The episode opened with Chris on the Dock of Shame. "Last time, on Total Drama Island...The Screaming Gophers and the Killer Bass were disbanded into a Girls vs Guys battle. Said battle consisted of eating some of the most disgusting food the campers have eaten so far. Seriously, it made Chef's slop look like something out of a 5-star restaurant. No one went home at the end of the day, since the campers were just playing for the Viewer's Vote reward, which ended up being won by the girls. The girls ended up sailing off for a weekend trip on the S.S. La-Luxe together with yours truly, while the guys were left at the mercy of Chef for the entire weekend." Chris gave a recap of last episode's events before the scene cut back to him on the Dock of Shame.
"We're going to be heading into the big merge this week, and a mind boggling challenge awaits our remaining 12 campers. Who will be taking home the Viewer's Vote reward after the challenge has concluded? And who will be the first camper to set foot back on the Dock of Shame after the campfire ceremony? Find out right here, right now, on Total...Drama...Island!" Chris finished as the show's intro began to play.
Two spotlights rose into the air and were turned on. A camera rose from the ground where a groundhog was lying on while another camera came out of a tree.
Dear mom and dad, I'm doing fine.
The camera zoomed across the camp before heading over the edge of the cliff and going underwater to show Kylie swimming there as a shark followed from behind. She then proceeded to bravely kick the shark in the face and swam away as the shark rubbed its snout in pain. The camera proceeded to rise to the surface of the water where Sasha was sitting in a motorboat that she had just fixed with a wrench and gave a small smile to the camera.
You guys are on my mind.
The camera then went into the forest to find Michelle playing a game on her handheld as Tessa was painting her doing this. However, she was soon disturbed by Regina sliding down a tree trunk on a skateboard and hopping over Michelle and Tessa, causing the trestle that Tessa's painting was standing on the collapse and the painting to fall onto her, covering her in paint before she looked at the camera in annoyance.
You asked me what I wanted to be,
The camera continued to follow Regina riding her skateboard through the forest as she passed by Miles, giving him a high five as she did so. Miles grinned as he gave Regina a thumbs up and then ran off into the forest.
And I think the answer is plain to see...
Hana was practicing her Judo moves in an open clearing in the forest. As she did so, she accidentally kicked against a wire which caused a platform in a tree above her to collapse and then a bucket of water fell onto her, soaking her judo gi. Hana was visibly upset as she looked around for any perpetrators before the camera zoomed out to reveal Kennedy and Mason hiding behind a rock, struggling to contain their laughter.
I wanna be famous.
The camera then began following Nathan and Melissa as they were jogging out of the forest and towards camp as they smiled at each other.
I wanna live close to the sun.
The camera then zoomed towards a waterfall where Valerie and Victoria were slap fighting with each other in a canoe which promptly fell off the waterfall with them inside. Socorro was standing on a wooden log and was horrified to see Valerie and Victoria fall down the waterfall, but then the log he was standing on collapsed underneath him as he fell as well.
Go pack your bags, 'cause I've already won.
The camera then turned to Zane leaning against the outhouse confessional as he was waiting for the person who occupied it to come out. Sybil then proceeded to come out of the outhouse as she and Zane looked at each other in awkward silence.
Everything to prove, nothing in my way.
The camera then went into the mess hall as Chef was preparing a meal in there. He smiled as he looked at Oliver and Aston, whom he had tied up with rope. Oliver and Aston nervously looked at each other before looking at Chef.
I'll get there one day.
The camera then turned to Dustin and Lester playing chess against each other, with Dustin winning the game as he raised his arms in victory as Lester just shrugged his shoulders, being indifferent to losing the game of chess.
'Cause I wanna be famous.
The scene then showed Cameron and Grayson at the beach, staring at Janson, who was lying on the beach before he splashed his bare torso with water, turning it to steam, causing Cameron to fan her face in admiration while Grayson shook his head in annoyance at his sister's reaction.
Na na na na na na, na na na na, na na na na na na.
