out of a tree.

Dear mom and dad, I'm doing fine.

The camera zoomed across the camp before heading over the edge of the cliff and going underwater to show Kylie swimming there as a shark followed from behind. She then proceeded to bravely kick the shark in the face and swam away as the shark rubbed its snout in pain. The camera proceeded to rise to the surface of the water where Sasha was sitting in a motorboat that she had just fixed with a wrench and gave a small smile to the camera.

You guys are on my mind.

The camera then went into the forest to find Michelle playing a game on her handheld as Tessa was painting her doing this. However, she was soon disturbed by Regina sliding down a tree trunk on a skateboard and hopping over Michelle and Tessa, causing the trestle that Tessa's painting was standing on the collapse and the painting to fall onto her, covering her in paint before she looked at the camera in annoyance.

You asked me what I wanted to be,

The camera continued to follow Regina riding her skateboard through the forest as she passed by Miles, giving him a high five as she did so. Miles grinned as he gave Regina a thumbs up and then ran off into the forest.

And I think the answer is plain to see...

Hana was practicing her Judo moves in an open clearing in the forest. As she did so, she accidentally kicked against a wire which caused a platform in a tree above her to collapse and then a bucket of water fell onto her, soaking her judo gi. Hana was visibly upset as she looked around for any perpetrators before the camera zoomed out to reveal Kennedy and Mason hiding behind a rock, struggling to contain their laughter.

I wanna be famous.

The camera then began following Nathan and Melissa as they were jogging out of the forest and towards camp as they smiled at each other.

I wanna live close to the sun.

The camera then zoomed towards a waterfall where Valerie and Victoria were slap fighting with each other in a canoe which promptly fell off the waterfall with them inside. Socorro was standing on a wooden log and was horrified to see Valerie and Victoria fall down the waterfall, but then the log he was standing on collapsed underneath him as he fell as well.

Go pack your bags, 'cause I've already won.

The camera then turned to Zane leaning against the outhouse confessional as he was waiting for the person who occupied it to come out. Sybil then proceeded to come out of the outhouse as she and Zane looked at each other in awkward silence.

Everything to prove, nothing in my way.

The camera then went into the mess hall as Chef was preparing a meal in there. He smiled as he looked at Oliver and Aston, whom he had tied up with rope. Oliver and Aston nervously looked at each other before looking at Chef.

I'll get there one day.

The camera then turned to Dustin and Lester playing chess against each other, with Dustin winning the game as he raised his arms in victory as Lester just shrugged his shoulders, being indifferent to losing the game of chess.

'Cause I wanna be famous.

The scene then showed Cameron and Grayson at the beach, staring at Janson, who was lying on the beach before he splashed his bare torso with water, turning it to steam, causing Cameron to fan her face in admiration while Grayson shook his head in annoyance at his sister's reaction.

Na na na na na na, na na na na, na na na na na na.

The scene then then showed a seagull with plastic around its neck drifting on the water as a shark jumped over it before being pulled underwater by an octopus.

I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!

The camera then turned to Johan, who was sitting on a stool on the Dock of Shame with his guitar as he began to play it. He then proceeded to throw his baseball cap into the air as the camera began to follow it. The scene then turned to nighttime as Johan was sitting at the campfire and caught his baseball cap again before putting it back on his head. Chris and Chef then showed up with marshmallows.

[Whistling] I wanna be, I wanna be famous.

The camera then zoomed out to show all 24 campers sitting around the campfire, as well as a sign that read "Total Drama Island" on it.

The scene then cut to a few members of the Killer Bass on the beach as they were playing with a frisbee. These members were Regina, Nathan, Kylie and Melissa. Nathan threw the frisbee towards Melissa, who caught it after making a big leap into the air. She then landed back in the sand again.

Nathan smiled and chuckled. "Hehe, nice catch." He told his girlfriend with a smile.

Melissa smiled and chuckled back. "Hehe, thanks. I've been practicing my jumps back home." She replied with a smile.

Kylie smiled and nodded. "Well, that has definitely paid off." She remarked before she, Regina, Nathan and Melissa looked up as they heard Mason's blubbering from the confessional.

"Man, Mason's still upset by Kennedy's departure from the other night..." Regina remarked with a frown.

Nathan nodded in agreement. "Yep..." He agreed.

-Confessional: Mason-

"My stay at Camp Wawanakwa is still fun, don't get me wrong. It just...It just doesn't feel the same anymore now that Kennedy's gone...I really miss her..." The party boy sniffled, his usual fun loving and cheerful demeanor being gone because of the departure of his girlfriend Kennedy.

-End Confessional-

Mason soon left the confessional with his head hanging down. "Come on, Mason. Please don't feel so down because of Kennedy's departure. You promised her that you would win this thing for her. The least you can do is keep that promise." Kylie told the party boy in an attempt to cheer him up.

"I know, I know...But I'm not sure if I can bring up the motivation to win this thing when my stay at this summer camp isn't the same anymore without Kennedy around..." Mason sighed deeply.

Meanwhile, with the Screaming Gophers, most of the team was having a similar fun time with each other. Miles, Michelle, Cameron and Janson were playing badminton against each other. "You know, I honestly didn't expect the Killer Bass' elimination vote to go between Mason and Kennedy the other night. Both of them were very nice." Cameron remarked as she smacked the badminton shuttle towards Miles, who hit it back towards Janson, who hit it back towards Michelle in return.

Miles nodded in agreement with Cameron's statement. "I agree, I was shocked when I heard that the Bass voted out Kennedy the other night, but after I heard that Mason and Kennedy went too far with pranking Lester, it all started to make sense." He replied.

"Yes, what Mason and Kennedy did to Lester was a most unnecessary and cruel joke they played. It was fortunate for Lester that the other Bass found out what happened and were able to send Kennedy packing down the Dock of Shame." Janson chimed in his agreement.

"Yeah, that was such a dick move the two of them pulled on Lester. Hopefully Mason has gotten the message to leave Lester alone now that Kennedy is out of the game." Michelle agreed as well.

-Confessional: Miles-

"I knew from the moment I saw Lester on the first day that there was more to him than meets the eye. And I think that once we head into the next phase of the competition, Lester could be a very useful asset in my schemes. Because I doubt that the teams will be around forever, and that could mean more opportunities to get myself all the way to the finale. See, you gotta think ahead if you want to make it far into a game like this." The brunette explained as he tapped the side of his head with the index finger on his prosthetic arm.

-End Confessional-

As the campers were minding their own business, they were suddenly disturbed by the sounds of a plane propeller. "What the hell is going on out here?" Valerie asked as she, Sybil and Zane arrived at the scene.

