Love Doesn't Sit Still

A/N: This Fan Fiction is based on the Galar region and games (Sword/Shield) featuring CanonXOC It is based on the GAMES not the anime/manga. And to clarify confusion (because I know I have written multiple fic based on these games XD ) This is a completely different and separate story from the other Sword/Shield fics I have written. They are not connected and they do not interract.

"Hey! Aanya~!" Hop waved her down as she made her shuffling steps toward the bottom of the hill, "You were taking forever so I was about to come back and carry you over!" he teased and she blushed.

"I-I am perfectly capable of walking!" she huffed. His teasing grin only made her cheeks flush more red when the loud clattering sounded from nearby.

"Hey, it's another Wooloo." he said, "But what is it doing?"

One of the many wild Wooloo around Potswick happened to have found its way to a gated area near Aanya's home.

"That's the Slumbering Weald, isn't it?" she asked.

The Slumbering Weald was a forest area where Both Aanya and Hop were absolutely forbidden to go.

"Hey, you silly Wooloo I see what you're up to!" he huffed, "Don't go using Tackle on the fencing!" he said.

But the sheep only bleated in disobedience before continueing its tantrum.

"Now you listen!" Hop huffed,"No going past the fence! No!" he said as he went to manually move the Poke'mon away,"There are scary Poke'mon living in the Slumbering Weald!"

"Beeeeeh~!"

"Don't you start too, Floofy." said Aanya, "Well I can tell you one thing Wooloo did not like that!" she teased and Hop only heaved a heavy sigh and shook his head.

"Say, Aan!" said Hop, "What say we race!?" he grinned, "I bet I can make it to my house first.

"We're on a hill, Hop!" said Aanya, "Bring it on!"

And yet another race commenced. Hop's house wasn't far from Aanya's. There was really only a hill of walk way between them. Aanya lived at the top, Hop, down at the bottom. But no matter which house window you looked out of, the other's house was visbly in view.

"I made it first!" said Hop.

"I call shinanigans!" Aanya panted, "I demand a do-over!"

"Fat chance!" Hop laughed as he victory danced his way into the kitchen,"Mum! Is he here!?" said Hop.

"There you are at last, Hop!" said his mom, "And you brought Aanya with you~ hello dear!"

"Hi. Mom 2." said Aanya.

At this point in their friendship she was pretty much considered family. Hop's mother loved her~

But she had still yet to have met the infamous Leon, Hop's older brother.

"Yeah, yeah, but where's Lee?" said Hop.

"Still not here, dear!" his moher sighed,"Honestly, Love, you must learn some paitience!"

"Good luck with that~" Aanya scoffed.

"Oh yeah, like you're one to talk on me, Aan!" he snickered as he poked her sides and made her giggle.

"He's probably only just arriving at Wedgehurst Station about now..." said Hop's mother as she pondered while glancing at the clock.

"Then that's where I'm going!" said Hop, "You know Lee's hopeless with directions, so I'll make sure he doesn't get lost on the way."

"Hmm...that probably is for the best." his mother chuckled.

Suddenly Aanya felt a warm hand grasp in hers, and that same warmth seemed to travel from where it touched, all the way up her arm and into her cheeks.

"You've got to come with me, Aan-ee!" he said to her, "You still haven't met my bro, right?"

"U-Uhh..." Aanya gulped, "Uhm...no...I haven't..."

"Then you can't miss out on your chance to meet the undefeated Champion!" Hop beamed. She could feel her heart throb in her chest. He always smiled so brightly whenever he talked about his brother.

I hope I make him smile like that too whenever he talks about me...

She thought to herself.

Though...she wasn't even sure he really talked about her with anybody other than his mom. His hand warmed up and tightened around hers. It was so big compared to her own, that whenever he held it, it felt like it could swallow hers up. And that warmth would spread all through her whenever he did. Without letting go, or even giving her warning, he took off running out the door once again, this time with her hand in his. And frankly...

There was no where else she would rather it be.

The station at Wedghurst was crowded. What could anyone expect with a visiting Champion? Especially one so beloved in all of Galar such as Leon. The tall man stepped off the train, decked out like a King. His smile was bright and his signature Charizard Pose was a whole different feeling live and in the flesh.

"Hello~ Hello~ Wedgehurst! Your Champion, Leon, is back~" he was adored by Trainers young and old. They crowded around him and loved him.

"I promise~ I'll keep doing my best to deliver the greatest battles for you to watch!" the gatherers cheered.

"It's our Unbeatable Champion!" they cried. And Hop couldn't have felt more proud.

When you look at them both smiling like that it's easy to see they're from the same Gene Pool...

Aanya smiled with a soft flush to her cheeks, that only glowed more vibrant when Hop called Leon over and the man approchedt them with glee.

Oh Goodness he's coming...!

Aanya gulped.

Helooks just like Hop!

She thought to herself.

They're both so handsome...! I-I mean...what!?

As she continued with her internal meltdown, the brothers chatted to catch up, and suddenly she felt two sets of Hazel eyes burning into her skin.

They're both looking at me-

She thought to herself.

Be cool...Be cool!

"I see...so these bright eyes over here belong to the infamous Aanya, do they?"

"EH!?" Aanya blushed heavily, "i-Infamous...?"

So...he talks about me!?

With his brother too!?

"That's right!" Hop beamed, "She's my one and only~"

"Hop..." She gulped...

His one and only...

"Aan-ee!" he beamed and threw himself around her and she had officially reached the color of beets.

Of course it's too good to be true...

She pouted.

"Enough with that stupid nick name!" she panicked, "I hate it!"

"What!? No you don't~" he teased, "You love it!"

"I do not!" she huffed.

"A bit of a tsundere, is she?" this time Leon joined in on the teasing.

"SUCH a Tsundere!" Hop teased.

"I am NOT a Tsundere!" she huffed, "I-I just... uh..."

"Just blush for fun do you?" teased Leon.

"I-I'm not blushing!" she huffed, "We were just racing and I forgot how to breathe!"

"Riiiight okay, so THAT'S why you lost?" Hop beamed.

"No, you cheated!"

"I didn't cheat!"

"Oh sure, I forgot running 10 feet ahead before calling it a race is totally not cheating!"

"HaHaHa." this playful banter between them was more than entertaining and Leon was hooked, "I can see you two get along well!" he laughed.

"Whatever!" called Hop, "Come on Leon, and you two, Aanya~" he said, "I bet I can beat you both back home!" and he was off once again, this time leaving Leon and Aanya behind.

"That little brother of mine..." Leon chuckled,"Always wanting to be the best, isn't he?"

"I think he's already the best..." Aanya said softly.

"What?" Leon blinked curiously.

"Uh-I-" She blushed, "I-I said I think he thinks he's already the best..." she shyed away quickly avoiding Leon's curious gaze that turned into a playful smile.

"You know...with a proper rival of his own..." he said softly,"I bet he could push himelf to become someone even better."

"What?" Aanya blinked, but when she turned toward where Leon used to be, he was already gone, full speed ahead.

"What say you, little Aanya~?" he called back to her, "You up for having a Champion time~!?" he beamed.

Yep. They're definitely brothers...

She thought to herself.

Neither one of them can sit still for very long, can they?

She laughed to herself before running to catch up.

It's funny though...

My mom was right.

Ever since I met Hop...

Neither can I~