The scene then then showed a seagull with plastic around its neck drifting on the water as a shark jumped over it before being pulled underwater by an octopus.
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!
The camera then turned to Johan, who was sitting on a stool on the Dock of Shame with his guitar as he began to play it. He then proceeded to throw his baseball cap into the air as the camera began to follow it. The scene then turned to nighttime as Johan was sitting at the campfire and caught his baseball cap again before putting it back on his head. Chris and Chef then showed up with marshmallows.
[Whistling] I wanna be, I wanna be famous.
The camera then zoomed out to show all 24 campers sitting around the campfire, as well as a sign that read "Total Drama Island" on it.
The scene then cut to Miles, Janson, Zane, Lester and Nathan sitting around at Camp Wawanakwa, discussing their strategy for the next phase of the competition. "Alright, gentlemen. We must get down to business before the ladies return from their weekend retreat." Janson began to speak.
"What kind of business?" Nathan asked him curiously.
"Think about it, Nathan: There's seven ladies left in the game, and only five of us gentlemen. We're practically in the minority here, and those ladies are closer than family, so they would never even think of voting each other out at the campfire ceremonies that are to come going forward. They will be picking us gentlemen off one by one until there's only ladies left in the game, and after that, it's every lady for themselves. That's why I suggest that the five of us gentlemen form a men only alliance and band together to take out the ladies one by one until they're no longer a threat. Are you gentlemen all with me?" Janson asked his fellow male campers after explaining the deal to them, holding out his hand.
Miles thought about it before putting his hand on Janson's. "I'm with you." The brunette replied to the handsome Singaporean teen.
Lester put his hand on Miles'. "I'm with you guys too." He chimed in.
Zane gave it great thought before putting his hand on Lester's. "Alright, I'm with you too." The four of them then looked over at Nathan, giving him a "Well?" kind of look.
Nathan looked conflicted of being in a guys only alliance, but he eventually came to a decision and put his hand on top of Zane's. "Alright, I'm with you guys on this too." He said.
"Very well. Then I hereby declare our men only alliance confirmed." Janson stated as the guys raised their hands into the air to confirm their alliance. They soon heard the horn of the S.S. La-Luxe as they turned their heads to see the yacht arriving at the Dock of Shame, the girls dancing on the deck with grins and smiles on their faces as they departed from the yacht one by one.
"Woooohoooo! That was the best weekend I've had in ages!" Cameron cheered.
"Tell me about it, muchacha! That kind of fun is just priceless!" Valerie chimed in as the guys looked on in envy.
Sybil smirked and nodded. "Indeed. After all the work those men and women at that resort did on my body, I feel like a new woman." She added as she showed off the treatment she received at the resort.
-Confessional: Janson-
"That was supposed to be my body that got such a treatment!" The manipulative flirt scowled at the camera.
-End Confessional-
"It felt so good to not have to worry about this stupid camp for the past three to four days! Now I'm ready to take on whatever challenges Chris can throw at us!" Michelle cheered as well.
Melissa chuckled. "Yeah, same here." She said before looking over to the guys and holding up a plate of mini pizza. "Any one of you care for a mini pizza?" She asked the guys.
The guys looked at each other before shaking their heads. "No, thanks. We already had Chef's slop for breakfast." They said in unison, not wanting to swallow their pride and stroke the girls' ego they had gained over the weekend any further.
Melissa shrugged at that. "Oh well, more for us." She said as the girls all grabbed a mini pizza off the plate and began to eat them.
Kylie sighed in satisfaction. "Now that's classy food if I ever tasted it." The cheerleader murmured.
Regina chuckled. "Tell me about it. I think us girls have really become a tight knit family over the weekend. I don't know what the guys have been up to for the past weekend, but they definitely didn't do as much bonding as we did." She grinned as the girls all hugged each other and cheered before Chris' voice came onto the camp speakers.
"Alright, campers! Listen up! The teams are hereby officially dissolved! It's now every...camper...for themselves!" Chris announced over the camp speakers.