"Yeah, what in the name of Austin St. John's departure from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is going on?" Lester asked as well as he arrived at the scene.

The camera then panned up to show Chris doing various stunts in a stunt plane. "Oh, this is just a warming up for today's challenge." Chris spoke through a megaphone before he landed his stunt plane and stepped out.

"You see, today's challenge is all about extreme sports! You will be competing in three different extreme sports challenges to try and gain more points than the other team in a best of three game! Whichever team scores the most amount of points out of these three extreme sports challenge will win immunity and won't have to attend tonight's campfire ceremony. And for the winners of the Viewer's Vote, we have a reward waiting. And trust me, this is a reward you will probably really like." Chris explained to the campers.

The campers looked at each other, some of them looking worried while others just shrugged, being indifferent to the challenge. "Bring it on. No extreme sports challenge is too extreme for me." Zane remarked.

The scene then cut to Zane and Regina sitting inside a plane with parachutes tied to their backs. Zane looked surprised while Regina looked excited. "...Skydiving, huh? Good one." He remarked.

"Woohoo! This is gonna be so fucking cool!" Regina cheered loudly.

"Alright, Regina, Zane. Your first challenge is to go skydiving out of this plane you're situated in and into that sand pit we've marked with a huge red X. Whichever one of you is the first to safely land into that sand pit will score the first point for your team. You got that?" Chris asked Regina and Zane as he was standing next to the two campers in the plane.

Zane nodded. "That sounds easy enough." He replied.

"Let's do this!" Regina cheered.

"Alright, good luck!" Chris replied back as he proceeded to push Regina and Zane out of the plane.

"I hope that Chris gave us working parachutes for this challenge. I don't want the producers of this show to bring any bad news about my demise to my family." Zane remarked as he looked at the approaching ground.

"Don't be such a pussy, Zane! You'll be fine, even if you don't have a working parachute!" Regina replied to the strategist as she began doing somersaults and flips in the air as she soared towards the ground.

Meanwhile, down on the ground, the rest of the Screaming Gophers and the Killer Bass watched as Regina and Zane were making their way towards the ground. "You can say what you want about Zane, but damn, is he brave to take on this skydiving challenge. My papi is a pretty brave man himself, but you wouldn't catch him going skydiving for sure." Valerie remarked as she looked up at the sky.

"He's not a fan of jumping out of an airplane for fun, is he?" Sybil asked her as she was also staring up at the sky.

"No, not at all. Not that he has a fear of heights or anything, he just doesn't like jumping out of an airplane for recreational purposes. My papi believes that you should only jump out of an airplane when it's actually necessary. That reasoning's kinda boring, but I can see why he believes that. My papi's that kind of guy who's out of touch with social trends and activities such as skydiving." Valerie explained to her.

"I don't blame him. My father's out of touch with current social trends as well, although he does enjoy himself a good skydiving trip every now and then. The 2000s are a weird time for all of us." Sybil replied to her.

"That we can agree on." Valerie nodded in agreement.

"If any one of us would be brave enough to take on a skydiving challenge like this, of course it had to be Regina." Melissa remarked as she looked up at the sky.

"Well, yeah. She is a daredevil, after all." Kylie replied as she was also staring up at the sky.

"I just hope that her parachute works. I'd hate to see her meet her demise because of a faulty parachute." Nathan chimed in as he looked up at the sky.

"Same here." Lester agreed.

Mason sniffled some more. "Kennedy would've loved a skydiving challenge. She would've found a super creative way to get such a challenge done. But now she's gone, and she won't be able to do what she does best anymore..." He began wailing again. The other members of the Killer Bass looked at each other, unsure what to say about Mason's sorrow.

Meanwhile, Regina and Zane continued to make their way towards the ground. Regina continued doing stunts in the air while Zane was calculating the right time to open his parachute. "Hmmmm...If my calculations are correct, the right time to open my parachute would be...now!" Zane spoke as he pulled the chord on his parachute, and it proceeded to open as the strategist began to descend towards the ground, doing his best to land in the sand pit.

Regina chuckled as she saw Zane using his parachute. "Using his parachute, eh? I don't need the coward backpack to make my mark on that sand pit! Here I come! Geronimo!" She yelled as she continued soaring towards the ground as the Screaming Gophers, Killer Bass, as well as Chris watched in shock.

"Is she seriously not going to open her parachute?!" Chris asked in shock.

"That girl is more loco than my brothers Armando and Alejandro on a sugar rush." Valerie remarked with widened eyes.

"Tell me about it." Cameron agreed with equally widened eyes, looking quite pale.

"Regina, no! Open your parachute! You'll die if you don't!" Kylie shouted up at Regina.

"Oh, boy...This is not going to end well..." Zane gulped as he watched Regina make her way towards the ground without opening her parachute.

"Woooohoooo!" Regina yelled as she proceeded to crash through the red X and into the sandpit. The plane with Chris inside proceeded to land on the ground, and Chris immediately got out and rushed over to the sand pit, with the Screaming Gophers and Killer Bass doing the same thing. As soon as Zane landed, he also quickly rushed over to the sand pit.

"Are you alright, Regina?" Chris called into the sandpit.

"I'm more than alright, Chris! I'm Regina Indigo Middleton, the greatest daredevil in all of Canada! And I just performed one of the biggest stunts I've ever pulled! I've never felt more alive!" Regina yelled back up in excitement.

Chris looked at the Screaming Gophers and Killer Bass before shrugging. "Well, since Regina landed in the sand pit, that means the point for the first round of the challenge will go to the Killer Bass!" He announced as the Killer Bass began to cheer. The Screaming Gophers groaned.

-Confessional: Regina-

"And that's how you score that first point for your team, baby! Woo!"

-End Confessional-

-Confessional: Zane-

"We may have lost the first round of this challenge, but things are still far from lost. We have two rounds left for this challenge, so we still have a chance to turn the tables on the Bass. It's not over until it's over. That's the way it goes in a competition like this."

-End Confessional-

"Alright, let's take a quick timeout for some lunch. Head on over to the mess hall and grab some grub from Chef." Chris told the campers as he took his leave from the scene. The Screaming Gophers and Killer Bass began to head over the mess hall. Kylie pulled Regina out of the sand pit, and the two of them began to make their way towards the mess hall as well.

"Thanks for pulling me out of there. I could've gotten out of there myself, but I still appreciate the help nonetheless." Regina told Kylie with a grin.

Kylie chuckled. "Anytime, Reggie. It's a miracle you survived that fall into the sand pit. How are you not dead from that?" She asked the daredevil curiously.

