Love Doesn't Sit Still

A/N: This Fan Fiction is based on the Galar region and games (Sword/Shield) featuring CanonXOC It is based on the GAMES not the anime/manga. And to clarify confusion (because I know I have written multiple fic based on these games XD ) This is a completely different and separate story from the other Sword/Shield fics I have written. They are not connected and they do not interract.
There was no telling how much time had passed as Aanya groaned herself awake...and Hop soon after her.
"...Augh...that was mad..." the boy said, shaking his head as he rubbed it, he seemed to bump it when he fell...whenever that was...
"Aanya...are you all right?" he blinked, "Aanya!?"
"Yeah...i'm all right..." the girl sighed as she wobbled herself into sitting up, rubbing her eyes, "but what happened just then..."
"I haven't the foggiest..." Hop sighed as he rose to his feet and dusted off his knees before approaching the girl and offering her a hand. Her skin tone was naturally lightly tanned...but she seemed pale to him when he pulled her close. The experience they just had really startled her...
"Speaking of fog..." she said softly, "it seems to have cleared up now..."
"Hop! Aanya!" Leon's voice could be heard echoing through the trees, and he came rushing through the foliage.
"Wha...Lee?" Hop blinked, "...How did you manage to find your way here?" he asked, "You're pants with directions! You always get lost!"
"Oh, that's nice to hear from the little brother who had me worried sick!" snapped Leon with both hands on his hips. A man who came off so cheerful and easy going as the little brother that came after him, sure could get angry just the same.
"Please don't be too mad at Hop..." Aanya spoke up softly, "He's only here because of me-"
"Oh I KNOW why he's here!" Leon huffed, "He's here because he deliberately disobeyed me when I told him to stay put, THAT'S why he's here!" he sighed and folded his arms, "And you, Aanya...are you mad!?" he blinked, "Wandering into the Slumbering Weald? You have your mother worried sick!" he snipped, "So OF COURSE I came looking for both of you!"
"S-Sorry Lee..." Hop muttered softly.
"Yeah, sorry..."
With his brows furrowed and his cheeks puffed, Leon let out a heavy sigh and calmed himself, returning his arms to hang by his side once again.
"Never mind that...I'm just glad you both are all right..." he said softly pulling them both into a warm embrace against his chest. Being pressed and squeezed so close together, Hop and Aanya exchanged a look, both blushing and averting their gazes until Leon released them once again.
"Though I am rather curious to know..." he stated, "What on earth possessed you to wander into the Slumbering Weald in the first place?" he asked.
"Oh that...it was so strange!" said Aanya, "I thought I heard crying in the woods..."
"Crying in the woods?" Lee questioned that with a raised brow.
"Tell me about it." said Hop, "I thought she was mad as well, until I heard it too!" he stated.
"You don't say..." Leon blinked.
With Hop saying the same, he found the story to be more believable.
"I thought someone was in trouble or something." said Aanya, "So I wanted to try and help, that's all-"
"Only the cries we were hearing didn't belong to a person at all!" said Hop, "But two Massive and mad Poke'mon!"
Aanya nodded as well.
"Hmmm..." Leon hummed before letting out a sigh, "You two KNOW this place is out of bounds..." he said softly, "But it took courage to wander in here all the same...and with the story you were telling me, about thinking someone was in trouble and only wanting to help...I can understand well enough why you did it..." He smiled and placed a palm on each of their heads, "You had nothing but good intentions in your heart..." he smiled and nodded, "You two did good...good job."
"Still though...that was wild." said Hop, "I thought we'd had it when that weird fog started rolling in and those mad Poke'mon attacked..."
"I must admit..." said Leon, "These mad Poke'mon you keep mentioning...has got me right curious." he blinked.
"It seemed loads stronger than any Poke'mon i've ever seen!" said Hop, "It just had this sort of...presence..."
"Yeah..." Aanya nodded, "And our moves didn't even touch them!"
"That's right!" said Hop, "They seemed to pass right through them!"
"Your moves passed through them?" Leon pondered, "So these fearsome Poke'mon that they say Live in the Slumbering Weald...could they actually be illusions?"
"Illusions?" Hop and Aanya blinked simultaneously and exchanged a glance.
"Hmmm." Leon smiled, "Perhaps one day if you two get strong enough...you may be the ones to find out!" he grinned, "For now however...let's just get you out of this place." he said, "You'll be all right now that I'm with you."
"Heh...even if we did wind up getting an earful from Lee...what an experience!" Hop grinned, "This will make a pretty fine first page in the tale of my legend!"
"Oh yes, I can see it now-The Legend Of Hop" Aanya laughed, "Don't even mention me or anything-" she said huffing playfully while walking away.
"What are you talking about, Aan? You're gonna be my book's dedication!" he beamed and quickly followed her out, with Lee following closely behind.

"The two sat outside together near the stone wall that lined the incline to Aanya's house while Leon spoke with Suzette. Each one sipping a hot cup of tea that she had made to calm their stimulation from such an ordeal. Leon made his way down soon enough.
"So?" Hop blinked with a question in his hazel eyes, "Did you manage to talk to her?" he asked.
"You mean aside from having to calm a worried mother after her daughter had just wandered off into the woods without a word?" Leon blinked, "Oh yes, we had a nice chat."
"Yeah...I don't suppose that would have helped to convince her on much of anything, huh?" Aanya gave an awkward smile and sighed.
"Yeah...we weren't exactly thinking on that part..." said Hop.
Leon smiled, which raise a questionable look from both of them.
"She did say this much." said Leon, "She agrees with me that it might be a good idea to let you get a Poke'dex from the Poke'mon lab in Wedgehurst." he stated, "It's not too far of a trek from here to there, so it should be all right." Leon shrugged.
Aanya's eyes widened and her lips curled into a small smile.
"ALL RIGHT LEE!" Hop beamed-
"But you two aren't going anywhere tonight!" he said with arms folded, "I think it's wise you rest it up...and take it easy at home." he stated, "You can make the walk in the morning.
"All right...that's fair." Hop chuckled awkwardly.
"Then let's meet up again tomorrow!" said Hop, "I'll see you at mine then, yeah?" he said waving.
"I'll be there!" said Aanya, waving him off before returning to her own home.
I can't believe leon managed to convince that much from my mother...
She thought to herself.
He's so, totally amazing!
She beamed blushing.
I owe him one...
Aanya's mom waited for her with open arms, apologizing for the way she had acted before without thinking. She was relieved to see her daughter home safe, as was her Wooloo, Floofy who Aanya thanked with a head pat. After all, if it weren't for her Hop would never have showed up at all...then she really would have been in trouble. She sighed, hitting the bed hard with arms folded behind her head and her eyes zoned into the cieling. She had a day full of stimulation that was for sure...
But even with that...compared to her racing heart full of nerves and excitement, she couldn't get a wink of sleep.