Valerie grinned over at the rest of the campers. "I hope you're all ready for the next challenge, because now that we're not playing in teams anymore, this full blooded Mexican is not holding anything back at all!"
Melissa smirked at the Mexican teen. "Oh, you're on. I've been itching for a revanche ever since you beat me at the end of that boot camp challenge from Chef." She told her.
Nathan chuckled at that. "Looks like the girls are itching for a fight now that the true contest is beginning." He remarked with a smile.
"Tell me about it." Zane nodded with a neutral expression on his face.
"Alright, campers! I'll be explaining more about the first post-merge challenge in about an hour! See you then! McLean out!" Chris announced over the camp speakers before going quiet.
"Out of my way! I need to use the confessional! I've got some stuff I need to get off my chest, no pun intended!" Valerie laughed before making her way over to the confessional.
"Yeah, I kinda need to use the confessional too." Sybil agreed.
"I think all of us would like to use the confessional now that the second phase of the competition has initiated." Lester chimed in as all 12 campers made their way over to the confessional.
-Confessional: Valerie-
"Well, what do you know? Valerie Rodriguez made the merge in Total Drama Island! That goes to show I've got the strength of a mountain lion, the brains of an elephant and the speed of a cheetah! Brooke, if you're watching this, know that your chiquita is going to fight her way to the finale, and after that, she'll be coming home with a 100 grand in her pocket! Love you!" Valerie blew a kiss at the camera.
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Sybil-
"Alright, the teams are no longer around, which means it's every camper for themselves now. The true contest is beginning, and I'm ready to serve some cold and calculated revenge to those scumbags Janson and Miles for getting Johan voted off a few weeks ago. I can't wait." Sybil flashed a determined smirk at the camera.
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Michelle-
"Merge time, baby! It's me, Miles, Janson and Cameron against the rest! We're going to throw the rest of the campers out, and then once it's the final four, it's me and Miles against Janson and Cameron, and if we're lucky, it could be me and Miles going to the finale together, and then the money will be ours! F-Negative, you'll be having a new game in your series before you know it!"
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Cameron-
"Yay, I made it to the next phase of the competition! With my hunky boyfriend Janson, no less! Needless to say, I'm excited for what's to come in the next phase of the competition! Once the money is mine, I'll be sure to share some of it with Janson, and then share most of the money with Grayson! Hopefully that should be a nice consolation prize for him after getting voted off so early in the competition weeks ago!"
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Melissa-
"When I started this adventure like four weeks ago, I had no idea I would make it this far into the competition. But now that I've made it this far, I might as well try to win. There's 11 other campers standing in my way to accomplish that goal, but I like a good challenge in getting that 100 grand. With Nathan by my side, I'm sure I'll be able to make it through."
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Kylie-
"About four weeks ago, I was almost voted out of this show first. But here I am, four weeks later, and still in the race for that $100.000. Even though it's statistically possible to only give 100%, I'm going to take it up a notch and give like 110% at all the challenges that are to follow! Nothing's gonna ever bring me down!"
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Regina-
"Did I ever doubt I was going to make it this far into the competition? Of course not! I just knew I had it in me to make it this far into the competition! After all, I'm a daredevil! And someone who isn't afraid of all the crazy challenges that this show has to offer is just bound to make it this far into the competition! And now that I've made it this far, I'm aiming for first place! Woo!" Regina cheered loudly.
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Janson-
"Alright, the next phase of the competition is here. Since the ladies are in the majority, I'm going to have to carefully play my cards if I want to stand a chance at securing the money I need to make my father see the light of day again. Hold on, father. Just a few more weeks, and your son will be a hundred grand richer, and then the two of us will finally be able to see each other again."
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Miles-
The brunette smirked at the camera. "Hehehe, looks like the machiavellian strategy has worked like a charm up until this point. I don't know how much longer I'll be able to keep up this strategy, but hey, as long as it works, I'll keep it up. I've made it up to the final 12, and I'm not stopping there. The finale is going to be the end destination of this guy's journey across this show. And then nothing will stop me from claiming that cash prize the host has in store for the winner."