"You know what? I have no idea. But it sure was awesome, wasn't it?" Regina asked the cheerleader with a smile.

"That it was. It was dangerous, but it was awesome." Kylie smiled as the girls continued to make their way towards the mess hall.

Later, over at the mess hall, the teams were having lunch and discussing their strategy for the next round of the challenge. "Alright, so we're one point behind on the Killer Bass. How are we going to turn the tables on them in the next round?" Michelle asked her teammates after swallowing a spoonful of Chef's slop.

"Depending on what it is exactly that we'll be doing in the next round, I will take on the next round for the team." Miles offered his team.

"Are you sure you can handle whatever Chris is going to throw at you in the next round?" Sybil asked the machiavellian as she raised a doubtful eyebrow.

"100% sure. I'm just excited to be helping out the team for the challenge." Miles assured her with a reassuring smile.

Sybil wasn't convinced, but she nodded. "Alright then." She replied.

"Hey, have a little faith in Miles, Sybil. He might honestly just surprise you with his hidden skill in whatever it is that we're gonna be doing for the next round of the challenge." Michelle told the ingenue with a smile as she cuddled up against Miles, who proceeded to smile and cuddle her back.

"Michelle has a point, milady. Every single one of us left on this team has hidden talents, and they may come in handy during each and every challenge that we will be playing during this show." Janson chimed in.

"Yeah! I have faith that Miles will be able to knock it out of the park for this next round!" Cameron agreed as well.

"...You're right, guys. I shouldn't worry so much about the possbility of Miles blowing this next round of the challenge. I'm sure he's got this in the bag." Sybil nodded at her teammates' words.

-Confessional: Sybil-

"Sure, Miles might have a set of skills that might be helpful to either the team or himself during the challenge, but outside of that, I don't trust that jerk one bit. I mean, he got Johan voted off alongside that eel Janson. I hope that we'll be able to get rid of him as soon as the teams are no longer around, which I'm sure is bound to happen sooner or later."

-End Confessional-

Meanwhile, the Killer Bass were having a similar conversation over at their table. "Alright, guys. We're up by one point on the Screaming Gophers. Who should we select to represent us for the next round of the challenge?" Melissa asked her teammates.

"Maybe I could do it! Based on what it is that we'll be doing for the next round, I might have a good chance at scoring the second point for us!" Nathan offered, raising his hand.

"If it's anything physical, then you would be the ideal camper for the job. But just in case the next round involves dexterity, we should select Kylie to represent us for the next part of the challenge." Lester suggested.

"I guess I am the more dexterous type on the team, given that I'm both a cheerleader and a motorcyclist." Kylie nodded her agreement at Lester's suggestion. "Alright, I'll do it. Anybody got objections?" She then asked her teammates.

"I don't have any better ideas." Mason shrugged, being indifferent to whoever was going next for the Bass.

"You know, moping about Kennedy's departure won't do you any good, Mason. It won't bring Kennedy back to this island either." Melissa told the party boy.

"She's right, dude. You'll be able to meet Kennedy again once this show's over and you go home. And then you'll be able to spend a lot of time pulling pranks with each other." Nathan chimed in.

"Yeah. You're the life of every party, dude. Do you wanna let the party down?" Regina asked Mason.

Mason thought about before nodding, a smile forming on his face. "You're right, guys! I'm the life of every party, and I can't let the party down!" He cheered.

The rest of the Bass smiled. "That's the spirit, dude! Now let's try and keep up our lead on the Screaming Gophers in this challenge!" Nathan cheered as well.

"Yeah!" The Bass cheered in unison.

The scene then cut to the top of the highest mountain on the island. Miles and Kylie were both sitting on a bicycle. "Alright, Kylie and Miles! For this next round of the challenge, you have to ride a bicycle without any brakes down this mountain while avoiding any obstacles that are in your way! And don't worry, because we have set up a giant mattress set up at the bottom of the mountain to catch you so you won't get seriously injured!" Chris told Kylie and Miles with a reassuring smile.

Miles and Kylie were both nervous as they looked down before they looked at each other. "Well, good luck. Hopefully you'll make it down there alive." Miles told Kylie.

"Yeah, same to you." Kylie replied.

"Alright, you two ready? Then off you go!" Chris told the two as he pushed them down the hill. Suddenly, Chef's voice came onto Chris' earpiece, and Chris had a shocked look on his face. "What's that?! You didn't put a giant mattress at the bottom of the mountain?! Why not?!" Chris asked Chef as his voice came onto the earpiece once more. "Because Raymond said it would make the challenge more exciting?! Oh, my boxers, this is going to be really bad for lawsuits..." Chris said in a panicky voice as he began running down the hill to try and do something about the situation.

Meanwhile, the rest of the campers were at the bottom of the mountain, standing on the sidelines as they awaited Kylie and Miles to arrive there. "You can say what you want about Miles, but he's certainly brave to volunteer for riding a bicycle without any brakes down a mountain littered with rocks, trees and whatever else it is that's up there on that slope." Sybil said to Zane.

Zane nodded in agreement. "Yeah. The guy is greasier than a snake in a pool of kitchen grease, but I gotta admire his guts to take on something like this." He replied to her.

"I disagree with you two on the greasier than a snake in a pool of kitchen grease part, but I definitely agree on his guts to take on something like this. It only makes me love him even more." Michelle said as hearts appeared in her eyes. Sybil and Zane looked at each other with a doubtful expression that Miles loved her the same way, but decided not to say anything about it because they knew how crabby Michelle was.

"Well, now that I know what the second round of this challenge was, I'm glad that I wasn't selected for the second round. It would've definitely been cool to do, don't get me wrong. But I don't think I would've been agile enough to dodge all of the obstacles up on that mountain slope while I went down said slope at top speed." Nathan remarked.

Melissa nodded in agreement as she had her arms around Nathan's waist. "I'm glad that you weren't selected for the second round too, Nate. I can't imagine how I'd feel if you got badly injured during your ride down that mountain and had to be evacuated from the island." She told her boyfriend as she snuggled close to him.

Nathan smiled and snuggled Melissa back. "I can't imagine how I'd feel if that happened either, baby. So perhaps it was for the better that I didn't represent our team during this challenge." He replied to his girlfriend.

Mason couldn't help but smile at watching Nathan and Melissa sharing their love with each other. "As soon as Kennedy and I meet up back home, we're going to spend a lot of time snuggling just like those two." He told Regina.

"I bet she'd really like that." Regina replied with a grin as she also watched Nathan and Melissa sharing their love with each other.

