Chunky and Lanky had made their way into the next area of the Crocodile Resort, where they ran into a Manky Kong that was sitting on a ledge and chucking an endless supply of barrels at them. "Whoa! That's a Manky Kong! It's one of our kind that was exiled from our family!" Lanky pointed out.
"Y-Yeah...And it doesn't seem to be pleased by it..." Chunky frowned.
"Well, let's give that sucker a taste of his own medicine!" Lanky grinned as him and Chunky both grabbed a barrel that the Manky Kong chucked at them before chucking the barrels back at him, knocking him out. "Alright, he's down! We're free to pass now!" Lanky cheered as him and Chunky began to progress into the area.
As Chunky and Lanky progressed into the area, they found a bunch of Slippas creeping on the ground. "Yikes! Slippas! I hate them!" Chunky whimpered.
"Hey, relax, Chunky! Just jump on 'em, and you should be fine!" Lanky assured him before demonstrating by jumping on the Slippas, defeating them. "Now you try." He added.
"O-Okay then..." Chunky then proceeded to jump on the remaining Slippas, defeating them as well. "H-Hey, you were right, Lanky! This wasn't so bad!" Chunky smiled.
"Told ya! Now let's move on to the next part of this area!" Lanky said as he took the lead, with Chunky following behind.
The two Kongs soon made their way to the end of the area, where the End of the Level Target was being guarded by a Krusha wielding an Orange Grenade Launcher. "Stay right where you are, Kongs! King K. Rool has tasked me with guarding this End of the Level Target, and you're never getting past me!" The Krusha warned as he cocked his Orange Grenade Launcher.
"O-Oh no! How are we gonna deal with this situation, Lanky?" Chunky asked Lanky with a nervous frown.
"I'm thinking, Chunky, I'm thinking..." Lanky replied as he thought, looking around the area before getting an idea. "I got it! Alright, Chunky, here's what I want you to do..." Lanky said as he began to whisper a plan into Chunky's ear, and the gorilla smiled and nodded at Lanky's plan.
The scene then cut to Lanky standing in front of the Krusha. "Hey, Krusha! I bet you can't hit me with your Orange Grenade Launcher!" The orangutan taunted.
The Krusha growled at that. "I can prove that I can hit you and I will!" He retorted as he began to fire Orange Grenades at Lanky, who began to dodge them. As the Krusha was being distracted by Lanky, Chunky snuck past him and hit the End of the Level Target, claiming the DK Coin sitting on top of it.
The Krusha then turned around, realizing he had been tricked. "Darn it! Those blasted Kongs tricked me!" He grumbled in frustration before being knocked unconscious by a good sucker punch from Lanky, who proceeded to steal the Krusha's Orange Grenade Launcher.
"Let's keep this Orange Grenade Launcher! It might come in handy!" Lanky grinned as Chunky smiled and nodded and the two Kongs progressed to the next area of the Crocodile Resort.
Chunky and Lanky soon made their way into the next area of the Crocodile Resort, where they were greeted by Neckies flying through the area to attack them. "Looks like the area is swarming with Neckies, Lanky." Chunky remarked.
"Yep. Why don't you take our new toy for a spin on those guys?" Lanky said with a grin as he tossed Chunky the Orange Grenade Launcher they stole from the Krusha earlier.
"Sure, why not?" Chunky smiled as he proceeded to fire Orange Grenades at the Neckies, knocking them out of the sky, allowing Chunky and Lanky to pass, which the Kongs proceeded to do.
Chunky and Lanky then ran into a Klump who was patrolling the area by himself. It didn't seem to notice the Kongs just yet.
"Oh, it's a Klump! Let's try to carefully sneak past him..." Chunky quietly said as Lanky nodded and the two Kongs attempted to sneak past the Klump. Unfortunately, the Kongs' footsteps were so loud, that it caught the Klump's attention.
"Kongs detected! You're not supposed to be here!" Klump said as he charged at the Kongs.
"Darn it, he caught us!" Chunky said as he fired an Orange Grenade at the Klump, knocking him out cold.
"Come on, Chunky! Let's go, before any more Kremlings find us!" Lanky told Chunky as the two Kongs bolted out of there.
Chunky and Lanky then ran by a sleeping Krusha. Unfortunately, the Kongs' running caused the Krusha to wake up and take notice of them. "Hey! Come back here, you filthy Kongs!" The Krusha exclaimed as he gave chase to Chunky and Lanky.
"Crud! That Krusha caught wind of us! Let's get out of here!" Lanky exclaimed.
"Right behind you, Lanky!" Chunky replied as he followed Lanky. The two Kongs were soon being chased by two Krushas, two Klumps and four Kritters before they arrived at the End of the Level Target and stomped on it to collect the DK Coin sitting on top.
"Alright, we got the DK Coin! Now let's book it towards the next area of this place!" Chunky said as him and Lanky bolted out of there.
Chunky and Lanky soon found a swimming pool and dove in to escape the chasing Kremlings. The Kremlings arrived at the scene and looked around. "Hey! Where'd those Kongs go?!" One of the Kritters asked.
"No clue, but it appears we've lost them." A Klump replied.
A Krusha sighed deeply. "Darn it...King K. Rool's going to give us an earful if he finds out we let those Kongs get away..." He grumbled before the Kremlings left the scene.
Meanwhile, Chunky and Lanky were swimming around underwater in the pool, finding that the pool was much larger than they thought it would be. The pool was also infested with aquatic baddies such as Bitesizes and Chomps. Fortunately for Chunky and Lanky, Enguarde the Swordfish was also swimming around in the pool, and Chunky and Lanky waved at the swordfish, and Enguarde made his way towards the Kongs as Lanky proceeded to get on Enguarde while Chunky held on to the swordfish. Enguarde then proceeded to take the Kongs for a ride.
"Thank goodness Enguarde is here to help us traverse this pool. I don't think we could've taken out those aquatic baddies by ourselves." Chunky thought to himself as Enguarde proceeded to take out the aquatic baddies that were in the Kongs' way.
"It's always fun to take a ride on Enguarde whenever we go underwater. Enguarde has always been a reliable companion for these underwater rides, and I'm glad he's still been loyal to the Kong Family for all these years." Lanky thought to himself with a grin as Enguarde continued to take out the aquatic baddies in their way. Eventually though, the Kongs and Enguarde managed to reach the End of the Level Target, which Enguarde proceeded to hit so that the Kongs could claim the DK Coin on top. Enguarde then ascended to the surface of the pool, and Chunky and Lanky gasped for air.
"Thanks for the ride, Enguarde! We owe ya one!" Lanky beamed at Enguarde.
"Y-Y-Yeah, hopefully you'll be able to help us out again when we need you during this journey..." Chunky nervously smiled. Enguarde smiled and nodded and dove back under the water as Chunky and Lanky proceeded to get out of the pool.
"Well, that was a fun ride. Let's keep moving so that Donkey, Diddy and Dixie won't have to remain captive much longer." Lanky told Chunky as the two Kongs continued to make their way through the Crocodile Resort.