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Zane-
"So I've made the halfway point of the competition. I'm glad I've been able to make it this far by being well liked by the Screaming Gophers during the team phase of the competition as well as keeping my head down while Janson and Miles were running the Gophers. And now I've agreed to forming a guys only alliance with the two of them. It's a morally compromising move, sure. But if I don't agree to a guys only alliance with Janson and Miles, they'll immediately start targeting me, and then I can kiss my spot in this game goodbye. This is a game full of calculated moves, and some of those moves are more morally flawed than others."
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Lester-
Lester smirked at the camera. "Of course I was going to make it this far into the competition. People sympathize with the weak kids who can't stand up for themselves and take them with them to the next phase of the competition. Now let's hope I can keep up this meek and innocent act long enough to make the finale and improve my life with the prize money."
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Nathan-
"Woohoo! I made the second phase of the competition! And Melissa did too! The two of us are going to rock this next phase of the competition, I just know it!"
-End Confessional-
The scene then cut to the 12 campers standing on diving boards that were mounted to a cliff. The diving boards were hanging above water. "Alright, campers! Your first post-merge challenge is a trivial challenge! And I hate to bring it to you, but it might perhaps be more painful than the previous trivial challenge we did!" Chris began to explain to the campers.
"What could possibly be more painful than electrocution?" Sybil asked with a glare.
"I'll get to that. Now, here's the deal: You're all standing on these diving boards. These diving boards are hanging above water. Said water is infested with snapping turtles who have a rather nasty bite." Chris continued to explain as the camera showed snapping turtles rising from the water below, snapping their jaws at the campers as they looked at the snapping turtles in utter horror.
"Every round of this challenge, I'm going to ask you all a question. If you answer the question correctly, nothing happens. However, if you answer the question incorrectly, you're going to have to take a step back on your diving board. Answer three questions incorrectly, and you're going to fall into the water, where the snapping turtles will most certainly get you. The last camper to be left standing on their diving board will win immunity and cannot be voted off at tonight's elimination ceremony. And for the lucky camper who won the Viewer's Vote, we'll have a reward waiting." Chris finished his explanation of the challenge.
"This should be easy. I'm a very smart individual." Valerie smirked.
"Well, so am I, Valerie. So be prepared for me to give you a run for your money." Melissa smirked back.
"Alright, are you all ready? Then let's get to the first question! What is a bit in computer language?" Chris asked as he looked at his card, and a lot of campers immediately raised their hands. "Alright, Valerie! We'll start with you!" The raven haired host said, pointing at the Mexican teen.
"A one and a zero." Valerie said.
"Alright. Melissa, over to you." Chris then said to Melissa.
"A one and a zero, just like what Valerie said." Melissa replied.
"Alright. Sybil?" Chris asked Sybil.
"I'm going with Valerie and Melissa and say "A one and a zero."" Sybil shrugged.
"Michelle?" Chris asked the blond gamer.
"I don't wanna sound like a sheep by following the other girls, so I'll pass on this one." Michelle shrugged.
"Cameron?" Chris then asked the climber.
"I'm agreeing with Michelle on this one. Pass." Cameron replied.
"Kylie?" Chris asked Kylie.
"I'm going with Valerie, Melissa and Sybil. A one and a zero." Kylie replied.
"I pass." Regina said.
"A one and a zero." All the male campers said in unison.
"Alright, let's tally up the answers. All the campers except for Michelle, Regina and Cameron got the answer right. Ladies, I'm going to have to ask you to take a step back on your diving board." Chris told Michelle, Regina and Cameron, who groaned in response as they all took a step back on their diving board.
"I really hope I won't fall into that damn water. I don't want my clothes to get soaked, nor do I want to get bit by those snapping turtles." Michelle sighed in annoyance as she folded her arms in front of her chest.
"Neither do I, so I hope I'll be getting the rest of the questions right." Cameron chimed in with a worried look on her face.