Meanwhile, Kylie and Miles continued going down the mountain on their brakeless bikes. "Alright, Miles...Just keep your eyes on the road...If you don't, you're gonna risk crashing into something...Just remember, this is just like riding a dirt bike, except you don't have any brakes this time around..." The brunette told himself as he tried to keep cool as he went down the mountain at top speed.

"Okay, Kylie...Just keep your eyes on the road as if you were riding an actual motorcycle like you do when you spend that half of the year with dad...You don't wanna risk getting into an accident like that one time you and your ex-boyfriend were fleeing from a group of angry bikers..." The cheerleader told herself as she tried to keep cool as she went down the mountain at top speed.

The two then began dodging rocks, trees, mountain goats and other animals that were on the mountain. A rabbit was hopping around on the mountain and happily sniffed a flower before it noticed Kylie and Miles coming towards it at top speed, and it screamed in horror. Kylie and Miles saw the rabbit and screamed in horror as well. Fortunately, the two missed the rabbit as they zipped past it. The rabbit tried to catch its breath before fainting in shock. Chris then came running down the mountain, picking up the fainted rabbit as he did so.

"Hey, wait! Stop! There is no giant mattress at the bottom of the mountain!" Chris called to Kylie and Miles as he continued running down the mountain with the unconscious rabbit resting in his left arm.

Kylie and Miles were relieved that they hadn't hit the rabbit on the way down the mountain. "Whew...Am I glad I didn't hit that rabbit on my way down the hill..." Miles sighed in relief.

"Same here...It just wouldn't sit right with me to have the manslaughter of a rabbit on my conscience..." Kylie agreed with a sigh of relief.

-Confessional: Miles-

"Sure, I may be a dirty, sneaky, lying and cheating bastard tactical-wise, but I show great compassion for animals. Usually when I'm spending my time riding my dirt bike through the woods when I'm not busy with filmmaking and I end up running over a wild animal, I usually respond with compassionate things such as "Sorry, little guy!" Meanwhile, my family usually responds with sarcasm or dark humor when they run over a wild animal. It sickens me." The brunette sighed with a shake of his head.

-End Confessional-

Kylie and Miles continued making their way down the mountain, and Kylie managed to gain a lead on Miles. "Hey! Hey, I'm in the lead! Looks like this second round is going to us as well!" Kylie cheered.

Miles looked around, hoping for a miracle that would put him in the lead when he suddenly saw a ramp formed by dirt and rocks, and the brunette grinned. "Thank God!" He exclaimed before going over the ramp and flying through the air. "Whoaaaa!" The Screaming Gophers, Killer Bass, Kylie and Chris watched in awe as Miles went flying through the air and went ahead of Kylie before landing on the ground again.

"And the winner of the second round is..." Chef started to speak before Miles went flying face first into the giant mattress at the bottom of the mountain, with Kylie flying face first into the giant mattress soon after. "Prosthetic boy!" Chef finished as the Screaming Gophers cheered and the Killer Bass groaned.

Chris finally arrived at the bottom of the mountain with the unconscious rabbit still resting in his left arm. The raven haired host was out of breath and saw that there was a giant mattress at the bottom of the mountain all along. "What the heck, Chef?! I thought you said that there wasn't a giant mattress at the bottom of the mountain!" Chris panted.

Chef chuckled sadistically. "That was just a lie to mess with ya, Chris. That's what ya get when ya don't pay me." He told the raven haired host with a sadistic grin.

"Not cool, dude! Not cool!" Chris panted before falling backwards, having passed out from exhaustion. Chef walked up to Chris, picked him and put him over his shoulder.

"A'ight, while we wait Chris to recover from his exhaustion, y'all get an hour of recess. Do as y'all like." Chef told the campers as they cheered and ran back to camp to enjoy their hour of recess.

Back at camp, the Screaming Gophers were gathered at the Dock of Shame in their swimwear as they were enjoying some swimming time. "You did a good job back there on that mountain slope, Miles!" Cameron complimented the machiavellian.

"Yeah, you were great up there, hun!" Michelle agreed as she kissed Miles' cheek.

Miles chuckled. "What can I say? I saw an opportunity to gain the lead during that challenge, and I took it. That's how everything works in life: You see an opportunity, you try and use it. As soon as I heard about this show, I signed up without any hesitation and full confidence that I would make it through the selection." He spoke with a warm smile.

"You, my friend, are without a doubt one of the most charismatic people I have ever met in my entire life. Other than me, of course." Janson told Miles with a chuckle and a warm smile.

"Thanks, Janson. I do try." Miles smiled back as Michelle snuggled up to him while Cameron snuggled up to Janson. Sybil tried her best to hold in a gag in disgust at how Janson and Miles were wooing and manipulating Cameron and Michelle. Zane shared the disgust, but hid it behind a serious face like he usually did.

Meanwhile, the Killer Bass were having a party at the campfire pit that Mason decided to throw to try and boost the team's spirit for the final round of the challenge. A tape deck was sitting on top of Chris' podium where he usually puts the plate of marshmallows during the elimination ceremonies. Wake Me Up Before You Go Go by Wham was playing from the tape deck as the Killer Bass were dancing to it.

"Thanks for the party, Mason. As soon as this show is over and we all go home, we should throw a Killer Bass reunion party. I bet it would kick just as much ass as this party we're having right now." Kylie told Mason with a smile.

"Definitely, ladybro! I'm already running possible places to throw that reunion party at in my head! I can't decide between a tropical swimming paradise, a bowling alley and the biggest mall near my house! Which should we choose?" Mason asked the rest of the bass.

"The tropical swimming paradise!" The rest of the Killer Bass replied in unison.

"Alright, we'll be throwing a Killer Bass reunion party at a tropical swimming paradise near my house once this show's over! It's a done deal!" Mason cheered as the rest of the Killer Bass proceeded to do the same thing.

Later on, after Chris had recovered from his exhaustion after running down a mountain, he was standing in a field together with the campers. "Alright, campers! It's time for the final round of today's challenge! For this final round of the challenge, you'll be water-skiing on this field that we have greased with soap! One member of either team will be manning the hovercraft while a member of the opposing team will be water-skiing behind said hovercraft, and the camper water-skiing has to collect five flags, while the camper manning the hovercraft has to prevent them from doing so! The first camper to collect five flags will score the final point for their team and win the challenge! I'll give you a few minutes to decide who's going to man the hovercraft and who's going water-skiing for both teams." Chris told the campers after explaining the final round of the challenge to the campers.

The Screaming Gophers were formed into a huddle. "Alright, which one of us wants to man the hovercraft for this final round?" Cameron asked her teammates.

Janson raised his hand. "I'll take that task upon myself. I'll make sure that whoever it is that the Killer Bass will send water-skiing won't collect all five flags." He spoke.

The rest of the Gophers nodded. "Very well. Now we just need to decide which one of us will be going water-skiing." Miles spoke up.

Sybil raised her hand. "I'll do that. I'll make sure that whoever it is that the Bass will have man the hovercraft won't knock me off those skis." She told her team with a determined smirk.

"Alright, then that's all decided. Now we just gotta wait on the Bass to select their people for this final round, and then we should be good to go." Zane remarked, to which the rest of the Gophers responded with a nod.

Meanwhile, the Killer Bass were formed into a similar huddle. "So, which one of us should we have man the hovercraft?" Nathan asked his teammates.

Lester raised his hand. "I'll do it. I'll make sure that whoever the Screaming Gophers picked to go water-skiing will fail to collect all five flags." He spoke with a confident smile.

The rest of the Bass nodded. "Okay, then that's decided. Now we just need someone to go water-skiing, and we're good to go." Melissa chimed in.

Mason raised his hand. "I'll do that! Water-skiing is just so much fun!" He cheered.

The rest of the Bass nodded at that. "Alright, then we have our positions for this final round sorted out. Let's go grab some flags." Kylie said with a determined smirk.

First up, it was Janson and Mason's turn with the hovercraft. "Just so you know, my friend: Just because I am a gentleman does not mean I will go easy on you during this challenge. We are still on opposing teams, after all." Janson warned Mason.

Mason shrugged and smile. "It's cool, bro. I like a good challenge in getting those flags, after all." He replied to the handsome Singaporean teen.

Janson smiled at that. "Alright then." He replied back.

"Alright, you boys ready? Go!" Chris exclaimed as he blew his airhorn. Janson started up the hovercraft and took off with Mason behind.

"Woooohoooo!" Mason cheered as him and Janson took off.

-Confessional: Janson-

"When I said that just because I am a gentleman does not mean I will go easy on Mason, I wasn't kidding. I will cause as much turbulence for that loud and obnoxious punk as possible." Janson spoke with an evil smirk on his face.

-End Confessional-

As Janson and Mason had gone on their way, Janson began to make erratic movements with the hovercraft, making it hard for Mason to grab any of the flags. "Whoa! You weren't kidding when you said you wouldn't go easy on me, Janson dude! You're really giving me a run for my money, no pun intended!" Mason chuckled as he tried to keep himself steady on his skis.

Janson let out a lighthearted chuckle. "What can I say? I really want to prevent my team from losing." He replied to Mason as he continued to make erratic movements with his hovercraft, continuing to make it hard for Mason to grab any of the flags.

"You know, one hand, I'm kinda worried for Mason, but on the other hand, I don't want to lose this challenge, because if we do lose this challenge, one of us is screwed." Sybil whispered to Zane.

Zane nodded his agreement. "Yep. That's why I share that same double feeling with you." He whispered back to Sybil.

"Come on, Mason! You can do it!" Kylie cheered the party boy on.

"Yeah! Show 'em how a real party animal like you does it!" Regina cheered the party boy on as well.

Mason grinned and gave a thumbs up to his teammates and managed to grab one of the flags, causing the Bass to cheer. Janson's eyes widened at the sight of Mason grabbing one of the flags, and a look of determination crept onto his face as he began making even more erratic movements with the hovercraft.

"Whoaaaa!" Mason exclaimed as he tried to keep himself steady while holding onto the flag he had grabbed.

"Wow, Janson is making it really hard for Mason to grab those flags!" Cameron remarked as she watched the scene in awe.

"Tell me about it! I definitely wouldn't want to be Mason right now!" Michelle nodded in agreement.

"Who knew Janson could be so rough on a hovercraft?" Lester remarked.

"Dude's really determined to keep Mason from getting those flags." Nathan nodded in agreement.

Janson continued to make erratic movements on his hovercraft to try and prevent Mason from getting all the flags. As he was speeding across the soap field on his hovercraft, he didn't notice that his shirt got caught on a nearby tree branch and was torn off of his body, leaving his gorgeous torso bared and exposed. We need some good fanservice, after all.

As soon as his shirt was torn off of his body, Janson took notice of this and his eyes widened in shock. A bunch of female campers and some of the male campers looked in awe at Janson's bared torso, with Cameron fanning her face in admiration. Even Mason was amazed by Janson's bared torso, causing him to let go of the handle that was attached to the hovercraft and crash into a tree. Mason grunted and slid down the tree trunk.

"Man, what a body that Janson guy has..." Mason muttered in awe. "But a hot body won't ever beat all of the awesome pranks I could possibly pull with Kennedy..." He added.

"Well, looks like Mason only managed to grab one of the five flags! Bummer!" Chris laughed. "Can Sybil do better for the Screaming Gophers? Let's find out in just a moment!" He added.

-Confessional: Janson-

Janson was sitting in the confessional with his torso still bared and exposed. "Well, that's not exactly how I had that final round of the challenge in mind, but at least I prevented Mason from getting all the flags, so I'll take it." The handsome Singaporean teen shrugged.

-End Confessional-

It was now Lester and Sybil's turn with the hovercraft. "Good luck, Sybil. You'll need it for this final round." Lester told Sybil with a smile.

"Oh, I don't need luck, because I know I'll beat you in this final round." Sybil told Lester with a confident smirk.

Lester nodded at that. "We'll see about that." He replied to her as he awaited Chris to give the starting signal.

"Ready? Off you go then!" Chris exclaimed before he blew his airhorn once more, and Lester took off on the hovercraft, with Sybil trailing behind on her skis. Lester immediately began making erratic movements with the hovercraft like Janson did with Mason, but unlike Mason, Sybil managed to keep herself steady and grabbed the first flag.

Lester looked surprised at this. "Alright, alright. You got the first flag. But that doesn't mean you'll get the rest of them." He told the ingenue as he continued to make erratic movements with the hovercraft, but Sybil remained steady on her skis and managed to grab the second flag.

"What was that about me needing luck?" Sybil asked Lester with a confident smirk as the schemer began to get irritated and made even more erratic movements with the hovercraft, but that didn't stop Sybil from getting the third flag.

"Damn, she's determined..." Lester muttered under his breath as he continued to make erratic movements with the hovercraft.

"Caramba, Sybil's not gonna let Short Stuff bring her down." Valerie remarked as she watched the scene.

Zane gave a slight smile. "She may not look like it, but she's got the strength of a lion, the brains of a dolphin and the speed of a cheetah. She's a valuable asset to our team when the situation calls for it." He replied to Valerie.

Valerie smiled too and nodded. "That we can agree on." She replied as she gave Zane a fist bump.