"No pain, no gain, as I always say." Regina shrugged.
"Alright, are you all ready for the next question? Here goes!" Chris announced as he pulled out his next card. "Who was the month July named after?" The raven haired host asked as most of the campers, with the exception of Regina, Nathan and Cameron raised their hands.
"Alright, everybody who raised their hands, say your answer!" Chris told the campers with raised hands.
"Julius Caesar!" The campers with raised hands replied in unison.
"Correct! You all get to remain where you are! Regina, Nathan, Cameron, I'm sorry to say this, but you all didn't answer the question, so I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to take a step back on your diving board." Chris told Regina, Nathan and Cameron, who all begrudgingly took a step back on their diving boards. "Regina, Cameron, you're both in the danger zone now. One more false answer or no answer, and you'll be snapping turtle food. Keep that in mind, okay?" Chris told the climber and daredevil with a concerned look on his face.
Cameron nodded. "I'm well aware, Chris. I'll do my best to get this next one right." She assured the raven haired host.
"I'm not afraid of those snapping turtles. If I fall in the water and get bit, so be it." Regina shrugged.
"Alright. Moving on to the next question..." Chris said as he pulled out the next question card. "What continent is Timbuktu located on?" The raven haired host asked the campers as they raised their hands.
"Let's hear your answers." Chris said.
"Africa!" Most of the campers except for Regina and Nathan said in unison.
"South America!" Regina said.
"I pass." Nathan sighed.
"Alright, everyone except Regina and Nathan got the question correctly. Regina, Nathan. Take a step back on your diving boards, please." Chris told the daredevil and the athlete, who did as the raven haired host said. "Regina, you got three questions wrong. I'm sorry, but you're out of the challenge. Chef, if you would?" Chris asked his co-host.
"With pleasure, Chris." Chef grinned menacingly as he pressed a big red button on a remote, causing the diving board to open up underneath Regina, causing the daredevil to fall into the water.
"Woohoo!" Regina exclaimed as she hit the water with a splash as the snapping turtles began to bite her. "No pain, no gain, as I always say!" She cheered.
Chef shook his head. "That kid ain't right..." He muttered under his breath.
"Nathan, you're also in the danger zone now. One more mistake, and you'll suffer the same fate as Regina." Chris warned the athletic boy.
"I know, Chris. I know." Nathan nodded.
"Alright, time for the next question..." Chris continued with the challenge as he pulled out the next question card. "What was one of the musical sources for the musical genre of jazz?" He asked the campers, as most of them except for Sybil, Michelle, Kylie, Cameron and Zane raised their hands.
"Ragtime!" The campers with raised hands said in unison.
"Correct! Those who answered the question correctly may remain where they are, whereas those who didn't answer the question must take a step back on their diving board as usual." Chris told everyone as the campers who didn't answer the question took a step back on their diving board. "Cameron, I'm afraid you've gotten three questions wrong and will be sent into the water by Chef Hatchet." Chris told Cameron.
"Shoot..." Cameron sighed as the diving board opened up underneath her and she fell into the water with a scream before she began to get bit by the snapping turtles, exclaiming in pain as they did so. The other campers, Janson, Lester and Miles included cringed at the sight of this.
"I don't care what universe you're from, that's gotta hurt." Lester remarked.
"This is not the moment for pop culture references, my friend." Janson pointed out.
"Sorry." Lester replied as he sheepishly rubbed his neck.
"Alright, back to the challenge. Michelle, you're also in the danger zone now. Try to keep yourself out of the water." Chris warned the blond gamer.
"This show sucks..." Michelle muttered under her breath.
"Alright, on to the next question! What is the name of the art movement that took place between 1640 and 1720 and generally refers to a high regard for a classical period?" Chris asked the campers. Most of the campers except for Lester raised their hands.
"Classicism!" All campers except for Nathan said.
"Shoot, why are all these questions about things I know bupkis about...?" Nathan groaned.