"Come on, Lester! Don't let her get the last two flags!" Kylie called to the short teen.

"Yeah, we don't wanna lose thrice in a row!" Regina chimed in.

"I'm trying as hard as I can, but that chick is determined!" Lester called back as he continued to make erratic movements, but his efforts proved to be futile as Sybil managed to grab the fourth flag. "See what I mean?!" Lester called to his teammates.

"Sorry, Bass! But there's a lot at stake if we lose this challenge!" Sybil called to the Bass as she managed to grab the final flag, and Lester sighed in defeat as he stopped the hovercraft, and Sybil let go of the handle, and she began gliding across the soap greased field before the Gophers proceeded to pick her up and lift her into the air and began cheering.

"And that's the challenge! The Screaming Gophers win!" Chris announced as the Killer Bass sighed in defeat.

-Confessional: Sybil-

"Do I feel bad for the Killer Bass? Of course, but both my place and Zane's place in the game are threatened by Janson and Miles' majority within our team, and I wasn't gonna let myself get voted out by those scheming weasels like what happened to Johan. So if any of the Bass end up seeing this on tv, know that I sympathize with you for losing thrice in a row, but know that it was for a good cause."

-End Confessional-

Chris then gave the campers a debrief. "Well, congratulations, Screaming Gophers! You won your third challenge in a row and have saved yourselves from elimination once more! That means all of you get to stay on the island for another three days!" Chris told the Screaming Gophers as they cheered. The Killer Bass frowned as they knew they had to vote someone out for the third time in a row.

"Killer Bass, what can I say? You've been the unluckiest team this season, seeing as you've had the most elimination ceremonies out of the two teams this season. And now you're going to have to add another elimination ceremony to that record. That must hurt." Chris told the Killer Bass.

"Well, of course it hurts. At the beginning of this seasons, we had twelve people on this team, but by the end of the night, there will only be five of us left." Kylie replied.

"Indeed, and it's a shame. But fortunately, I have some news that might soften the blow a little bit: You guys won the Viewer's Vote and therefore, you're getting a reward I think you might like: Letters from your loved ones back home!" Chris announced as the Killer Bass began to cheer.

"Damn it, I would've loved such a reward...Esa cosa de votar chupa testículos de mono..." Valerie muttered under her breath.

"It would've been nice to read some letters from our loved ones back home, but you can't have it all, I suppose." Miles gave an indifferent shrug.

"Head back to camp. Bass, you'll be getting those letters from your loved ones very soon." Chris told the campers as they began to head back to camp.

Later, back at camp, the Killer Bass were sitting on the porch of their cabin when Chef walked up to them with a mailbag over his shoulder. "Here you go, the mail from your loved ones. Enjoy." Chef told the Killer Bass as he emptied the bag onto the porch and walked away again.

Kylie was the first to pick up her letter. "Ooh! This letter's from my parents!" She said with a smile.

"What does it say?" Melissa asked curiously.

Kylie cleared her throat and began to read the letter. "Dear Kylie, we've been following your journey on Total Drama from the beginning, and we can say without a doubt that we're very proud of you for making it this far into the competition. Even though the two of us are divorced, your Total Drama journey has made us keep in contact more often since you left for Muskoka. The two of us are constantly talking over the phone after each episode of Total Drama Island, discussing how far you're going to get in the competition and if you'll have a chance of winning that prize money that Chris McLean is handing out at the end of the competition. But don't worry about winning so much. The most important thing about this competition is making friends and having fun. Remember that. Regardless of how far you'll be getting into the competition, we'll be looking forward to the day you return home. We love you. - Sincerely, Mom and Dad"

The other members of the Bass couldn't help but smile at that. "Awwww, that's so sweet!" Mason beamed.

"Yeah...Oh, it looks like I've got another letter from my friends on the cheerleader team when I live with my mom for one half of the year!" Kylie said as she picked up the next letter.

"What does it say?" Regina asked curiously.

Kylie began reading the next letter. "Hey, Kylie! Ever since you left for Muskoka, things have been kinda quiet on our end. We miss the enthusiasm you bring to the group, and we hope that you come back home as soon as Total Drama Island wraps up. In the meantime, try your best to survive whatever challenges that Chris McLean guy can throw at you! We've looked him up since Total Drama began filming, and yikes! He's got quite some lawsuits on his name! But we have full confidence that he's not going to bring you down, so keep it up over there! Good luck! - Your friends from the cheer team"

"Boy, are those girls a handful. But I still love them regardless." Kylie giggled.

"Yeah." Regina chuckled as she picked up the first letter sent to her. "Ooh, this one's from my family!" She said with an excited grin.

"What do they have to say?" Nathan asked curiously.

Regina cleared her throat and began reading the letter. "Dear Regina, when you announced that you were selected for the final cast for Total Drama Island, we were honestly kinda worried for you, but then we realized that we're always worried for you with all the crazy stunts you do back home. We're amazed that you have managed to come this far into the competition, and we have full confidence that with how strong you are, you'll be able to make it all the way to the end and bag that 100 grand. Keep it up over there, baby. We love you. - Your mother, father and brothers"

"Ain't that sweet?" Nathan said with a smile.

Regina grinned and nodded. "It sure is! They're always worrying about me because of the crazy stunts I pull, and it kinda gets on my nerves, but at the end of the day, I love them with all my heart." She chuckled as she picked up the next letter. "Ooh, this one's from my best friend Tommy!" She grinned as she began to read the next letter.

"Dear Regina, I'm so glad that you arrived in Muskoka safely and are having the time of your life over at Camp Wawanakwa. I'm honestly jealous that you get to spend your summer having the adventure of a lifetime while I have to stay back home and watch everything you do over there. But it's your adventure, not mine. So be sure to make the most out of that adventure, and I look forward to hanging out again once Total Drama Island wraps up. Later! - Your best friend Tommy"

"That Tommy guy sounds like a really cool guy." Lester remarked with a kind smile.

"Oh, believe me, he is. He's my cameraman who films all of my crazy stunts back home and uploads them to YouTube. He's the best friend I could've wished for. If I wasn't into girls, I would definitely date him." Regina replied with a grin.

"Ooh, you're into girls? That's so cool!" Kylie grinned back.

Regina chuckled. "You know it. I've always preferred a nice pair of jugs over a nice pair of abs, and I'm proud of it." She grinned once more.

"And there's nothing wrong with that, ladybro. You love who you want to love." Mason smiled.

"Thanks, Mason." Regina smiled back before Melissa picked up her first letter.

"Ooh, this one's from my parents and my brother!" Melissa beamed.

"What does it say?" Nathan asked curiously.