"All of you except for Nathan and Lester are correct! Nathan, Lester...Take a step back on your boards, please." Chris told the athlete and the schemer as they begrudgingly did so. "Nathan, dude. Three wrong answers, and you know what that means." The raven haired host added.
Nathan sighed. "I know, Chris, I know...Send me into the depths..." He said with his head hanging down before the diving board opened up underneath him, causing the athlete to fall into the water with a scream before the snapping turtles began to bite him.
Melissa looked concerned for her boyfriend's well being before turning to Chris. "Have the producers of this show ever considered the safety risks of a challenge like this before approving it?" She asked Chris.
"They have, but they implemented it anyway. I wish I could do something about it, but unfortunately, I'm just the host of this show. I don't have a say in the challenges that get performed on this show." Chris shrugged with a frown.
Melissa nodded. "I see...Well, no point in filling up this show's runtime with babbling about the safety risks of the challenges, I suppose. Let's get on with it." She said after recomposing herself.
Chris nodded. "Agreed." He replied as he grabbed the next question card. "What year was depression discovered?" He asked the campers as they all raised their hands.
"In the 1970s!" Most campers except for Janson, Miles, Sybil, Kylie and Zane exclaimed.
Chris proceeded to check his card. "Correct! Everyone who didn't get the question right, please take a step back on your boards." The campers who didn't get the question right did as Chris instructed. "Sybil, Kylie, Zane, the three of you are all in the danger zone. You know what will happen if you don't answer one more question correctly by now." The raven haired host warned.
-Confessional: Zane-
"Even if I did lose my chance at immunity for the upcoming elimination ceremony, I wouldn't be concerned about being on the chopping block at the elimination ceremony tonight. I'm well liked by pretty much everyone still left in the game, so I should be safe for the upcoming elimination ceremony."
-End Confessional-
"Alright, here comes our next question!" Chris announced as he pulled out the next question card. What was the reason Shaka Zulu was killed?" The raven haired host asked as all the campers raised their hands.
"He went insane following his mother's passing and started starving his people." All campers said in unison.
Chris smiled and nodded. "Correct! All of you got the question correct, so no one has to take a step back!" He announced as all the campers sighed in relief.
A montage of the rest of the challenge was then shown. As Chris asked the questions, some of the campers were able to answer them correctly, while others were unable to answer them correctly and were promptly sent flying into the snapping turtle infested waters below where they became chew toys for the snapping turtles. Eventually, the montage ended, and only Valerie and Melissa remained on their diving board as the rest of the campers were watching them, all of them having soaked clothes and being covered in bruises and bite marks from the snapping turtles. Valerie and Melissa were both in the danger zone.
"Well, well. After a bunch of rounds, we've been able to cut it down to our two final competitors who will be duking it out for immunity in this final question. Whoever answers this next question correctly will win immunity at tonight's elimination ceremony, while the loser will become snapping turtle food. Alright, are you both ready for the last question?" Chris asked Valerie and Melissa.
"Born ready!" Valerie smirked confidently.
"Bring it on." Melissa smirked as well.
"Alright, here comes our final question: What is a wormhole?" Chris asked Valerie and Melissa, causing both ladies to gasp and raced to be the first one to raise their hand.

"And...Melissa!" Chris said, pointing towards the athletic nerd.
"A wormhole, or Einstein-Rosen bridge is a speculative structure linking disparate points in spacetime, and is based on a special solution of the Einstein field equations!" Melissa said before gasping for air.
"Correct! Melissa wins the challenge!" Chris announced as Melissa began cheering happily and jumping up and down in celebration while Valerie angrily stomped her foot on her diving board in frustration. "Valerie, what can I say? It sucks to be you right now. I'm sure that the other campers who dropped out of the challenge before you can tell you how nasty those snapping turtles can bite. And now you're going to be finding that out for yourself." Chris told the Mexican teen as her diving board opened underneath her, and she fell into the water.
"Curse this fucking shoooow!" Valerie shouted as she fell into the water with a splash and the snapping turtles began to bite her, causing the Mexican teen to start shouting obscenities in Spanish.