Melissa cleared her throat and began to read the letter. "Dear Mel,

Håfa Adai (Hello), sweetie! Your father, brother, and I have been watching you since the beginning, and we couldn't be more proud of you! Everyone from the island is cheering you on, and so are your friends on the Track Team. Not to mention, you have a boyfriend now, and we can't wait to meet him once he comes over. He seems like such a nice boy, and he treats you with respect. I can't wait for my future grandchildren! But if you plan to do 'that', please tell him to wear protection. Also, we were a little disappointed in you when you starved that poor boy, Socorro was it? It was a simple accident, young lady, and you know I don't like it when you get competitive. That's the only thing I don't like about your Track Coach, he pushes you kids sometimes. But, good job taking charge during that cooking challenge, it would've been better if your team made some traditional food from Guam or the Philippines.

Just know that we are proud of you, and it doesn't matter if you win or lose, as long as you had fun, made some friends, then that's more important than some money.

Love,

Mom

P.S. Ask Nathan for his family's contact information so we can get in touch. We can have a homecoming party once you get back. And don't worry; I won't reveal anything too embarrassing about you, just kidding. Love you dear.

Dear Mel,

How's my little girl doing? Your mother, brother and I have been watching and rooting for you. You've got quite the competition there, and I know you can beat them. The team at the college is also rooting for you, and sends you luck. Also, I can't believe my little girl has a boyfriend now, it seems like yesterday that you were crying when your mother and I were dropping you off at Kindergarten. Also, ignore what your mother said about the grandchildren part. That Nathan boy may be nice and respects you, but you are too young for that! Your mother already said her piece about that Socorro boy, and I feel the same, so please apologize to the boy and his Ostrich friends the next time you see them.

Love,

Dad

Dear Mels,

What up, little sister, how's it going? Mom, dad, and I have been rooting for you. Things have been different since you left… as if my life is more fun, and less annoying, just kidding. Good news, I'm going to be going to Comic Con, and I'll make sure to get you stuff and tell you what's going on once you get back. I know how bummed you must be, but have no fear. I honestly don't have much else to say besides to tell your boyfriend that I'm watching him, and I'll get him if he does anything to hurt you. And to also wish you good luck with the rest of the competition.

From your big bro,

Xavier"

Nathan chuckled. "Looks like your family's really taking a liking to me." He smiled as he had an arm around Melissa.

Melissa smiled and nodded. "Indeed they are. I'm looking forward to that homecoming party our families will be throwing." She replied before picking up the next letter. "This one's from my track coach." She smiled as she began to read the letter.

"Dear Melissa,

How's our Roadrunner doing? Myself and your teammates miss you, kid, with your cheerfulness and your sense of humor. We all hope you make it further into the competition, and win this thing. But, please make sure to tone down the competitiveness. I am sorta to blame for that part of yours and the others personalities, guess that's the old Marine in me. That Boot Camp challenge brought back some fond memories of my time in the Corp, even though I honestly don't believe that Chef guy was in the Military. He didn't have the spark or look like I've seen.

But again, good luck kid, we're all rooting for you. And tell that Nathan kid that I will be watching. If he hurts you, then I can probably enact some moves I learned in the Corps.

From,

Coach Anthony Morales"

Nathan chuckled nervously. "Typical guys within a girl's circle having that protective nature about them. I'll definitely be careful not to hurt you. I wouldn't want to have an ex-Marine body me." He replied with a nervous grin.

Melissa giggled a little bit. "Don't worry about it, Nate. He won't do such a thing to you." She assured him.

Nathan sighed in relief. "That's a relief."

-Confessional: Nathan-

"Seriously, what's it with guys within a girl's circle wanting to hurt any guy who's romantically involved with a girl? I've seen that trope in like so many tv shows and movies that it makes my head spin." Nathan wondered out loud before shrugging. "Maybe it's just a guy thing that a guy like me doesn't understand."

-End Confessional-

Nathan then proceeded to pick up the first letter sent to him. "Ooh, this letter's from my parents!" He beamed.

"What does it say?" Melissa asked curiously.

Nathan cleared his throat and began to read the letter "Dear Nathan, we've been following your Total Drama adventure since the beginning, and we're very proud of you! Not to mention, you have a girlfriend now! We still remember when we were bouncing you on our knee when you were only a year old, and look where you are now! Be sure to ask that Melissa girl for her family's contact information when you get the chance, because we'd like to organize a homecoming party for the two of you as soon as you return home once Total Drama Island wraps up! Be sure to treat Melissa however you would like to be treated! That's something we've always taught you growing up! Good luck out there in Muskoka, big boy! We love you! - Your dear old mama and papa, Penny and Gage"

Melissa smiled at hearing that. "Looks like your family's really taking a liking to me as well." She remarked.

Nathan smiled and nodded. "Indeed. I can't wait for them to meet you as soon as we're done with this show." He replied as he picked up the next letter. "Ooh, this next letter's from my best friend Nick!" He beamed once more before he began to read the letter.

"Hey, Nate! I know you were bummed out when you learned I didn't audition for Total Drama like you did, but like I said, I'll be rooting for you back home, and I'm doing just that right now! I'm glad you've managed to get yourself a girlfriend over there at Camp Wawanakwa too! She seems like a really cool gal, and I can't wait to meet her once Total Drama Island wraps up! Until then, I'll continue to root for you back home! Keep it up! - Your best friend, Nick"

"Dude, your parents and your best friend are so cool!" Mason blurted out.

Nathan chuckled. "I know! They're the best parents and friend I could've asked for!" He beamed.

"Yeah, I bet." Mason smiled before picking up the first letter sent to him. "Ooh, this one's from my parents!" He beamed.

"What did they put in the letter?" Lester asked curiously.

Mason cleared his throat and began to read the letter. "Dear Mason, when you first arrived at Camp Wawanakwa at the beginning of the summer, we didn't think you would make it this far into the competition, but you did, and you've greatly surprised us with that. Not to mention, we never would have thought that you would get a girlfriend over there at Camp Wawanakwa either. You and that Kennedy girl are definitely birds of a feather, and we would definitely like to meet her as soon as Total Drama Island wraps up. Regardless of when you will get eliminated, we're sure that you've gotten everything you've wanted out of your Total Drama adventure. Good luck, Mason. We believe in you. - Your dear old mama and papa"

Kylie couldn't help but smile at that. "Awwww, that's so sweet." She said.

"I know, right?! I'm so happy that my parents are supportive of me and the things I do here at Camp Wawanakwa!" Mason beamed as he picked up the next letter. "Ooh, this one's from a group of my friends!" He beamed once more as he began to read the letter.