"What's she saying?" Michelle asked Cameron as she looked down at Valerie being bitten, raising an eyebrow.
"Trust me, you don't want to know." Cameron assured her. The scene then cut to Chris giving the campers a debrief.
"Alright, campers! Your first post-merge challenge is a wrap! Now let's see which one of you 12 won the Viewer's Vote! With a majority of 2 points, the winner of the Viewer's Vote is...Valerie!" Chris announced as Valerie grinned and pumped her fist in excitement.
"¡Así es como nosotros lo hacemos!" Valerie exclaimed in excitement.
"Valerie, since you won the Viewer's Vote, you win this amazing luxury caravan that you get to take home at the end of the summer!" Chris announced as the camera turned to said luxury caravan.
Valerie gasped happily as she ran over to the caravan and hugged it. "Caramba! An autograph and album from Celine Dion AND a luxury caravan?! Brooke is going to be pleased as punch when I get home!" She cheered.
"Alright, campers. Head back to camp and get ready to vote out anyone except for Melissa, since she has immunity tonight." Chris told the campers as they began to head back to camp.
The scene then cut to Nathan, Lester, Janson and Miles having gathered at the Dock of Shame to discuss their votes for the upcoming elimination ceremony. Zane wasn't present as he was in the shower at the communal washroom.
"So, who are we going to vote off at the campfire tonight?" Lester asked his fellow men.
"I think that now that it's every camper for himself, the choice of who should go home tonight is obvious: Valerie." Miles piped up.
"Why her in particular?" Nathan asked the machiavellian, raising a confused eyebrow.
"Think about it: She's smart, she's strong, she's athletic, and she's got a bunch of weird skills that have aided us on the Screaming Gophers team in the past. If we don't boot her now, she could easily plow her way to the finale. She's got to go." Miles explained to Nathan.
Nathan nodded hesitantly at that. "Yeah, I guess she is rather dangerous when it comes to challenges now that there's no more teams...How are we going to go about voting her off?" She then asked.
"Simple: I'll ask Michelle to vote off Valerie, Janson will ask Cameron to vote her off, Lester will ask Regina to vote her off and you'll ask Melissa to vote her off. I've noticed that Zane is all buddy buddy with Valerie, so he would never vote her off. But if the four of us are voting for Valerie, and we can get four of the other girls to vote with us, then Valerie should be gone by the end of the night." Miles explained.
Janson nodded at that. "I'll do the best I can to get my lady Cameron to vote with us." He replied.
"I'll see what I can do about getting Regina to vote with us. I mean, she saved my butt from that shark back during the very first challenge we played on this show, so she possibly still has my back from that." Lester chimed in.
Nathan nodded hesitantly. "I'll see if I can get Melissa to vote with us too." He concluded.
"Alright, then that's decided. Good luck, gentlemen. And remember: If this plan works, we'll have eliminated the currently most dangerous player in the game." Miles said before the guys walked off.
-Confessional: Nathan-
"I gotta say: Making it to the second phase of the competition isn't as fun as I thought it would be. I mean, sure, during the team phase of the competition, we've had the misfortune of robbing people of their run in the game, but now that we've reached the second phase of the competition, robbing someone of their run in the game just stings even harder than it did during the team phase. But I suppose that's just part of the game, and I have no choice but to get on with it, even if I dislike it."
-End Confessional-
The scene then cut to the campfire ceremony at night, where the 12 remaining campers were due to sent someone home. Chris was standing at his podium with a plate of marshmallows in his right hand. "Campers, I'm sure that now that the 12 of you have made it this far into the competition, you all wanna make it to the end. But unfortunately, only two of you can make it to the finale, which means we still have 10 more campers to get rid of before we can find out which one of you will have a shot at winning a hundred grand. You've all cast your votes and made your decision. I only have 11 marshmallows on this plate. When I call your name, come up here and claim your marshmallow. The camper who does not receive a marshmallow tonight must immediately return to the Dock of Shame and catch the Boat of Losers. Which means you're out of the contest. And you can't come back. Ever." Chris did his usual monologue for the elimination ceremony.
"Those safe with no votes are...Cameron, Janson, Sybil, Michelle, Lester, Nathan, Melissa, Regina, Kylie and Zane." Chris continued as the aforementioned campers proceeded to get up from their seats and picked their marshmallows off the plate. It was now down to Valerie and Miles.
"Valerie, you're on the chopping block for becoming a very dangerous player with your strength, smarts and athleticism as well as your very strange set of skills, and Miles, you're on the chopping block because you're just not liked by some of the people still left in the competition. Only one of you can receive the final marshmallow, and that final marshmallow will be received by...

...Miles." Chris finished as Miles sighed in relief while some of the other campers, Valerie included gasped in shock. Miles quickly got up from his seat and grabbed his marshmallow off the plate and began to eat it.
"Why? Why me?" Valerie asked in disbelief.
Regina shrugged. "Just like Chris over there said: You've become a very dangerous player with how strong, smart and athletic you are, as well as your strange set of skills. It's every camper for himself now, and we definitely don't want to compete against a player as skilled as you are." She bluntly stated.
"Valerie, the Dock of Shame awaits." Chris told the Mexican teen as he gestured towards the Dock of Shame.
Zane walked up to Valerie. "Valerie, it was an honor competing alongside you on this show for the past four weeks or so. Will we meet again back in the real world?" The strategist asked the Mexican teen.
Valerie smiled and nodded before giving Zane a hug. "It's a done deal, hombre. I'm sure Brooke would be glad to meet you. For now, I must say goodbye." She said before pulling away from the hug and getting up from her seat and walking down the Dock of Shame.
"The rest of you, enjoy your marshmallows. You're all safe...for now." Chris told the remaining 11 campers.
-Confessional: Zane-
Even though his face didn't show it, Zane was definitely ticked off. "I get the feeling that Miles and the other guys have been scheming behind my back to get Valerie out of the game. It may not look like it, but I'm really mad right now. Valerie was a good friend and ally of mine, and now she's gone. I might not have the numbers on my side, but I'm going to do a lot of calculating and figuring out ways to play my cards to assure that Janson and Miles won't reach the finale. I just cannot allow them to do so after they schemed behind my back to get a good friend and ally of mine out of the game."
-End Confessional-
The scene cut to Valerie standing on the Dock of Shame as Chef pulled up to her in the Boat of Losers. Valerie stepped on board as the Boat of Losers took off. "Hey, hombre. Can you believe that I'm out of the game right now?" She asked Chef.
Chef nodded at that. "Damn right. You may have been a thorn in my side during your stay at Camp Wawanakwa, but ever since you completed my boot camp challenge the other week, you've been able to earn my respect. Tell your dad I said hi when ya see him, a'ight?" He asked Valerie.
Valerie smiled and nodded. "Will do, hombre. Will do."
Chef smiled, even though Valerie couldn't see him do so. "Cool." He concluded before the episode finished.

And with that, Episode 15, and therefore the first post-merge episode of Total Drama Island: The First Showdown has come to an end! As you could all see, the first camper to rock the Boat of Losers after the merge was none other than Valerie! I originally hadn't planned for Valerie to be eliminated in this episode, but given the fact that Valerie is strong, smart, athletic AND has a wide range of weird skills, it made more sense for her to be the first post-merge boot. Apologies to Fritz Electroscreech for Valerie's elimination here, but if it's any consolation, hopefully you'll enjoy seeing Valerie in the coming Aftermath episodes! Valerie was definitely a fun character to write personality wise because she reminds me so much of Leshawna, and fellow SYOC writer Pichu77 has even referred to Valerie as a new age Leshawna, and other people have said about Valerie that if any future Total Drama seasons would add any new contestants, Valerie would definitely be one of those type of new contestants! So thanks to Fritz Electroscreech for submitting and letting me use Valerie! :D

Thanks for reading, and see you next time on the aftershow! :D – Alexneushoorn