"Yo, Mason! We're really happy that you made it this far into Total Drama Island, but at the same time, we're also bummed out that we've gone so long without throwing one of your massive parties! Hopefully once you get back from Camp Wawanakwa, we'll be able to throw a massive party to celebrate your return! And be sure to invite that new girlfriend of yours too, she's one of the coolest chicks we've ever seen! Looking forward to your return, bro! - Ernie, Brian, Michael, Lilian, Christine, Tonya and all the others"

"Whoa, sounds like you have a whole lot of friends." Regina remarked with a grin.

"Yeah, I've got a large circle of 'em, as I'm willing to talk and party with pretty much everyone. When it comes to close friends, I've got like five or six that I'm willing to drop everything for." Mason replied with a smile.

"How sweet." Regina grinned. Lester then proceeded to pick up the first letter and only letter sent to him.

"Hm, seems like I only got one letter compared to the rest of you guys. Ah well, better than nothing, I guess. It's a letter from my parents." Lester spoke.

The other Bass felt bad for Lester for only getting one letter while the rest of them all got two, but they nodded. "What did they put in it?" Nathan asked.

Lester cleared his throat and began to read the letter. "Dear Lester, we've been following your endeavors over at Camp Wawanakwa for a few weeks now, and we didn't think you'd last this long over there at Camp Wawanakwa. But you're still standing over there, and we can't help but admire how strong you are despite your meek nature. We're looking forward to your return once Total Drama Island wraps up, but until then, keep rocking the challenges you continue to compete in. Good luck! - Mom and Dad" There was also a part about his parents showing their disapproval of getting Kennedy eliminated in the previous episode, but Lester obviously left that out for the sake of protecting his façade.

"You're lucky to have such supportive parents, Lester. It must not be easy for a parent to have your son get picked on as much you do." Kylie told the short teen.

Lester nodded to Kylie. "Indeed. I'm a very lucky guy to have parents as supportive as mine. If it weren't for them, I don't know how I would've dealt with everything that life throws at me." He replied with a kind smile.

-Confessional: Lester-

"My parents also put a part about their disapproval of how I got Kennedy out of the game a few days ago in the letter, but I didn't read it because I didn't want the others finding out about who I really am. I don't know how long I can keep up this façade around these people, but as long I'm able to keep it up, I'll continue to do so. Who knows? It might just get me all the way to the finale."

-End Confessional-

The scene then cut to the elimination ceremony at night. The Killer Bass were sitting in front of the campfire while Chris stood in front of them with a plate of marshmallows in his right hand. "Killer Bass, as you said it yourself, you had twelve people at the start of this season, but by the end of this campfire ceremony, there will only be five of you left. I have five marshmallows on this plate. When I call your name, come up here and claim your marshmallow. The camper who does not receive a marshmallow tonight, must immediately return to the Dock of Shame to catch the Boat of Losers and leave the island. And you can't come back. Ever." Chris did the usual monologue.

"The campers receiving a marshmallow tonight are: Kylie, Regina, Melissa and Nathan." Chris continued as the aforementioned campers stood up to get their marshmallows. It was now down to Mason and Lester.

"Mason, you're on the chopping block for letting yourself get distracted by Janson's gorgeous body build during the final round of the challenge, and Lester, you're on the chopping block for failing to prevent Sybil from collecting all five flags." Chris told the two campers in the bottom two.

"Hey, I already told you that that chick was determined!" Lester replied in an annoyed tone of voice.

"I'm well aware of that, and that's why the final marshmallow of the night goes to you." Chris told Lester as the short teen sighed in relief and collected his marshmallow from Chris' now empty plate.

"Are you mad that you're now out of the game, Mason?" Kylie asked Mason with a concerned look on her face.

Mason smiled and shook his head. "Not at all. I got everything I wanted out of this whole experience. I was able to throw a few sick parties over at this island, I was able to make new friends on this island, and I even got myself a girlfriend on this island. What more could a guy want? Good luck in future challenges, guys. I'll be cheering you on back home. And hey, I did promise you guys a Killer Bass reunion party at that tropical swimming paradise near my house, so we'll be seeing each other again as soon as this show wraps up. Bye!" The party boy said as he got up from his seat and gave his five former teammates a high five before walking down the Dock of Shame with Chris. Mason then stepped aboard the Boat of Losers before it took off into the distance. Chris smiled and waved Mason off before turning towards the camera.

"And with Mason out of the picture, we've reached the second half of the competition. What will happen now that we've got half of the campers we've started with left? What drama could possibly unfold now that we're so close to the second half of the game? What gruesome challenge could we possibly be cooking up next time? Find out in the next thrilling episode of Total...Drama...Island!" Chris finished as the episode ended.

And that's a wrap on Episode 13 of Total Drama Island: The First Showdown! Apologies for taking so long to get this episode out, but I wanted to focus on some of my other Fanfiction stories, including my other two active Total Drama projects, Total Drama: Revenge of the Action and Total Drama: Crossover Island. But once I finally got around to writing this episode, I was able to get it done pretty quickly. I don't recall having ever finished an episode of this story so quickly before, so I'm pretty impressed with how fast I did this episode.

Special thanks to Thunderstrike16 for providing me with letter ideas for Melissa! Your continued input for the story is appreciated!

As you could tell, the challenge of this episode was based on that from X-Treme Torture, which was Episode 13 in the canon Total Drama Island season. I was originally going to use the challenge from Up The Creek in this episode, but I decided to use the challenge from X-Treme Torture instead because I felt that one was more action oriented and exciting.

And we also bid farewell to Mason in this episode. Like with Kennedy, it's a shame to eliminate Mason because he's such a wholesome character to write, but I had his elimination in this episode planned for a while, and he ended up going out in a similar way to Harold in the canon Total Drama Island season: The power of fanservice. But not to worry, as Mason will be partying on during the Aftermath episodes, so all's well that ends well.

I think it's needless to say, but with Mason's departure, we've reached the final 12 campers. Which means that the merge is close to being initiated. But before we hit the merge, we'll be having one more challenge, so look forward to that.

So, with the Author's Notes out of the way, it's time for some review questions!

#1: What did you think of the episode? Did I do a good job at adapting from the X-Treme Torture episode?

#2: What was your favorite part of the episode?

#3: Do you continue to enjoy Chris' nicer side that I'm giving him in this AU?

#4: Who do you think should have gone home?

#5: Do you have any questions for Mason at the next aftershow? Once again, you can also leave questions for Alexneushoorn and Blaineley, as they will answer those too.

Thanks for reading, and see you next time on the aftershow! :D – Alexneushoorn
